delicious food, the papaya salad was nice and spicy, chicken basil stir-fry had lots of deep flavours, town dumplings were morish. hpwe will definitely order again.

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Edinburgh. I usually ordered pad thai but this time I tried chicken pineapple fried rice, which was absolutely delicious! There’re 11 ingredients that added lots of flavours, including cashew, pepper, pineapple, chicken, sweet corn, carrot, onion, fried onion, green beans, green peas, and raisin. I finished it all in one sitting and I was too full. For me it’s a portion for two.

The food is good. If you like spicy, ask for Thai chilies in fish sauce! It is mainly a take out place. There are a few stools and limited counter space if you want to eat in. No table service, but they do have beer. We order Basil Chicken and Basil Prawns, Chicken Satay, Egg/Plain rice.

Had a mega delicious Pad Thai, very authentically cooked with perfectly cooked shrimp. All the staff were very friendly!

The dishes were swimming in Grease. The salt and pepper tofu was lovely but the rest was inedible.

WOW!!! Just ordered from Papaya and I'm so glad I did. The dish was amazing. Depth of flavour was incredible even the coconut rice was incredible. Clearly this place cares about quality food and a lasting impression. The personality of the man who delivered it too was a breath of fresh air.

Amazing food. Eaten from here a few times now, and the food has been delicious every time, especially the chicken and pineapple fried rice. My husband was very impressed with the green curry. A little more expensive than some, but the portions are massive, so worth the extra.

Food arrived over 2 hours after I ordered it. The predicted delivery time was changed after it reported it as late initially but the food still hadn’t arrived by the second predicted delivery time. I tried calling the restaurant for an update several times as advised by JustEat but didn’t get an answer which was really frustrating. However, the food itself was very tasty and the portions were a good size for the price.

Late delivery and average food. The Bangkok rubs were nice butnot hot enough. The salt and chilli chips were ok but were soggy and just warm. The Khao Pad chicken wasnt good, it seemed to have some pre cooked chicken and what seemed like frozen veg in it, it also wasn't hot enough. The massaman sauce was decent but also not hot. Overall we were disappointed by the temperature, the quality and the delivery. We thought it would be amazing by the reviews but alas no. Won't be back.

Takeaway food is always delivered hot and fresh. We love the vegetable spring rolls which are crispy and full of flavour. We’ve become hooked on the salt & pepper chips with a tasty spice. I really enjoyed my chicken satay and shrimp wontons while my husband enjoyed the roast duck. We have ordered several times and are never disappointed. Would highly recommend and look forward to our next order!

UNTRUSTWORTHY AND UNRELIABLE. The previous order we had from here was lovely, although it took a long time to arrive. The most recent order was a disappointing disaster. After over an hour of waiting, the delivery time constantly changing on Uber eats, I called the restaurant. It took a lot of back and forth for them to recognise my order/ name and confirm they'd received it. Once they finally had located the order they told me it was in the line for the kitchen - I had put the order in nearly an hour and a half ago. I had them on loudspeaker as I had a sense something was dodgy. I asked several times if our order had been started (this was now gone 8pm) and he asked a woman in the kitchen who eventualy admitted, no. I then asked to cancel as it would be well beyond 9pm before we'd receive our food and this was not acceptable. They cancelled the order but I was still charged as they told Uber they had started cooking which was a lie. This order cost £40. I find them disorganised, dishonest and disappointing and will not be ordering from them again.

We went to dinner there because of the good opinions we read on Google, and of course they are all deserved. It is the only place that has managed to get a Pad Thai just like the one I ate in Thailand. No restaurant in any city has ever achieved anything like this. Their food is truly crazy. Authentic Pad Thai, they also separate the crushed peanuts and the spices so you can make it to your liking. A lot of! Everything freshly made. We ordered one with shrimp and another with beef, both spectacular. We also ordered some ribs in sauce that had incredible flavor, and the meat fell off by itself. It's more of a takeaway, but you can eat there at high tables with chairs. Edinburgh must be proud to have this restaurant. INCREDIBLE QUALITY. Attentive, helpful, pleasant staff... It took an hour for this delivery but I do understand it was mega busy on a Saturday....food was still delicious tho...just the curry sauce was a bit thicker than usual... would still order again.

Not only do they take 1hour40minutes when they’re only a 10 minute drive but my lamb skewers came Raw. Their food is great and it’s my second order but twice my orders came over 1hour40 minutes. They need to set their priorities straight.

Came for a quick dinner, they were happy to let us sit in even though it’s more of a takeaway place. Had the vegan pad Thai and drunk noodles, both were absolutely delicious and huge portions so we had leftovers. Very reasonable prices and nice staff.

Food was absolutely gorgeous. The flavours were unreal. Not had chips that well seasoned in a long time and the pad Thai was as good as I’ve had in Thailand! Very impressed. Delivered late but given traffic this was understandable. Restaurant called and apologised which was a lovely gesture.

Not only the best Thai food in the capital city, it’s definitely the best takeaway in town 10/10 every single time.

Best Thai food in the whole of Edinburgh!

We ordered the crispy chicken pad Thai, crispy pork belly and the dumplings through Uber eats. I must say that the food was amazing with HUGE servings! The service over the phone was great too. The only downside was the long wait for delivery. Having read the other reviews, I accept that we may have caught them on a particularly busy day. We leave Edinburgh tomorrow however we would definitely return to Papaya to eat again in the future. Maybe next time we will dine in :)

Pad Thai and matsuman curry was very good!

Great food once it finally arrived. Waited almost two hours for our takeaway despite it being advertised as 25-50 minutes wait on Uber eats. Called numerous times to chase and was reassured it would arrive soon but kept having to chase when it didn’t. It was very tasty Thai food when we got it but I’m not sure I’d order again given the long wait

The food was a wee bit late but the guy was really apologetic which was nice. And the food is amazing, second time ordering here and it will probably be our new go-to! Pad Thai and chicken massamam with coconut rice, all delicious.

Superb. Best food ordered-in in ages! Tofu Tom Yum, coconut rice, salt & pepper tofu. Was all hot, fresh, so tasty; didn’t need seasoning. Really lovely, friendly delivery person too, I appreciate that! Highly recommend.

We were staying nearby and didn’t feel like going out for dinner after a long day of sightseeing so we decided to get takeout. So glad we did! This was some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had! It took about 20 minutes, we just waited for our food. I had enough for breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend!

Is not even close to Thai Food not sure why would call it a Thai place to start with.Food is far from being spicy as a normal thai dish would be . I'm very dissapointed the green curry was pure green waterrrrrr.Fried Rice was nice and drunken noodles ok-ish probably thats why gave 2⭐️for. And prices double than what you usually pay for . 2xpeople we paid £55🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 Sorry but Never again!

Ordered twice this week because I loved it so much! The vegan options are amazing and I can’t wait to try them all. I especially recommend the pineapple fried rice, very generous portion & so delicious. I can’t get enough of the veggie spring rolls!!
