Sleeperz Hotel Dundee in Dundee City

I originally posted this on Booking.com but they summarised my review. Location was brilliant, so close to the station and town centre. The staff were brilliant. We spoke to a lovely lady in reception, I think her name was Emily. We were staying for a funeral and as check in is later in the day, we would have had nowhere to get changed and freshen up. After explaining this to reception, she got the room ready as a priority and even gave me a courtesy call to let me know it was ready. I would stay here again and I would recommend this place to my friends.

Great location and gentle staff. Rooms were modern and clean, in general. The only thing which was not as clean as the others was the toilet, as you can see in the photo. In addition, the reception is on the second floor and the signs are not easy to notice at first.

It's the cleanest, most comfortable, and best hotel I've ever stayed in Europe. What was impressive was that the hotel room was very soundproof, so it was very very quiet. The water pressure in the shower was very very strong like a Japanese hotel, so I was able to wash up happily. The location is also located right at Dundee railway station, The staff is kind, too. Luggage storage services are very good.so everything is perfect.

The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, situated right next to the train station, no need to even cross the road! While the room is small, it’s spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The 24-hour reception staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay. A great bonus is the 25% discount for parking at the nearby Greenmarket car park, adding even more value to your visit.

Tested this hotel out and it was amazing! Definitely recommended.

Stayed over Christmas while visiting family, couldn't be happier, the room was spotless the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower excellent.

Nice room, good bed, great shower and nice staff.

No parking. Rude staff. Tried charging my card a few hundreds of £ after i left the hotel. When i called to ask why they try to charge my card with out letting me know. They claimed i smoked in the room which is a complete lie as i have never smoked in my entire life and i also have asthma. Plus they said that they can do that without my consent. Outrageous!!!

Due to a disturbance in the next door room.Never got a night sleep .Told reception no apology. Disappointed 😥

This was quite possibly the nicest hotel experience I have had - certainly for quite some time. The room was lovely, the ambience was friendly and the staff were lovely. Also, the location (the same building as the train station) could not have been more convenient).

TERRIBLE TO PARK AT. Drove around for 20 mins trying to find a place to park, finally when i was able to get out and ask, they sent us to a parking garage down the road. No parking on premises, park at the green market parking garage, it’s the only place they validate for. The hotel is Hard to get into, and then you have to take stairs all the way up to the reception desk, because the elevator only works with a key card. The rooms are nice, but the shower doesn’t close, so you get water everywhere, and they don’t take out all the linen, and clean it before the next person, they only clean what is on the ground…. But it is right next to the VA MUSEUM, 5 min walk

It was one of the best hotels I stayed at, a great location, super approachable staff, kind and happy to help. Recognition to Emily at the reception desk, she went above and beyond, the same goes for Nikola of housekeeping team. This was my second time staying at Dundee Sleeperz and I enjoyed every day there. The breakfast was a great start of the day and after eventful adventures it was nice to come back and relax in the comfy beds. The hotel is being kept clean top notch and it is seen throughout. It's definitely a great option if you're staying in Dundee for longer.

The hotel is beautifully located right on the water. Rooms are rather small. Toilet door doesn't close properly. You can't open the windows, you have to run the air conditioning. Stairwell cannot be used because it is locked on the 3rd floor. You always have to take the elevator. Just right for 1 night. I don't want to stay there any longer.

Modern hotel with minimalist but beautifully designed furnishings. The hotel is beautifully centrally located close to the Firth of Tay. Museums, restaurants and shopping streets can all be reached quickly from the hotel. The hotel is located directly above the new train station, but you cannot hear it in the hotel room. If you come by car there is no parking space in the building, but there is the Greenmarket car park about 200 meters away, where you can park overnight with a hotel discount for around 10 pounds. You can even unpack your suitcases behind the hotel and then take the car away, ideal for fellow travelers with walking difficulties! All in all, with friendly staff and a decent British breakfast, it's a reasonably priced place to stay!

Very clean hotel in a convenient location next to train station.

This location is extremely convenient. It is right by the train station and just across from the V&A and the Discovery exhibit. The staff greeting us on arrival was extremely friendly and helpful and even called to let us know when our rooms were ready, given that we arrived quite early (before check in of 3pm). The room is clean and there are spare pillows stacked above the cupboard for hanging up shirts.

The price seemed too good to be true. Clean, fresh and couldn’t fault it

Room was clean and modern, very comfortable. The breakfast buffet which cost £11.95 was a bit of a let down though, limited selection and the cooked food wasn't particularly pleasant. Would stay again but would get breakfast elsewhere.

I loved the location of this hotel when we recently attended CAMRA AGM and Members Weekend at Caird Hall. The rooms are clean and airy, breakfast is good, although at busy times may struggle to keep up with hot demand or the orange juice, which it appears it served from a jug rather than the machine. Storage of baggage when we arrived early was quite easy, as was the storage of our bag when we checked out at breakfast. The only downside was the issue that I had inadvertently left two bracelets in the room and only remembered as we were eating breakfast, after handing the room keys back. I told the reception lady who took a description and whereabouts of the bracelets and said that they would have to be brought down to me. I guess in other words, I was not allowed to re enter the room we had left just less than 20 minutes previously. HOWEVER, when we returned some 5 and a half hours later, I was informed that the bracelets had not been found! The same reception assistant was present and I said that I knew they had definitely been left in that room. To this there was no reply. I shall be sending my complaint when I return home. Just beware leaving anything in the room, it will mysteriously not be seen again!

Comfortable hotel, friendly staff, reasonable rates and close to city centre and attractions.

Stayed at the Sleeperz in Dundee for 3 nights for a St Andrew’s golf trip. Great alternative to the expensive option of staying in town at St A’s and a local experience in the town of Dundee. Personally used a car, but you can take the train from Edinburgh to Dundee and bus to St Andrew’s. Central spot with the station underneath and convenience store. Rooms are decent size as well. Bar at hotel is ideal for might cap. Walking distance to everything in town. Green market parking is ideal as front staff will give you 25% discount for parking, but the parking is fairly reasonable as it is. Would highly recommend.

Excellent Hotel in a great central location in the heart of Dundee. Great views. Really clean. We arrived after 1am & check in wasn't an issue at all. Friendly welcoming staff.

Great location right at railway station. Directly across from V&A and Discovery museums. 2 min walk into town centre. Very clean and good rooms.

Stayed here whilst away for work. Nice clean room and comfy bed. Breakfast was spot on. Staff were very helpful. Would definitely stop here again.

Just back from a great break at Sleeperz Dundee. Every member of staff was friendly and looked as if they enjoyed being there. The room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. The location was perfect - above the station and next door to the V&A and the Discovery and central to many amenities, restaurants, pubs, shops, etc. The buffet breakfast was excellent - quality ingredients, well cooked and hot (but no high-fibre cereal option unless I missed it). Overall a really positive experience and highly recommended.

Had a lovely stay at sleepers hotel. Room was spacious and bed was comfy. Shower had plenty of pressure and overall felt very modern and well maintained. Was also very clean. Will say the breakfast wasn't up to much.

The rooms are clean if basic but the incredibly uncomfortable thick hard pillows made sleep difficult.

My hubby and I were staying at Sleeper Hotel in Dundee for my hubby's birthday. I contacted the hotel in advance to request they put a bottle of prosecco in the room as a surprise. They did this and also they wrote him a lovely birthday card too which was so nice of them. This is the 2nd time we've stayed here and definitely won't be the last! Im so dissapointed i stayed here lastnite for my first time and not to say im shocked online this looks a stunning hotel ... i onlly booked as the apex was full which is my usual hotel. Firat of all yest the noise of a drill kept me up then the fire alarms and atound 12 midnite i heard someome twice running through the hall which really spooked me as a have bad metal healt and my type 1 diabetic partner has had a small cut on hia foot because sharp.tiles hes prone to ulcers wasnt very clean and room was small not to mention the smallness of the bathroom it saod i booked a queen room yet was a double bed the air was so stuffy voundt open a window sound proofing is terrible and very limited choice on buffet... hardly any teabags or milks in the room not even a biscit had to go buy my own toliet roll also no condition i get the room was cheapish but compared to what am uaed to apex is shockin i have bad anxiety slash disorder tried to compalin at desk but she didnt seem to care which made me more nervice im really sad hope someone ccan contact me about this from the hotel yet lady at reception yest was lovley compared to today and bar lady today was lovley rooms are nice look but not nothing to what i thought .... soundproofing is so bad wont be back :(
