McChuills in Glasgow City

Cracking pub, good music, good vibes, good beer. Could do with some kind of heater for the smokers area but no other criticism.

My first time in a Pub, everything was good and good service, good quiet atmosphere and normal prices. After 3 pints of Guinness I liked it a lot more. I could have had another 3 more beers but my wife didn't want to stay. Clean bathrooms.

Down to earth and humble little bar in the city, perfect for a catch up with friends. Amazing staff who are super funny, kind and friendly. We stopped in for a quick drink and found ourselves in chatting with the bar for over an hour. Look forward to popping by again.

I've been a regular and also plwyed here for years and seen some amazing events over the years, the staff are friendly and the regulars I've met over the years give it a community like atmosphere and always quality music ✌️💚

Always a great atmosphere anytime I pop in, drinks quickly available and major sport events always playing. Pool table available and music venue has a great PA system custom built to make the room and talent sound great.

My new fave pub to go too, what an atmosphere, amazing bar staff, if you haven't been Go!

McChuills has been my local for years now what a fantastic pub between the atmosphere, music, and kind staff. Nick and his team do a tremendous job.. get yourselves along you won’t be disappointed!! Best pub in Glasgow👏🏻❤️

Lovely staff, 10/10 would visit again and always

Had a concert, they cut it off mid event after changing the policies midway through the show and pulled the rug. Everyone there from audiences to the headliner band got absolutely screwed over. Not even an apology was issued. Appalling.

Cut off a band mid performance, very unprofessional. Had tickets for over a month to see Nova Scotia headline, and everyone got kicked out for being under 18 despite being told that tickets were 14+ without stating that an adult must be present. truly ruined a good night and feel terrible for the headlining band, would not come here again.

cancelled gig halfway through because they changed their age policy within a baw hair of the event starting. Gig was advertised as 14+ and never mentioned the need to have an adult present. Shite

Kicked out for being under 18 when tickets were labelled 14+, was told we didn’t need an adult then rules appear to be changed halfway through a gig. First headline gig for Nova Scotia and they didn’t even play, utter shambles

Bar labelled tickets for nova scotia 14+ and then decided halfway into the show it was 18+, and kicked us all out. Showed the woman my ID that very clearly stated my year of the birth and she said it wasn’t needed. Good atmosphere until we got booted out the door!

Always a good atmosphere and good staff

Absolutely tremendous pub. Friendly staff and crowd, all ages and dress sense on show. Music is brilliant and the walls are full of music memorabilia, even spotted some records framed that I have on the walls in my house. Definitely 💯 recommended

Was at a gig here and the atmosphere was amazing. Friendly staff and was packed out in the bar area. Also has a small outdoor covered area round the side.

Great staff, great music venue and great beer. Highly recommend, great spot too - on the edge of merchant city, high st train station spitting distance away and an excellent wee vape shop across the road.

Fabulous place to go. Amazing staff and service. Great atmosphere. I accidentally left my handbag on Sunday and contacted them a couple of days later and they had it, every single thing was still there including my purse with cash it. I am very grateful as there was two sets of keys and glasses. Amazing staff, couldn’t ask any more from them. Highly recommend a visit.

Went to McChuills for the first time last week as that was the final Tenement Trail venue of the day. Not only was it the wrong place to host the gig - because it didn't close to punters without TT wristbands, unlike St Luke's/Winged Ox, etc. - it was also dangerously over capacity. Also, when we got out of the venue we queued for one more drink (there's no bar in the venue area), but by the time I eventually got served, the bar staff told us it was time so they couldn't serve me, despite it being before the 1am cut off. Their clock behind the bar was sneakily a few minutes faster than my watch or phone, and my partner's watch and phone. Not good, guys.

Excellent music venue, a real hidden gem. Everyone was so friendly and the Guinness was spot on. AMAZING selection of beers and great 0% options too. Looks like it will get busy, and I think there is a music multiple stage/venue attached as well. Seating outside and a really cool place we stopped on our small tour of Glasgow. Defo worth stopping in for a beer, and if you are a fan of a good Guinness.

Probably the best wee club in Vegas. Amazing pints, brilliant staff and a kick arse soundsystem.

I went in the afternoon so didn't get the full McChuills effect but wasn't left disappointed at all. They do have live bands in but I was already booked that evening. Currently an Irish Punk/Mod bar with a cozy low/lit atmosphere, decent, heavy quality furnishings and strings of fairy lights that just give you enough light to see all the old school posters, photos and ephemera from (I presume) it's days in the Mod/soul scene. Guinness for a fiver and a half decent range of beers and ciders. They also boast one of the most "thematically appropriate" whisky collections I have ever noticed! From Irish made whiskeys, to Rock band Branded limited editions and some Bourbons and Single malts, it really touched every genre that this venue seems to Fit into it's walls. A very pleasant time was spent here before my afternoon walk.

Needs to b shut down ottp prices, there aren't a merchant city pub, don't even do ice t n number of drinks that Scots like to have, n will b cheaper round the corner

Honestly can't believe that at 10.30 when out for a meal we were told we were too drunk and got refused entry. I guess being over 25 is too old!!. Considering this is family favourite with cousins being resident djs very disappointed with the behaviour of the doormen aunty Em is really pissed off

Had a great boogie in here. Check Let's Go Way Back events for quality events that start at 7pm and finish at midnight with fantastic tunes for old and young ravers alike. Bar staff and music are always on point.

Went after a gig, good music and friendly staff.

Was in on Wednesday night before the Dundee game with two visually impaired friends, staff went up to the bar for us to get drinks in (and they've done this on previous occasions, as well 👍.) A run of songs that included The Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, The Pogues, The Clash, the Stone Roses and the Happy Mondays. Great music, great atmosphere. An all round top pub.

Brilliant pub with some excellent live bands

Amazing place ! Always a great night, definitely the best place for music as well as football. Doesn't currently do food, but the food is good when they do it. Always does pre/post gig music for whoever is on at the Barrowlands. Best DJ in town also "yer auld da" Nicky.

Went to this fab wee place last night (February 21st) to see my daughter’s band Sixth Wonder perform as part of the Too Red’s EP launch. To say I was impressed with what Emily (Too Red) pulled off with this event is an understatement. Not only did she organise all of this she also had to take on door duties even though she was up to her eyes in getting everyone where they should be at the correct time so everything ran like clockwork. Impressive for someone so young and as part of her Uni course work she deserves an A++++

Great pub with good atmosphere, decent deals on drinks. Can be full of students at times, at other times has a good crowd. Free pool table on certain nights. Good quiz nights as well. Definitely pop in for some drinks

I’ve just got to say as someone who’s came from Wales for a special night out to see a class band. What a night, what a venue! Thanks to everybody who was involved in making last Friday happen. Everybody in that place was absolutely fantastic. The staff, big shout out to the man who was on the door into the acid tunnel. The crowd brilliant, the atmosphere fantastic. Thank you so much for making my 1st night in Glasgow fabulous. Can’t wait until we can do it again.😃

Cosy and characterful little central pub. It’s got a few covered outside seats and a pool table. Lots of events and things going on and a nice mix of locals and passers by. Friendly staff and a good selection of draughts and fridge stock. Great pub
