First time experiencing eating out like this and it did not disappoint! The food is delicious, love how you can cook it yourself! Staff are beyond attentive and explain what to do. So many options to choose from! Wear a size up as I needed rolling out!

The spicy broth was not good at all.. They changed the recipe and the spice they used was too spicy. They added too much of the peppercorns in the broth. But they were very nice, when we complained, they changed it.

Ari at Jay's BBQ and Bar provided truly amazing service! His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his recommendations were spot on and delicious. He made our dining experience fantastic with his attentiveness and friendly demeanor. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal thanks to Ari's guidance. We will definitely be back and hope to be served by him again!👌🏻🍽️💯

Amazing flavours and a fun experience with the family.

Lovely place to try out hot pot and 'KBBQ'. They offer unlimited meats and have a good variety of vegetables/noodles/desserts. They also have rice, a make your own dipping sauce station and a section with Halal meats. Thinly slices of meat are available in the freezer and there is chicken and pork Gyoza available too. Staff are lovely and helpful. Although, kinda wish they didn't 'top up' the hotpot with hot water too much as it dilutes it and the flavour is gone by the time the BBQ meats are cooked 😭. For the real 'Korean BBQ' experience, we kinda wish they didn't have the greaseproof paper over the 'grill' as you don't get the char on meats as you would when it makes direct contact with the hotplate. Understandable, given the traffic that goes through but one aspect we personally miss. Another thing we wish staff enforced, keeping guests with long hair away from the meats section as we've experienced having either a long blonde/brunette strand on pieces of meat which isn't hygienic 🤢. Overall, it is a great experience for those who enjoy Asian cuisine and like their meat. There are plenty of vegetables/seafood on offer but wouldn't take our Vegan friends for dinner in here 😅.

5 stars all round! I would give more stars if I could. Overall an incredible experience. We went here for our parents birthday dinner, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Our first time trying hot pot. The staff were so friendly and incredibly patient and descriptive. They explained the situation very well and nothing was ever too much. They have a make your own sauce station and one of the staff even offered to make us some different flavours. Delicious. They also performed a birthday song and gave a lovely special cake without us even asking. The food was all very high quality and delicious! Unlimited meats, veggies, rice, and more all included in the price. Worth every penny. The flavours were like nothing we have tried before and ever bite was something different, an explosion of flavours. Good for picky eaters too as there is so much variety of many different foods and various different spices and heat levels. Priced very reasonably for what you can get. We were shocked that it could be so affordable for a meal thats probably one of the best we have ever enjoyed. I would highly recommend, especially for families/groups.

Loved the mala! Very clean and great price, as someone with withdrawals of real hotpot and suki this hit the spot. Note: everything is cleaned and sterilised and meat is kept separated and marked. Very limited chances of cross contamination. Beef, chicken and lamb are halal. Bonus they have a mr whippy ice cream machine and the refills for drinks is free.

100th -or so visit - (bath street) I had no idea this was the same place i used to go to all the time when it was near the gallery, so happy to have found it again! Another brilliant time and I'm not surprised after discovering this! The staff were amazing and super informative, helpful, kind and warm. Thank you to every single one, you all made the night wonderful, I am so grateful. The restaurant is great, easy to follow and food is brilliant, very fun to do the cooking and such too. But honestly what made it was the staff, everyone was so lovely. I was taken by such surprise when they started singing happy birthday and brought the wee dessert, I was looking around thinking it was for someone else but really the lovely Waitress who was tending to us had overheard my friend tell me "happy birthday" on arrival and later asked him if they could surprise me. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, honestly made my night. I was so overwhelmed with happiness and appreciation i even forgot to blow out the candle at first. I have had the best birthday and an amazing start to the year, thanks so much to everyone. Thank you! 1st visit (across from kelvinart gallery) Truely amazing, the staff are so kind and thoughtful! Plenty of halal options staff are very friendly and helpful. Went there for lunch and definitely left feeling like I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. I also love the rules around no food waste very smart to make people think before putting food on the plate. Definitely recommend if you want a Korean BBQ or open buffet experience!

Amazing place. This was our first time eating here. Staff were very friendly and super helpful. Explained everything and waitress even walked us round the food selection giving tips etc - nice touch.. Kept topping up the broth and replacing the grill. Highly recommend and will be back

Best hot pot in Glasgow. Super chilled atmosphere, food was great! Staff were excellent. For three people it cost around £115 with drinks (bottomless) included and all you can eat. This is not a place where all you can eat means the quality drops. The food was great.

Staff very friendly and helpful for first timers

We have come here once a month for 6 months now, it was great at the beginning but selection is just the same everytime and we kind of get bored now. The bbq stove was really cooking very slowly and we had to wait for ages for the meat to be cooked. Different service attendants come by every 3 mins asking the same questions, interrupting our conversation, which is quite unpleasant.

Had been here two years ago, more food can be chosen than now. Very disappointed, few available food for hot pot, all the dishes for BBQ are in same favour, no matter pork belly, chicken wings or chicken gizzard. It’s the last time to visit here. Won’t back. The food is totally unworthy of the price.

Great restaurant, all you can eat with a large selection of accessories for the hotpot and plenty of choice for the BBQ. I usually go out to eat every Sunday and am very happy with the staff.

So it was my fiancées birthday and wanted to take her somewhere asian, as she is asian her self, she absolutely loved this place, and the food. Needless to say I think we will be going back. Now for me I'm pure English so alot of this food wasn't to my taste as I'm a very fussy eater, but gave most things a try. And enjoyed myself

Very good. We tried hotpot in Amsterdam while in a break and lived it and wanted to try again on our home turf. We were impressed. Lots of food to choose from and the food is of high quality as well. The dessert selection was impressive with some very high end items that really enhanced the meal. (Often the dessert is neglected at buffet but not here). The only problem is the make your own sauce. The instructions are not clear and the ingredient name labels don’t match the recipe. It’s very unclear. It would be good if there was a cooking time sheet for the hotpot too. As you just need to guess when stuff is cooked.

The first time I've had Korean BBQ and Hotpot, it won't be my last! The food was tasty, the staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was clean. Next time I'm in Glasgow I'd definitely head back.

Excellent service from start to finish, friendly and prompt greeting upon entry, seated quickly and walked through how to use and find everything in great detail. The value for money is phenomenal, most definitely a must if your in Glasgow looking for chinese cuisine/Korean bbq style.

Michael was immediately attentive and helpful in getting started on our culinary adventure! We walked past several times and were enticed in by the wonderful smells! Highly recommended for both locals and tourists!

Fantastic place to go, it's more of an experience than just a regular meal. One of the lovely women there showed us how everything works and even made us up some dipping sauces for us returning to our table. Great selection of meats, and veggies. Will definitely be back!!

Amazing place for hotpot and bbq- only downside is the range of food appears to be less. especially the different types of tofu seems to have reduced. Doesn’t stop me going there and I will be back.

Good food little expensive for what you get

One of our favourite places to go for group celebrations because there's so much choice of food for everyone. Their food is regularly replenished and all fresh - they also have authentic chinese food options too. They have a very extensive sauce-preparation station and the rice / noodle selection available is a plus! Staff are excellent - it gets quite busy but there are always enough staff around to assist each table which is great. They're always happy to change your bbq plate to avoid burning and also top up your hot pot soup. They allow 2 hours eating which is plenty of time and they never rush you. We're always excited to come back and it's amazing they've moved to city centre which is easier for everyone to get to :)

This place is lovely! We went for a birthday celebration and they gave us a banner on our table which was really nice. The staff were all friendly and periodically checked on us. They also gave nice explanations for our first time using a hotpot and grill place, one server even showed us how to make up sauces for dipping and they were lovely. Food is really good quality and has a huge selection to choose from. Various meats, vegetables and rice cakes/dumplings to choose from. There is a sign about extras charges for food wastage but this is to be expected in an all you can eat place. The price was expensive but with all you get it was worth it. I’ll definitely be back in for another special occasion in the future

Great experience! Cooking for yourself was such a novelty, and we enjoyed it a lot. Staff were super friendly as well and explained everything. Only criticism is that they didn't refill the rice for over an hour. Just mildly annoying for me, but a horrible business decision from them cause I just stuffed myself with meat, haha.

Me and my family recently ate at this Korean BBQ restaurant and loved it! We ended up paying almost 150£ for 4 people (drinks included), and it was worth every penny! The food was great quality, everything was really clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and visit again

Second time we have been here, and it was superb once again. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the food is amazing. The slot you get is 2 hours long but we were full within an hour.

Fun dining option where you get to cook your own food in hot broths and on a hot plate. Lots of choice and good quality cuts of meat and veggies. All you can eat and unlimited soft drinks for around £40 is probably fair but prevents it being a regular haunt

Great hotpot/BBQ buffet. Staff is always nice. The buffet selection is fresh and soo many choices. I personally love it. It is a pricey dinner out but well worth it.

Me and my family and friends absolutely love it here and come as often as we can. Staff are so lovely and kind and help whenever is needed. Although it can get a little hot sometimes it is still so much fun and enjoy it a lot. Would definitely recommend

Just had my first experience with hot pot cooking and I’m so glad it was at Jays. The staff was beyond fabulous, friendly, helpful and the food choices for meat , fish and plenty of fresh veggies was superb. Dessert was included . I would give this place an A+++ . We were with another couple and we were all absolutely delighted with everything.thank you for making this so much fun

Have been eager to try hot pot for a long time so me and my partner finally decided to come here on Wednesday. We had never been to any hot pot restaurant before so were nervous as well as excited as to what to expect. As soon as we stepped inside we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, could see everyone enjoying their meals and staff were super kind and helpful, seemed to really enjoy their jobs and were happy to help. We chose the hot and spicy (extra hot) and the mushroom broths. There was a large selection of food to choose from: meat, seafood, vegetables, salad items such as fruit and vegetables, noodles, rice cakes and a large variety of desserts. There’s truly something for everyone here! They even had an area where you can get spices/garnishes and create your own dipping sauces, my partner tried this but I was so invested in everything else I didn’t this time, will definitely try when I’m back here! Once we got the hang of what we were doing we really enjoyed ourselves and it was an experience we will never forget. Service was amazing, waitresses would fill up our broth and change our grill plates often without the need to ask. Unlimited soft drinks I believe were £3 and can fill up water as much as you like too for free. £33 each to eat here but I find this price reasonable for both the amount of choice and the high quality of available food. We will definitely be back here, had an amazing day! Thank you for making this special for us :) 5*! Will definitely be coming back!

First time trying Korean BBQ, firstly the price was £33 each i attended with my wife and daughter today. Value for money in my own opinion is good value for money as there is a great selection of meats and sea food and vegetables plus its a buffet so ear as much as you like. We chose 1 boil flavours 1 was chicken excellent flavour 2nd one was chilli we choose the least hottest and it was to hot still so wouldn't choose that again hahah. As my wife and daughter are filipino they rated the full experience 9/10 for me 7/10 reason being im not a fan of fatty meat the thinner cut meat was easier for me to eat. But i would come back again good experience. The girl who explained all to us was excellent she even brought if 3 different combination of dipping sauces and my daughter loved them. Unlimited drinks i think was £3.50 and also a good selection of desserts,fruit,ice cream all included in the price.

Food is pricey, but quality makes up for it. Meats are well seasoned and fresh. naughty wee place for early lunch .. again £100 for 2 people and couple of drinks ! but honest opinion it was worth it and will definitely be back ! the meats, seafood, vegetables and dessert all fresh and top quality could be a better selection of vegetabless on the menu but other than that top notch ! Exquisite dining experience, a must try place for any foodie. This was my first time going to a Korean BBQ and I'm so glad it was at Jay's. The staff were very helpful and even gave me a quick tour, showing me the make your own sauce station and buffet. The options of dishes is extensive from Scottish beef and lamb, to squid, dumplings, and even Ox tounge (trust me, try it). I also enjoyed that the "typical" European stuff was at a minium, but still there for those that wanted it. Also, the selection of fruit and veg was unprecedented for a buffet, and it was all fresh... loads of kinds of mushrooms too. Unlimited food, unlimited (soft) drinks, all under £40 per person. You also get the fun of cooking the meats on the hot plate, or your chosen broth.

Excellent selection for both the hotpot and BBQ. Couldn't try everything because we were absolutely stuffed. Free refills on drinks. No wait for a table. Our waitress was really nice. Around £38 per person for all you can eat plus free drink refills. Great value.

Visited as a family of 5 for a birthday lunch, with the Saturday rate for the hot pot and a refillable drink each, it came to just under £40 each. The food was delicious and we left stuffed! The staff were really attentive and filled up our broth, and actually changed it at one point when they felt it wasn’t up to scratch. They also gave us a little tour and how to, as it was a first for some of the group. As a pescatarian I felt there was great variety for myself, the rest of the family are meat eaters so had even more to chose from.

I've been twice and loved every minute of it. There is plenty of selection, and everything is very nice. The only thing I can say is a negative is how hot it gets in the restaurant, but that is to be expected with all the heat coming from BBQ and hotpot equipment.

Disappointed. The quality is no longer what it used to be. The choice is not wide. For vegetarians it is almost nothing. Pak choi dirty, not washed. The fish selection was poor, only prawns and squid. The 7 year old twins paid because they were more that 1 meter tall, in reality I paid them £15 each for just 4 chicken nuggets and a few french fries and 1 ice cream. The soups are flavorless and almost all water. Disappointed, it's not worth the money they ask for. In the past it was better.

If you love variety and fresh ingredients, I don't think you'll find better in Glasgow.

Amazing value for money, unlimited rice, sauces and steamed buns on the side as well. We definitely got our moneys worth. Soft drinks are also unlimited. Very easy to navigate, lady who served us was very nice and explained everything for us. Will be returning

Not many places offer both hot pot and Korean bbq all you can eat. Definitely worth the money 100%. Massive selection of fresh meats, seafood tasted fresh. Huge selection of veggies. Loads of classic sauces to choose from. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Even showing us combinations and how best to eat/cook certain things. One of the best bbq/hot pot joints I’ve ever been to. And they even have desserts!! Will definitely be back! Also the restaurant it’s self was very clean, as were the toilets.

Staff was lovely, food not so much. The foods been sat out all day and some of it is stale, the sea food is left out at room temp and there didn’t seem to be much of a cooling system for there food in place, apart from 2 freezers. My man is a big guy and can eat a lot but he ate 2 plates before refusing to eat anything else. I seen this place on TikTok and was really excited to go, but I’ve been really let down with the quality of the meal. DO NOT RECOMMEND, not worth the 40 odd pound a head!!!

Food was really good and a fun experience for a first time hot pot/ Korean BBQ goer. There is a separate vegetarian price for just the veggies but still quite expensive, I wouldn't go if I were vegan as the price would be very high. Only reason it loses a star is because it is quite expensive, but I do understand the price because it's basically all the meat and fish you can eat.

For a treat or special occasion you can’t go wrong with Jay’s bbq. Excellent variety of food on offer and with all you can eat the relatively high price feels good value. Particularly when you take your time to enjoy all the great ingredients that’s on offer, the quality of the food and service.

Well if you like quality meat, veg, seafood, dessert....they have it all and you can eat as much as you want!!!! First time and I have so enjoyed it, most certainly be back again. Jays BBQ is a set price and absolutely value for the money. The staff have been lovely and so informative, please give this place a try, you'll love it

Excellent all you can eat hot pot and barbecue, huge variety of food, even including dessert. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Waitress came to change the sheet on the grill without us asking. £35 per person sounds a bit expensive but totally worth it.

Honestly can't fault lunch here, if you haven't been before they will explain everything to you but maybe watch a video or two on Chinese hotpot and Korean bbq just so you know what to expect, ingredients are fresh and plentiful and can be cooked just how you like it as you are doing it yourself. It's all you can eat and you have to give the table back in couple hours if they are busy, we sat for over 3 hours and they didn't say a word, as long as you are not putting away endless plates then they are more than happy to just let you sit and relax which was great after such a large meal, deserts are available and included in the price (soft serve machine 👍) soft drinks are also all you can drink for one price, £3.50 at time of review. Staff are helpful and on the ball with paper changes for the grill and soup top ups for the hotpot. Very relaxed and sociable way to eat 😁

I'm more a bring me what I ordered kind of guy, this was a completely different way of cooking, a huge abundance of choice & flavours and you BBQ it yourself and cook your noodles yourself, I would go back as the staff are excellent at explaining how to cook everything, the atmosphere was great. Great night out for something a wee bit different.

The service was brilliant, genuinly excellent servers patiently explaining how things work. The hotpot was very high quality but the steak for the Korean bbq had an awful lot of connective tissue and fat. The ice-cream could have done with a bit more variety of Flavours and maybe some toppings
