My partner and I stayed for the night with dinner and breakfast and it was perfect.
Check-in was friendly and efficient, rooms are spacious, VERY clean and have everything you need.
Dinner was absolutely faultless. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was outstanding. We were never left waiting for anything and ALL of the staff were fantastic.
We both slept well, comfortable bed and no noise from the road.
Breakfast was delicious, again outstanding service and we were made to feel at home.
Views from the room and the restaurant were beautiful. A perfect location for a relaxed night away from home.
A la llegada nos informó el Gerente que, “llegamos tarde”. Llegamos 7 minutos después de la hora de reserva debido al tráfico. Realmente no tan tarde...
Friendly efficient staff served us all up a hot tasty meal, which everyone enjoyed. This restaurant is in the centre of town, but is a hidden gem. I didn't even know it was there. Choice on the menu exceeded expectations and several different dishes were ordered. Lots of Cinese Families were eating which is always a good sign. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
There was one sting in the tail. One of our party couldn't eat all her meal and asked for a doggy bag. Her meal was put into two plastic containers for her to take home. When we got the bill, we saw that we had been charged 30p each for the containers and 10p for the carrier bag. First time ever have I been charged for a doggy bag. Be aware......
Mid week excellent menu well presented. Interesting, pigs head croquettes, brilliant flavour. Venison great. Macaroni and cheese piping hot as was the fish and chips. In all great food in pleasant restaurant.
Really enjoyed our meal at The Haven.
Mussels were lovely, and fresh.
Ox cheeks melted in your mouth. Served on mushrooms with rustic mash, parsnips and a lovely rich Herby jus. 👍
Having arrived in Mallaig with the Jacobite Steam Train, we stopped over in this small, cozy place for lunch. Little did we know of the seafood-fest that would await us. The waiter was super friendly and competent, the fish was fresh and delicious (we had the battered monkfish with chips, hake in a buttery sauce and the langoustines which came in a very, very generous portion. The perfect lunch!
Stopped for a piece of cake and a cup of tea. It was a lovely, easy quick stop on our journey and we enjoyed it very much. The almond and cherry cake was delicious.
Waited ages for starters. When they came the portion size of the Arancini was minuscule.
The main course was even longer , then they brought one of my son’s dish but not the other two we ordered. Then they took this away because it was too long a wait. The excuse was that the Chicken milanese wasn’t cooked properly.
They left the garlic bread , so it was cold when we started eating.
My son had the beef ragu tagliatelle tasted practically the same as my pasta in the Milanese.
Sorry , I won’t be back.
