Always have a really good experience here, never any issues with food quality or seating. Sandra always here when we come and always friendly and great with the kids.

Great service and very attentive staff. Food wasn't great though...kids tomato very bland and my southern fried chicken baguette was very sparse on the actual chicken

I just wanted to give a special mention for Alexis. When we arrived, Alexis was so helpful, always friendly, smiling and cheerful to all the customers, making it a welcoming environment I which to relax and enjoy a meal. Many people don't appreciate that the success of any business can be down to it's staff, and Alexis is the perfect example of the type of staff member that one would hope for.

Jenny was particularly awesome, very helpful

Terrible experience - First, the customer service was poor as the person who was going to seat us was extremely rude and abrupt as well as not being helpful and taking around 20 minutes to seat us, then I ordered a cheeseburger, the food took atleast an hour to arrive and when it did the server was extremely rude again, the meat of the burger was very burnt, black all the way through it, chips were frozen, and peas were cold, when I requested for it to be taken back so I could get another plate of fresh food, they refused, to add to this, unfortunately the atmosphere was very dim and none of the workers seemed to be happy and I received very poor customer service off of them, it was not up to my expectations or standards, will definitely not be back and do not recommend unless you want to receive poor customer service full of abrupt people who are not caring or helpful toward their peers. Disgusted with this service.

We went to the Capelrig for breakfast yesterday, last minute plans but what a lovely morning with our 1 year old. The Easter Bunny Breakfast was just finishing when we arrived and they very kindly came over to say hello to our son and gave him an Easter egg too. We was absolutely delighted! Huge thank you to Alexis for going above and beyond. We had a lovely breakfast too and the park was opened.

Great local pub! Great pool table and plenty of TVs to watch any sport and very accommodating! Great food and great service, couldn't fault William and all the staff. I have a toddler and love all the events they put on for the kids. So lucky to have a place like this on my door step.

I went with my mum for a wee dinner and their vegan selection is amazing. The vegan fish and chips are so good. I think I found my new place. East Kilbride has pretty much nothing for vegans in restaurants. I'm still thinking about the fish and chips because I want more. Amazing food 🤌

Sorry but not a good experience. Apart from our table not being ready for us I could understand that with it being mother's day and very busy. They didn't have most of the items that advertised on the menu, still we had no complaints but when the food came it was cold and not nice. The chips were cold peas brick hard and my grill was swimming in a liquid not fit to wash dishes in. We were not happy. 7 of us and none of us had a desert. We won't be returning.

Really friendly staff. Food was really well prepared, very tasty. Plenty of parking. Seems like family pub (i was dining by myself) loads of fun things for the little ones to keep entertained. Great selection of beers wines & spirits. Food for every meal & special dietary needs. Friendly atmosphere. Plenty of tv screens with various sports or news on. Definitely recommend popping in if your in the area.

My friend and I were dieting. We had chicken dishes. The menu has calories which helped. No alcoholic drinks because we were both driving. The atmosphere was just right for us because we wanted to catch up and not have too much going on round about us. Likewise we were happy with the service because we didn't' want a 'get in get out' vibe.

Really friendly staff, good selection of food, it would definitely benefit from some beer on draft - choice of a few lagers or Guinness but no heavy (sorry but hate the modern term 'dark beer' 😊)

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere. Especially good for family’s. All the meals we had were cooked to perfection. Special thanks to Andrew for being so kind to my son, and gifting him a little panda. We came several times over the weekend and we cant complain about anything!

Great friendly staff in a great family restaurant

Had a lovely family meal yesterday. Nice food and atmosphere. We were seated by Colin in a kind of private bit as requested. Thank you Colin. Also not too noisy so it was easy to have a conversation.

Brilliant as always, Colin and the staff welcomed us even though it was very late and we were a party of 10! Food excellent, live music was great, we had a fantastic time! I'd give six stars if it were possible.

The price of food is reasonable. Food is hot enough, coffee is good. Staff's service is wonderful, we served by Alexis & Carys today. Especially Alexis's smiling ^-^ and helpful~

An Amazing restaurant that I highly recommend to anyone to go there and try out the amazing food.

Hadn’t been to establishment in quite a while found the restaurant to be very clean and welcoming, ordered food at bar as had difficulty joining WiFi so couldn’t use app (only negative) was helped by a young lady (Orla) with collecting cutlery and accompaniments, she was very friendly and happily going about her duties, she later brought our food over and checked in later that we were satisfied and without being obtrusive. She made a point of thanking us and saying goodbye when we left. Over all very happy with visit and quality of food, will definitely not leave it so long again.

Met with a friend for a quick dinner, restaurant was clean, food was good and great value for money. We needed help with the menu at one point and Orla was extremely friendly and helpful - she dealt with our query quickly and efficiently and was an asset to the company.

Service & Atmosphere The staff are friendly. The pub has a welcoming feel, making it a good place for casual dining or a quick drink. Value for Money Prices are reasonable, making it a budget-friendly option for families and groups. Meal deals and promotions add to the appeal. Overall A decent choice for an affordable meal in a laid-back setting. Will be back.

Food is nothing special, the service was better but not all of the waitresses were friendly and nice, just the brunette girl was very nice, the blond girl was very unpleasant and seemed bothered about our presence there

Called here after driving since early and too late to eat at the hotel next door. Served by Colin at the bar and asked about food. Told unfortunately kitchen closed but asked the chef Gav if he could serve me a curry. Happily obliged even though it was well after 9pm. Brilliant service and went out if their way for me

Went here to watch football, good atmosphere.

Really disgusted with the service, left stood waiting for someone to come to seat me as per instructions. Instead they rather not move from being the bar and serve people approaching bar after I had been stood waiting. When I asked when someone might come to seat me I got told she was busy serving people. When I arrived 1 person was being served with nobody waiting . They proceeded to serve another 4 people before I said anything. Not even an apology, I turned and walked out. Obviously my custom was not important. So much for customer service

We have been here a few times over the last few days each time our server was Colin . Help was jolly made us laugh and served us with a smile . He made our visits enjoyable , the other staff members were good to . Food was great each time , today was with my brother and his family as a remembrance meal to on my dad's first anniversary of his death . It was lovely .

Waited to long for food and when it arrived it wasn't cooked properly chicken was spongy and a bit pink I thought it was scampi at first chips where cold and chicken wings very pale didn't eat it but by the time it arrived late we didn't have enough time to complain.as.we.would have been.late for our event we r very disappointed with our meal as I don't get to go out very often as am disabled

We had a lovey family dinner and drinks here for my sons birthday. The food was lovely, reasonably priced and didn't have to wait too long either which was a bonus. You have the option to order at the bar or use the app from your seat. Plenty of parking and a heated outdoor area for the smokers. It also has a play area outdoors to keep the children amused. Just a lovely family friendly atmosphere ☺️

Nice place for a snack and drinks

Thank you to Amy for looking after our table when our family came to have a delicious meal together. We ordered a variety of different meals across the menu and everything tasted amazing. Our drinks were replenished very rapidly and overall we were taken care of a great deal. Huge thank you to all of the friendly team, we will be back!

Looked on line to see opening hours new year's day. Shown as closing 11 pm. Went there for a meal. Had a three coarse meal. Meal was good. Rang last orders at 9 45 not 10 45 as advertised. Told to get out at 10 10. Barman very rude. Was not given chance to finish drinks.if this is Scottish hospitality you can keep it. Glad to be going back to England tomorrow.

Food was fairly decent for what I expected but for a family friendly place, I didn’t find it really was. There’s nowhere indoors for kids to play and we had quite a lengthy wait for food - kids never like this.

Friendly staff, fast delivery on food and drinks, walled park for kids outside, great for while waiting on food. Prices are affordable. Can get busy and loud during events, other than that it's very family friendly.

Quiet for a Saturday morning, food came really quickly & was very reasonably priced. Would come here again!

This was a new experience for me and it did not dissapoint. Jenny took great care of me and was very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious and amazing. I had a number of meetings with clients and the atmosphere was perfect. Very convivial. Thank you I will return.

Decent pub grub at a. decent price

We were just visiting for the weekend and stumbled upon this gem of a pub. The dj was in full flow and the atmosphere was great. Bar staff were friendly too

Had a fantastic experience at Hungry Horse! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great, but the highlight of our visit was the service. Dave was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Highly recommend and will definitely be back

Good green king p.h. meeting my family in this venue, ideally situated for a logistical reason, in Mearns opp premier Inn where we are staying. Excellent atmosphere and good food!! Breakfast to good to miss!!.

Meal was good and at a reasonable price, also didn't have to wait too long for it. Ordered the meal and a pint of King Mango, through the app, for some reason the drink I ordered wasn't in stock and they had never heard of it. Had a nice pint of Neck Oil instead.

Went on a Saturday night for dinner and a few drinks. We were served by Jenny who was very helpful and friendly and the food was served quickly. Lots of great vegetarian options and the nachos are delicious!

Lovely morning here for breakfast. Disappointed there was no butter, orange juice or decaf tea but otherwise it was good. The service from Alexis was first class. She was lovely and couldn’t be more welcoming.

Always nervous about a Hungry Horse, but lovely food and great service. Play area is really nice. Great for a beer garden dinner with the kids.

We visit regularly and to be honest it's always been fine. Nothing enough to rush to review. This time ( a Friday about 4weeks ago) the service we got from Annabel was outstanding. She was super friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She was a star.

Lovely warm welcome and great service from Sandra when we popped in this morning for coffee. Dog friendly in the bar and so my friend's dog, Oscar, was made very welcome too.

Popped in for lunch here on a weekday. Always have special offers each day on food. Food was fine. Standard for this type of place. Stuck with fish and chips and steak pie. Both were nice. Got a couple of sides which were good as well. Got their doughnut special as a dessert which was very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Cheap and cheerful place with a play area for kids outside and dog friendly in certain areas of the pub. Section split off for adults only as used more as a bar I think. TV advertising euros just now. Lots of evening entertainment advertised also.

Annabel served us she was friendly and efficient ,all 6 of us enjoyed our meal and evening out.

Staff are excellent and huge thank you to Colin for making our visit great for the kids.
