Hotel Indigo Dundee, an IHG Hotel in Dundee City

Perfect spot to stay in Dundee, close to the main attractions, parking on-site for a small overnight fee. I loved the details in the hotel that tied it to the building’s history, but it’s still a very modern hotel. The bar menu is great for dinner in the evening, and breakfast offers a nice selection at the buffet too.

Poor service from hotel & reception staff. We were unable to travel to the hotel due to red weather warning. When we advised the hotel & booking.com neither gave us the option of a refund which I understand ran out the day before at 4pm however given the circumstances I would have expected some assistance and empathy. The hotel offered a change of date but only if we told them that day and unfortunately we didn’t have another date that we could stay yet therefore over £120 was wasted even with police, met office and government advising not to travel. The reception team, although friendly, were very unhelpful and did not take into consideration the red weather warning and threat to life to travel. As a business traveller and someone who stays and hosts conferences a lot this was an experience that has meant that Hotel Indigo had lost a lot of business from a large corporate account that we hold with IHG and instead we will be using the Apex moving forward. I cannot recommend this hotel due to their lack of empathy and as such will be contacting IHG to advise of this and advise my events team to move our business relationship to the Apex where they have always been accommodating to last minute requests.

First time visiting this hotel . Great hotel very spacious bathrooms . Speakers in bathrooms as well . Had a great stay and a great night out in dundee . . Would recommended this hotel . And definitely would go back and stay . 😃

I had an incredible stay at Hotel Indigo Dundee! This hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a welcoming ambiance and a team of exceptionally attentive staff who went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable. The restaurant facilities are top-notch, with a menu full of local flavors, and the bar is fully stocked with a fantastic selection of local whiskey and beers, which truly enhances the experience. The restaurant staff are attentive and impressively knowledgeable about local delicacies and whiskey, offering great recommendations that added a special touch to my stay. I stayed in one of the premium rooms, specifically a junior suite, and it was well worth it. The room was spacious, with an amazing view during the day, and the bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower, which was a lovely touch of luxury. If you’re planning a trip to Dundee, I would definitely recommend staying here!

Great location, not too far from the centre, buses out the back of the hotel. Reasonably priced lovely comfortable rooms and the staff were wonderful, very helpful and attentive to customers needs. Nice buffet breakfast set us up for the day.

We have stayed here quite a few times in both the suites and the hotel. The breakfast is always brilliant and the staff are so lovely. Very good rooms and comfortable beds. Really enjoy staying here.

Was late with my check in ,had done a 12hr shift .but all the the staff from reception, dinning, chefs, went out of there way to make sure I had a hot meal and any thing else they could help with . So a massive thank you to you all .Nice room ,beautiful breakfast so a big thumbs up from me .Bob.

Over all just okay, pillows are horrible. Only hangers are in the wardrobe, no place to hang your jacket on. It does have a fridge and a good power shower. Staff are amazing and helpful, greeting you every time in and out.

Rooms are very dark and minimal furniture. No soft surfaces except the bed. Service was fine

Needs more parking. Although difficult to see how they could. Short stay isn’t too far away.

Cozy, well organised, varied dinner.

Located in a former factory, this hotel combines old and modern. Spacious room, old briquettes on the ceiling, very comfortable bedding. Breakfast in the form of an all-you-can-eat buffet where nothing is missing. The only downside is the price of parking which is charged per day even if you only spend one night there: £13……and which in no way guarantees you a free space!!

A nice, clean, welcoming hotel. Great location, close to the city centre. A beautiful example of reuse of an old jute processing factory. Advised.

A fantastic stay. The rooms were very immaculate and everything was fitted out brilliantly. Yuliana at reception was great with our son and really went the extra mile. She is a credit to the hotel

Such a lovely spacious hotel. Very well presented and the staff were incredibly helpful. Parking is a bit of a challenge but some things can't be helped.

I've only stayed once but had a lovely stay. The staff were lovely and professional. I was upgraded to a suite and it was beautiful, felt very luxurious. The room had character which is nice in a chain hotel. The bathroom was lovely with smart facilities and underfloor heating which was much appreciated. The snacks in the room were great too! Breakfast was tasty with a lot of choice.

This was exception deal l got room, service food and decor couldn't have asked for more

One of my favourite hotels when working away from home in the Dundee area. The rooms are amazing and new bar that has opened is stunning. Great hotel for a stay over if it’s for work or play, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room service great staff great only down fall this hotel as got is parking For disable folk they have 4 bays great BUT 2 vans in the bays and 2 cara NOT a blue badge on any come on hotel great place to stay but get those bays fixed on BLUE BADGE HOLDERS SHOULD BE THERE

Really nice hotel well situated staff friendly

On checkin they demanded I pre authorise my personal credit card although there was a business card on file with an additional dinner allowance. I refused. I went for dinner and charged to my room. The staff called my mobile phone at 10.30pm while I was in bed telling me it must be paid now, how ridiculous! I’ve stayed at many indigo hotels before including this one and I’ve never been spoken to by any other IHG hotel in this way before, I’m a Diamond Elite member and always settle my bill on departure of a hotel, I’ve never had an issue. On another matter, the stains on the wall by the toilet are not acceptable for a 4 star hotel this area should be tiled so you can maintain hygiene standards. This was always my ‘go to’ hotel in Dundee, though I will not stay here again.

Lovely hotel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite that was really cosy. The bathroom was big and relaxing. We ate in the hotel for dinner and enjoyed the food, although we didn’t bother with breakfast. At the time we visited, outside the front of the hotel was being renovated. This meant we parked in the local council car park down the street. This cost a few pounds on the mobile app and seemed safe with a traffic warden there first thing.

Loved our overnight with our daughter. Staff were welcoming and had lots of laughs and banter during dinner which was lovely, breakfast was amazing with so much choice. The room was perfect and so many little touches that made it so special and original. Loved the original brickwork ceilings 🤩 We will definitely be back for another visit. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you 😘

Nice rooms, pleasant staff, good breakfast. Love the pointers in the rooms and all over the hotel to Dundee's past..

Second time staying in. Very rude front desk staff and ‘manager’ who lack the ability to solve issues adequately or professionalism. Knew nothing about their hotel or the terms and conditions. Was asked to provide a 50-pound deposit by front desk staff Yuliana with a physical card which I did not bring with me. While I made it very clear that I would not have any expenses in-room she insisted that she would have to do this for me to get the keys. Unheard of. I stayed with hundreds of IHG properties and none has Refused my request for their GM’s contact method. Terrible interpersonal skills training. ‘Manager’ called me ‘rude’ and no proper apology or compensation was given let alone mentioned. Recorded those convos. Never knew those words could come out of someone working in this industry. Would’ve called the police against the hotel. Was given a damp second floor room while I requested higher floor in-app. Avoid at all costs.
