We came for a spot of lunch and my partner ordered a panini and I had asked for a plain scone (toasted). The waitress returned with a fruit scone toasted and I explained that I had asked for a plain scone. The waitress took the scone away and then came back with it to advise that there aren’t any plain scones and I would need to pay for it as it had been toasted. I was also told that I had asked for a fruit scone, but I never, and this was verified by my partner. Plus, I can’t eat fruit scones. The service was really poor and not customer focused. I would not come back.

Four of us on a cycle tour called in this morning for breakfast after getting off the ferry. My husband and I had the veggie breakfast and we can honestly say it was the tastiest and best value breakfast we have ever had. Poached eggs, delicious mushrooms, spinach, grilled halloumi, toast and the tomatoes, oh the tomatoes, plentiful and the very best taste ever 😋😋😋 I must also mention that the staff were all very efficient and friendly. We are sadly unlikely to ever be there again but would advise anyone to try the veggie breakfast.

We were unfortunately late for food so went in the take away, the girl was so rude, arrogant & clearly didn’t want to serve, as when she asked if that was all we wanted a member of my family said can I just have, the waitress then just replied oh you can’t we close in 5 mins in such a disgusting manner !!!

Always enjoy a cooked breakfast at Little Rock. We dropped by this morning shortly after 9 and it was full already! However they added us to a waiting list and we sat outside for 20 minutes or so then got a table. A previous review says it's now a deli and that they don't do hot meals, but that's nonsense. While there is a deli section the other half is still a café - I had a smashing cooked breakfast, others in my party had hot filled rolls. Always 10/10 here. We'll always come back.

We were in Brodick for four nights and ate here for breakfast every morning. They had a few different vegetarian options which we appreciated, although the food could have been cooked longer, particularly the halloumi. The addition of toast perhaps made them worse for myself as it was very crispy. That said we did return each morning. My wife is particular about coffee and said they were good coffees.

An awesome, popular little cafe right on Brodick shore. It offers a good range of food without overcrowding the menu, making sure that they are focusing on quality rather than quantity. I was seated quickly as it was a table for one and within 2 minutes of looking at the menu was asked if I was ready to order, which I thought was brilliant service. I ordered the fish and chips, choosing the larger portion, and my drink had arrived at the table within five minutes. The food was not far behind, which I was impressed with as the cafe itself was particular busy at this time. The batter on the fish was light and flavourfull. The fish itself was flaky and soft, although did not have much seasoning. The batter was not as crispy as it could have been over the time it took to finish the meal, but that is a small complaint. The skin on chips were tasty but, again, could have been a little more crispy. The peas were fresh and al dente giving them a nice texture and complimented the fish and chips well. The tartar sauce was a must and was tangy, smooth and full of flavour. You get a very large portion for the amount of money you spend, which did not detract from the quality of the food. Both my lunch and a drink came to a total of £17, which I thought was excellent value for money. I had a brilliant view as I ate and all staff were attentive and friendly. Would most definitely visit again the next time I get over to Arran!

We paid a visit to this cafe for lunch and sat outside. One of us ordered the nachos that came in a carry out container that obviously had been microwaved before serving. The cheese was completely stuck to the sides of the box and even when we tried to get it free from the side of the box with the cutlery provided it was that hard the cutlery snapped in half. We decided it was inedible & returned it to be told that was the way it was served. We asked for a sandwich instead & we were told no that was the way the Nachos were served outside. We left the inedible Nachos with the staff and will never be returning for anything to eat again. Exceptionally poor customer service.

I came for a coffee and was the only person at the takeout section. The “eat in” area was ~50% full. There was 2 members of staff just standing chatting. I was asked by 3 different staff members if I had been served and when I replied no they said okay we will be with you shortly. After another 5 minutes I heard one of the waitresses tell an older server that I hadn’t been served but she didn’t know how to work the till? So this woman comes over and asks if I’ve been served - still no! I then place my order with no apology for my wait - which could not be put down to any excuse of being busy because plenty of staff and some not doing anything. It then took 6 minutes for someone to decide to make my coffee. I took it and left. No apology made. No friendliness like “have a nice day” or “enjoy” - just a bitter faced middle aged woman handed me my coffee. Coffee was luke warm and I could drink it all in one. Will not be returning back to this place - would have better service at a petrol station coffee dispenser.

My family had lunch here and we all really, really enjoyed the food (salmon bagel, pulled pork panini and nachos, chicken bites with chips). Great portion sizes, good value, delicious milkshakes. The coleslaw looked homemade and was very tasty. Staff were really friendly and helpful and all the safety, hygiene, one way system measures were being practised due to Covid-19. There was a dog friendly area so we could eat in with ours. Nice fresh decor and vibe. There was a great selection of tasty looking cakes/sweets, the caramel shortcake was delicious. Next time we go to Arran we'll definitely go back to Little Rock.

Lovely lunch here before heading for our Alpaca trek last week. Not sure why it says closed,It was during lockdown and was refurbished. Looks lovely now and although we couldn’t eat in we sat and ate outside. Under an umbrella. Staff nice and accommodating, made my lo’s milkshake with coconut milk as she can’t do Cow’s milk. We had a southern fried chicken burger, a pulled pork wrap and scampi (which my little one loves , but they don’t do a child’s portion) so we just shared everything. Limited children’s menu like most places. (I do wish more restaurants would offer more variety for kids,?even a half portion of whatever is in the normal menu, as they aren’t all on a limited diet of chicken nuggets and like more variety.)All in all had a nice lunch, generous fillings in burgers and wraps, and would go back.

Popped in for some lunch. The cafe seemed busy but we only waited a few minutes on being seated. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Our food was delicious! Ideal for something quick and tasty. We liked it so much we returned the next day before heading onto the ferry. If your sitting at the window it’s also a lovely view.

Good food, soup was really tasty, staff are friendly, service is quick. Limited opening hours but worth visiting. Feels like a real community meeting place. Huge slices of cake and a warm and clean coffee shop. Worth visiting for lunch.

We were a bit disappointed with our visit here. Apart from one lovely waitress the staff weren’t very attentive. Two of the younger staff were messing about behind the bar rather than serving customers. The food wasn’t the quality you would expect for the price- We had a small steak and chips with no veg and an open seafood lasagne which was really bitter.

Kelly has the best cafe inside here, if you’re looking for food in Ardrossan then this is the place to go!

Great lunch spot, fab team of polite, cheerful and energetic staff - Megan and Annie in particular are superb. Menu seems more limited on some days than other for no apparent reason but everything produced is good quality, tasty and reasonable portion sizes. Always feel it could do with more tables than it has!
