Nice pub but restricted beer menu and a wee bit cold.

Lovely veggie and seafood sharing platters and pizza tonight, great friendly service, grand pint of Gamma Ray - just a perfect start to holidays!

The food was so delicious and well priced. The place was lovely inside and there was efficient service. Would definitely recommend :)

A big thank you to The Cartvale. My daughter booked tables for her 21st Birthday Party . 2 large tables at the rear were reserved for us . We had a fantastic night . Service provided by the bar staff was excellent . We did not eat on this occasion but have previously and the food was excellent . Great atmosphere in the venue . We were there at a quiet time so I am sure the atmosphere would deserve five stars at another time. Food is excellent especially the wood fired pizzas. Happy to recommend

Have been here a few times and absolutely love it! The food is great, the staff are attentive, hardworking and really look like they enjoy what they do. Always there to help and ask any questions. The owners are a lovely couple, always up for a quick chat and to help in any way. Food is excellent always with a great variety. Cosy comfort for us all!

Looked for dog friendly place near to rouken Glen park. Seen this place as we were drive and off the booze, first time here and was amazing, warm welcomes, wood burning fire and spot on for Sunday vibes. We went for seafood platter , onion rings and chicken dippers, daughter had pizza on kids menu all amazing fresh and tasty 😋 We defo be back, must visit, car park at rear of pub 10 spots I think. Very clean throughout pub and well decorated as well. Owners very happy and chatting to us felt very welcome and can't wait to come back.

The owner was rude and this is enough for us not to go back. Went for a meal and left straight after rather than staying for drinks like we usually would. Really disappointed

The Cartvale is great, its standout feature being the very friendly and welcoming staff and the enormous beer garden that's great for a summer's day. The lunch deal I had, a miniature pizza, came with fries and a salad. The homemade pizza was very good, however, the standard frozen skin-on fries were very dry. It came to somewhere in the region of 9 quid and my belly was full so I really can't complain about the value. Dogs also welcome and greeted with love. Will be back soon!

My first visit to the Cartvale and had a great experience. Welcoming staff and a lovely food. And a big plus for me a dog owner as they will welcome your dog for a truly family event Update food and service still top notch. Great staff and service as good as ever.

Sorry this has taken so long. I had my 60th birthday lunch here with family and friends. Function area at the rear was great, food was fabulous and Liz couldn't have been more helpful. Will use it again in future. Thanks to all staff.

We had lunch at Cartvale and ordered seafood platter,steak burger, chicken wings and calzone pizza just to take home. All dishes were tasty and steak burger was so flavourful. Service was very good, we were informed that platter is big for two but we were so hungry so we went for it . We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. Thank you.

Had the tandoori chicken loaded fries with scotch bonnet highly recommended first class service my brother had the balmoral burger with loaded fries also highly recommended whiskey sauce is beautiful looking forward to next visit

The Cartvale has become our go to place for family celebrations and our favourite place to eat out. The service is amazing as is the atmosphere and the food is always delicious.

Lovely wee pub food normally good especially the home made pizza 🍕.The soup I got on 31st of July was potato and leek with fennel was completely tasteless I had to put in loads of salt.I often do wonder do the chefs actually taste the food and soup.I will give it one more try.

Fantastic pub. Went on a Monday night and was it probably at about half capacity but the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Food was excellent; big portions and food was hot when it arrived. The staff were very attentive and a good laugh. Good location as well, small car park across the road and 5 mins from the train station. Deffo visit again.

Had a lovely meal today with family and 3 dogs the food was good and the service was excellent so nice to be able to bring our dogs along will definitely recommend The. Cartvale comfortable surroundings and great Menu 👌

Brilliant good and service - great husband and wife Tena who couldn’t be nicer or more welcoming. Two lovely Chinese origin members of staff - bright and bubbly girls who are hard working and attentive. In summary, a great pub straight from Orwell’s what a pub should be like.

We have just had a lovely 40th Birthday event for 30 odd family and friends ranging from 3yrs to 84 years old. The venue was ideal for our party, the weather allowed for the younger folks to go outside to explore and get away from the "auld yins" The food was excellent, good quality, varied, hot and delicious. Everyone enjoyed it, and although the quantity was very generous, there was hardly anything left! That says it all. What would bring us back again was the warm welcome from the Landlady and the excellent service from the staff. A big thank you to the Bar Manager who graciously accepted a big hug from my 84year old Mother, when he approached her to ask her if she would like something to drink. She thought he was a grandson she hadn't seen for years! Set the tone for a happy family party. Thank you Cartvale.

Popped in for a bite to eat after a pretty horrendous motorway journey. We were made to feel very welcome from start to finish. The service was exemplary and staff both courteous and friendly. We had pan seared seabass on, I think, a tabouli salad..apologies if I got that wrong but who cares it was absolutely deeelish and perfect after a long journey. Biscoffi cheesecake and lemon tart finished things off a treat. Well recommended and we'll certainly be back.

Food and service was great and the house cocktails are delicious, just a bit different to the normal offerings. Music was a bit loud at 1730, but we just moved a bit further away. It did suit many of the clientele but just a bit loud and dance music not our taste. Would not stop us coming back :-)

The staff were arguing when we were waiting to be seated. not a good look. Really noisy in the bar. far too loud for a meal. Poor service, had to ask several times where our drink order was. Food was mediocore. the battered fish was really greasy. Typically overpriced East Renfrewshire fare.

We came here for just a wee hot chocolate and biscuit on a cold winter day. I really like the interior design and the hot chocolate, however, the wait time for 4 hot chocolates was very long. Would be great if service time was lower

Spur of the moment decision to have lunch here with Mrs on Wednesday. Not busy at 1pm and we were served quickly. Small fish, chips and peas and bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese and side salad selected. Both thoroughly enjoyed. Decor very nice and staff were excellent. Highly recommend. We'll be back!

Everyone had something different and everyone loved their food. Great atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff just adds to the overall experience. Can recommend the jumbo hotdog and the Pizza. If you go on a Thursday stay for the Quiz you will not get better entertainer for £1 each.

Food and staff excellent and we had bikers as well

I asked if they did anything for dogs, yes we can do a hotdog and was charged £7.95!!🙄 That was the price for one with bun and chips. Surely that is a bit expensive. Apart from that everything was great. Xx

This is my favourite pub I love it. I held my wifes 6oth at the cartvale and all the family enjoyed the Cartvale experience. The food was fantastic and the staff were exceptional and friendly. This family run pub is a must visit, its always an enjoyable outing. Try it folks.

First time I've been here, and I must say the outside doesn't do it justice! Lovley decor wonderful FILLING food and to cater for a large number staff where able to cater to us nothing was a problem. For drinks and 14 of us 2as very reasonable and was able to get a doggy bag for the left overs . Its dog friendly which next time we will be taking our dog to enjoy the atmosphere. Dog friendly. The specials on the menu are usually the ones to look out for as they're always great, especially the steak and ale pie! Parking is limited on site but there's a big enough parking area across the road.

Thought would book the White Cart for Mother's Day and accidentally booked the Cartvale. However, turned out to be a good move. Good service, good food and good portions. And the kids were quiet when eating as they were enjoying their food. Was busy, but so were the staff so no great wait for the courses. I would recommend giving this place a try, I will be back.

Found this gem last year despite living in EK for over 50 years! Lovely environment, good vibe, brilliant staff, delicious food and a short train ride. Easy parking if taking the car. We had a really nice time last night- thanks to the staff who looked after us and the delicious food. Looking forward to many more visits to the highly recommended Cartvale.

Great place, family friendly, staff are excellent and know their whisky! Food is perfect, small but well thought out menu🤌 looking forward to next visit - dirty fries and a beer is recommended 🤤 Also serve the coldest Guinness this side of Dublin. Beer garden is huge btw

We had a small family wake in the private dining area for twenty people .This place was amazing . Excellent buffet, so much food and choice .Excellent friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful .Last minute having to add a few more numbers that weren't expected .All accommodated with a smile and no problems. Highly recommend this place it's a five star experience .Thank you Liz and all your amazing staff .

A lot of people had told me that the Cartvale's pizzas were some of the best around. They were all correct. One of the best pizzas I've had in Glasgow. Actually cheaper than some of the takeaways around here too. Rest of the food was really nice too and the staff were very good. Could do with some more interesting beers though.

The Cartvale hosted a get together for our son’s christening in their function are and the whole experience was just outstanding, so we’d like to say a huge thank you to Liz and Rick and to all the staff. We had the area at the back of the restaurant, and it was the ideal space for our group as we felt we had our own space. The staff were so accommodating to everything that we asked for and very attentive. We were amazed when the buffet arrived as there was such a spread and everything was absolutely delicious and such a variety. The children absolutely loved it too. Our whole family were raving about it. Overall we had such a lovely time and cannot recommend the Cartvale more. Thank you!

We had the most fabulous family buffet for a christening. The hosts were so accommodating with our large party, the atmosphere so relaxed and comfortable. The FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE! A blend of all the favourites was prepared... Light crispy tempura calamari and fish, thin crust pizzas, garlic bread sticks, salt and chilli breaded chicken as well as smoked salmon bagels and sandwiches. Something for everyone. It was such a wonderful dining experience, as it has time every time we've visited as a large family. Can't thank you enough.

What a lovely evening on Friday. We managed to get booked at short notice and were in the bar for dinner. We love the atmosphere in The Cartvale - always busy and staff are great. We were served mainly by Gav who was fantastic. Always on hand, checking we had everything and that we were happy. What a credit he is. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. Great food, great prices and wonderful service, thank you all.

Staff give an amazing service at this restaurant and are super helpful welcoming and friendly. Food is freshly made and delicious too. This is our favourite place to come with family.

We arrived to Glasgow after hours of flying from the US. Found this pub on a whim and decided to stop in for something to eat after a long journey. The people, the food and the atmosphere have made me so excited to travel the country. Everything we ordered was phenomenal and the staff was so wonderful!

We held our gender reveal party in the Cartvale the venue was beautiful the place was spotless and the service by staff was first class we had a lovely private area at the back of the bar area with a beautiful balcony. The food was out of this world and was great value for money I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to book a function

Great place to stop off for lunch or a cuppa and a heat by the fire, as bikers it can be hard to find places with good parking and plenty of room for putting ur jackets and helmets, the cartvale has it all as well as friendly happy to please staff, one of my favourite places now.

Better than average pub grub. Good selection of beers. Really friendly and helpful staff. Not part of a pub chain. It can be very noisy at night making it almost impossible to have a conversation.

What a brilliant find, we stayed at a hotel close by which had no atmosphere so we looked at what was around the area. What a brilliant find. Met the owner on entry, she got us a great table to watch the sport, food was lovely, nachos, chilli chips and a pizza, all 10/10. Great atmosphere and only wish it was my local.

This is a little late it was 2 weeks ago we visited,we nipped in n the off chance f could fit us in and the manager she was very friendly and welcoming,and seated us ,we ordered food didn’t wait long ,the food was luvly and would definitely return again the manager I didn’t catch her name ,asked my hubby if the fish was nice he said it’s ok better in Yorkshire though she said bugger of back to Yorkshire then all in good banter and friendly way ,we all laughed ,it was a great experience and don’t hesitate to try this place,

What can i say... They saved the day. After an appalling attempt of afternoon lunch at the Whitecart pub, we called to see if they could accommodate 12 people for a very last minute booking. To which they were more than happy to help. We were welcomed in by the manager and seated with drinks served up within minutes. The fantastic menu and specials menu choices made it very hard to chose what to eat. With Fish and chips and Steak and haggis burgers with truffle and parmesan cheese chips the main choice for us. The food was amazing, all cooked fresh all served hot, a great wee afternoon. Thank you for the lovely food and warm welcome at Very short notice. We'll be back Very soon.

Having had a disaster meal for eleven of us around the corner the Cartvale restored belief in excellent pub food. Everything was amazing including staff and atmosphere and we will definitely be back for next family outing. Thanks guys.

Absolutely delicious food. We had a table booked at the white cart round the corner to which every plate of food got sent back. Phoned here and was seated within 20 minutes. Honestly some of the nicest food we've all had in a while. We'll done cartvale we'll see you next month !!!

Three of us in for food and drink at a small round table in front of the bar. The table was a little small for everything, but did the job. It was busy and there is not much space where we were. But that's the pub dinner experience. There are larger tables upstairs and outside. The pizza was great, and one is enough for a hungry adult. I had loaded chips too and they alone were enough. So perhaps share with others. The loaded chips did have a covering of chili flakes. Fine by me but perhaps not for others. Staff were attentive and service times were fine. Far easier to get to than the city centre and just as lively. Children were present too. We had a few beers each to add to the price.

We had a lovely dinner here. We had the sharing Buffalo Mozzarella starter (one of the specials)- amazing, then I had the warm salmon salad, and my husband had the roast lamb( another special), served with proper homemade Yorkies, and roasted veggies ( no bland boiled veg!!). Lovely bottle of wine, and friendly service! Our dog slept under the table- we walked there and back- perfect evening! ( had a nice gin in the sunny beer garden before dinner too!)
