I asked for a full breakfast, I was handed a very disappointing Scottish breakfast not happy at all, you should get what you paid for, never coming back here again 😔
Would 100% recommend here for a meal, staff lovely & attentive, service 5 * & meal was outstanding, best bar meal we have had in a very long time, freshly cooked & homemade!!

The State hasn't served food since lockdown and the drop off in office workers coming in for lunch. Such a pity as the Xmas lunches were always such a treat.
But, it's still the best boozer in the area.
We chose to visit Fjara for breakfast straight off the ferry because of the good reviews so our expectations were high.
The outlook over the bay is lovely and the greeting from one of the waitresses was welcoming. While the Fjara breakfast was plentiful, the food was served warm rather than hot. The bacon was notably good but we found the meal overall, average.
We would rate our visit as 3.5 out of 5 but there isn't that option.
We had a group of 30 friends on our first day in Scotland, everyone jetlagged and hungry. We pulled our coach into Black Bear Beefeaters - with no advance notice - and fell on their mercy. They took us right in, seated us all, served us all within 20 minutes. Good pub fare, tasty, with friendly smiles and good banter! Also important, good portions at very affordable prices!
Also good location on the way from Edinburgh. Thank you Allison!

Beautiful hotel with lovely spacious rooms. I stayed for a wedding for 2nts in the main hotel. Staff couldn't be anymore helpful. Food amazing!! Lovely venue for a wedding or just an overnight stay.
Set menu which didn't disappoint. We've not been for a while but the quality and presentation of our meal was faultless. Beautifully chosen ingredients cooked to perfection. Palate cleanser bursting with flavour. 💜 We even managed the puddings which are not to be missed! Fantastic front of house ladies who could not be more helpful. A truly gorguss experience.
Little’s restaurant is located … in a former church. Hence the settings are quite extraordinary with a very high ceiling. We has the seafood terrine and smoked salmon, the breaded langoustines and the halibut fillet with its seafood fricassee. We shared the berry sable as dessert. And we were lucky enough to be served Kopparberg cider (the « Rolls » of the cider!).
Seafood and fish were fresh, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious,
Efficient service and fair prices for the quality proposed.
