A good cafe for breakfast and lunches serving basic fare ( everything with chips !) and home baking. Open from 8.30 am until last food orders at 3 pm. I had a bacon and black pudding roll which contained a substantial slice of Stornoway black pudding. Waited 20 minutes for it despite the cafe being almost empty. The cafe has an outdoor deck with views over the sea and it is adjacent to the Kilbride campsite. It has free WiFi.
Just what a proper country pub/restaurant should be….. great service, nice friendly atmosphere, and the food was spot-on! Will definitely be back soon.
Great quality food at much affordable price. The staff was very friendly and helped me in ordering the right quantity for a 10 people get together at my place. Will definitely be ordering more regularly.. highly recommended!!
We visited Canna for a couple of nights in September during glorious weather. We'd only planned one meal at Cafe Canna. but we stopped in for lunch after disembarking the ferry the food was so magnificent we were back for lunch every day. The seafood platter is amazing, so fresh and superbly cooked and everyone is so friendly. It's worth the journey to Canna just for the cafe, we will be back!
What a combination. Lovely food and whiskey and wine to buy. Nice coffee and good service from the staff. We had our dogs with and the weather was great so we were sitting outside.
This spot is a really good place for your Sunday lunch, if you want to get away from the standard Sunday Roast. We were there for Easter lunch and they offered a very tasty 2 course meal for £30 which was refreshingly different from most places. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
5 out of 5 for the food - we tried the massaman curry and noodle soup, and couldn't fault either. You should be aware the restaurant isn't licensed, so you need to bring any alcohol you want to drink (and I guess they charge corkage) - fine for us, as we don't drink, and there were soft drink options.
The reason I've given this 4 out of 5 is because of the booking system - there's an online booking system, which indicates you're making an actual booking, but you get an automated email back saying that it's not a booking and the restaurant will confirm, which they didn't. We decided to turn up anyway at our requested time and there were spaces, but didn't get the impression they had our booking. Food was worth it though.
Not many places to go for a cup of coffee in Tighnabruaich but this tearoom did not disappoint. We were staying near Tarbert and got the early morning ferry across. After a long walk we were ready for coffee. What a lovely tearoom. As we sat there fresh home made scones came out so we ordered coffee and I had a scone. It was the best fruit scone I have ever had - and I’ve had a lot. The lady was friendly and we were not rushed. Highly recommend
No matter how many times i have been to this beautiful and quaint little coffee shop over the years i have never been disappointed. The staff are lovely and the food as always has been perfect. If you want a quaint experience lovely coffee or food and a chance to catch up with friends over a cuppa i would highly recommend Tiffins.
