Matzaluna Pizza in West Dunbartonshire

Attended here myself to try their pizza. The owner/manager could not have been any ruder than he was! Think his name is Gordon… Pizza base was rock hard and I think the toppings had been seen in those containers for weeks! AVOID

I’ll keep it short. This is a pretty good pizza. Refillable drinks (Coca-Cola not Pepsi). Nice & clean. Plenty of space for high chairs. And it’s definitely great value for money. Can’t go wrong & will defo be back!!

The pizza here was great - of Domino's quality in my opinion. The service was great too. The pricing was excellent - £12.99 for a pizza and a film from next door is a genius move/partnership.

Best pizzas around, so fresh and tasty. Made to order and all fresh toppings, wouldn't go anywhere else for pizza......

Honestly, couldn't fault the place, pizza was rich with high-quality toppings tasty cheese and crispy something that is missing from so many pizza places. The only improvement could be the tomato sauce don't remember it being bad but didn't wow me, however, that said not every ingredient can blow your socks off The staff were friendly and helpful will be back soon

Excellent. Been twice, both times enjoyed the food and value. Having had gluten issues, having the option to have a gluten free pizza is great. Best restaurant in the area!

Build your own sourdough pizza ... lots of good quality toppings made by hand. Warm service and good location

First visit, recommended by a friend, nicest pizza Ive ever had😋. Great variety of toppings and good quality. Ham is ham hough not just wee cubes. Service was very friendly and professional. The girl that served us was brilliant. Great price too. We went in after 5, but there is a fab deal before 5,still well worth the money for the food and service!! They offer student discount too😁

Visited here for the first time with my boyfriend today at lunch time. Create your own pizza is sooo good! Choose your sauce, cheeses and toppings. Bottomless drink as well. Will definitely return! 😁

After feeding our fish supper to the seagulls we went into this place and had a really nice large pizza We could eat it all price was less than £6 each with coffee as they have a meal deal on before 5pm Will go back for sure

First visit here for lunch with a friend. Staff were helpful in explaining what we could choose as toppings for our pizzas.... There is a great variety of toppings and pizzas were delicious.... There are boxes to allow you to take home anything you don't finish as well. Price is reasonable and refillable juice is available too... The only disappointment is the extra £2 charge for a Gluten Free Base....

We passed this many times and never thought of trying it. We heard many opinions and people advising to give it a try. Even my work staff ordered boxes of pizza from there. We went in to try it and loved it. We enjoy pizza's which is a good start for anyone who likes pizza's. We didn't expect it to be so fast. Its basically a pizza version of subway. You go in, choose your base, choose your toppings etc. It goes in the pizza burner and it doesn't take long to cook. It comes out fresh, cooked and super tasty. I got my pizza spicy and it was fantastic. This is a good option for lunch and dinner, any time of the week.

The pizza is good, but if you go before 5pm it is £5 for 5 toppings which makes for an excellent deal. This also includes unlimited soft drinks.

Went here for a quick bite to eat about 7.30pm, the pizza was great. However the service was awful. Walked in and there were no staff to be seen except one girl eating at a table with her friends (wearing a uniform). Stood at the counter for 10minutes and still no staff appeared, no greeting and no way of ordering food. Eventually had to ask the girl sitting at the table if anyone worked here and she got staff from the back. Again, food was great when we eventually got it however would probably not return as felt very unwelcome. No hi, no thank you, no goodbye.

Pizza was excellent and so were the wings. We had one regular pizza and one gluten free base, which was delicious. Loads of toppings to choose from and really decently priced.

The pizza in here is good. Thin and crispy base with lots of choice for toppings so you can create your own pizza without paying a fortune for additional toppings.it also gives you the option of doing half and half of you want to share.

I am not a big fan of Pizza, but this places pizza is DELICIOUS. Disabled friendly entrance and layout. Good decor and quick to serve but absolutely on atmosphere. Staff look disinterested and at one point all disappeared I to the back for a chat. Offered free WiFi but did not work.most of the night. It was so quiet for a Friday night but could be amazing. I will go.back, but please please up the game with customer services and care

Fantastic place. Friendly helpful staff, great ingredients that allow you to be creative with your pizza and take you through the process of making them. Pricing is reasonable and the end result is worth waiting for. Environmentally sound (no plastic straws etc) and laid back vibe. What’s not to like. Dominos and Pizza Hut don’t get a look in.

First visit here, was a little put off with the fast food approach at first, but for quick lunch during shopping this place does it, the pizzas were delicious and the boxes are provided to take away what you don’t finish, which is a very good idea, will return here

La pizzería se encuentra justo al lado de los cines. Aparcas muy bien. Las pizzas están bien de tamaño. Y lo mejor es que puedes realizar cualquier combinación de ingredientes que se te ocurra. Tienes también variedad a la hora de elegir la bebida. Son bastante rápidos.

I like their base, which is thin and crispy. Great selection of toppings. I usually go for the pesto for the sauce, which I love. They are more than happy to make up a pizza with different toppings on each half, which is what we usually do as a snack before or after a movie. Much better than the cinema snacks. It does always seem to be quiet but that just means you can take your time choosing your toppings and the pizza is ready in a jiffy. Great independent business which we need more of instead of more branches of chains.

Went here before the cinema with my fiancée. Very good prices and the build your own is a thing of beauty. Food was spot on. Tables could’ve been cleaned better but apart from that I would go here again for sure. Staff were also really pleasant.

7pm on a Friday evening and the place was empty set alarm bells ringing but I needn't have worried. Great selection of toppings available, made quickly and was delicious. Added some hot wings to my order which were also delicious. I will be back soon.

Had a fantastic experience here, we were the first ones in at midday, food was delicious, staff where friendly and efficient,very competitively priced, there is so much choice for the pizza topping and sauce, bbq sauce with sundries tomato’s cherry peppers, pancetta and goats cheese. Loved the fact that they had Traditional Iron Bru, original recipe in a glass bottle!!!!

This place serves the best pizza i've eaten till date. It was stonebaked and served hot. You can choose a pizza from the menu and then add extra free toppings (upto 6). I ordered 1 large pizza for two of us. Taste wise it was totally amazing. It is a total value for money. Strongly recommended.

Went here with kids for lunch. Select your own ingredients for your own pizza or choose one from the list. They do kids pizzas plus family meal deals. Every bit eaten by everyone. Order your pizza and drinks then they call you to collect your pizza once it’s ready, they give u cups and drink are self service. Kids enjoyed it as did we £32 for 2 adults and 3 kids. Wee bit pricey for what it is but worth it as a treat. Would go back. Downside is they don’t do delivery ☹️

Been here loads of times now, as a veggie there is some amount of choice, staff are very friendly and the £5 pizza and drinks deal is amazing. Highly recommended. 👍

Absolutely perfect pizza base with good range of toppings and at a very reasonable price. We went just before an evening cinema showing so accidentally got the pre- five deal of pizza, 5 toppings+ drink for £5. The staff were very courteous and pleasant.

Our first visit here was on a Sunday afternoon when we couldn't decide what we wanted for a late lunch. Having never been in before we were a little unsure of how it all worked but it was soon explained to us by a member of staff (I think the manager). As it was a Sunday we took the 5 for £5 deal. 5 toppings and a drink for £5! £20 All in for a family of 4 - amazing value!! We had never tried sourdough pizza bases before either but I have to say it is our new favourite. The kids loved them, my partner and I loved them. So much so we have been back 3 weekends in a row!!

We enjoyed our meal - tasty toppings and catered really well for vegetarians and vegans. Also has option of GF pizza base. Staff were friendly and polite and food was made quickly. I liked the self service aspect and I enjoyed the fact that we could just sort ourselves. However I did feel that the pizza could be a bit larger for price (or maybe offer a free size between 2) and the restaurant was really cold! It is December, but that needs to get sorted. We were chittering a bit. Despite that, we will go back but please sort the heating.

My experience from here was terrible from the get go; we went up to order and were left standing for a good 5/10 minutes while 1 member of staff stood at the checkout doing nothing and another 2 members of staff stood in front of me just talking. Then eventually I had to ask to be served which they then did.

2 alcoholic drinks, 2 fresh pizzas and a side for less than 30 quid. Solid thumbs up. Would visit again.

The pizza is really good. Its tastes great, doesn't take long to arrive and you can customize your pizza exactly how you would like it :)

All three staff were useless, we got there with no one behind the counter serving so we waited a few minutes and someone finally came out. He had no sense of urgency and a customer came up to ask about an order, which they had forgot about and was in fact on fire in the pizza oven. Then the woman who took our order took around 10 minutes to get our orders, with no one else waiting to be served so clearly not busy. She finally got our order then charged me for a drink when I questioned her she said yeah for the cup I said for water? So she was trying to charge me £1.95 for tap water. I have been before and it was alright but for the price they are charging for a pizza that is okay the service is shocking and they haven't a clue about customer care.

Had walked past this restaurant a few times before going in with a friend. You had a choice of picking a pizza or making your own. I decided to make my own and was surprised that you could pick as many toppings at no extra cost. And the base is very thin which is my favourite. There's no difference in cost for whatever pizza you pick.

Visited here for lunch one day and couldn't be more impressed.

Really good pizzas. Quite a choice of toppings. Its a bit like mcdonalds for pizzas though so dont expect fine dining. You order your pizzas etc when you go in and take a seat. They tell you when its ready and you collect them, drinks and cutlery. Highly recommended and right next to the cinema. Very reasonably priced. Does takeaway too.

Almost walked by Matzaluna because of the dark exterior but so happy that I popped my head in! Staff were so friendly and explained how building your own pizza worked. Everything is so fresh and the selection is fantastic. Quick service and pizza was ready in a matter of minutes from going in the pizza oven. Great experience and best pizza I've had in ages!

Matzaluna is a great pizza restaurant, especially if you want to get a quick onbthe go dinner.

Popped in here with the wife before cinema and have to say we have found a wee gem of a pizza place. Really nice set up and really clean, staff were really nice and pizza and garlic bread were amazing. If you have not been yet and you're a pizza lover then would definitely recommend it...

Went here a few weeks ago with a friend before the cinema.. pizza was delicious, £7.50 and you get to choose from loads of toppings and can have how many as you want, I even asked for bit more cheese the girl was very attentive and happy to make the pizza the way you want it.. only thing was I saw someone mention free refills? we were advised off this if this is the case and the place was a bit cold inside but suppose it is winter, but we will be back great place for the empire cinema to have joined too

Popped in here on Friday 17th Feb, for a spot of lunch, so glad we did, make your own pizza totally out of this world, add your own sauce, pick your own cheese and meat or veg toppings as many as you like, great price of £7:50 per pizza, place clean, staff polite and very friendly.

In today for the first time won't be the last , the staff were so helpful and great value £25 for 2 large and 2small pizza and 4 drinks we even took one of the small ones home with us. Well done to the staff today

The decor of the restaurant is lovely & clear. The service was a bit slow especially when it want busy & I could see the people behind the counter. I think maybe the person serving wasn't having a great day, tool payment & said our pizza would be out shortly when we hadn't even told him our toppings. The range of toppings is fantastic & I loved that you could pick anything you wanted. The pizza was great, a crispy Base just the way I like it! Will definitely be back & have recommended this place to friends. A great pizza & great value for money. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the service we received.

With the promise of as many toppings as you like I filled my 11# sour dough base to the max..... and at the surprised look of my dedicated pizza builder as the meats kept flowing and the veggies were denied the monster went into the oven for its glorious end to my Matzaluna experience.....

Really tasty pizza and good price.Its good that you can pick your own ingredients.Staff need more training as they didn't know what some of the herbs where that you put on the pizza.I had to point to them and explain what they were called. Overall good though.

I agree with the idea of this establishment.

Love the concept of this place. This restaurant looks fab, I like the design. Pizza tastes great and the toppings are truly unlimited with a good choice. Definitely visit and try it for yourself!

This pizza restaurant adjoining the Empire cinema is a new concept for me. You choose your toppings for your pizza, as much or as little as you like for an eleven inch pizza priced at £7.50, smaller and cheaper version for the kids. The pizza is freshly baked in a specialist oven and is so thin when it comes out, absolutely delicious. Great food either before or after the cinema, kids will love "building a Pizza". Good value and yummy.

What a brilliant concept this is, had lunch here today and it was absolutely delicious, Clydebank pizzas may normally be deep pan or deep fried but this place should convert lovers of those to real fresh pizza. The idea is simple start with a 11" sourghdough base pick your sauce (tomato, bbq, white sauce etc) then a cheese or mix of cheeses (mozzarella Gorgonzola, feta, ricotta etc) then add as many toppings as you like from the standard veggies plus tings like aubergine, capers, artichokes etc and the usual meats ham, chicken, tuna plus parma ham nduja sausage chorizo, etc the choice is massive and you can finish it with rocket, basil oregano etc. all cooked in a big open oven.

This is a new pizza restaurant next to the Empire cinema in Clydebank. We went along to try it out and were pleasantly surprised. It's a bit like Subway where you choose from a number of toppings but no matter how many you choose, the pizzas are all one price; £7:50.
