Masala Twist in West Dunbartonshire

Absolutely fabulous. Honestly been using this restaurant for the last 8 years. We live in inverarary and pass through Dumbarton every 2 to 3 weeks and we stop in for takeaway. The specials are amazing you need to try the chicken satay done with a n Indian twist honestly the best ever and the portion size is amazing had this twice now. We do love mother India in Glasgow but honestly this restaurant is anazing. have spoke to quite a few people in inverarary and Furnace and they so love this food. Trust me and try the food no colourants and fab flavours xxxx

I have been a regular customer for a few years. I love the food and the delivery is excellent. However, very often the order is not complete and I have to phone the restaurant. For example, tonight my set meal had no poppadoms or spiced onions, which you would think would be easy to get right. Disappointed tonight.

today I had the best food indian in the lunch!! amazing nan amazing curry !!!!!! all was perfect ! i I personally thanked the young chef for the food he made ! thank you Masala Twist team 👍👍👍👍

Arrived with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised by the food. The paokoras were spot on and very enjoyable. Main course was superb though I find in Scotland (generally) the choices of rice dishes are more limited than elsewhere in UK. Settles for saffron rice... Boring I know. Generally great service and tasty food. A criticism would be the appetiser Yes poppadoms are just the same but in my view the pickles are what sets a place out from the others. The riata was average and no lime or similar pickles is a crime. Anyway overall well worth a visit if you are forced to be in the luxury of Dumbarton

Loved their Lamb Curry and Daal Makhni with Plain Parathas.

Nan bread was undercooked very doughy and chicken Chandri was overcooked and tough

An extensive menu, plenty of food, and really friendly staff. We were worried that being a chain it mightn't be great, but based on TÁ reviews we decided to try and were so glad. This place is a treasure!

This is a really great little restaurant in a convenient location! It attracts locals as well as tourists and families. The restaurant itself has enough seating and a lovely mural painted on the wall. If you're looking for a traditional Indian restaurant with a variety of different dishes then this place is for you! The chicken, lamb biriyani, dessert and drinks were excellent! Thank you for the great service!

First time ordering from this restaurant. The flavour of the Lamb Biryani was excellent, meat was tender. The mixed grill was really nice. Meat was tender, flavours were good, a mixture of Lamb pieces, Tandoori chicken kofta and prawn. all very tasty. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. I would recommend this Indian restaurant 5 stars.

We ordered Hyderabad Bhiriyani, but it wasn't actually Hyderabad Bhiriyani. It was a mix of chicken and rice. We also tried the Sharing Starter, which we found pretty good.

Was dubious about visiting due to the external appearance.. but..wow.. interia looks amazing.. portions are huge.. so be aware.. naan bread the size of a tennis racket..

lamb meal was too inedible, too salty. Everything else was perfect

We did order biryani's which they said Hyderabad Biryani. Hyderabad Biryani comes with Raita and salan gravy. They made more like a mix of biryani rice and curry, no side with it. Service staff were helpful and good. Please do make food as per original or near original cooking. Even the veg starter platter also lack the taste, and sauce were sweet which were given with them. Garlic Nan was good.

was given butter chicken when I ordered a vegan curry. rang restaurant and they told me to reheat it before picking it up/bringing me correct curry??? think they were going to take to the correct thouse but I'd opened it before realising. I never bothered eating mine as I didn't trust that it was fresh and they clearly were taking the buttered chicken to the correct customer?

I would rate the food 6 stars if I could - I was delicious, service is great too. Totally recommend :) Portions are a good size (bigger than usual) + naan bread was the biggest naan I have ever seen in my life.

We booked into the Travelodge next door and fancied a bite to eat. The food was really good, tasty and nice. When the nan came out I nearly died. My wife can't eat bread so I did my best but failed. It was huge!!!! We would definitely eat there again. Well done and thanks for the friendly attentive service.

I gave 5 stars a while ago when me and my husband went into the restaurant. However, I was really disappointed with the takeaway we got last night. Everything, I mean, everthing was bland. The chicken tikka massala was awful. The chicken was tough, tasteless and sauce was just is if they used a can of chopped tomatoes. The onion bahjis were bland and no salt added. Everything got put in the bin. Pull your socks up Masala Twist. What a waste of money. Sorry but will not be back.

This was the best Indian meal we have ever had. The staff was attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing! Starters, mains, the biggest and best naan bread ever and really good value too. We wish we lived closer and werent just on our way home to England! You must go here if you are close!! You won’t be disappointed.

Have dined in Masala Twist a few times. Food is delicious and service is great, lovely atmosphere. Got a takeaway for the first time and it was again delicious and delivery was prompt. Recommended 😁

Visited with a group of friends. Very nice and friendly service. Food was great and was customied to our taste. Chapati and Garlic naan were amazing. Recommended for authentic flavours.

Listen folks. If you want a really good Indian meal, you will not beat Masala Twist. If you want your Indian meal to taste as it should, look no further.

Overpriced, certainly not worth the money and would never order again. Butter sauce tasted like a tin of tomato soup. Abysmal.

This was my first time ordering from here but it definitely won't be my last! The food was exceptional! I had Fish Pakora to start and the had Chicken Tikka Tandoori with a Butter Chicken style sauce, with a Garlic and Cheese Naan Bread. The quality of the food and the portions were second to none. I will definitely be ordering from here again and perhaps I may even visit the restaurant and dine in sometime as well. I highly recommend!

5 star staff , 5 star food , very large portions, must be up there as one of the best in Scotland.

everything was amazing. the portions were much larger than anticipated so we happily had leftovers for a few more meals. the quality and portion size was more than fair for the price as well. def worth it. def will order takeaway from here again. even the delivery guy from the restaurant was pleasant. would 100% recommend if you're looking for something filling, fresh, hot, and delicious, all while worth you money.

I’ve just had the most perfect lamb karahi I’ve ever tasted and it was in this little humble Indian restaurant. The service was spot on not too attentive but not under whelming either. Atmosphere almost put you in India. With authentic Indian music playing but not too loud. The Food was amazing and the beer was very cold which hit the spot very nicely. I will definitely be coming here again for a meal. Thank you guys.

Food from here is always brilliant. Never been let down on the items i've eaten. Also eaten in the restaurant which was also great. Prices are steeper than others but the food reflects this in quality. This is my go to place locally for Indian food!!

Visiting UK and going to loch Lomond and stop here on the way. What a surprise. All Halal menu and very tasty food. Service was excellent, and the ambiance is very desi and nice. Pretty decent free parking option and just adjacent to a C-store if you like to put gas and buy stuff at the same time.

Absolutely loved the food. You couldn't beat the food or the size of the portions. Staff were lovely. And the prices were great will definitely be back soon.

Really very very poor- took 2hours and 20 minutes to arrive. The pakora was cold and not crisps because it had been sitting in a white container it tasted horrible. The nan was cold and soggy and really greasy and the curry wasn’t hot. Wouldn’t order from here again

Food was amazing. I did have Indian food in my life before and this restaurant seems to beat them all (taking to consideration restaurants not only in UK!). Apart from that there is lovely "home-like" atmosphere in the restaurant. Food was delicious and portions were huge. We did fail to complete the mains - that means a lot. Over £80 and no one liked their meal. Veg pakora was good, 4 main meals were very poor. Very small portions and little veg/meat. Poor taste. Have used many times before. Wouldn’t use Masala Twist again. Very poor value for money.

We discovered this place by accident several months ago. Ever since then, we regularly do a 110 mile round drive to eat here. The food is beyond excellent. The staff are lovely. The prices are very reasonable. Looking forward to our next visit!

Highly recommend Masala Twist, Dumbarton. Warm welcome, friendly team servicing us, food was extremely plentiful and high fresh quality, the Naan Breads are show stoppers, wow!!
