Eda Restaurant in Glasgow City

One of my favourite restaurants in Glasgow, food is fantastic every time, the staff are lovely & the restaurant itself is pretty. Been here many times. Id highly recommend the Muska Boregi, falafels & any of the lamb dishes. They do a lunch menu Monday-Friday for great prices as well as some good vegetarian options. Big thank you to the staff at Eda's for always being amazing :)

Went via voucher, mixed grill plus beer, food and beer were great , cost was good because of voucher if I had paid full ammount would have expected a little more. Staff friendly and helpful.

As a football fan, I visit to Glasgow. Before the match, I enjoyed drinking raki and trying the flavors of the my own culture, which made me very happy. Although it was very crowded on the game day, the food arrived fresh and hot in 15-20 minutes. The flavors were definitely good according to Scottish conditions. The place had just been taken over from the previous owners and the quality was definitely very good. Despite the crowd, the open kitchen was very clean and the food was an ideal size for the price. The prices were normal but not cheap, in the end, the mixed kebab and raki were very enjoyable.

Ordered a grill plate for 2 people. The plate only had an Adana and some meat, which was actually a plate for one person. Came with an empty stomach and left with an empty stomach. The worst thing is that €80/£66 was paid. Fool.

I recently visited and tried the Surf n Tough and the Wrap. Both dishes were good overall, with well-seasoned flavors and a nice presentation. However, I’ve had better ones elsewhere. The restaurant had a great ambiance, and the service was friendly, making it a pleasant dining experience. While the food was enjoyable, it didn’t completely stand out. Still, it's a decent spot to try Turkish cuisine!

Cihan nos dio la bienvenida en la puerta, el restaurante estaba ocupado con los comensales temprano en el día, que era un buen indicador de que Wda es popular Pedimos el Cold Mix Meze que venía con 6 platos, y 2 cestas de pan fresco que era increíble. Tuve un vino tinto turco Cankya encantador que era muy suave y acompañó bien las albóndigas Kofte. El agua dulce con una rodaja de limón fue un buen toque también. Rechazé un dulce ya que estábamos llenos hasta el borde, muy buena relación calidad-precio, buen restaurante limpio con un ambiente agradable. Volveré, seguro.

I can't recommend Eda Restaurant in Glasgow enough! From start to finish, our experience was absolutely perfect. Five stars across the board! The food was incredible. Each dish was bursting with authentic Turkish flavours, clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We tried a selection of dishes to start, followed by the mixed grill and a traditional Turkish pide. Everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Portion sizes were generous too! Must need to try the kunafa with latte, it is the best! The service was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. They were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations. They made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The atmosphere was also wonderful. My family and I have been here so many times. Having said that, there's no reason for me to tell you why. Great respectful atmosphere, great service, not bad for parking but above all, the food is amazing...everytime! Oh and the bread, oh my, you've never had bread like this in your life!

Took some clients here for dinner. Food was absolutely outstanding. The service was impeccable. The place has a real, genuine ambiance. Everyone is friendly. The waiter identifies himself by name and assures you he will look after you the whole evening. Well, they certainly did. The breads and selection of dips and humous is a must. Followed by some Reiki. They have authentic Turkish beer by the bottle. The moment of glory was the giant, meter long mixed grill with vegetables and various rice. I've never tasted better. It is the closest thing to actually being in Turkey itself. The meat was tender, fresh and flavoursome. The rice was so good too. Sweet Baclava to finish. I actually can't stop thinking about how good this was. My bill came to £123. I had absolutely no problem handing over that cash and i duly tipped them. I cannot wait to go back here. 10/10. Applause.

My family and I were visiting Glasgow, and we loved Eda Turkish Restaurant so much we ended up eating there three nights in a row! Our first visit was hilarious—we had just come from McCuil's Pub down the street and weren’t expecting much, but we were absolutely flabbergasted by the quality and taste of the food. We were instantly hooked! The staff made the experience even better—they were so much fun, and we definitely made friends during our visits. The cooks are amazing, and the service was fantastic. And the drinks? Incredible. You must try the ‘Party in Your Mouth,’ a cocktail with gin and raki. Have the manager make it for you—it’s absolutely to die for. As for the food, don’t miss the lamb ribs. Hands down the best in the world! Eda Turkish Restaurant gave us such an amazing time, and it’s a place we’ll never forget. Highly recommend!

If you are looking value for money this is the place. The food is absolutely beautiful especially if you are a meat lover this is the place for you. Definitely come hungry as the portions are huge. They have efes beer which is the most refreshing beer I've ever had definitely recommend.

Husband and I had lamb babaganoush, garlic king prawns and chicken shish kebab and a salad. Everything was so delicious and served beautifully. Pretty well our favourite restaurant in Glasgow, sat by the window and watching the buzz of Trongate. Food leaves you happy, healthy and is good value. The plates of food are very big - it is hard not to over order as it is all so lovely.

We try and visit Ed’s every time we are in Glasgow, you are given the warmest welcome and the food is of the highest quality, it is so consistently good, I’m working my way through the menu! We had another excellent meal last night, service by Cihen was attentive and friendly. One of the chefs stopped by our table with a dessert, it was so lovely. It won’t be long until we are back again.

Amazing delicious food,cheap and large portions

We had booked a table for 8 but there were only 5 of us. The restaurant was very quiet. The service was quite bad, we had to call the waiter’s attention for every single thing and he didn’t seem to know the menu well. We asked for the food to come out as soon as it’s ready as we were in a rush but 40minutes after ordering we were still waiting for mains. The waiter did not check to make sure everything is ok with the food and he did not clear the starters even though we had finished them long before the mains arrived The food was also lacking flavour. We have been before and enjoyed it but today was disastrous on all sides

I am really sorry to write that but I won’t go anymore at this restaurant. The food and everything is very good but the prices now are really high. They charge 8/9£ for a sauce tzaziki and the mix grill for two persons it is 57£ now . Before was 37 roughly. It was my favourite restaurant but the prices are ridiculous.

This has to be my favourite restaurant in Glasgow as I totally love the food, the ambience and the wonderful service from friendly staff. When I take friends the staff are always happy to explain what everything consists of. I must warn you though that you NEVER leave feeling hungry.

Fantastic! Had a meal here recently to celebrate my birthday with a friend. Staff were very attentive but not intrusive. We were very well looked after & were given additional starters & dessert for free which was very kind & much appreciated. The mixed meze is a great selection & really tasty. Stopped in for lunch on a day trip to Glasgow and our group was so impressed by the food and customer service. The starter bread and assorted dips were delicious. We ordered the Tavuk Ali Nazik, Tavuk Baba Ghanoush, and Eda Kofte Güveç, all of which were exceptional and the portions were massive. We were given a complimentary cheesecake for dessert and my cousin commented that it was the best cheesecake she's ever had. The staff was lovely and this was a terrific experience all around, would highly recommend!

Very disappointing experience. After waiting over an hour literally AN HOUR for my food, and I was with my baby and very stressful to wait that long with a baby and no one is responding to you and act like they don't see you when you call them. After I asked about my order, but received no apologies or updates on the wait time. When I asked one more time one of the waitstaff for can you tell me at least how long it will take, I was met with a very very VERY rude response. Not only did he raise his voice at me, but his body language was also overly aggressive. It was incredibly disappointing to witness such a lack of responsibility and respect for customers. Instead of addressing the issue with a simple apology or an explanation, the staff's behavior was both unprofessional and disrespectful.I left the table. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are plenty of dining options out there that prioritize customer service and treat patrons with the respect they deserve.

This was an experience that everyone should try. The service was excellent. Everyone was very helpful and prompt. The bread was amazing and the food came out quickly. Everything tasted amazing, and the portions were large. When dinner was fine, we had no room for dessert, but that didn't stop the staff from bringing us a plate of dessert that was beyond delicious. The baklava was the best I have ever had, and the cheesecake had marshmallow and pistachios on top. I have never had marshmallow that could stand on its own, but this marshmallow could be a dessert by itself. It was absolutely amazing. We brought our leftovers home and they reheated well and still tasted great. If you are in Glasgow, you definitely need to have dinner here!

We went with a group of 5 with two more kids. We found a comfortable sit for our kids and ample space for our prams. The service was so satisfying and generous. We shared a large mixed grill and mix of starters. It was more than enough for all of us and we even took some home. They kept bringing loaves of fresh bread one after another and we got a complementary tea and baklava. The chef is friendly and engaging. We loved everything. The flavors were authentic, the mix grill has chicken, lamb, beef and kabab. I would recommend this place in groups to enjoy the variety of tastes. If you love Turkish food I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Freshly pressed orange juice is a delight as well. Thank you to all the team you treated us well and your outstanding service is much appreciated.

I am very disappointed! This place used to be my favourite place to come to. The food quality has changed alot and it's not worth the money. The guy at the bar was very rude and racist. I only asked him a question about the prices and he replied very rudely, therefore I will not be visiting this place again!

It's very pricey and not worth the money.

I recently visited Eda with my wife, both of us dressed in our traditional attire. Initially, we were given a table, but as soon as we were about to place our order, the waiter abruptly asked us to move to another table, claiming it was an order from the manager. He spoke to us rudely, asked us to get up after we had already settled, and directed us to a table in a poor location, far from other diners, as if he didn’t want anyone to see us in the restaurant. This experience felt deeply discriminatory and made us uncomfortable. We decided to leave immediately because this place is not worth a single penny. I strongly advise others to avoid this establishment. Such blatant racism has no place in the service industry.

Después de haber esperado lo que pensé que era bastante tiempo, ya que supongo que el restaurante estaba super ocupado un sábado por la noche. Me llevaron a una mesa y me preguntaron qué quería pedir. A primera vista, pensé que los precios de los alimentos eran altos, pero cuando vi la porción, entendí por qué. El pan caliente era delicioso y las salsas proporcionadas eran sabrosas. El plato principal de cordero se cocinó bien y la salsa quitó la sequedad. Al salir el gerente hizo una nota de agradecimiento y adiós que me pareció un gesto muy raro y amistoso.

I loved the restaurant, it manages to take us in a “journey” and makes me remember the traditional flavors and smells of Turkish food. I hadn't eaten Turkish food in a while, I simply loved it, the freshness of the products, the tea, the food was a fantastic.

This place came like a cure when we were missing Turkish cuisine on the 15th day of our trip. The kitchen team and waiters are clean and friendly. The treats that come with the meal are already perfect!!! Offering hot rice pudding while you still have to pay the bill 🥰🥰🥰

Vine aquí para un almuerzo de aniversario y no fue decepcionado. La comida era deliciosa. La meza y el pan estaban tan sabrosos que podría haber comido eso, mi compañero tenía el filete que era masivo junto con todos los lados, que apenas podía terminarlo! Mi plato de cordero estaba caliente y tan sabroso. Nos dieron un contralavado de cortesía que si no estuviera tan lleno habría disfrutado inmensamente. El servicio fue impecable. Volverá Defo. An absolute gem. Food is amazing We couldn't decide what to have from the very extensive and lovely menu so opted for the mixed plate for 2. What a choice Everything cooked superbly. We finished off with a couple of Turkish coffees and the best Baklava I've had. Folks if you're in the Merchant quarter of Glssgow then please give this place a visit you will not be disappointed

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Each time I go, the staff are welcoming the place, which is kept very clean, including the toilets, and the food is so delicious. For the most part I've taken the food home as the amount you get for your money is LEGENDARY! Lamb that melts in your mouth. Salads that tickle your taste buds and sauces so good they could easily be a great snack with the complementary bread you get. WOW! This place is good. Don't worry about parking too as there is plenty of free parking near by.

Went here before an LCD Soundsystem gig at Barrowlands. The nine cold mezze selection was more than enough for two of us - and was delicious as well!

A superb charcoal grill restaurant that excelled in their marinades. One of the very best examples of Turkish cuisine not just in Scotland but in the whole UK. Excellent for large groups and celebrations. No decision fatigue, just order the large mixed grill, and enjoy the show!

Eda is a bright and modern restaurant with well spaced tables that provide the customer with plenty of privacy. The customer service was friendly, polite, and efficient. The food can only be described as delicious with excellent.seasoning and the meat on this occasion ,a lamb dish, Kuzu Ali Nazik was cooked to perfection. On initial viewing the price at nearly £27 appears expensive. However this does includes a substantial meal with rice, grilled veg, salad, bread and a selection of dips.Similarly there was no skimping on the quantity of meat. I'd thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
