Mid week excellent menu well presented. Interesting, pigs head croquettes, brilliant flavour. Venison great. Macaroni and cheese piping hot as was the fish and chips. In all great food in pleasant restaurant.

Great spot. Pizza is brilliant. I recommend the pizza bread and dip. Staff are chatty..beer garden is amazing. Love it

Recently visited whilst on a trip! Had the creme brulee and the butterscotch doughnuts! To die for!

Lovely quiet b&b, rooms are to the back of the bar/restaurant so off the road which was lovely. Room was spotless and always cleaned before we got back ! Food in the restaurant was lovely service was good. Further from Edinburgh then we had realised but fault of ours. Perfect for a stop off heading to the city

This is the best restaurant I have ever been to for a seafood lunch. The service was absolutely perfect - friendly, relaxed yet attentive. The food was incredibly fresh and the drinks were perfectly chilled. The portion sizes were so generous and so it was amazing value for money. I would recommend it as the perfect seafood lunch for anyone visiting Mallaig (they also have non-fish options).

Great restaurant and well priced. The lasagne is a tasty treat as is the steak wrap.

From start to finish you are treated with the most warm and welcoming care. The food is incredible. The crab and bread, kingfish and chocolate mousse I couldn’t recommend more - I wasn’t the biggest fan of the salad but probably just because I tend to prefer a less sweet palate. Tried the wine and ‘snake tree’ cocktail: both delicious. And the most important thing to note - great place to come for coeliacs and gluten intolerances as they have a whole separate menu and did not react to any cross contamination so know they take it seriously. If you’re visiting Edinburgh come visit and make sure you try the mousse!

Under new management - we have had fantastic experience here in the past but this time, while the staff were friendly and it was all ok, aspects were a disappointment compared to how good it used to be. We ordered hot smoked salmon and fennel salad - absolutely no sign of any fennel, or an explanation or apology for substituting rocket. At £23 we expected something really special. The menu is generally pretty good, but not as exciting or varied as under the old management, who did some wonderful tempura, exotic and delicious slaws etc. At these prices they need to up their game. The waiter did bring round a complimentary drink for us to try, which was a nice touch, but overall we left not feeling like we would rush back

after three years of ordering from this restaurant and usually getting a lovely juicy chicken breast, I was disappointed to say the least. dry, unseasoned grilled chicken breast, despite advertising, chips had to be ordered separately. if I see all burgers served with chips I expect just that. the only saving grace was my cheese cake.

We have been here a number of times now across many years and always had great food. Firstly Scottish Tapas, then Bao buns, now fresh pasta. We had Beef Shin Ragu and Chicken Parma, both delicious with perfect pasta. A tiny menu but well executed. Quiet today as the sun was shining and they have no outdoor seating but have always felt lucky to get a seat in the past. Lovely bar staff and nice ambiance.

Went here years ago, went with my daughter the other day, and it defenetly impressed me! Staff were brilliant and went out of their way to help. As a result of an injury, I needed to sit in certain areas, no questions asked, they gave us what we wanted! Not all disabilities are visible. Excellent service and excellent food. I

Food is good and plentiful. Service ok, but I had to ask for parmsan and pepper. Seated through the back, which is compact and tables and chairs close with little space for people/ servers passing.Also seemed to be the area where family/kids were.

Did. Or feel welcome or that the bar tender was at all interested in us as guess .having had a meal in the main hotel in the past we were surprised . Sadly when. My starter of scallops arrived there was a black curly hair on the plate . I did not feel I could return it because the place did not feel but I did say when the waiter arrived to clear the plates that I might have been able to enjoy y meal had it not been for the addition hair , there was no comment
