Went for cocktails in the beer garden which were great then ordered braised brisket of beef pretty ropey,and precooked chicken breast with gloomy pepper sauce,no wonder their looking for a new chef.

Toyko Joe's in GreenockIf i could rate this place 0 stars even that wouldn't be enough.Just had a very disappointing meal at Tokyo joes, my dad ordered the soup which had to be sent back twice (was luke warm at best) then inedible the third time it came back, soup ended up not touched.We weren't offered drinks and had to get someones attention after our meals had been ordered then waited over 20 mins for an apple crumble which apparently had not been sent through to the kitchen and did not arrive when we asked for the bill we were told the apple crumble had been taken off the bill (well rightly so it didn't arrive) customer service was really poor, had to get the attention of staff on more than one occasion and each time had to physically go and get someone..Wouldn't mind this as much but went last week too and assumed that that poor service was down to the fact they had just reopened after covid, they got 2 out of 3 meals wrong, no. Apologies nothing just oh right when it was pointed out.... We went back thinking it was teething problems however after today absolutely wouldn't return.. Staff are really unhelpful and just lack customer service skills. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back..

Relaxing lunch with tasty food & wine - great value for money. Staff ever so friendly and disabled loo a plus for elderly parents. Will definitely return 👍

This was our first visit and we enjoyed it. The waitress was very friendly. The garlic mushroom and haggis bon bon starters were very nice and a generous portion. We did have a long wait for our main course and sadly, they had got the orders mixed up so we had another long wait for them to cook new ones. They did apologise though and offered us a free drink which we declined. The burritos were beautiful and the quesadillas were tasty but rather small. The fries were a bit hard and the worst part of the meal. Nice apple crumbles for dessert. Decent place. Pleased we got 50% off though!

stopped by on a wet saturday , ordered a range of starters, was alright for a quick bite. we will go back and try a main course , clean bar

Always great food adn good service. It is not too expensive and the meals are in generous portions. I go there often with family and never been disappointed

Today we attempted to go for lunch at Tokyo joes and where asked to leave due to having 3 prams ‘3 babies’ we advised we could put 2 prams at the side so they weren’t takin up space and they advised this was t good enough and we had to leave due to not being pram friendly. This place is a joke and staff are so rude. I will NEVER go again.

Great food and staff very helpfull as some of our party has food allergies, they took the time to go thru food selection.

Treated my mother to lunch here today during some christmas shopping. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome and show to a booth. The nice waitress gave us our menus and took our drinks order followed by our food order and after a short wait our food was served. Mum had the fish and chips with peas and tartar sauce which she really enjoyed and I had the spicy chicken wrap with salad which was delicious. Great food, good prices and great service. Tokyo Joe's is a real Gem in Greenock and we will be back.

Feel like we were tricked into discount meal that isn’t as advertised! Last time we ate here we went for a 2 4 1 deal but was charged full price until we asked for the advertised price, told they forgot to apply the offer! Went back this time for quick, cheap meal but the same offer now being told owners say the 2 4 1 discount isn’t as it’s advertised so got charged full price (exactly the same meal as last time)!! Hate being ripped off and counter productive as we won’t return, we will tell others and we’ll see what trading standards have to say!!

We ate in here for lunch, the ceasar salad was excellent, very polite, efficient young staff members. Very nicely furnished surroundings also has a beer garden, would certainly return again.

We Came here other day with a family meal was awful the food was cold and i would not come back here children young people should not come here not for kids really and the staff were okay but the food was awful and if we come here again i will be having words with them

Noisy central pub food very good and plentyful staff very busy but friendly and helpful reasonably priced meals for young and old .

Just love this place the best place for eating in Greenock. We eat regularly as a family and have never had a compliant to make! Good value for money they do lunch deals and good sized potions, the staff are amazing and always very polite and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. Would reccomend Tokyo joes 100% have even went out of their way in few occasions to reserve and area for us when celebrating birthdays and thubgs

Friendly staff good selection of bar food at reasonable price use it regularly. Also has good beer garden to relax in soak up the sun well if we get any in Greenock lol.

Six of us went in for late lunch. Service great. Between us we had 4 different meals from the menu. The food was really good,It arrived promptly and hot. The bill for drinks and the food was reasonable. It’s location is central and the decor is lovely. It has been over 25 years since I was in Tokyo Joe’s but we enjoyed it so much the six of us have arranged to meet here next month again.

Was in last night with a group of friends. Had the chicken sizzle, food was awesom and staff were amazing!

Order fish and chips and get pre frozen pre battered crap...better off going to a chippy. Could not get service for drinks...waited forever, but at least it was lousy service with a smile.and price was not terrible for utter garbage I suppose.

Ordered a delivery tonight. Was supposed to be here at 7.10 did not arrive till 7.40. food was absolutely freezing. No onion rings or coleslaw. Gravy was all over everything I ordered. Was totally inedible. Would not recommend at all.

We have ordered food twice on just eat from here for home delivery, service is quick & food is amazing. I would recommend trying it out.

A popular lunchtime haunt, and was quite busy.

Popped in for lunch and staff were very pleasant and welcoming .We ordered a variety of food from a varied menu.The drinks and food were brought very quickly .The only complaint we had was the steak pie was not tender enough for our liking but was still tasty.The prices were great and lovely atmosphere to sit and relax .

great location for town centre,great choices on the menu , also do small portions,good portion sizes .very good value for money

Thought we would try this out but a big mistake. The staff were efficient and it was clean enough but the food was bad. Why are they allowed to advertise fresh haddock in breadcrumbs when it was thin hard frozen stuff. No deviation except chips when asked for baked potato and salad unless i paid a lot extra. Desert was ok but obviously microwaved. Restaurants in our area need to buck up.

Great place to meet friends, the atmosphere at lunch is very relaxed. The food was great, nice portions and served with a smile. Would definitely go back.

myself and my daughter .got macaroni and cheese and chips .my daughter wouldnt eat hers .as it was swimming in grease .so i took it home and heatedit up tonight .and it was horrable.never goin there again

At the end of January I met up with two good friends and we decided to go here for some lunch. Fantastic menu, plenty of choice,as we waited on our other friend who ended up not be able to make it,this gave us plenty of time to choose from their menu. Great staff they did not rush us ,after taking our order and bring our drinks,then our food came quite quick, they kept every so often asking if there was anything else they could get us. Again we did not get rushed and we took our usual two hour lunch break. Highly recommend here for a tasty meal.

I was invited to Tokyo Joes for a family gathering and we had a great day. The food was fabulous and the staff were very chatty and friend . Would highly recommended this venue its idea for a small group gathering.

We ordered food last minute to take away to have a night in and we are now going to do it every week! Food was made fast and tasted fantastic. We all ordered something different and everything was lovely and got finished even though it was big portions. The staff were really friendly when i came to collect it as well. I would rate it more if i could!

Right in the town centre. Clean and welcoming, love a booth. Staff so nice and attentive. Food great value for the quality and quantity, my wife can only manage the light bite portions! Not saying we are predictable but after we go in and sit at a table the bar staff have already got our drinks order started!

5 of us visited for a Mother's Day treat for mum and Gran. After 5 two course meals and drinks as well as a few cocktails we we're pleasantly surprised by the bill. Food was well cooked and tasted great . Staff very attentive even though it was very busy. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice family meal at decent prices. We will definitely visit again in the future .

Great food & prices! Had chicken sizzle, steak sandwich, wraps, spaghetti carbonara etc, also drinks menu is fab.

Highly recommend Tokyos if looking for somewhere to eat in Greenock. Food is of top quality standard and quick serving so if your in a hurry this is the place to go. I got the Chicken Sizzle and can definitely say this is now a favourite dish. Also if wanting to go out for a night out Tokyos do some cracking cocktail jugs at awesome prices so head over and try a few and enjoy the music and Kareoke.

First time going and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. There was a good selection of meals on the menu. You could get small portions too.I had delicious scampi and chips.

Had a lovely lunch, plenty of room to move round tables to get to a booth large enough to sit four. Plenty on their menu, they took orders for our drinks and within minutes they had returned with them. They then quickly took our orders. We were enjoyed our food but oh such large portions.

Having reviewed this place before I have it a lower reading due to a few things. They have now improved on this and the staff are now very good to deal with and polite and professional. The food also seems to have had a bit of a make over and is brilliant. The portion sizes are just right and the prices are great. Good to see it back to its old self.

Food is good in here and reasonable for being a pub there soups good I just wish most of the pasta sauces didn't contain cream they make great burgers and great toasties I love the cheese and Bacon one.The staff very friendly and here and a good M"l"lolK

By far 1 of the best restaurants 2014/15 but unfortunately has went right downhill lately. Food has definitely lost quality and staff are not good at taking complaints and can be quite rude.

Food was revolting & customer service was shocking when food was returned. Will not be returning. Have been here many times before and food was excellent but today was absolutely disgusting

Fairly spacious bar / restaurant, which is comfortable, well decorated and has good ambience and the service is both friendly and efficient! It has a varied menu, including both British & Mexican food, which is ample in portion size and is well cooked! They do smaller versions of some of the dishes for the smaller appetite, they have light bites for lunchtime and a small childrens menu too! They also do a very limited senior citizens menu (couple of dishes)! They have a fair sized bar for sitting at and do a comprehensive cocktail menu, including jug measures at a good price! Thier overall prices are in the mid range! It's great for lunch / dinner and evening partying, with music, entertainment and quizzes at night! They are a family friendly establishment! They also have wheelchair access & a disabled toilet! They also have a beer / smoking garden at the rear! It's a very popular place and although they take passing trade, you are better to book, particularly if you like a booth! I eat their for lunch every Saturday and can recommend it!

Nice decor and ambiance. The wife and I are regular visitors for lunch. The menu had a few spicy dishes, eg Fajitas and Chicken Sizzle, which were tasty but far too spicy to eat. They have just published a new menu which is much better! The prices are reasonably good for the selection offered! The staff are very good and exceptionally friendly. The sharing platter for two, on the menu is excellent, with chicken skewers, tempura king prawns haggis and black pudding balls, onion rings and side salad! That with a side of garlic bread is more than enough for two! Reasonable sized portions!

Been here on loads of occasions. Menu changed especially at lunchtime. Lots of people would rather have a smaller portion. Also now have to pay for standard extra like salad, onions and tiny side of fries. Waiting staff are friendly and hard working. had to send lasagne back as cold in middle and fish for being over done. On the whole though food is decent. Manager very unprofessional on Facebook at customers complaints. Word of mouth can make or break a business.

Cheeky staff, even worse management. Food took forever to come out although was quiet. When it arrived mine wasn't cooked correctly and had to send back with my wife eating alone whilst I wait. Made a comment to the manager and they said it was my fault as I sent it back. Yeh cause uncooked food is my fault. Food wasn't even that good. Horrible atmosphere, staff and managers. Poor. Visited tokyo joes yesterday and it will be the last for a while unfortunately. After sitting for 10-15 minutes with nobody coming near us I had to ask for a menu. I ordered a baked potato and frankly it wasnt fit for sale in my opinion . It was cold and undercooked yet the bottom was burnt black. Nobody came near us the whole time to see if everything was okay. When the girl came to collect the plates i explained the problem and she replied well you could have told us. Didn't think this was an appropriate response. I would also add the restaurant was empty there was about 5 tables in so they weren't exactly Rushed off their feet !

Came here one Wednesday afternoon, ordered vegetarian enchiladas huge portion but not spicy enough for my taste and was charged 80p for a side portion of guacamole. I didn't know about the charge till I went to pay. Drinks are reasonably priced. Have been since to drink only as it has a good lively atmosphere in the evenings.

Visited this restaurant for the first time. Staff friendly and helpfull. Service was fast and Portion sizes were excellent. Only complaint i have is the chicken isnt chicken breast but the jelly like substitute which was a great shame as the sauce for the chicken sizzle was lovely. Charging approx £9.00 for this meal i would expect real chicken. Also check out the pre theatre menu at the back of the folder as this has a lot of the main dishes on it but for £1.00 approx extra you can get starter or pudding. Easy to miss as it is at the back of the menu folder. Had a great family meal despite the chicken. Would go again and choose something different.

Excellent meal, prices around £8 - £9 for main course, good portion size. £2.70 for pint of beer. Very friendly and efficient staff.

Go here a lot for food as its reasonably priced, friendly staff and they serve some good meals and they do light bites menu. its very handy for if your shopping in the area as its next to the mall. All and all its nice only comment I would make is that the children's area is right next to the smokers beer garden which isn't ideal really.

My wife and I had a meal here on the 25/10/14, very busy and popular so a short wait for a table. Had a great main course, Italian beef open sandwich, and my wife had chicago chicken which she really enjoyed. good food , great service and pretty good prices, well worth a visit.

Went in for lunch ordered burger and chips from lightbite menu, was really tasty nice crispy chips and side salad, waitress service was good, will be returning.

As the other review had said this place has now slipped considerably. Although the food is still good they have took to this fad of serving things in little dishes instead of just putting them on a plate. The food is still good but let down by them trying to be too fancy. The seating arrangements is another big change. We had been going here for around 2 years (we are frequent visitors here) and always sat at the front either in a booth or the high seats but on our last visit we were informed we were wrong and they have never let children sit at the front and no amount of us preparing would convince the lady otherwise so we were basically called liars so like the other reviewer we had to wait for a table. The food was great but the wait times and arrogant staff mean we won't be back.Thank goodness for the little bar in cloch caravan park. The food is as good if not better and the staff are brilliant. Pity its not on trip advisor as this place is excellent and now taken over from Tokyo Joe's for us and situated on the way to largs.
