Great place for cocktails, we have now visited twice and each time the staff were brilliant advising on the cocktail menu. The best bit for me is the bespoke option where you describe what you like and the team get excited about making something for your personal taste. We booked a table on the mezzanine which has a great view over the bar. Would highly recommend for cocktail lovers or anyone looking to try some

I was there on Thursday 12th December and spent almost £50 individually, I return on Saturday evening of 14th as a single potential customer snd was immediate r instantly turned away by door man !! Very poor !

Brilliant service from start to finish, cocktails were delicious and it was nice that the bartenders knew what they were talking about. They know their spirits and cocktails!! Didn’t have food so can’t rate that unfortunately. Special shoutout to the bartender with the cap, vans trainers and flannel shirt- didn’t manage to catch his name, but brilliant service; thank you :)

The drinks and the atmosphere are amazing, however the lady with the brown glasses kept coming to our table to ask if we wanted more drinks and if we wanted the bill. Almost every 10/15 minutes she kept coming to our table, also she was quite passive aggressive.

Loved this place. All of the staff was super friendly but my bartender, Jasmine, was exceptional. She created two bespoke drinks for me that I’m genuinely devastated I don’t know how to recreate at home. I’m traveling solo and she went above and beyond giving me recommendations (btw Howie’s on Victoria street is as good as she said it was). Something unique is that the cocktail menu is created by the bartenders, they each have a signature drink - and it makes for a very diverse and creative menu. The decor & vibes were excellent. 10/10 - I’ll be back.

This place is gorgeous, such a cool vibe. Cocktails are great and it's such a good idea to offer half glass of cocktails, it means you can try more and if you don't like it then you only have half to drink.

This bar makes eclectic and approachable cocktails for a reasonable price, and we got great service both times we went! Give the chicken and leek pie a try if you’re looking for a good snack. The environment is lively and this proved a great place to take a drink break while touring the city.

Enticed by the promise of pies, we were so happy to stumble across this beautiful bar. The beef and ale pie is delicious and every cocktail we tried was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing. Wonderful staff - kind, funny and knowledgeable. We even had a gorgeous customised Espresso Martini, mixed to perfection. Will return.

We went because we wanted a nightcap and it was right across the street from where we were staying. They had the option to make half of a cocktail so that you can try more than one, which I loved. I ordered 3 half cocktails and will be back anytime we’re ever in the area. The vibe was swanky, definitely a cool vibe.

My partner and I have been coming for a couple of years and every time it’s an absolutely wonderful experience, I’ve been meaning to review for a while! The staff are so talented and make the best cocktails I’ve ever had, even when you ask for one not on the menu it’ll still be the best version you’ll have of it! The decor/atmosphere is very cool and mysterious and they always have lovely bouncers on outside too. Kirsten especially is always a pleasure to be served by and always makes our visit a special one! We always try to come every time they change their menu, last time I had this outstanding rice based cocktail as pictured that absolutely blew my mind! Highly recommend.

Came here for a stand up comedy event. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our drink was delicious too. Loved it here!

Came post-dinner to grab a few cocktails as it was close the hotel I was staying. The guy at the door denied entry for no real reason! Felt discriminated against and won't be advising friends to visit here.

Exceptional place. Our group didn't have a booking and the bouncer out front was very friendly and checked if there was seating for us. We intended to stay just for one drink but the cocktails are some of the best I have ever had. We ended up having several. It's worth mentioning all the service staff were lovely and great. Wonderful place and I will be back!

Lovely lounge, fabulous staff, and great cocktails.

Grabbed a quick cocktail here and had a really friendly chat with the mixologists, Oreon and Nicky. Both our drinks were made beautifully and methodically, reiterating the pride they took in their service.

The staff at Dragonfly seem to be allergic to customer service, and treat their patrons with contempt. Of the 30 of so establishments I have visited in 2024, this was by far the worst. Will not be returning.

Booked for a large group and we're made to feel like we shouldn't be there. One of party got a vodka and coke, the vodka wasn't even a full 25ml measure and cost a lot

Poorly customer service , we were kicked out while we were still on our reservation time and 4 out off 4 cocktails were definetly not good, I would definitely not recommend this bar 😢

A very delightful mixology experience. The waiter is adorable, listens to your tastes, very polite. And the cocktails are original, elaborated and tasty. Don’t miss the chance to discover the smoky atmosphere of the Dragonfly!

They can make any cocktail on request, it's really nice. They even give a nice water bottle straight away without having to ask. The atmosphere and the vibe was genuinely cosy and fun. Would drink again. Certified banger.

The manager (Aaron) was great. He served us great cocktails, helped us plan our last day in Edinburgh and sold me on fresh monkeys shoulder.. I’ll be picking up a bottle tomorrow. It’s our last day tomorrow and we will be back because of him and recommending it to friends. Thank you for the great experience.

Easily the best cocktail bar in Edinburgh and a great variety of interesting cocktails. The owner was also really genuine and friendly, he came over and spoke about the suppliers they use and the story of each cocktail and its ingredients. Really nice vibe, definitely recommend going.

This place offers interesting and creative cocktails which is different from the classics. I tried a few of their fringe limited edition cocktails and they were lovely and interesting. I would definitely come back here, great atmosphere, great staff and lovely drinks.

Only popped 8n for a quick drink before a show, but very quickly bad a recommendation that fit our tastes perfectly. Quick grasshopper and bar nibbles later and our server sorted the bill out in time for a show. Comfy seating and nice decor, would go back to try more if the opportunity ity prese to itself

Great atmosphere. They have their menu with some interesting cocktails but you can just ask for the classics as well, we got a Old Fashioned and a Amaretto Sour. Both were good!

Nice little bar. Came for the comedy night but had a drink before we went in. Their cocktails were not ones you’d usually see, but really nice, so I’d encourage you to try one you wouldn’t usually go for!

Worst experience ever!! Rude staff who were not welcoming at all. The venue was empty when we visited, we were the only customers in there and still such poor service, no wonder people don’t support them. 2 very unfriendly men working there. Would not recommend. There are so many other wonderful cocktail pubs in Edinburgh - Don’t plan a trip here, you will regret it and waste your money.

Perfectly blended and imaginative drinks, great atmosphere with good music choice and staff who go above and beyond to ensure a great visit.

Just the job for proper grown up cocktails. My wife had one off menu, but I wanted something not listed- not a problem. Relaxed but smart feel. Would return.

One of the best cocktail place in Edinburgh! They do real mixology cocktails, the menu is frequently changed and it is designed by the staff. The bar is pretty, the staff is very friendly and skilled. It’s very good price for value!

The place is really nice and there is a chill yet sophisticated atmosphere. I didn't particularly enjoy my two cocktails but I guess this was on me making the wrong choices, given that everyone else loved theirs. I find it a bit pricey relatively to the "size" as I often had better larger drinks for the same "size" at couple restaurants in the city centre.

Super Tasty coctails . Could have been a bit bigger

Loved the service and the drinks. But to be followed out of the bar and accused of not paying was completely unacceptable! Went back inside and pointed out the chap who had just taken payment. Then got a muttered apology which was not sufficient. WONT be back to be treated this way

Spent a lovely evening there with talkative bartenders and excellent cocktails. It was not too crowded, which is also a plus.
