This was our first trip to Scotland, first trip to Glasgow and first time staying at an Apex hotel (we traveled from Australia) and boy oh boy - were we wowed!! We parked in the car park next door and it was a short walk to the welcoming hotel reception. We were greeted by Damian and Eva and we felt immediately so welcomed . Now (full disclosure) we were upgraded to a suite (806), so our stay here was so amazing. The suite had a downstairs living area and an upstairs bedroom - with a complimentary mini bar!! The suite was so beautiful and topped off with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city. We can not recommend this hotel enough for friendly amazing staff, a beautiful suite/room, all day tea and coffee in the dining room and a gorgeous souvenir Apex duck. Thanks so much team :) PS - regarding parking, we contacted the hotel prior to our stay and they gave us a discount code to use at the nearby Q Park. This code is only applicable if entered online before parking.

I was surprised at how nice this hotel was for the price, very central, and great staff, recommend!

Our family of 4 adults stayed in 2 rooms in May, 2024. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. The train station is within walking distance which is one of the reasons we picked this hotel. Our rooms were on the second floor. The rooms are clean. The room and bathroom are small. There is only one chair since there is no space for another. So one of us has to sit on the bed. One of our rooms face the street so it is kind of noise. The other one not facing the street is quieter.

The hotel room was abit small. But all in all just a very basic hotel room. Clean and does the job. Not much more you can ask for 😍. I would stay again.

On the first night the noise from the bar in the alley underneath us went on until gone 3am. We were given ear plugs and told we could move rooms in the morning. We were moved to a room on the other side of the hotel the next day, all seemed well until the night when we realised the windows were not able to be closed as the handle had broken off. When we initially tried to close the windows the safety bar was not secured and my mum fell into the slanted window. There is a screen door which closes but the noise is not stopped at all as the door does not close flush and sealed. The street noise was very loud and as there was a storm too the wind was howling through the gaps. We were given more earplugs and told that maintenance had left for the day so the windows couldn't be closed. The front desk staff told us the only option is to switch rooms, and he would come right back to let us know where we can move to. 15 minutes later we got a call to tell us there were no rooms to move to, but they may have one in 45 mins if they have a no show. They said if they don't call back that's because they don't have anything, this was gone 10pm. Then they called again shortly after to say they had another room, which we were taken to and it turned out to be two rooms below the previous room, even closer to the bar, and the noise was even louder than the night before there. So we returned to our open window room and waited for another call, scheduled for midnight, to let us know if we could move or not. After waiting with our bags packed for an hour, we decided to unpack and try and get some sleep, we then got a call to say they could move us to the first floor but at the front of the hotel, by this time we were so exhausted we just stayed in the room and tried to make the best of it. All of this was asked to be put into an email to be passed to management which it was, over two weeks ago. I've had no response, not even a simple apology.

One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. First time in Glasgow and spent a lovely 4 nights here at the end of November for pre Christmas shopping and sightseeing. What a lovely city, everyone friendly, great sights and an abundance of excellent restaurants. The Apex staff were all very friendly, helpful and professional. They also gave us some good recommendations for nearby restaurants. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. I think we must have had an upgrade (Thanks :)) as we had a sofabed which I think is only in the family room. Also one of the best hotel showers we've come across. Great breakfast with plenty of choice and the area was well managed and relaxed (None of the jostling crowds we have sometimes encountered in other hotels) Location also good being close to the centre but also on the right side of town to walk to the west end museums etc. All in all a great hotel and would definitely stay again when in Glasgow. (Would love to return but need to go to the other Apex hotels to collect the trademark ducks :) )

Excellent value for money (same price range as a Premier Inn, but so much nicer), with very helpful, friendly staff, in the heart of Glasgow.

First visit to Apex hotel, knew we were in for a treat from the onset, Mathew on reception, saw my wife struggling outside and rushed to carry her luggage in. Parking next door arranged on line simple, check in simple. Staff all very pleasant but Mathew was the star, such a nice helpful person with a fantastic personality. Can’t thank you all enough, loved Glasgow look forward to coming back.

Staff was INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly right from the moment we walked through the front door, couldn't have asked for a better experience! Rooms were very nice, clean, and modern although a bit small compared to what we're typically used to in the US. Very walkable to restaurants, bars, and all the best sites in Glasgow. Was a short walk to Queen St Station where we caugh the ScotRail to Edinburgh.

Very friendly staff and very near hotel ..highly recommended.. ☺️..the location is very central and close to the railway station as well. they just don’t have a ramp for you to drag your luggage but it’s ok as it’s only few steps of stairs to reach the hotel entrance ..the staff were so kind to help us with our luggage.. they have a special elevator for those with wheelchairs so do not worry ☺️..will definitely stay here again next time ..

Friendly staff. Apex git it right again. Comfortable, clean and great location. I would have liked to see sleepers in the room if you are asking for something to Improve. See pictures and video for more details about the room.

I stayed for a long weekend at Apex City of Glasgow - I had the best experience—clean, comfortable, quiet rooms. The bed was so relaxed, and the bathroom was in pristine condition. The free coffee/tea/hot chocolate was such a treat! The service was awesome, too - especially Matthew, who was such a help and so friendly during my stay. I will be back!

We stayed at the Apex for 4 nights while in Glasgow in September. The hotel was very nice and is in an excellent location. But even more than that, the staff was exceptional. They provided great restaurant recommendations and helped us purchase train tickets. They also provided wonderful, friendly service. In particular, Oishin really went above and beyond. I would highly recommend the Apex Hotel!

City centre, great staff but for the price you would think they would at least put bin bags in the bins seems a bit like saving pennies and beds are solid.

Most relaxing hotel stay. Spacious and comfortable room, amazingly good shower, water stations for an easy refills, and a very good coffee available any time. We enjoyed the location too, close to dining and restaurants.

Small rooms. Bar small with no help. Had trouble with room AC Directions not provided for setting the room temp.

One if the best hotels I ever tried in Glasgow..the staff are totally friendly and kind .. the rooms are super clean and quiet.. the furniture is clean and unique.. super comfortable beds .. the location is great .. near to all required restaurants and nice places to visit.. try it I guarantee u will not regret.

The hotel seems a bit “older” and no longer in good shape. There was also very little storage space for boxes in the suite in relation to the size of the room. In the bathroom the toilet didn't work quite the way I wanted, but that was quickly remedied. The breakfast was sufficient, quite OK. There are big differences in service between reception, bar and breakfast service. The bar and reception were great, but you had to be active at breakfast to be able to order. Also clear the table. There wasn't enough activity here for my taste. I think the location is great. That was also one of the reasons for choosing the Apex - alongside the excellent Apex in London. There are parking spaces a few meters away in a parking garage.

Great staff, friendly and approachable. Clean and comfy rooms, fab location. And of course, there's the free duck 😁

Loved my stay convenient location and car park next door and with a good deal for staying at the hotel, we had room 307 looking over the main road and had no noise

Exceptional experience at Apex in Glasgow. The staff were very kind and went out of their way to make our honeymoon stay extra special--rose petals, swan towels, chocolates too! Our room was very nice and the view was stunning!

The staff were very accommodating when the air conditioner in our room was wonky.

Excellent hotel in Glasgow city centre. Room was very comfortable and the city view from the 7th floor was great. Walking distance to George Square and the other main points of interest in the area. Beds are extremely comfortable!

Friendly front of house staff and lovely presented room. Ideal for a stay in the city centre

The room we were staying was room 610. There's been some issue with the plumbing so that when we stepped on the wooden floor or the carpeted floor near the bathroom door, we could squeez water out from beneath the floor. You can't see it's wet but there's a hell lot of water beneath, just felt like stepping onto a puddle. We noticed this issue but didn't report to the front desk because it was mild initially and we could avoid the wet spot and decided not to bother the front desk. But in our last morning before check out, the wooden floor was so wet that I actually slipped but luckily I managed to hold on to something. So who ever experience similar issues for your own safety please don't try your luck, just report to the front desk and change your room. Eventually I reported this issue to the front desk because this is a safety hazard to their staffs and future guests. But apart from this the roon is cozy and spacious. alAnd really, despite this actual serious safety hazard, we still have an enjoyable stay :)

Excellent service and we appreciated the kindness shown to one in our group who was ill. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was continental with a selection of made-to-order hot items. Coffee and tea was available throughout the day in the lounge. The room had an electric kettle for tea. Each floor has a filtered water station to fill out portable water containers and the carafe from the room. The rooms were very quiet and we had no outside noise or heard anyone walking in the hallway due to thick carpeting. The location is perfect, lots of great choices for dinner near the hotel and it is a 5-10 minute walk to the center of town.

I LOVE this hotel and always book the duplex room. It's so cool! Skyline views are amazing The only issue was neighbour and the tv volume - not the hotels fault, obviously. Always stay in the Apex in Edinburgh as well. I highly recommend it. Greetings as you arrive are cheery and friendly. Anything you need is just a call away. The beds are SO comfortable, and the sheets are fabulous I need these sheets!!

For a 4 star hotel it was without the basic like smart tv or sky etc but it's complementary bar which comes free with the price is "grand"

Went to stay one night here whilst on holiday, can I say how excellent the staff were with me and my partner. Sooo polite! - We had been upgraded to a deluxe suite for free and wow! Was it stunning. It really topped off our holiday experience, plus breakfast the following morning was absolutely scrumptious. For sure will be staying again, I cannot say how amazing our stay here was

Great hotel, lovely staff with fast and effortless check-in… I highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast is great, you can choose cook breakfasts from the menu, along with a buffet where you’ll find a full continental breakfast spread with coffee, juices etc.

Very friendly staff. Rooms are nice and have all you need. Like in many other hotels I find it unnecessary to have those display pillows and bedspread. Unhygienic. The bathroom had a light sewage smell coming from somewhere and cold tap water in the sink was very weak. Shower was ok.

Hotel location is fantastic and the room are stunning but be prepared for the night time noise, I thought it was an overreaction but it’s true, as the couple next door defo had the time of her life from what we could hear and feel

BEST hotel in Glasgow. They let me stay in the lounge and had a great expresso while I waited for my room (I arrived at 7am and check in was at 3). I went to Edinburg for the day and on the way back I was trying to find a coffee shop open to charge my phone but everything I saw were bars and they let me be here even though I was not going to stay with them another night. Excellent service and the rooms are really nice to be honest.

We arrived here to be greeted by a young man called Oisin. He was very helpful in assisting us checking in and out great customer service. We booked the duplex suite, the room was very nice really enjoyed the layout and the views are exceptional. The room was very modern and had everything we needed with extra amenities. The only downfall for this room was cleanliness and hygiene, there was lots of dust present at windows and light shades next to bed. We had a really good stay here.

Great location in the city centre only a few minutes walk from Glasgow Central. Large spacious rooms which are well equipped. Breakfast is good and substantial with a choice of cooked or continental. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate area. Recommended
