Well beggars belief all these high star ratings.. Where did they come from?????? In yesterday coffee up by 30p just like that.. WHY ill tell u to cover t xtra cost of NI contributions!! As for t establishment well Where to start ABSOLUTELY NO ATMOSPHERE music R staff VERY DULL needs an Injection of colour paint touch up. Tables I've seen better In charity shops table tops flaking look grubby. In short it looks like a drop in centre esp mornings R a second home for pensioners!! No offence to pensioners as ill b 1 one day!! So if that is my opinion with photos/ videos to confirm t above! Probably not b bk again. Better off in Costa Perks even Morrisons!!!!

Had a fantastic meal here with my husband. We had the crab claw salad and scallops for starter, both were delicious, followed by the halibut for both of us(recommended by the waiting staff) it was such a great dish, perfect portion size. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The place was busy and has a great atmosphere.

We came across this restaurant by accident while looking for a place to eat, and what a blessing it was. The food was 10/10, best curry I ever had. The two ladies that were working that night were super lovely and helpful. Absolute 5 stars out of 5, and if I could give more I would. Will 1000% be coming back when we’re in Glasgow again.

While on a Motorcyle tour called here looking for somewhere to get a bite. after being directed by local shop keepers that we asked to find some where to eat and were surprised by the varied menu, ham and gruyere toast was very very tasty, service was reasonably quick considering they were almost full, staff were spot on, price was maybe a little dear but everything has had a hike, so considering the quality on a par, would recommend and use again when in town

Very busy, which is usually a good sign. However, 20 minutes after we sat down we were offered drinks and to give the food order. 10 minutes later the drinks arrived, minus one of the drinks ordered. It was still busy, with only two staff serving, and they did apologise about the delay. The food was good, nothing standout about it, apart from the lack of wilted greens with the seafood special. By this stage we’d lost the will to complain.

Found this spot towards the end of our stay in Berneray. Food was really spot on, I had French onion soup to start and haunch of venison with Arran mustard mash and cabbage. So good. Service may seem a touch abrupt but actually I think that’s wrong, they were really nice.

The 1906 restaurant is of course situated within the 5 star Turnberry Hotel, and these surroundings undoubtedly enhance the whole dining experience. The hotel itself luxurious and is situated in an outstanding elevated position with stunning views. On arrival you may choose to enjoy an aperitif in the comfortable bar area before heading into the restaurant. We were there on a Friday night and while enjoying a well presented and delicious gin and tonic in the bar, we were unexpectedly treated to an entertaining talk on the ‘haggis’, followed by a rendition of Burns’ ‘Address to the Haggis’, by an impressively dressed piper who also entertained us on the bagpipes. Guests were offered an ‘amuse bouche’ of haggis, neeps and tatties, presented in a small shot glass. Afterwards we entered 1906, the hotel’s formal dining room. This is a beautiful and spacious room with huge windows which frame the outstanding views. The tables were impeccably dressed, as one would expect. The staff were knowledgeable, thoroughly professional, and warm and friendly; without being inappropriate or intrusive. They have perfected just the right balance. My right arm was in plaster, after recently breaking my wrist in a fall. I was struggling to cut my perfectly delicious venison. Our waitress noticed this immediately and discreetly offered to assist me. My husband had noticed at the same time and took the task in hand, but I very much appreciated the waitress’ kindness and attentiveness. The food and wine were excellent and beautifully presented. Our whole experience at Turnberry compared well with the best of restaurants and hotels internationally, though of course it retains its distinctly Scottish ambiance. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and would certainly recommend.

Highly recommend. Good simple fare but really this is a great hal day activity. We drove about 10 minutes south of Oban for the ferry. I think there may also be a bus. In summer the ferry goes whenever it's full so nearly every 15 min. It takes 5 minutes to cross and honestly it took longer e purchase the tkts via app. The walk to the tea house is about an hour. Very hilly but paved or packed gravel. Castle an additional 20 min walk. Tea house has indoor and outdoor picnic tables. Bathroom. Cakes definitely worth the walk. We got in kinda late like 2 and many foods sold out. Soup and crusty roll was awesome
