Fantastic, went with my daughter on her recommendation, fabulous choice of food, first experience of 'Hot potting' great stuff. Loved it.

The first time I've had Korean BBQ and Hotpot, it won't be my last! The food was tasty, the staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was clean. Next time I'm in Glasgow I'd definitely head back.

Excellent service from start to finish, friendly and prompt greeting upon entry, seated quickly and walked through how to use and find everything in great detail. The value for money is phenomenal, most definitely a must if your in Glasgow looking for chinese cuisine/Korean bbq style.

Michael was immediately attentive and helpful in getting started on our culinary adventure! We walked past several times and were enticed in by the wonderful smells! Highly recommended for both locals and tourists!

Fantastic place to go, it's more of an experience than just a regular meal. One of the lovely women there showed us how everything works and even made us up some dipping sauces for us returning to our table. Great selection of meats, and veggies. Will definitely be back!!

Amazing place for hotpot and bbq- only downside is the range of food appears to be less. especially the different types of tofu seems to have reduced. Doesn’t stop me going there and I will be back.

Good food little expensive for what you get

Great restaurant, all you can eat with a large selection of accessories for the hotpot and plenty of choice for the BBQ. I usually go out to eat every Sunday and am very happy with the staff.

One of our favourite places to go for group celebrations because there's so much choice of food for everyone. Their food is regularly replenished and all fresh - they also have authentic chinese food options too. They have a very extensive sauce-preparation station and the rice / noodle selection available is a plus! Staff are excellent - it gets quite busy but there are always enough staff around to assist each table which is great. They're always happy to change your bbq plate to avoid burning and also top up your hot pot soup. They allow 2 hours eating which is plenty of time and they never rush you. We're always excited to come back and it's amazing they've moved to city centre which is easier for everyone to get to :)

This place is lovely! We went for a birthday celebration and they gave us a banner on our table which was really nice. The staff were all friendly and periodically checked on us. They also gave nice explanations for our first time using a hotpot and grill place, one server even showed us how to make up sauces for dipping and they were lovely. Food is really good quality and has a huge selection to choose from. Various meats, vegetables and rice cakes/dumplings to choose from. There is a sign about extras charges for food wastage but this is to be expected in an all you can eat place. The price was expensive but with all you get it was worth it. I’ll definitely be back in for another special occasion in the future

Great experience! Cooking for yourself was such a novelty, and we enjoyed it a lot. Staff were super friendly as well and explained everything. Only criticism is that they didn't refill the rice for over an hour. Just mildly annoying for me, but a horrible business decision from them cause I just stuffed myself with meat, haha.

Me and my family recently ate at this Korean BBQ restaurant and loved it! We ended up paying almost 150£ for 4 people (drinks included), and it was worth every penny! The food was great quality, everything was really clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and visit again

Fun dining option where you get to cook your own food in hot broths and on a hot plate. Lots of choice and good quality cuts of meat and veggies. All you can eat and unlimited soft drinks for around £40 is probably fair but prevents it being a regular haunt

Second time we have been here, and it was superb once again. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the food is amazing. The slot you get is 2 hours long but we were full within an hour.

Great hotpot/BBQ buffet. Staff is always nice. The buffet selection is fresh and soo many choices. I personally love it. It is a pricey dinner out but well worth it.

Me and my family and friends absolutely love it here and come as often as we can. Staff are so lovely and kind and help whenever is needed. Although it can get a little hot sometimes it is still so much fun and enjoy it a lot. Would definitely recommend

Have been eager to try hot pot for a long time so me and my partner finally decided to come here on Wednesday. We had never been to any hot pot restaurant before so were nervous as well as excited as to what to expect. As soon as we stepped inside we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, could see everyone enjoying their meals and staff were super kind and helpful, seemed to really enjoy their jobs and were happy to help. We chose the hot and spicy (extra hot) and the mushroom broths. There was a large selection of food to choose from: meat, seafood, vegetables, salad items such as fruit and vegetables, noodles, rice cakes and a large variety of desserts. There’s truly something for everyone here! They even had an area where you can get spices/garnishes and create your own dipping sauces, my partner tried this but I was so invested in everything else I didn’t this time, will definitely try when I’m back here! Once we got the hang of what we were doing we really enjoyed ourselves and it was an experience we will never forget. Service was amazing, waitresses would fill up our broth and change our grill plates often without the need to ask. Unlimited soft drinks I believe were £3 and can fill up water as much as you like too for free. £33 each to eat here but I find this price reasonable for both the amount of choice and the high quality of available food. We will definitely be back here, had an amazing day! Thank you for making this special for us :) 5*! Will definitely be coming back!

Just had my first experience with hot pot cooking and I’m so glad it was at Jays. The staff was beyond fabulous, friendly, helpful and the food choices for meat , fish and plenty of fresh veggies was superb. Dessert was included . I would give this place an A+++ . We were with another couple and we were all absolutely delighted with everything.thank you for making this so much fun

First time trying Korean BBQ, firstly the price was £33 each i attended with my wife and daughter today. Value for money in my own opinion is good value for money as there is a great selection of meats and sea food and vegetables plus its a buffet so ear as much as you like. We chose 1 boil flavours 1 was chicken excellent flavour 2nd one was chilli we choose the least hottest and it was to hot still so wouldn't choose that again hahah. As my wife and daughter are filipino they rated the full experience 9/10 for me 7/10 reason being im not a fan of fatty meat the thinner cut meat was easier for me to eat. But i would come back again good experience. The girl who explained all to us was excellent she even brought if 3 different combination of dipping sauces and my daughter loved them. Unlimited drinks i think was £3.50 and also a good selection of desserts,fruit,ice cream all included in the price.

Food is pricey, but quality makes up for it. Meats are well seasoned and fresh. naughty wee place for early lunch .. again £100 for 2 people and couple of drinks ! but honest opinion it was worth it and will definitely be back ! the meats, seafood, vegetables and dessert all fresh and top quality could be a better selection of vegetabless on the menu but other than that top notch ! Exquisite dining experience, a must try place for any foodie. This was my first time going to a Korean BBQ and I'm so glad it was at Jay's. The staff were very helpful and even gave me a quick tour, showing me the make your own sauce station and buffet. The options of dishes is extensive from Scottish beef and lamb, to squid, dumplings, and even Ox tounge (trust me, try it). I also enjoyed that the "typical" European stuff was at a minium, but still there for those that wanted it. Also, the selection of fruit and veg was unprecedented for a buffet, and it was all fresh... loads of kinds of mushrooms too. Unlimited food, unlimited (soft) drinks, all under £40 per person. You also get the fun of cooking the meats on the hot plate, or your chosen broth.

Excellent selection for both the hotpot and BBQ. Couldn't try everything because we were absolutely stuffed. Free refills on drinks. No wait for a table. Our waitress was really nice. Around £38 per person for all you can eat plus free drink refills. Great value.

Visited as a family of 5 for a birthday lunch, with the Saturday rate for the hot pot and a refillable drink each, it came to just under £40 each. The food was delicious and we left stuffed! The staff were really attentive and filled up our broth, and actually changed it at one point when they felt it wasn’t up to scratch. They also gave us a little tour and how to, as it was a first for some of the group. As a pescatarian I felt there was great variety for myself, the rest of the family are meat eaters so had even more to chose from.

I've been twice and loved every minute of it. There is plenty of selection, and everything is very nice. The only thing I can say is a negative is how hot it gets in the restaurant, but that is to be expected with all the heat coming from BBQ and hotpot equipment.

Food and staff are juts amazing always welcomed and enjoyed going now been 4 times and never fails, coming back with friends with more empty tummys lol xxx So yummmmyyy x

Great service, everything tastes good, amazing selection of meat/vegetables and other bits. So good!

Disappointed. The quality is no longer what it used to be. The choice is not wide. For vegetarians it is almost nothing. Pak choi dirty, not washed. The fish selection was poor, only prawns and squid. The 7 year old twins paid because they were more that 1 meter tall, in reality I paid them £15 each for just 4 chicken nuggets and a few french fries and 1 ice cream. The soups are flavorless and almost all water. Disappointed, it's not worth the money they ask for. In the past it was better.

If you love variety and fresh ingredients, I don't think you'll find better in Glasgow.

Amazing value for money, unlimited rice, sauces and steamed buns on the side as well. We definitely got our moneys worth. Soft drinks are also unlimited. Very easy to navigate, lady who served us was very nice and explained everything for us. Will be returning

It was my 65thbirthday took my wife and daughter and 2 grandchildren to the bq One 8 the other 9 if over a certain height You have to pay full price considering they only ate Noddles and sweets £40 pounds is a bit expensive for a lunch £187 For three adults and 2 children

The food is phenomenal; the quality of the cuts of meat and the variety of things between hot pot and BBQ make it well worth the price tag! Staff are friendly and very helpful; if you’re not used to Korean bbq, make it known and the staff will help and provide great recommendations. 10/10, will definitely be back again!

Not many places offer both hot pot and Korean bbq all you can eat. Definitely worth the money 100%. Massive selection of fresh meats, seafood tasted fresh. Huge selection of veggies. Loads of classic sauces to choose from. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Even showing us combinations and how best to eat/cook certain things. One of the best bbq/hot pot joints I’ve ever been to. And they even have desserts!! Will definitely be back! Also the restaurant it’s self was very clean, as were the toilets.

Staff was lovely, food not so much. The foods been sat out all day and some of it is stale, the sea food is left out at room temp and there didn’t seem to be much of a cooling system for there food in place, apart from 2 freezers. My man is a big guy and can eat a lot but he ate 2 plates before refusing to eat anything else. I seen this place on TikTok and was really excited to go, but I’ve been really let down with the quality of the meal. DO NOT RECOMMEND, not worth the 40 odd pound a head!!!

Food was really good and a fun experience for a first time hot pot/ Korean BBQ goer. There is a separate vegetarian price for just the veggies but still quite expensive, I wouldn't go if I were vegan as the price would be very high. Only reason it loses a star is because it is quite expensive, but I do understand the price because it's basically all the meat and fish you can eat.

For a treat or special occasion you can’t go wrong with Jay’s bbq. Excellent variety of food on offer and with all you can eat the relatively high price feels good value. Particularly when you take your time to enjoy all the great ingredients that’s on offer, the quality of the food and service.

Well if you like quality meat, veg, seafood, dessert....they have it all and you can eat as much as you want!!!! First time and I have so enjoyed it, most certainly be back again. Jays BBQ is a set price and absolutely value for the money. The staff have been lovely and so informative, please give this place a try, you'll love it

Excellent all you can eat hot pot and barbecue, huge variety of food, even including dessert. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Waitress came to change the sheet on the grill without us asking. £35 per person sounds a bit expensive but totally worth it.

Honestly can't fault lunch here, if you haven't been before they will explain everything to you but maybe watch a video or two on Chinese hotpot and Korean bbq just so you know what to expect, ingredients are fresh and plentiful and can be cooked just how you like it as you are doing it yourself. It's all you can eat and you have to give the table back in couple hours if they are busy, we sat for over 3 hours and they didn't say a word, as long as you are not putting away endless plates then they are more than happy to just let you sit and relax which was great after such a large meal, deserts are available and included in the price (soft serve machine 👍) soft drinks are also all you can drink for one price, £3.50 at time of review. Staff are helpful and on the ball with paper changes for the grill and soup top ups for the hotpot. Very relaxed and sociable way to eat 😁

The service was brilliant, genuinly excellent servers patiently explaining how things work. The hotpot was very high quality but the steak for the Korean bbq had an awful lot of connective tissue and fat. The ice-cream could have done with a bit more variety of Flavours and maybe some toppings

I'm more a bring me what I ordered kind of guy, this was a completely different way of cooking, a huge abundance of choice & flavours and you BBQ it yourself and cook your noodles yourself, I would go back as the staff are excellent at explaining how to cook everything, the atmosphere was great. Great night out for something a wee bit different.

This is hands down the best restaurant in the city, it's a very authentic Korean BBQ place. The price of entry is high however this is more than made up for in the quality of the meats and vegetables on offer, it is 100% priced correctly for it's value and is far better than any other restaurant in the city at the same price point. I've been 3 times and intend to go back in two weeks

Last week, I went out to eat with my friends and noticed that some of the staff had a very poor attitude towards service. There was a middle-aged male waiter, who I couldn't tell if he was from Pakistan or India. Additionally, he could speak Chinese. His service towards us was very poor, and he was very indifferent when we spoke to him. He showed no enthusiasm for his work. Even when I needed his help, I couldn't tell if he didn't hear me or just didn't want to help internally. In any case, he completely ignored me. This significantly affected my dining experience (though the food actually tasted good).

Amazing place! The whole experience is quite unique, and the food was amazing. I would also give 6 stars to the servers who were super attentive and made sure we understood how to make the food and how everything goes together. BRILLIANT

Went here with my family the other night for the first time, and was so amazed by the experience!! The staff were so lovely and helpful, especially our waitress who instructed us of where to go for different things and what meats work best for what, and also helped us with making up some sauces for the hotpot. A really different experience from your average restaurant night out, and i really wish there were more places like this around scotland!! Food was incredible, lovely hotpot broths and the vegetables were lovely and fresh, the side dishes were also delicious. As someone who would usually rather eat anything else other than meat, i probably enjoyed meat for the first time in my life here haha. Not a single thing wasn’t delicious. The price is what made us take so long to try this place, and will probably stop us from coming back for a while, but i think it is worth the price. The experience while dining and the quality of every item of food, as well as the great service, i left broke but happy with no regrets.

The food quality was okay, but the service has huge space to improve. Upon arrival, we were awkwardly asked to step back from the reception to the doorway, which felt a bit unwelcoming. "you will make our waitress feel stressed" Is it a nice way to show his manliness and kindness to his female colleague? Additionally, I requested a half pint of Tennent's beer on the menu, but was served a full pint instead WITHOUT telling me. The explanation provided was that they don't serve half pints of Tennent's, despite it being advertised. Later a waitress told me they put the Tennent's into half pint Asahi glass and gave it to me. But when I made the payment, the bill shows half pint Asahi which is more expensive. The waiter before threatened us if we don't accept this he would cancel our 10 percent discount by using cash.

Absolutely lovely staff and the food is amazing. I would definitely say it's a good place for party's or for couples as to the atmosphere being really relaxed as you bring your food over to the table and cook.

Jay's Bar as always, never fails to fill you with good hot quality food. I always go once now and then, so should you if you can. It's more expensive on weekend evenings so if you're looking to save some money, you can go during the week for a big meaty meal. It's not the best place for vegan individuals

Decided to do something different, having seen this on a Facebook article. While we were a bit confused at first about what to do we quickly picked it up. If you’re unsure have a look on YouTube etc for some hints and tips. Basically a bbq hot plate and a boiling broth pot, each for cooking different meats and veg etc. My tip would be even the medium hot pot was very hot. Get half and half, you can mix it up. Try little bits of everything and don’t forget the delicious vegtables. The refillable drinks, Pepsi was the best I’ve tasted. Wouldn’t advise for a first date etc as could be messy and awkward, don’t wear your best gear either as splashes and dribbles will occur. We will certainly be back and was definetly a different experience. Ideal for friends and couples. Wouldn’t recommend for fussy eaters. Not a quick bite to eat either, we were there for at leat two hours.

I swear I'm not exaggerating when I say this is one of the greatest meals I have ever had. Never ate this much in one sitting. If you like Chinese/Korean food at all this place is heaven itself.

Seriously disappointed after loving the original Jay's down at Kelvingrove. The meat and broth quality wasn't good at all. The staff hovered over us and was blown away at the price. Cost more for 2 than it did for 3 of us at the original on a Sunday. Rarely put up a negative review but was genuinely shocked at being charged that after such a substandard meal.

1st time i have visited and will definitely be back.

Jay's BBQ Bar offers a wide range of raw ingredients, including meat, vegetables, and seafood, for either self-service Korean BBQ or hotpot. The food quality is generally good and fresh. The service is efficient but average, as it is a do-it-yourself dining experience. Lastly, is it worth the price? I would say no. It's a good experience but poor value for money.

Had an amazing time at Jay’s! Such a great place to meet and hang out with friends over high quality food! The only reason why it’s -1 star is because we were told we had to leave so that the table could be cleaned and prepared for the next customers an hour into our 2hrs max stay.

was my first visit and the food was fantiastic thats where the good stops the food was great considering we cooked it ourselfs the staff were really annoying constantly coming over to the table the backgroumd noise of the restraunt was almost unbarable they also dont make you aware of a £10 charge for every 200g of food you dont eat but have no takeaway tubs for you to take it away absalute scam one of the servers also stated they were refilling our hotpot they did with hot water for £33 a head way overpriced for what we got and just ruined our meal after we found out we might have to pay for stuff we didnt eat but couldnt take it home luckily the guy at the bar was lovely and understood it was our first time there there should be an option for customers to take there food not eaten home not just charge them for it i certanly wont be back i will visit one of the many other korean food places in glasgow it would be 1 star all around but the food was good staffs english was shocking also considering there i think waitresses could barley understand what we were saying and spoke really quietly so we couldnt hear what she was saying from what we heard thogh she seemed really nice just important if your instructing over how hot stuff works to actually understand what your being told i will note the charge for food waste is in on the back of the menu my point is its not waist if you take it home and eat it later rather than it going in the bin

If you love bbq food, this is the place to go. Spicy pork was my personally favourite and the staff are all very good at helping you out as you need.
