Fresh cooked food, high quality

Went this weekend. Totally rushed by staff. Lamb was so fatty. The food was bland and sadly the waiters were sweeping around us and spraying cleaner the whole time we were eating so close to our food: the staff literally took our plates from us when legally if we come in before closing time we have to finish our food, so all in all strongly recommend not going here at all. Not value for money either

What can I say. If you visit Glasgow then you must come here. The food was fantastic and then as I went to get the bill they bought over a complimentary dessert that was out of this world

Fantastic authentic Turkish food and plenty to choose from on the menu. We were given a complimentary ramekin of soup (which was cold) a basket of the loveliest bread and dips too. We ordered two main meals, two large beers and a bottle of wine. The food was really good and plenty of it. It was well presented. We enjoyed our beer and wine although drinks are very expensive. The issue we had was the server kept approaching our table. It became uncomfortable. We barely poured the beer from the bottle when she came and lifted the bottles, she realised my husbands bottle wasn’t empty so she had to set it back down. We then ordered another two beers. As we were nearing completion of our meal she must have approached us another four times. Once we finished our wine, but not the beer, we asked for the bill. We still had beer to drink but as soon as my husband had paid the bill (£95 for two of us) she said ‘we need this table’ She couldn’t even wait until we finished the last of our beer. It felt like we had paid so we can get out. I know they’re busy which is a good sign. The food is lovely but telling someone they need the table even before you’ve finished your drink after spending £100 including the tip is just wrong. She knew we were almost ready to go so shouldn’t have said that. Without the remark and the constant approaching our table it would easily have been a five star review. We will return next time we are in Glasgow centre and hopefully we can leave when we are ready to.

Food was great but the prices were extremely high and the quantities small. We ordered the largest mixed grill which costed 96£ for 3 people and we barely got full. Baklava was the worst I've ever tried. It tasted like bread. Kounefe was decent. The service we received from the girls was great but the main guy was not friendly at all. We waited 25 minutes to order even though there were 3 tables at that time.

The food, atmosphere and service are amazing. The staff awaits you for a friendly and warm welcome. The food is great. Not only for Turkish cuisine, but also one of the best restaurants in Glasgow.

Interrupted when telling server we had table for three, pointed in direction of table. Sat down and looked through menu, left after 15 minutes without a single word being said to us by either of the two people serving a grand total of six tables. Certainly won’t rush back.

My family and I have been here so many times. Having said that, there's no reason for me to tell you why. Great respectful atmosphere, great service, not bad for parking but above all, the food is amazing...everytime! Oh and the bread, oh my, you've never had bread like this in your life!

Very good quality food but felt it was too pricey. I understand you pay for what you get but it was quite pricey. The desserts where not authentic it was below average for desserts. The turkish tea was not nice. Neither is the baklava. I’ve a apartment in turkey over 10 years. The meat quality is nice but not worth the price tag. Also £7 for orange juice ? For a glass ? A glass bottle of juice is £4.25 which is ok for 2 people but not a large group or a party. Sorry you might not like the review but honesty is the best policy. My son and I had lunch at this restaurant today. The whole experience was excellent. The staff were lovely, the food was amazing and we were given so many extras like a starter, dips and bread. My son says it’s his new favourite!

Absolutely amazing meal at Eda this evening, food is outstanding and the staff are friendly and helpful. We had a selection of Meze, 9 between the 4 of us and it was the perfect amount.

Giant kebab for two people. Of course, amazed!

We are Turkish people and we brought our Chinese family members to introduce our cuisine. This restaurant nailed it! The dishes were very close to original, which is way better than what we expected considering turkish ingredients would be hard to match. The only criticism we would make is that hummus was not good at all. Needed lemon and salt, tahini ratio was low too. Other than that, we were satisfied with the mixed grill and the vegetarian options too since we had a vegetarian in our party.

Everything was perfect until a waiter came and asked if he could take away my friend's dish, even though we hadn't finished...

My friend and I visited here in Nov 2023 and it was good. The staff were very nice, friendly and the vibe was chill. We had some starters and mains and we were given complimentary bread as well. Although we asked for more bread but there was no mention that it required pay but I didn’t mind. At the end we had a dessert on the house which was lovely. Great place in general.

This is a spot I go with my family on special occasions, I went a few days ago and I was shocked at the prices. It honestly feels like your getting robbed with the portion sizes. They have increased their prices dramatically whilst also making their portions smaller. The medium grill used to be for 2 people and now it says for one person? Everything on the menu is wayyy overpriced for what you get. It's a shame because the food is not too bad but safe to say I wont be coming here anymore. There are so many more places that are much better and worth the money.

The food is absolutely delicious. All dishes are typical and reflect the authentic Turkish flavour. The environment is welcoming and the employees are also very helpful and kind although my personal advice is not to ask too many times if everything is going well. The price is adequate for the quality of the products and the choice is very vast. I would go back and try something else even though we absolutely loved what we got. The decorations and the music in the room make the place truly original

£85 Worst quality food ever was recommended this outfit and thought will be great Grill and Turkish Food. Went with my wife and son yesterday and the Grill was poor quality Luke warm and half of it was boiled meat and the other lamb main course was boiled lamb sauté total rubbish £7 for a glass of orange Juice daylight robbery yes I know it's expensive but the food was poor better options in Glasgow for under half this price. Starters were OK rest £84.20 down the drain with my wife raging Expected a proper grill this was nowhere near Turkish very poor quality and annoyed with £85 being wasted

I went to this restaurant so many times, the food is 10 stars, fresh and the customer service is outstanding, thanks a million for looking after us, who ever hasn't tried this restaurant please try it you won't be disappointed I promise you this. Alishah and kash

I ordered a takeaway from Eda, whilst waiting I had a complimentary Turkish tea which was really nice. We got home and unpacked our takeaway, the attention to detail wasn't lost in the takeaway. We had the medium mixed grill, every mouthful absolutely delicious. Even the pre-packed salad was beautiful. Lamb chop, shish, chicken and donner meat in a bed of bulgar wheat to one side and fluffy rice on the other, with some chips sprinkled over the top. Two little pots of sauce on the side. Absolutely gorgeous. Definitely a jewel in Glasgows crown.

Delicious Turkish food. The portions are bigger than expected; the lentil soup of the day is an exceptionally good deal.

disappointed - lost my booking then meal was hurried (as they were going to be busy later) and VERY expensive for what we had. the mixed grill was twice the cost of one I had in England last month I had hoped for fine dining but felt like I was in a kitchen. food was reasonable but nothing special.

Ordered a sizeable (£80 approx) vegetarian takeaway on a wet Tuesday night. Waited with a couple of friends and ordered a bottle of red wine while we waited. Half an hour later and as we were beside the kitchen couldn't help but notice that they hadn't even bothered to start our order. Shambolic and frankly disrespectful. Don't bother.

Visited this restaurant a few months ago and had an excellent experience. I really liked their lamb shawarma (picture with fork), it wasn't oily, cut was thick, and instead of a cheap shawarma smell from a takeaway, it had a wonderful aroma and taste. I picked up a couple of shawarmas from them yesterday for takeout (2nd picture). This was like a 4 pounds donner thinly cut from any bad takeaway. Full of oil and smell...

As a visitor to Glasgow, coming into the Eda restaurant was such a delight so much so that I went back with a few friends the next day. The food is so tasty and full of flavour with great presentation. It catered for the vegetarian and halal needs of my group. I would recommend

Took my daughter for lunch. There’s no lunch menu and while the food was decent I can only say I found it very overpriced thus the 2 out of 5 review. I had a king prawns starter that had a few small prawns a couple of which had the vein out and a couple which didn’t at £10.50. For main course my daughter had a chicken kebab at £20.50. She had a glass of soda water and lime for £4.25 I had a can of Diet Coke for £4.25. Service was friendly enough, the food was ok and perhaps on a Saturday night you wouldn’t mind paying almost £20 for a doner kebab (I don’t know that I would) but almost £70 for such a basic lunch that you can get elsewhere in the city for half the price means my first visit will also be my last.

Ate here last evening with my husband and son. Staff were very welcoming and the food was delicious. The air conditioning was on which made the restaurant very cool, a number of diners had their coats on and the staff seemed oblivious to this! The soft drinks are overpriced at £8.50 for 2 diet cokes however this said the food was lovely and I would definitely recommend!

The food was excellent - very fresh with large portions. The wait staff were helpful and friendly, especially since we had not eaten Turkish food before. We would happily return!

I've eaten here a few times on my visits to Glasgow. I can safely say that they make the best lamb doner ever! The aubergine lamb is excellent as well and so is the mixed grill. The starters are ok. The Turkish tea is superb! It's nice to see that the manager patiently trains the young students who serve here part-time. They are very polite and despite the high pressure during busy times, they learn to manage the floor with grace.

My family and I had a wonderful meal at Eda. This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The meal began with hot, fresh baked bread accompanied by an assortment of delicious condiments. Our main course was delicious with generous portions.

This place used to be great. Was the go to place for years, the long awaited Turkish restaurant with reliably good and consistent quality. Over the past year or so, the prices have increased, portion sizes have reduced and quality of ingredients has decreased. The rice in the mixed grill was awful last time I went. Staff are great and friendly. Worth a try but not somewhere I take my family regularly anymore, sadly.

Great selection of food but make sure you don't miss out on the starters. Also has a decent selection of vegetarian options. Staff are really friendly & helpful with ordering your meal.

Generally very good, but let down by a very bland moussaka. We had a chicken wrap, chicken shish baba ghanoush and the moussaka. The wrap was good, the chicken on baba ghanoush outstanding - the dips and bread a pleasant surprise that tested waist bands when combined with the already generous portions, but the moussaka. Bland béchamel overwhelmed the small layers of pretty bland meat and aubergine. Fighting talk I know, but perhaps leave this to the greeks or better still get hold of Delia Smith's recipe, which is infinitely superior!

It's not that expensive considering the huge portion and dips and side full basket of warm bread you are given. Definitely worth visiting. I will try shashliks next time as I thought the tomato sauce could be a little bit more flavourful and thicker, but thats just a suggestion its still worth trying :)

Came here tonight and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The lamb on the kamb shish is delicious and so tender. Generous portions of bread to compliment your order too.

It's a nice place to enjoy the turkish cuisine with family or friends. It is also halal by the way making the meat and chicken more tender than ever.

I've been to many Turkish restaurants in the UK, mostly around London and Manchester. But out of all of them, this place has been the best. The food is honestly delicious, bucking the trend of mediocre and overpriced dishes you see a lot iof n the UK, particularly in the South.

First impression is a beautifully decorated, immaculate restaurant in a unique location, and the food definitely lives up to its surroundings. I was expecting my meal to be good because the restaurant always looks busy but I was surprised at how good EVERYTHING was, right down to the bread (which was homemade and served warm) and the rice which was so soft and fluffy. It is a good sign when a restaurant gets the small details right. I should also mention that I went there with my pal from Istanbul, and she was just as happy with the food as I was. We will definitely be back.

I was invited here by one of my Turkish friend Ibrahim … everything was absolutely amazing, fresh and full of flavours . Grilled meats was juicy and cooked perfectly… usually in other places grilled meats are dry but here i was surprised how soft and juicy they are . Service absolutely friendly and helpful. Place is really clean as well . I would recommend this place for anyone who looking for grilled food and Turkish cuisine. I will visit this place again with whole family soon … Thanks for today 👌👌👌👌👌😍

Too pricey for the amount of food served. Not worth it, mix grill is just lame. Not good atmosphere and will do with more cheerful staff. Not recommended.

Food was lovely , enjoyed the cold mezze full of flavours so much choice so tasty and freshly baked bread to go with the dips was yummy. Main course was the fab too i chose the chicken shish wrap again lots of nice flavours and my friends really liked the food too. Would totally recommend this place . Staff were friendly and really attentive.

I booked a table for one not too long ago, the food was great! The main course (lamb shank) was somewhat mediocre compared to others I’ve tried, but tender nonetheless. However, after waiting for the bill for nearly twenty minutes, I was extremely disappointed and this led to a negative outcome. While I normally understand thatin the catering side of running a restaurant it can be busy serving customers, I observed 3 waiters/waitresses cleaning empty tables rather than completing my transaction. There was also a group of intoxicated individuals adjacent to my table exhibiting antisocial behaviour (yelling, smashing stuff) which led to an uncomfortable atmosphere. The food quality makes up quite a bit for the experience - but I may opt for a takeout in the future!
