Service was great, food was nice without blowing me away, personally found it bit pricy - £7.50 a pint is eye watering. Overall a nice restaurant though.

Been coming here for years and always phenomenal service. Amazing atmosphere 🥳 the service was fantastic. Staff are friendly and incredibly kind, attentive made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Thank you for the lovely experience! On the other hand, the food was delicious and cooked to perfection and very clean place.

The location, in an old bank, is quite unusual and the ambiance is quite cosy. The arrangement is a bit tight... and meat cooking a bit overdone to French liking... but overall Banco remains a good place for a dinner. Good service.

Service was quite quick, at a busy time around Christmas. That said, it took three hours to get three courses. I just think that the prices are too high for the quality of food. £10 for bruschetta, albeit a small pizza size float of bread. I tasted a number of dishes at our table and they were OK, but not at the top end of taste, despite the prices suggesting they would be. The choice was extensive, which helps, but a price drop of around 15% would make it value for money.

Went on Sunday with Family.I was disappointed in Turkey because it was so processed and not real slices of meat.The gravy was very watery and needed thickned up with corn flower.The service was fantastic and a special thanks to Rob who was so attentive.

Ordered takeaway tonight. Disappointed when I opened the starters , tempura chicken and mozzarella - neither of them came with dips as advertised. The lasagna was a mix of sloppy and crunchy, just disappointing. The other pasta dish looked great, unfortunately there was so much chilli in it, most of it went in the bin. Heard good things, nice premises but the over product and service was hugely disappointing.

I celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday at Banco last night , and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely amazing, from the starters to the mains. Each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. Our server, Nikky, provided exceptional service—definitely a 10/10! I highly recommend Banco for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. Literally just left after my husband had a moment of inspiration while we were at Silverburn shopping. Food amazing. He had the soup and I had Brochetta for starters. Both fantastic. For main I Had the mussels and hand cut chips ( sauce was to die for and a meal in itself) hubby had the prawn ravioli. Everything piping hot and restaurant so cosy. Biggest shout out to the staff though who were all welcoming especially the tall blonde girl who was delightfull. We are not local and came from Milngavie but will definitely return. Well done Banco

I've been coming here for years myself, with friends, family and with colleagues. Each and every time it has been outstanding. I can honestly say in the, probably 75+ 😄, times I've been here, I've never had a bad meal. However, as well as good food, it's the staff that make this place. The staff go out their way to make you feel welcome. I have allergies and they never once made me feel like it was an issue. Instead, they made me feel super comfortable. The staff are a credit to Banco, I can't praise them highly enough. Hands down the best restaurant in East Renfrewshire. My absolute go to! Thanks for everything you do folks, it's hugely appreciated! 🙌🏻🇮🇹

Disappointed at the way staff treated a take out customer!! They cancelled the meal but offered no apology! Said they has emailed but the customer cannot check emails when driving to pick up the food! Poor service! Won’t be back

I thought I had given Banco a 4 star score, our visit was early on a Friday for lunch which was very nice.

Food was generally very good apart from the gluten free bread which seemed very poor and cheap. The most annoying thing was that we were refused a 125ml glass of wine and told the smallest we could get was 175ml. We have since been told that licensed establishments are legally obliged to provide this. Not sure we'll be back.

Banco, what a wonderful experience and thank you for making my father's Birthday an extra special event. From booking and accommodating us, to your cheery goodbyes I can say this was a wonderful restaurant to visit. We arrived and were seated under the delightful cherry tree with lights above us and soft music in the background. We were attended to straight away, with our menu choices explained and our drinks order taken. At a nearby table a party of 12 were also seated and were being attended to, and I mention this because the service we received was not impacted by the large order they made while we were looked after and given a most delicious meal. The Birthday boy had the Fish Stew and was over the moon with it, filled with a tasty combination of seafood and was completely satisfied. My fish was done to perfection and tasted wonderful. The evening went so well we soon found ourselves 2 hours later satisfied and content. Our waiter and waitresses were very accommodating and made us feel like we were regulars. Friendly and relaxed. Banco, I will be back, I will be recommending you and thank you for the wonderful attention to detail and service. In closing, toilets are a marker of a restaurants attention to detail and there was no exception here. A well run, fantastically presented and tasty gastronomic experience. Thank you.

Flippin Awesome. Visited for lunch whilst up for a family event. Service (Rob) and food outstanding. Really flexible on little changes. Pizza was sooo good. Kids had brownies for pud which were ridiculously tasty.

Hastled, hustled, heranged from start to finish by staff. My friend booked a table for 5.30 last night and had phoned the day before to up the booking to 4 people from 3. The restaurant then changed the booking to 5.15 without consultation or verbal confirmation that this new time would suit us, which it did not. So rather than having the table until 7pm they expected us to be off the table early. This was because they had booked a 60th party seated in that area. We had 2 courses, both delicious, with wine and coffee. However it felt like a speed eating contest because the waiting staff were telling us every 15mins (honestly) the time the table was needed back. We hadn't finished our drinks and coffee when it was suggested we go stand at the bar to finish up. Eventually a booth was found for us until 7.30. But again we were told before we sat down the get out time and this was repeated on 3 occasions the time. Initially we had been told a table at the bar would be found for us because we would need to leave our dining table early but no time restrictions mentioned. At exactly 7.30 we were asked to get up from the second table. I appreciate this was later than our original time to leave, but they had said when we first came in that they 'guaranteed a table' in the bar area. So when they moved us to another time restricted place we felt harassed and stressed. I like to give people the opportunity to rectify poor customer service at the time so we asked to speak to the manager. The guy we spoke to said he was the manager but offered no apology or acknowledgement for changing the booking time, and said he would try and sort something. As we were leaving he said he had found us another table! If their communication skills were better (and frankly that would not be hard) they would have been aware we were actually going to the theatre and would have been leaving anyway around that time. They had clearly overbooked and were cramming people in with no gap between dining. There was no way we could have had 3 courses as we didn't have time to complete 2 courses, and we were quick ordering.The night was impacted by the badgering from the waiting staff. There was no apology or effort to give us a better impression of their restaurant. The situation started because of their mistake moving our booking forward with no agreement from us, and there was no recognition that they caused the issue. Credit where it is due the food was lovely but customer service, including trying to resolve issues is very poor. I would avoid here for pre theatre booking unless you are having one course and eat very quickly!!!!

I don't know where to begin with this one... My friend ordered fish and chips. The 'fish' came and was predominantly just batter and almost no fish, so we complained. The staff then tried to argue that there was adequate fish within the batter. My friend maintained that the serving was substandard (it really was) and she was asked if she would like something else because there were no more portions of fish left (in other words, she was given the last pitiful piece that day!). She ordered the steak sandwich instead. At the end of the meal, the bill arrived and it had 3 x steak sandwiches and 1 x fish and chips. We called over the staff to say that an error had been made on the bill, to which management were called and they then decided to once again argue that there was sufficient fish in the portion and that "the best they could do" would be to take off half of the cost of the fish and chips from the menu!!!!!! They were charging for the meal that they took back after offering a replacement, and that my friend didn't eat! Needless to say, we argued our point and did not pay for the fish, nor did we leave a tip. What absolutely atrocious customer service. We will not return and are making sure we tell everyone about our experience.

The food was lovely, a lot more than just the typical offering of pasta and pizza, although we will be back to try those as well. The service was really friendly and helpful, and the price was less than I expected for such good food.

We had a gorgeous Mother’s Day lunch here yesterday. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was fantastic. Each member of staff was nicer than the last! I noticed who I assume to be the manager/head chef walking about and chatting to tables and I think this makes such a big difference. There’s clearly a very nice work culture here with friendliness and efficiency at the top of the agenda. We will definitely be back asap! Thank you.

Picked up an order for take out tonight and can’t believe I’ve not been for a sit in meal here yet !!! Great energy in the place and the staff were nice and friendly. Was busy when I went through the door, but as I was taking out the chef made my food straight away (small order so no doubt wouldn’t be able to do that all the time but I did appreciate it) The food quality was fantastic and I’ll definitely be back, next time with friends and to sit in.

Well I'm not a Italian restaurant guy infact I m a curry type but the wife wanted a pizza so we tried banco, we had fucaccia to start and it was really nice very tasty, wife had her pizza which she said was wonderful ,me I opted for the spaghetti and meatballs giant portion and the meatballs were delicious,so yip this is a great place to eat and we will be back again

An impromptu visit to friends in Giffnock resulted in an equally impromptu visit to Banco. They fitted us in at short notice and from that point it was an excellent experience. The menu choices are varied offering vegetarian choices as well as good traditional Italian offerings. The Lamb Shank was huge and delicious the meat fell 0ff the bone, a choice of starters had us tasting the parfait and the shrimp cocktail followed by fish of the day, steak and my delicious lamb, finished off with orange and chocolate cheesecake plus coffees . The food was fabulous and the service was excellent . You must go .

Was my first visit in Banco and I was really impressed. The food and service was amazing. Portion sizes were fab and the atmosphere was great. Our waitress (didn't catch her name unfortunately) but has only been there 4 days and she was brilliant. I will definitely be back.

Banco accommodated my friends and I at short notice on a Friday night. We had been let down by Malaga Tapas Clarkston at the last minute. We had a lovely evening. The service was great despite how busy they were and we all enjoyed our food.

We had booked a table for here but unfortunately my mum wasn't well enough to attend. I called the restaurant to let them know and asked if we could have a delivery instead as we wanted to try their food,they agreed. Quite some time passed and their delivery driver called saying they couldn't locate us, they had the wrong address and were miles away from us. Called the restaurant back up to cancel and the person I spoke to was so rude telling me that we had no delivery as they don't deliver during the week,I told him we were told it was ok and he again was very rude and simply passed me on to someone else. Shocking service and after being so excited to try the food, we will never go near the place. Found out that it was the manager that was awful on the phone. What a terrible manner. The other staff were lovely he should maybe think about taking some lessons from them.

We visited today the food was great, staff were lovely, i just feel like the music was abit too loud and the place was so crowded. Still an amazing place and will defo come back again.

Nice food, big portions, staff were great. A very wide menu, with a variation on standard Italian fayre. It wasn't cheap but not crazy expensive either.

The 5 Star rating doesn’t do Banko justice. Unreal menu (of which I’m currently working my way through). Amazing staff. Make you feel like royalty from the moment you arrive until you leave. An absolute MUST. If you visit once, you’ll visit again……. And again…….. and again! Incredible
