Having never been here before and after reading great reviews about Cote, I decided to book this for my friend and I.
On arrival, we were seated immediately at a table under the air conditioning. At first, we welcomed this as it was warm outside, but by the time we left, we were both very cold.
For us, the staff were very attentive and friendly and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere.
On the downside, we didn’t think the portion sizes were adequate for main courses and our dauphinoise potatoes didn’t stay warm for long. Dessert was a very disappointing size wise if I’m honest but it was delicious. We had a bottle of wine and a cocktail each. Don’t make the mistake we made and add service charge on as it has already been added on.
Over priced hotel in a lovely spot so it met our expectations. The room was small and expensive but comfortable enough. The welcome was very good from the woman on reception who was excellent throughout. The man on the bar and serving breakfast was pleasant but not warm. When I asked for a wine list at the bar he just listed the white wines sold by the glass - clearly women don’t drink red!! I asked for the wine list again. Considering the price of the hotel and the fact we had made our booking months in advance the unavailability of haggis as part of the promised Scottish breakfast was poor and the lack of genuine apology or offer to replace it with something else was also poor, as was the total lack of marmalade. Neither should be hard to source in Scotland! The hotel seems to rest entirely on location and it does have some gorgeous views but we stayed in lots of amazing places in Scotland with good views none as overpriced as this. And just beware the hotel is on a working slipway into the Loch with associated traffic and some views interrupted by a green mound and public toilets, none of which are shown on the careful photos on the website. Our stay was rewarded with a dinner of the first langoustine of the season. We’d chosen the hotel for its reputation for seafood and then the standard menu changed on us to something less interesting but the specials of langoustines or hake made up for that and our meals were good.

Didn't expect to be placed in the bar for dinner with my 15 year old especially with plenty of room in restaurant as well. Would've probably stayed for dessert but typical friday night bar packed and very loud. Disappointed. Food was nice though.

I originally posted this on Booking.com but they summarised my review.
Location was brilliant, so close to the station and town centre. The staff were brilliant. We spoke to a lovely lady in reception, I think her name was Emily. We were staying for a funeral and as check in is later in the day, we would have had nowhere to get changed and freshen up. After explaining this to reception, she got the room ready as a priority and even gave me a courtesy call to let me know it was ready. I would stay here again and I would recommend this place to my friends.
Una pizza terrible. Llegó piedra fría, empapada y sin sabor. No me gusta nada.
I have lived in Paisley for over twenty years and in that time have been told on numerous occasions, that Allan's Snack Bar is the best chippy / restaurant in Renfrewshire.
I never listened and instead used my local Renfrew Chippy as "one fish supper tastes the same as others "
On Friday , I found out I was so wrong . I drove up to Allan's and ordered a Single Special Fish and a Sausage Supper with a portion of Curry Sauce for £18.
The fish was cooked to perfection and there were three pieces all with a slice of lemon and the most delicious creamy tartar sauce which I believe is home made or if not it's not the same as the sachets available in most chippys....
The shop only opens till 8pm each night however I noticed that the restaurant attached was mobbed ... The decor is very 1930 /1940's Italian cafe and noticed a trifle being served which reminded me Russo's Cafe in Coatbridge back in the early 1970's .
The food was delicious , right down to the curry sauce and I would thoroughly recommend a visit , just don't wait twenty years to make the effort like me ....
My next visit will be to eat in the restaurant as I'm so sure I'm going to enjoy my meal.
Had a false fire alarm at 5am today that left us standing in the cold. Zero service recovery except for a sorry when we asked at the reception
Otherwise, room was tiny, but very clean room and comfortable beds. Not the most value for price, beds were the saving grace
No free ketchup unless you eat in which was unavailable. On the greasy end of fish and chips. The business should reconsider not allowing takeout customers to use the squeeze bottle of ketchup, which was available on eating tables, to squeeze onto the fries in my takeout box.

Have been to many restaurants, of various tastes of culinary delights, but this place is so wonderfully good, a place to cook your own food, at your own pace, and at the same time able to do it with your family! Thoroughly recommend to anyone who loves Korean food or is curious to try!!
Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Glasgow!!

Amazing Food & Exceptional Service!
I had such a wonderful dining experience at this family-run Turkish restaurant! The platter they served was absolutely delicious—packed with authentic flavors and generous portions. You can truly taste the love and care put into the food.
What stood out even more was the service. The waiter (who I believe is the owner’s son) was incredibly hardworking, attentive, and kind. It’s always heartwarming to see a family pouring their passion into their business. His dedication alone made the meal even more special, and I was happy to leave a tip for such great service.
If you’re looking for delicious Turkish cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place! I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
Average only. Expected more. Fish n chips were over cooked. Portions small. Veggie burger was probably the best option but considering the hype about the place? Give it a miss
