Victoria's Restaurant & Coffee Shop in Perth & Kinross

For what seemed to be quite a posh establishment, we were left wanting by dinner's end. The drink selection was limited, and this included their scotch/whisky list. The chicken added to the Caesar salad was dry and tough. The rump roast of lamb that I had was a rather small portion for the price, and was so smothered in the reduction that it was tough to just enjoy the lamb for being lamb. As for service... much was left to be desired. Wasn't bad... but we weren't impressed either. Overall... beautiful setting in quaint little village of Potlochry, but everything else about it was 'meh'.

The food was lovely here. There was no added service charge which was great (seems like the bare minimum but you’d be surprised how many restaurants do this so it was lovely so see it here!). Our server was also very nice. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, was a bit hot but we were also right next to the fireplace. We all had gotten pasta - the dish was delicious and the portion size was great too.

My family and I booked here for an early evening dinner whilst visiting Pitlochry. Immediately we were warmly welcomed and treated wonderfully by the whole team. The food was delicious and our waitress was an expert at keeping our toddler entertained (no easy task!). Great food, great location and exceptional service. We will hopefully return . Decent. Not exceptional. Had to request cheese with Fajitas, and also more side sauces. Its always recommend when serving a meal, ask if they're anything else you can do... saves diners waving like muppets to ask for cheese on a busy sat night. Table next to me asked too, so maybe take a hint?

The quality of the food was excellent—everything was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. We ordered the Tofu Katsu, onion rings, cauliflower and cheese soup, and a tomato, mozzarella, and pesto sandwich, followed by sticky toffee pudding for dessert, and every dish was delicious. The Tofu Katsu was beautifully cooked—soft and airy on the inside with a crisp coating. The onion rings were light and not too oily, just perfect. The cauliflower and cheese soup was rich and full of flavor, a real comfort dish. The sandwich was wonderfully cheesy and satisfying. And to top it all off, the sticky toffee pudding was a generous portion and absolutely amazing! The service was just as good as the food—the staff were incredibly friendly and cheerful, making us feel very welcome. While the prices are on the higher side, that seems to be the norm in Pitlochry, and the quality here makes it worth it. Would highly recommend and will definitely return!

Booked for Saturday dinner. We were seated promptly. Fair choice on menu without being excessive. We both had prawn and avocado salad, followed by one duck breast, one belly pork. Then we both had Affogato. All of it was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed the whole experience and will return if we can. Thoroughly recommended.

Clean place, friendly staff, we had bacon breakfast roll and a black pudding and scrambled eggs breakfast roll. Honestly, this was the biggest and most generous breakfast roll I have ever had. The roll itself was a bit on the dry side for my taste but oh my god the black pudding (and it was the Stornoway Black Pudding which in my opinion is the best there is) the slice was mega thick, cooked to perfection (THE absolute highlight of my day). The scrambled eggs also cooked to perfection they were firm but not overcooked. It could have done with some more seasoning, but I am generally a very salty eater, so it might be spot-on for your taste. I was told by my frien that he loved his bacon roll too. The Bacon was cooked exactly how he likes it. So the only reason I didn't give 5 stars but only 4 is not because of the roll or the eggs. It is because of the coffee I had afterwards. The coffee blend they are using was absolutely not my cup of tea. It had no flavour. It was really weak only after the 3rd or 4th sip I tasted the coffee. I couldn't finish it. But I really wanna go back there and try something else of the menu because if the rest is as good as my black pudding and egg this would be the perfect place to go and have a nice meal out. So please help me and give it a try, guys, and let me know what you ate and how it was because I don't really get to go very often to Pitlochry. Thanks guys

We visited for Valentines night and had a great meal and experience. The staff were great the food tasted excellent and there was a great atmosphere. I would recommend to everyone.

We loved this restaurant. We arrived around lunch time on a Sunday and there were only us and another couple sitting down, which would normally be a red flag but we decided to give it a go anyway. We were greeted straight away by a lovely gentleman who seated us. He came back and took our order promptly, the place started to fill up but the service never dipped. The food was delicious, I had the soup of the day which was a vegetable broth and it was perfect for a cold day. My husband had the scampi which came with a delicious tartare sauce and side salad. Service was quick but not rushed. There was a lovely relaxing atmosphere and had we not had to get back on the road to drive again we would have stayed longer. I will definitely be going back when we next visit Pitlochry.

Me and my husband visited Pitlochry for an overnight and went to Victoria's for dinner. The food was delicious with big portions and the desserts were lovely with lots of choice. We also had the house lager which we both enjoyed. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a very nice dining experience

My fiancé and I have now been twice, the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was served in good time and was delicious. We also didn’t find the prices too steep either, especially for Pitlochry. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, for couples, families (even if you have young children) and friends.

We were initially hopeful when we arrived, as the atmosphere seemed nice, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The food was the biggest letdown. My partner ordered the steak, which was dry and overcooked despite being ordered medium rare. To make matters worse, it came with no sides—we had to order those separately at an extra cost. I went for the pasta, expecting something fresh and flavorful, but it was bland, watery, and tasted like it came out of a packet. For the price, we were expecting much better quality. It felt like the ingredients were cheap. Even the drinks were overpriced for what they were. To finish, the bill included an item we hadn’t even ordered, which we had to ask to be corrected. No apology, just a quick adjustment. Overall, the meal was overpriced and disappointing. Definitely not worth a return visit.

We had a lovely dining out experience here. We'd booked in to have a meal while spending New Year in Pitlochry. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We're returning to Pitlochry in the summer and will definitely visit Victoria's again.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here. Had the salmon fillet and it was AMAZING. My vegan daughter had a lovely crispy tofu katsu curry and her mum had the breaded haddock. Would recommend all of the above. Open fire was lovely on cold windy rainy day. Service was top notch too.

Called in on 29/11/24 for coffee & scones during a coach stop. Lovely place, lovely (large, fresh) scones and lovely coffee and hot chocolate, for a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, didn't get the name of our server but he was friendly and good craic. Toilets were spotless. Would definitely be back if in Pitlochry again!!

We love this restaurant. We come every time we visit Pitlochry, and it just gets better with each visit. Beautiful meals. Really hearty food that keeps you full for hours. The latest visit was in November, and it was properly cold. We'd been travelling for hours and just needed food. It was mid afternoon. The restaurant was lovely and warm and so inviting and Christmassy. We had the tastiest food, and it perked us right up. The staff are just lovely. So attentive and friendly and bend over backwards to make your visit special. You must go here. It's just a wonderful place ❤️

Just the loveliest wee place with incredibly accommodating staff! They could not have been more welcoming and went out of their way to look after our little girl. The food was tasty and good value for money which coupled with exceptional service made for a super experience.

I recently dined at Victoria's while visiting Pitlochry and was pleased that they still have fajitas on the menu from when I have visited in previous years. The fajitas were delicious and the service was excellent. If there was any criticism to be made, I would say it lacks ambience. Personally I prefer quieter music and a cosy atmosphere.

The starters we had were brilliant, the duck for the main was superb, but my husband had the Tuscan sausage pasta which we both tried and agreed was incredibly bland. For nearly £20 for a pasta dish it really was unacceptable. The service was brilliant and the waiting staff very friendly.

Stopped by for brunch. We had eggs Benedict and the French toast. Both were great. Our server Deepak was a pro.

Had a lovely family meal here after climbing Scheihallion. Staff kindly kept our table despite our late arrival. Food was splendid. One surprise was that despite being "Seasonal Scottish Fare" I wasn't able to order Haggis Neaps and Tatties. Toilets clean. You need to find somewhere to park as it's right in the centre of Pitlochry.

Our party were so late down the mountain that we were afraid we wouldn't make it to the restaurant BUT the staff not only kept our spaces for a big party but served us quickly and cheerfully with delicious meals - amazing experience THANK YOU. Of course we will be back ( we hope, on time!)

Nice welcome. Friendly. Sadly - my food order had a massive black hair in it. I know it can happen but I hope when I go to a restaurant that extra care is given. I wasn’t able to enjoy my food after that. Pizza was okay nothing particularly special.

I had an excellent Rip-Eye steak, and the lady who served me was very polite and respectful. The prices are on the premium side, though.

Our second time visiting this restaurant and it was well worth the visit. They made our anniversary meal extra special with some flowers for us to keep and being so attentive and friendly. I have to say one waiter, I think his name was Deepak (so sorry if that is wrong!), was so lovely, chatty and attentive! You could tell her really loved engaging with customers and making sure everyone was having a lovely time, thank you Deepak! The food was gorgeous and really reasonably priced, the atmosphere was also really warm, welcoming and lovely. We will definitely be back for another visit next time we pass through Pitlochry!

By far the best lamb I have had in years, perfectly cooked and the flavours worked so well. The atmosphere was very good, for a small place it was very busy, maybe because of the enchanted Forrest being on that evening. All in all would definitely recommend as everything went perfectly from beginning to end and we left very happy with the food and the service.

We ordered a pasta dish & a ceasar salad , my husband stated there was no flavour at all in the pasta & the chicken was over cooked & was impossible to chew, I had the same problem with the chicken in my salad . The waiter was very sympathetic & offered us different foods, we both declined & he removed the cost of the pasta from our bill

Had trouble as a Scotsman in a scots town being understood as the staff didn't speak very much English was not impressed.

FABULOUS!! We had a wonderful early evening meal at Victoria’s. The staff were absolutely brilliant and made our miniature Dachshund so welcome, with loads of fuss and treats for him. Our meal was excellent - really well cooked and presented. The service was first class and we were made to feel very much at home. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience we really appreciated it and you made it such good fun. 🏆🐾

My Wife and I went to Victoria's on the 1st night of our Honeymoon. Hand on heart this is easily one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The staff were amazing and the food was off the scale. Thank you all so much and we will be back in the future.

Had ham and cheese on ciabatta with a side of fries (not included with sandwich). Bread was excellent, cheese was thick and ham skimpy. 4 stars are for fries which were excellent, crispy on outside and fluffy on inside. Setting is wonderful.

We ate very well here. The service was very friendly. No one was turned away even though the restaurant was full.

Haggis Bon Bons are a must! We have been a couple of times now and always ordered these, they have slightly changed the recipe this year but has improved what was already a tasty dish! Main meals and drinks are always fantastic and staff always welcoming.

Four of us went for dinner before going to the theatre at 5pm. The staff were friendly and helpful in what was a busy Saturday evening. Three of us enjoyed our main courses of fish and scampi but the Perthshire lamb had several grisly pieces and the sauce killed the lamb flavour. The dessert courses were good. The main courses averaged around £18 to £25 which is average for a busy tourist resort. Overall we would probably return again.

Great place for dinner with friends or family however make sure to book as this is a popular place. Next time we're in Pitlochry we'll definitely be back and have recommended to family going up to visit in a few weeks.

Reasonably regular guest, most often I pop in just for a glass of wine and sit outside so as not to cause a fuss or take up a table. Went in this evening to do just that and was told, sorry, no, just food tonight. On a much cooler, 11 degree and overcast evening with multiple empty seats outside. Shame, went next door and was enthusiastically welcomed!

Quaint brunch place in a nice little town.

We are up in Pitlochry for a short break. We were here a few weeks ago and enjoyed it so much we are back. The last time we came for breakfast. This time breakfast and two dinners. The food is excellent. However, it's not just about the food. All the staff are amazing. One of the guys remembered that my Wife had toast the last time we were in. That was 3 weeks ago! You can have the best food in the world, if you have bad staff then the food doesn't really matter. We will be back in for breakfast tomorrow and will definitely be back. Thanks, you have helped make my stay even better. If you come to Pitlochry, give Victorias a try. You will not be dissappointed.

The food was some of the best I have had in Scotland. The Haddock wasn't dripping in fat, but was beautifully baked with sea salt and a delicious salad. Good beer and a nice selection of wines. Absolutely within the price range. I can only recommend it, especially since the waiter from Nepal was extremely accommodating.

My 3rd visit this year. This time I came with 14 year old grandson who has a variety of food allergies. This is THE place to go in Pitlochry if you have food allergies. The selection on offer is very wide. We each had three courses. All the staff were very attentive and helpful in choosing suitable dishes. The service was excellent and the food first class. We are going to the Festival Theatre later in the year and will again book Victorias for our evening meal.

Very nice experience in this restaurant which offers a fairly varied cuisine. The dishes were very generous and delicious and despite the crowds, the staff were very friendly and smiling. The only downside was the rather noisy atmosphere but we were there on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was full.

Went in a large family group and the staff were incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They proactively went above and beyond to make the meal special. Menu was good with lots of interesting dishes and food kids options.

They seemed busy but all three courses arrived really quickly. I'm told the Haggis balls were tasty, and my medium rare ribeye was fantastic. Staff were friendly.

Enjoyed dinner here with my family of six. The restaurant was able to accommodate us without a booking. Service was friendly and efficient. Food quality and taste was very good and was value for money. My only minor observation would be the pastry served with the steak pie. It’s was cooked separate to the tasty and generous pie filling yet it was so flaky it was difficult to eat. Overall, highly recommended and next time we are in Pitlochry we will be sure to return. This is surely of the better restaurants in the area. The food is sumptuous and the portion sizes are generous but not too much for one person. I love my Caesar salad! All the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. We ordered some Italian dishes which were tasty. Overall the entire dinner experience was nice. As can be said for the entire area, the view and the location is particularly good! The service is courteous and fairly quick. My husband loved the scotch selection too! It was quite difficult to find parking though.

Nothing to say about the welcome of the staff but as much as the menu seems tempting with a diverse offering that reminds you of your classics (pizzas, avocado and shrimp, mushroom soup, Caesar salad with chicken at extra cost!), so does the result on arrival. is disappointing, and the price is de facto exorbitant. A place to eat out of necessity rather than pleasure.
