No.10 Bar and Restaurant in Aberdeen City

Had a lovely lunch seated in the bar. Food was freshly cooked: Haddock and chips; Duck and sweet potato fries. Portions were sizeable and filling. Washed down with a glass of white and rose wine. Service was good. Price fair.

Excellent haggis bon bons followed by beer battered haddock. Great attentive waiting staff.

We had a Sunday lunch roast and it was absolutely delicious and then a samosa apple pudding again so delicious

One of the best places to go for a Sunday lunch in Aberdeen. Their Sunday roasting is amazing! The number 10 is located near the City Center, easy access as it is a central location and also has plenty of parking spaces around it. It has a gastro pub vibe, the service is very good, a good ambience to go in different occasions. It is good to go with friends or family, but also works for a couple or business. I definitely recommend a try.

My party had a table booked for my friends birthday. Unfortunately when we turned up staff could not find our booking and we had to leave. After searching for and finding our booking confirmation email we returned and staff were able to locate our booking. We all had the sunday roast which was delicious & dietary requirements were catered for. We were given our first round of drinks and our side dishes on the house which was appreciated. Staff were very apologetic about the mix up and we received excellent service. The meal and atmosphere were very enjoyable and it was a great afternnon.

I had the butternut squash gnocchi, which was incredible. Cool place, easy (paid) street parking.

This basement bar, opposite a hospital was in fabulous surroundings. Lovely lawns and trees surround the beautiful terrace housing the bar. Situated on a bus route, the bar is located aprox. 15 minutes walk west of Union Street. Everyone in the bar was smartly dressed, I got the impression that the clientele were office workers having a drink on a Friday early evening at the end of the working week. More upmarket than many Aberdeen bars, but enjoyable and welcoming all the same!! 👍

Terrifying experience, I'll tell you the bar isn't bad, but let's talk about the restaurant: the staff is extremely young and so incompetent that when we ordered they forgot to warn us twice that two of the 4 main dishes were missing... I asked to speak to a manager but the waitress herself pretended nothing had happened, in all of this they still brought me an appetizer even after I told them that we would be leaving given that out of four dishes they only had two, coincidentally those who had chosen us. When I asked for the bill they even charged me for the starter even though I hadn't consumed it. I think it's a place to avoid unless you want to drink at the counter like a banal pub.

We were here on a Friday night in August for dinner. We had a great meal here. The service was great - probably the best we have had in a long time. Attentive but not at the table every two mins. Ideal. We really enjoyed the food. The pasta special was very, very nice. I really enjoyed the Beef Rib - very tender and tasty. Next time we are in Aberdeen will be back.

Myself and 3 friend’s Di ed here on Tuesday 28th May. We had y booked but despite it being very busy they found a table for us. The Shetland scallops were amazing and the hake and halibut was so fresh and delicious. We l said it’s one of the best meals we have had. Service was great with lovely interaction from staff.

This is a really lovely place to eat. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Stopped in for lunch when passing through on holiday. Husband and I both had a sandwich. He had ham and cheese, very delicious meat, cheese, and bread. He had fries with his. I had the chicken with sweat spicy sauce, bread was very good. I had the sweet potato and rosemary soup, very delicious!

Can't go wrong with No 10. Menu has improved since my last visit.

A great Sunday lunch yesterday!

Visited with 2 friends, for lunch, Sept.2020. As the virus has restricted the hospitality business, they have a vast outside marquee and also an outside area with tables directly across from the existing establishment. We gave our names and phone nos to our host, who told us of do's and dont's while there. Food was excellent, good menu, very enjoyable couple of hours. Felt safe and comfortable, and would well recommend a visit, top marks. 4 years on...my wife's birthday...all local family there...still great food, excellent staff, good to see still busy as ever....prices I would say are as competitive with other top venues

04/11/2021 - Shared a lovely meal with my partner here, to celebrate her birthday—worth every penny. It was a very nice experience, in a cozy environment, with a quiet atmosphere and very attentive staff. Very clean bathrooms, with lovely smelling soap and moisturiser—it's easy to get lost in the restroom area though. 19/01/2024 - Came again, this time for my birthday, and my partner treated me to a meal. She had the roast loin of venison, and I had the prosciutto wrapped monkfish. We very much enjoyed our meals. The experience, despite the chaotic, weekend environment, was once again extremely pleasant.

Not just the best in Aberdeen, but probably the best I’ve ever had , good service , nice decor , lovely experience, well worth a visit, book in advance .

A really lovely place for dinner. Starters and steak were delicious. Unfortunately haddock was not so good. The crust was too thick and the deep fried taste overtook the fish inside. Otherwise, the rest of the food was perfect.

A slightly adjusted Carvery meal gave me a beautiful vegetarian Sunday lunch. Nothing was too much troube, waiting staff were delightful. Thank you. You could do with one specific veggie main item on your carvery menu - then it would be perfect, and a little more 21st century.

Went for Sunday Roast - food was good but service was extremely slow. Waiting staff seemed very slow and unresponsive sadly. 2 hours for one course.

Here for a Christmas night out. Food was amazing.

Arrived at 4.15 waitress took our drinks order received them at 4.25 She took our food orders at 4.30 then wasn't seen again until 5.25 and we questioned what the wait was she didn't say anything then im assuming the restaurant manager came across and we asked again we had waited a long time for our food again there was no explanation.We eventually got our meal an hour after ordering and if we did want a pudding we wouldn't have had time as we were only allowed 2hours.When the manager came with the bill again we mentioned the wait and again there was no apology and she obviously wasn't impressed there was no tip.Overall food was good (not worthy of an hour wait) Service shocking and will 100% not be back

What a hidden gem. Lovely atmosphere and very professional staff. Food was of high quality. Vegan choice was limited but excellent. Definitely recommend this place for a romantic dinner or a larger party.

Had a lunch in the restaurant, served by young guy (it said Mika on the receipt so not sure if that’s his name), but he was very pleasant and just what you would expect a waiter to be. So 5 stars to him and hopefully this will be recognised by management. Starters: scallops with black pudding on pea puree was delicious. The mushroom chestnut pate with port and Stilton toasts were also divine but sadly the pate to toast ratio was off. It would have been ideal with another 3 toasts as they are very small and the pate needs to be eaten on it as it’s extremely rich. Mains: prosciutto wrapped monkfish - was very good however the mash it came with was majorly over salted and inedible. The chorizo bean cassoulet paired lovely with the monkfish, but only small two pieces, an extra piece would have made for a better meal. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and the garlic butter is not for the faint hearted! The seating is very comfortable but the tables are quite close to each other, so if you are seated beside someone who likes to talk loudly and incessantly- even with a mouthful - as we were, then you might not want to stay too long and to that end we left earlier than we had liked to enjoy a coffee elsewhere. All in all a nice meal, coming in at £83 for 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 dessert wines. It’s a nice atmosphere if you’re 50+ as looking around at all the tables we were by far the youngest in the room. We Would return in future (but not hurriedly) and try something different from the menu.

Cosy basement bar and restaurant in central Aberdeen. Tried the Sunday Roast with a few extras sides (Mac n cheese, pigs in blankets). Food was very tasty but as the restaurant was busy it was a wee but slow in coming. Efficient staff. Price was around 110 GBP for five, including drinks.

Starter and desert were okay, but spoiled by a seriously undersalted Moussaka. The other diners in my party seemed to enjoy their meals though.

We had a wonderful dinner at No. 10. Would definitely go back again.

Good food, service slightly slow and I felt that I was not noticeable with how busy it was, so getting the attention of staff was bit of an issue, getting the bill after required some repetition. But the atmosphere made it tolerable.

The vineson was great. The potato side was dry. Over all, delicious but pricy.

For my 60th birthday which was last Thursday, I looked into various restaurants around Aberdeen for a venue for a work colleagues get together for a celebration to mark my birthday, and plumped for Bar Number 10, as they could accommodate my anticipated number of guests which ended up being 24. To say I chose well is an understatement. My first point of contact way back in mid May, was Barbara and although we never actually met face to face, via email she corresponded with me to ensure everything went according to plan. The food and the service was absolutely second to none. The Autumn set menu was decided at the start of September and there was ample choice for all of the guests tastes. My choice of starter was the Haggis Bon Bons....Delicious. My main choice was the Steak, which was cooked to perfection. A lovely, succulent steak and the trimmings, very well presented. Sweet choice for me was the Apple and cherry crumble. A large, very tasty serving. Compliments to the chef on all the courses. All the staff at Bar 10 are a credit to the establishment and very accommodating in making sure everything goes well. I would certainly recommend, that if anyone is thinking of a large party number to dine at Bar 10, to perhaps get a pre order put together and emailed to Bar 10. I didn't put in a pre order, and we were really tight on time for releasing our tables for 5pm for the evening diners. This was a lot of food to serve for the waiters and waitresses, but for them, it would've been much easier if I had given them a heads up what my guests would choose on the day. I would have no hesitation in recommending Bar 10 for a night out for either a relaxing drink or a 3 course sit down meal. Keep up the fantastic work folks. I will certainly return soon.

I’ve been to No.10 a number of times now and sadly it’s very inconsistent in the quality of its food and service. Last year I visited and the service was so bad that I emailed the restaurant with feedback, they offered an apology and a voucher so I was happy to return again to give them another chance. The second visit earlier this year was great. The food was good, the staff were attentive and I was willing to write off the first experience as a bad day for their team. But last week I returned again with a group of friends and the food was disappointing for most of our group. 3 of our table had pork, which was horrible. It was extremely dry, almost grey it was so overcooked, and all round unappetising. The soup was also horrible. They also really didn’t have enough staff for how busy it was. It’s disappointing as it’s a nice environment but it’s expensive for food - which would be okay if the food and service were consistently good but unfortunately that’s not been my experience and I wouldn’t eat here again.

Glamorous bar restaurant, with jazz feel. I didn't eat, but I am a sucker for live piano. Not a drinker, bit their selection was excellent and the white russian they made me was perfect.

My friend and I were up for the Busted concert on Tuesday so went here for dinner on Monday night. Haggis bon bon's for starters and they were delicious. We both had steaks which were lovely. Great food and service. Loved our cocktails too

Lovely food with reasonable price. It can be really busy during lunch time and the level of noise could be unbearable for some. Understandably it's basement.

Walked in at 1pm on Sunday for our first visit. They found us a table within the bar which is very nice, Staff were attentive and pleasant and the food was excellent We'll be back for sure

We managed to book on the day and when we arrived on a Monday observed that only a few tables weren't taken. The food was delicious, well priced and music not too loud, but the toilets smelled of cigarette smoke. And when it came to the end of the meal we couldn't find anyone to bring a payment machine so had to go to the entrance stand to pay.

Bit disappointed as was so looking forward to the Sunday roast having been before but small portion this time and just not the same. Coffee was lukewarm but perhaps I should have said I wanted my latte hot. I have left 4 stars as it was still tasty however compared to some other customers Sunday roast I felt mine was small lol - I mean goodness it was enough really as we do eat too much but having had a roast before there it sadly was not the same.

Go for the sunday roast…! Burgers could be better.

We enjoyed a brilliant meal and am definitely planning on returning! Had the BBQ brisket bites to start, sea trout and risotto main and chocolate fudge cake dessert, all of which were delicious. The only minor thing I wasn't a fan of was the pistachio ice cream, having tried it elsewhere I am usually a fan but not sure on this one. Still, the fudge cake was spot on and didn't last long!

Food was delicious and the waiter we eventually had was lovely and accommodating. The initial person we met was a little off, and proceed to ignore us for quite some time. A lady arrived after us was seated by this particular waitress, served drinks etc all while we waited to be served. Not a particularly great first impression unfortunately. Over all the venue was clean and well presented, the food was delicious and arrived in good time once our order was taken. There was a slight mix up with one of the beverages but the waiter informed us of the error and offered and sincere apology and offered a replacement.

Excellent food! Excellent service with attentive waiter. We had a very good meal. Everything we ordered was great,: Starters: prawn (top recommendation), scallop, garlic bread. Mains: Sunday beef roast (top recommendation), lamb cutlets, ribeye. Dessert: Chocolate fudge cake and pistachio ice cream was excellent. Highly recommended restaurant.

Went for lunch as part of a training course provided, for soup and sandwiches. Was a chaotic experience, with the first two times no forks provided, needed for sides. The staff were for the most part friendly and helpful once asked. Though were unable to name soup accurately at times. Atmosphere is mixed, a fairly dark environment. They did cater for gluten free individual.

Excellent food and great atmosphere, service was efficient but could have been more friendly

Friendly efficient service, both at the bar and at the table, and the food tasted great. The music wasn’t too loud and it was obviously liked by the locals as a place to meet up and swap gossip. I had the lamb| excellent, and a side salad which had a subtle but tasty dressing. It’s situated in a grand looking area that felt very safe.
