Outstanding service 👏🏼 bar staff are attentive. Great atmosphere and live music was unexpected but amazing. This is a great wee local where everyone knows your name and if they don't then they will after a few. I'll be recommending this to everyone. You're never on your own in here.

Popped in on Saturday night with freinds. Lovely pub. Staff are lovely. Service with a smile. Manager, Lucy, was really helpful. Couldn't do enough for everyone x Definitely be back.

Nice clean and warm pub. Liam the barman was very polite but not chatty. Got the feeling that this pub has more of a mixed clientele and that it would be busier at weekends. It's certainly more updated than the Kempock (don't have any TV's) and has lots of screens to show sports.

The Victoria Bar is a wee gem. . .great for a blether, a beer and occasionly live music. The staff are always welcoming and ready with a smile and one of the best pint of Tennents Lager you find will anywhere! A perfect example of an old school pub that thrives in new school world.

Went in for a quick pint with the dog and the place was lovely and clean, attentive and friendly staff who were really interested in saying hello to my dog which helped him to settle. He is usually nervous/reactive so the short trip was to help with getting him used to busier places and it was a successful trip. Great music too, will definitely be back. Good price for a pint too

Good wee pub that does what it says on the tin. Green King owned but recent re-brand has seen prices for popular beers tumble. Visit it most weekends.

This is my local and is probably the best pub in Gourock. Never any trouble and staff are very nice.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere

Avoided going to the pub again as I was in last week with friends where we noticed the manager of the pub getting drunk and passing personal remarks to customers, this became a topic of discussion between folks and also heard from someone else that he was arguing with the woman he was in with. As a manager of a pub we found this horrifying and it kind of ruined our night and views on this pub, been going for years, the staff are all lovely but this has definitely made us consider whether or not we will be returning, it has totally put me off going again tonight when some friends invited us. I am not the type to ever leave reviews but I feel this was necessary. I understand people can be drunk and have a bad night but working in pubs myself through the years this was a total red flag from management

Great wee bar right across from the Cal Mac ferry and rail station 🚉. Very friendly staff and a great pint.

We went for a drink on a Monday night when the folk jam was on. It was great fun. Great entertainment - not planned but spontaneous. Really enjoyable evening. Nice beers too!

Excellent pub, lovely staff and atmosphere!

Staff behind bar seem to be more interested in standing at one end of bar and chatting to each other and not recognising people are waiting to be served. Whilst I, and others, were waiting to be served I asked one of the staff who was wiping bar top if anyone was serving customers. The reply was there should be and he continued to wipe bar. I had to ask him to speak to the others, who were oblivious to the fact people were waiting to be served. Absolute shocking customer service.

Hadn't been in for at least 20years. Lovely place as I remember from my youth. Bar staff absolutely smashing and providing good conversation and a really personable approach. Work was most definitely not a chore and this assured me I was welcome (I've got a decent hit ratio for that but its naw perfect!,🤣). It was a quiet mid week situation, engaging lovely staff and it was obvious the regulars had a great relationship with them. Won't leave it 20 years before my next visit!!👍

Went on a Saturday to find the place a tad understaffed. Waited a short while for 6 drinks, atmosphere and music was decent tho, especially for a sports pub.

This seemed like a traditional pub on the outside and inside it appeared to be a drinkers pub. Although staff were friendly the interior was dark and pretty basic with a bar in the centre of the first room you entered so you could stand at either side and the end. I made the mistake of having a glass of merlot which tasted like the bottle had been opened a while. On the other hand the draught beer was good. On a raised level was another bar and carpeted area with seating, almost an open plan lounge bar. Definitely worth calling in if you want to reminisce about pubs gone by but I wouldn't rush back.

First time at The Vic and what a great atmosphere it was! Bar staff were extremely friendly and went the extra mile for us. Place was clean and tables were well looked after especially since it was a busy night! Me and my friends will definitely be back more often! 😊

Took my son out this afternoon for a pint on his 18th birthday. I feel the need to say that the friendly, welcoming service we received from the bar staff was top class and made this special day very enjoyable for us.

Used to be the place to go and was jumping with a fantastic atmosphere. We went on a Friday about 4.30pm and 6 people were in including us. It's used to be our first choice but not now.

Great venue. And was surprised to see a band playing Friday night. Really good band as well.

3rd time I've been in it for a few beers and last time for us ignorant staff she took my order then decided to have a chat on her phone finished with that then have a chat with a pal with our drinks in her hand so we decided stuff your drinks and we left keep that up and there will be an empty pub
