Perle Oban Hotel & Spa in Argyll & Bute

Last-Minute Stay Turned into a Wonderful Experience! We ended up booking this hotel very last minute after our original hotel wasn’t suitable — and honestly, we’re so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to help us get a room. Their warmth and professionalism immediately put us at ease. The hotel itself is stunning, with a lovely atmosphere and beautiful decor. Our room was clean, comfortable, and stylish — everything you’d hope for in a relaxing stay. We were there for two nights, and the next morning I went to reception to ask for champagne glasses and a bucket of ice to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Not only was the request handled quickly, but the staff also surprised us by leaving a birthday card in our room — such a thoughtful gesture that really made our stay extra special. The cocktail bar was fantastic — great ambiance and well-made drinks. While we didn’t have a chance to try the food or spa this time, we’re definitely planning to do so on our next visit. Highly recommend this hotel — friendly staff, lovely rooms, and excellent service throughout. Can’t wait to return!

We had a fantastic stay at the Perle Hotel. The hotel is lovely, the room was comfortabe and well decorated. We had a amazing meal in the brasserie. Breakfast had a wide selection of delicious options and all very fresh and tasty. The staff were all very friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend the Perle Hotel and would love to return.

The hotel is beautiful and quiet, and their treatment of us is very wonderful. The hotel's location is also wonderful, and they have a certificate of appreciation from the Queen.

Used to visit this hotel often when it was the Caledonian Hotel,stayed often.However since changing it has been refurbished lovely,but not the same,no ambience,the front courtyard which we always enjoyed afternoon drinks was neglected,no comfortable chairs,etc such a shame because it is a wee sun trap🌞so much potential too as it's a great location for watching the world go by with a vino 🍸

We had a great stay here! Rooms were modern and spacious. The hotel’s location is very central and the breakfast was quite good. Would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant stay with my girlfriend for Valentine's Day weekend. Location is brilliant (Right outside train station and near all big attractions). Brilliant service and great breakfast. Was sad to checkout which is want you want from a hotel stay. Would come back again!!!

Very kind staff on all services, we arrived on New Year’s Eve last minute, the staff were helpful and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a nice smart TV. The breakfast was top tier with a nice selection of options.

Stayed while on business and was made to feel really welcome. The room was a single, but had plenty of space and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was top notch 👍

Fantastic hotel, Situated in a nice location overlooking the harbour. Rooms really nice, great food and a nice friendly atmosphere. Stayed here a couple of times now, our most recent stay was December.

The hotel is closed at the moment due to a severe high tide that flooded them out taking out all the electrics and heating but should be open again soon

Great rooms, very friendly staff, walking distance to virtually any of the good restaurants in Oban. Restaurant in the hotel was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place to travelers visiting the west coast of Scotland.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay. The hotel is lovely, had a fantastic meal in the brasserie on one of the evenings. I would definitely recommend the food here. The rooms are very nice and incredibly comfortable. While everything about the hotel was great, I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Every single member of staff I spoke with was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

Could not have enjoyed our stay here more. Favorite hotel of our trip. Lovely room with nice views of town. Good restaurant and bar on premises. Location was fabulous being right by harbor walk and easy walk to ferry terminal, shops, dining and all this wonderful town has to offer. Excellent.

The noise from the street was annoying. Harbour facing rooms are hot. Our second room was better. The breakfast is amazing. Lots of choice and really good. Smoked haddock and poached eggs, fantastic. Eggs Royale - poached eggs with smoked salmon, great.

The location of this hotel in my opinion just cannot be beaten. We have been coming to Oban for many years and this hotel is by far the best place to be.

I had a great experience at this hotel. The location was exceptional, with a super store less than 10 minutes away on foot. The room had highland spa ritual toiletries, which were fantastic. It was spacious and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. However, I believe there is room for improvement in the service at the reception and the breakfast restaurant.

Very conveniently located near the Oban train station and the center of town. The rooms were nice, and I actually had a view of the harbor. Breakfast is included and was very good. Internet only works on the room floors, not in the lobby The staff were very helpful. ry

My wife I did a 16 day 9 hotel’s driving vacation in Scotland and the Perle Oban Hotel & Spa was our favorite hotel. Pros Location- you’re near everything- shopping, restaurants, the rail station the ferry station and tour buses. And the view of the harbor at sunset is picture perfect. Room - large rooms, comfortable bed, big shower - chairs for sitting in the room, plus our room had a view of the harbor. Breakfast- great continental selections- cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice coffee, plus options for hot breakfasts- porridge, Scottish Breakfast etc. very good. LuLu Lounge - fun relaxing lounge great whiskey selection. Good beer choices and fun mixed drinks - my wife loved the Oban Sunset. The staff - front desk reception, waitress handling breakfast and the bartender at the LuLu - all professional, pleasant, helpful and competent. Only Con is I wish the restaurant had a larger menu for dinner.

My husband and I loved our stay here during our honeymoon! The customer service was superb - everyone we spoke with was so welcoming and accommodating. They even provided us with a room upgrade and complementary treats to celebrate the occasion, which was an amazing bonus! Our room was very comfortable and clean, with beautiful high ceilings and a lovely sea view. The hotel location is excellent as well, being right next to the train station and the ferry terminal and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars. We would love to stay here again the next time we find ourselves in Oban!

Having just returned from my 2nd stay at the hotel I enjoyed it just as much as the last time. The new restaurant was lovely and as always the cocktails went down a treat. I got to enjoy a few treatments with Lori in the spa also and would highly recommend the scrub, facial and massage package. Overall the staff are always welcoming and friendly, I love the location of the hotel and everything about it really my room have always been clean, good size and the equipped perfect with everything you need. I will definitely return that you for a lovely trip

What a beautiful hotel! The Victorian architecture mixed with modern rooms and amenities is splendid! We are here from Canada and the trip of 24+ hours was worth it. Be sure to book an afternoon tea with room to eat. We are so very pleased with our stay.

Staff make this place they were excellent, mentions: Paula breakfast waitress so polite and helpful, Francis makes the best cocktails in LuLu, Alistair maintenence very funny man. The room we had was at the back huge superking bed and bedroom. Expresso maker, various teas, loads of biscuits these were refreshed everyday. Lobby with Wardrobe, Fan, heater, Hairdryer, 2 yoga mats. The bathroom was a bit small the shower head was low for me 6' 2" had to bend a little to get under the shower head but hot water was good as was there was loads of soap dispensers (free standing) There was no in room fridge or safe but felt safe enough and locks were good. Being so central you do not need a fridge. If the reason for exploring the islands or area around oban this is the best Hotel, 20 steps train station, right at the door bus stops both directions limited on street parking (free between 6pm to 9am. We used the train station car park £3 all day. 50 steps CalMac ferry quay, there are a lot of restaurants with in walking distance tried 3 see our reviews. Breakfast was really good not a big buffet part but good selection of hot food and all tasty and freshly made. Paula really looked after us and made our mornings enjoyable with her politeness and humour. LuLu nice place to people watch the Afternoon tea looked really worth while saw quite a few locals coming in for it. The cocktail list has a nice selection and Francis who likes to chat and made us laugh a lot really knows how make a good cocktails, (we tried a good few). Would we stay again yes loved the staff they made our stay enjoyable the rooms super clean breakfast really good and everything was sooooo handy.
