Best food in the whole of Scotland, worth the wait🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👌🏾 The staff and the atmosphere was fantastic and great vibes too. The food was incredible flavour and makes me want to go to 🇹🇷 now, I would recommend getting the lamb and chicken mix plate and I really enjoyed the lamb meatball with rice 😅 I highly suggest to come here and have food here please 🙏🏾 it is a small run family business 💜

Nice Turkish restaurant with good barbecue. There is an open kitchen where you can see all the cooking and plating. These make the food even more appetizing. Service can be a bit slow when busy and the atmosphere is OK. The highlight is definitely all the lamb barbecue and you can’t go wrong with the “mixed plate”.

I think it was the evening of February 24, 4 friends from Turkey, during our visit to Edinburgh, we looked for a Turkish Restaurant for dinner and went to Rodi. First of all, we were welcomed very warmly. We placed our orders. We ate food with generous portions and tastes that would rival any kebab restaurant in Turkey. After the meal, we had a very long and pleasant conversation with the restaurant owner, Mehmet, over the tea he offered us. We talked a lot about our hometown and Üsküdar. It was one of the most enjoyable moments of the Edinburgh trip. If I ever go there again, Rodi is one of the places I will definitely visit. I also recommend it to everyone who reads this comment, just as I recommend it to everyone nearby. Definitely go, you will definitely be satisfied. If you go, send our greetings to Mehmet Abi.

Had lunch here and ordered their lamb ali nazik, good portions and tasted really amazing. Lamb couldve been more tender but overall taste is good, chips are crispy. I don't really eat salads but I finished the salad that comes with the meal, vegies are fresh. Price is a bit expensive than nearby restaurants but I can say it was worth it. Also got free dessert and tea, just lovely service. Thank you.

The food is so good it brought me back to Istanbul, even though I've never been to Istanbul. Modest place, you can see the kitchen. Very nice and friendly staffs, will gladly help you with the menu if you're not familiar.

Just had an amazing meal here. Have walked past it many times visiting family in Edinburgh and decided to give it a go. We had a selection of cold mezes with lovely warm bread . We chose the mains as mixed “grill” which came with nicely bbq meats with rice, chips and salad. Cidra (?) the waitress followed up with complementary bakavlaa and Turkish tea . The surroundings and atomosphere was made more interesting with Turkish music . Very nice place .

The place is cozy. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is vibrant. We had the cold meze for starter and tried various of the main dishes. The portions are big and fulfilling-definitely worth the price. We had traditional Turkish tea which came as a complimentary. Definitely recommend for everyone wanting to try Turkish cuisine!!!

Very moody and rude woman who serves you the food..I suggest the owner to go around and visit other Turkish restaurants which everyone knows serve hummus salad and sauces for starters including bread. Bread is an important part of any meal and chips play part as starter. I would personally donate bags of chips and bread if they can’t afford..the max price for bag of chips is £3 and they sell each portion for £5!!! If you go visit restaurants like woodygrill they will serve you bread,salad and sauces absolutely free with your main,clearly you’re looting tourists which is proven by the reviews from 2 weeks ago. Instead of bullying customers online you really should take these reviews into count and do better next time.

I went to this restaurant from London the lady on front desk was moody attitude is never good for any business had to ask for literally everything, food itself was so dry and hard chewy like plastic. They were 3 people at back who were just chatting and not attending the needs of customers

We visited during our few-day trip to Edinburgh because we missed Turkish food. It is a restaurant where you can find various Turkish dishes and delicious options. Unfortunately, I couldn't continue eating because I got a little sick during the meal. Seeing that I was unwell, the restaurant owner and his family immediately took care of me. They were with me for minutes and gave first aid. Thanks to them, I felt very relaxed and the rest of the evening went much better for me. If I had the same situation somewhere else, I don't think they would take care of me this way and I wouldn't be this lucky. I would like to thank them again from here. I hope to visit again on healthy days. 🥰

We happened to find this restaurant in search of another and we are so glad we did. My husband is from Turkey and he really enjoyed the food! That's how you know it is authentic and really delicious! We came for dinner and some drinks and decided on the Rodi special with some wine and Raki. The portions were large and the food was so tasty! We could have sat there all night, such a nice atmosphere and great music. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We ended up back again for dinner the next day on route to the airport and I'm still thinking of the delicious lamb ribs today. We will 100% return. The meze selection is so nice and such a great variety of fresh food. Suitable options for all! Thank you and see you soon!

People should avoid this place. The mixed platter was so dry and so small portions. Service was terrible. They are just ripping off tourists as they are located in the centre. So sorry to give the review but we left there almost empty stomach.

Turkish restaurant with a great family atmosphere! My friend and I walked into this little restaurant hungry after blowing the cold English wind all day. The guy who took our order was handsome. He recognized us as Chinese and said thank you☺️The chef who cooked the food was an older uncle, and he was slowly grilling meat behind the glass window. The dishes taste very good! We also ordered house wine. One glass of red and one glass of white tasted very good. We will eat here again next time we come to Edinburgh!

Overall, quite disappointed with our experience here. The meze banquet is absolutely not a banquet - please change the phrasing on your menu. £25 per person implies a reasonable amount of food, which it definitely was not. We were excited to try a range of meze, but were given a small selection of the cheapest meze items on the menu. The food itself was nice enough, but absolutely not worth the money we spent. We liked the atmosphere and the chef in the back, but the waiter was clearly not having a great day and would scowl at any new customers who came in. We did not feel welcome. We had been meaning to visit Rodi for a while and would love to give them another chance. But I believe they do not mind extorting their customers which is fundamentally not a fair or ethical way to run a business.

Overall the price seemed a little high for the quality of food and portion size. I had sucuk in appetizers which was good. The Iskander lamb wasn't similar to one I've had in other places and the portions were low. I like the presentation of chocolate ice-cream. Service could be much better if the server reached out asking if anything is needed or for the bill rather the customer calling out.

We turned up to eat in person and were swiftly welcomed by the friendly staff. The meze selection looked fantastic, but we instead took individual mains - I had the “Ottoman Special” which came in an earth-ware pot. All of the food tasted great and we both had a substantial dinner for a reasonable price. They had good vegetarian options as well. Would highly recommend. I imagine this restaurant would benefit greatly from an online reservation system and/or a clearer online menu, as their website is primarily focussed on online delivery and we weren’t sure before we turned up whether it would be busy or not! However, there is a good amount of space inside, so it wasn’t a problem for us.

I can't say that the lamb skewer was very tasty, there was a strange spice smell coming from the back. I think they added unnecessary spices while marinating the lamb skewers. But the meatballs were delicious. I definitely recommend it to those who go.
