Amazing food - service was excellent and with a big smile.

First time eating here, took my mum the place was a little cold but I don’t mind, the cost of living is affecting us all and I appreciate the struggle is real. The food was very good and the service too which really matters. I had steak it was tastier than it looked sometimes appearance’s can be deceiving 😉

Friendly and efficient staff, a comfortable and stylish environment, and some interesting veggie options. The goats cheese arancini and sweet potato gnocchi were both delicious.

Glad to say better than the first visit. Fillet steak was spot on, Venison was delicious. Steak pie was tasty, only negative was puff pastry wasn't puff and not cooked enough for me. Service fantastic. Went on a Saturday night and it was jumping. Menu diverse, unfortunately they had ran out of Sirlion steak, by 7.30. Feather steak was melt in the mouth, 2 T-bone steaks also ordered, neither came out as ordered. Soup was delicious. As was the raspberry sorbet that accompanied the cheesecake. Service good have been better, hoping it's just teething problems. The atmosphere was good, decor is fantastic, unfortunately tge only photos I took was in the toilets. Would return.

We stopped here for lunch today but will not be back. The service was slow beyond belief. We ordered drinks which we had to wait forever coming and the lager&lime had far too much lime added and was undrinkable. The second round which included a lager without lime this time, and a cocktail we almost gave up on and when my husband reminded the waitress it was clear they had forgotten we had ordered! When the drinks came the wrong cocktail was brought. It was rasberry instead of rhubarb. When the main course eventually came, which was steak pie, it was good, no complaints but when we ordered dessert it took an eternity to get served and then we didn't get what we ordered from the Sunday lunch menu which was apple crumble. What we got was some sort of red berry crumble saturated with cinnamon which we could not eat . We complained about it but the waitress did not care. Her words were "Oh im sorry, is that not apple?" then took the dishes away without any offer of discount whatsoever. I do not recommend this restaurant to anybody and certainly will not be back.

Booked for lunch and so glad we did. Great food and good service with pleasant helpful staff. Nice surroundings and an excellent choice of both food and drinks. We will definitely be back again.

Favourite spot for steak in town now. Chateaus are incredible as well as the cocktail selection. Highly recommend

So first time eating here and it was amazing, started of haggis bonbons were divine with lovely sauce. Mains I had the braised feather blade steak and it was melt in the mouth and so full of flavour, hubby had the venison loin with black pudding mash, which was extremely tender and tasty, we ended with the dark chocolate fondant with blood orange sorbet, which was heavenly. Staff were very nice and friendly especially Breagh, only didn’t give 5 stars to atmosphere as we were seated next to work station which was a bit inconvenient. Would definitely go again

Went with some friends for a catch up, we had a good meal and good service. I thought the food was better than the average in Perth but not the best you can find in Perth. It was nice though, we had a lovely server, he was attentive but not overbearing and very nice. I would recommend it if you are looking for something a little nicer than a usual meal without being crazy expensive, but don't expect fantastic.

Went for lunch on Friday. Can't complain about anything. Drinks order taken straight away, we had a cocktail which was fantastic. Food was excellent and delicious. The wine was well chilled and a lovely Pinot. The staff were very efficient and helpful. The restaurant had a good buzz about it and was cosy. Would highly recommend. Oh and prices are reasonable

Sat at bar with wine drinks.fascinated by barman and lady making a lot of cocktails for people.my brother in law decided to have one and gave me a sip.it was delicious! We all ended up having several.great selection great drinks great atmosphere.thoroughly recomend

Beautiful Christmas eve lunch,with our family. Everyone's food was amazing,absolutely delicious, presented beautifully, & piping hot. Staff all very friendly & professional. 1st visit, but definitely will be back again.

What a lovely drinks and dinner we had here. Very attentive staff, some beautiful wine and cocktails, and each of us were delighted with our meals. There's lots on the menu to choose from and ranges from the classics (burger, fish and chips, pizza) to proper steaks and lovely scallops. The parmesan and truffle fries were divine and the cheesecake was just fantastic. We topped off our meal with a delicious cocktail. Very pleasant indeed and will be back soon.

We were looking forward to lunch here as we had previously popped in for a drink and been pleasantly surprised by the good service and nice atmosphere. There were a couple of items not available on the lunch menu, which the waiter only told us after we had made our choices - very annoying. Starter of scallop & black pudding was good. The steak pie was tasty but mash was not hot enough. The burger was OK but overcooked. The dining room was cold - kindly provide some auxiliary heating if the radiators are not working! Looking at previous comments on this site, it appears that no lessons have been learned. The restaurant is in a prime site and this could be a great venue - please do not get complacent!!

11 December 23. Booked Table 3 weeks ago for lunch 1.30pm. When we sat at our table we were immediately told we could not give our food order until at least 10 minutes because kitchen was stowed out! I explained we had booked 3 weeks ago, so it should not be a surprise. He said everyone booked at the same time! FYI - The restaurant was half full and I could see 2 people interestingly sat at their table through the back with their winter coats on! I asked did they have a Christmas Menu and he said not at lunchtime. (On checking this when I got home, the Christmas Menu shows as being available throughout December and makes no mention of not being available at lunchtime!!) We had to ask for olives to pass the time whilst we had our drinks. We were not offered anything during the wait. Food came. Tasted fine. Had 2 burgers. My friend’s plate had a large piece of plastic in the food (3-4 inch plastic) like the rim of a tub. We were both shocked and felt icky at thought! Menu was never explained to us in beginning. We were not offered the Menu again for puddings. We decided to ask for Bill, and have coffee and a sweet thing elsewhere. We complained about the plastic and after the waiter went to the kitchen, we were given the one burger meal free. We left and 30 minutes later my friend had a severe unexpected bout of sickness and diarrhoea. Was it down to our meal, I don’t know… All in all it was not a great experience. I won’t be in a rush to come back unfortunately.

The initial welcome was very poor, awkward even. The service was slow, a poor young girl was under pressure with too much to deal with leaving her service very poor. (Not her fault) We had some food that was very over cooked but no one came back to check everything was okay. At the end of the meal I had mentioned this but no apology or attempt to rectify it. We had to go to the bar to get the bill and wait to pay, I had mentioned the issue to who I think was in charge, he was less than bothered. I refused to pay for the dish that was inedible and he was pretty rude in his response. Overall it was terrible experience, especially as it was a friends birthday. I left disappointed and hungry.

Dropped in for lunch....it was lovely...superb seafood salad that was just right in size and perfect in quality...service was just right too...a great "find"....Good price too....

Visited Saturday afternoon. Place was quite busy but several available tables. Wine ordered arrived promptly but food took longer. On arrival was tasty and nice size portions, well presented.Serving staff could be friendlier though manager (I think) was very good. Real downside for me was the place was chilly which obviously affects the ambiance. So maybe turn up heating a little.

Needs more atmospheric lighting. Really cold feeling and not comfy for drinks. Staff were awesome though. We didn't eat but had drinks and cocktails. Wouldn't advertise as a bar as cold and uncomfortable.

A wee gem. Great cocktails, very cool place to just hangout and relax with really good music playing in the background. Dinner is also very impressive, with a nice variety of choices - try the t-bone steak, delicious and not too overwhelming. Lovely friendly staff.

Gave 5 stars because I can't leave 6. Made new friends along the way and will never forget the charm of the bar staff

No complaints about anything had the macaroni cheese, it was delicious and a cheeky bottle of wine, love the decor.

Went out for a meal with my wife and we both had an amazing time. The staff couldn't do more for you and were very accommodating with my wife's dietary requirements.

Very disappointed. We popped in for mid week lunch, seated in an empty restaurant, yet still we waited for at least 15 mins before they came to take order/drinks. We then waited a further 45 mins before our food arrived. I ordered a toasted ciabatta because they run out of bread for a toasted sandwich! Toasted it was not, It consisted of lukewarm ciabatta, tasteless.cheese with chutney which had saturated the bread making it very unpleasant to eat, assumed that it had sat whilst my other half’s main was being prepared. Steak pie, decent enough, however, served with a dollop of lukewarm mash which had been infused with garlic not mentioned on the menu! As well as the lukewarm veg. Considering the wait time there was no excuse for any of it to be anything but hot. All I can add is style over substance, over priced and appalling wait time especially as we were the only two there. Not somewhere I’d recommend or return.

Popped in for one drink after work and stayed for a few hours. Warm welcome, gorgeous setting and delicious drinks. The barman (Ewan) recommended the weekly cocktail special “spiced apple margarita” and wow, absolutely stunning. We might not have stayed as long, but both staff members were great chat and we really enjoyed our visit. 12/10

A great place for drinks or food. Lovely atmosphere, cool music soundtrack and friendly and welcoming staff. We had drinks on the front bar and the bar staff were amazing, with mocktail recommendations for the designated driver and perfect service. We'll be back!

Have to start by saying very nice welcome and great looking place. That is where it ended. The place was very quiet but we were sat at the back out asked for a drinks order should have know then wasn’t good idea as they couldn’t give us what we asked for no draft beers then no Peroni. The drinks did come after that but then we were just left these sitting for 30 mins with no one coming and asking us anything. So at that time thought best just to leave. When the serviette did arrive asked got the bill and they didn’t seem to bothered anyway if we stayed or not so asked for the bill and was given that for the drinks. At no stage was there an apology or anyone caring why we were leaving as if it was normal. Maybe it was the norm but not for what I would expect. I am sure this is a great place but they need to be more customer focused. I do know I will not visit when back in Perth. This is just my findings and I do hope you have a better experience

Didn't know what to expect as I'd hear mixed reviews but it was very good. Food was piping hot and very tasty. Friendly attentive staff, nice atmosphere and nicely decorated. Will definitely be back.

Great pub lunch with some friends from out of town. Delicious prawn and scallop salad, and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back for more.

Popped in for some lunch, the ciabattas were delicious and well worth £9, the coleslaw and salad accompaning them were very tasty. We also enjoy a nice local Ossian beer which went down lovely. Excellent service with really friendly staff. There is a restaurant or less formal bar area where we sat, you can also just go on for drinks. Will definitely be back.

Great place for lunch, delicious food, lovely helpful staff and a really nice atmosphere. Cool restaurant decor and really friendly and welcoming. Shared a delicious Baba Ganoush starter and enjoyed the Moroccan Chicken Salad main. Reasonable prices and a really central location. It was our first visit but will definitely be back soon.

Came here about a month ago. We had just moved to Perth and my husband selected this restaurant as a special treat. It truly is beautiful! Particularly the loos, oddly. I had the steak pie and my husband had the "fish and chips". The steak pie was glorious until about half way through, when I realized that the salt in it continued to build. Mind you, I LIKE salt. But after awhile it was just too salty to continue eating. I have to say that it really was extraordinarily delicious up to that point. Maybe the best I have ever had. My husband had the fish and chips, which was not what he expected. I cannot recall how it was described on the menu, but it is not what you would normally expect. He did say it was very good, however. I understand that they had not been open long, and maybe they had some growing pains. The servers, while nice, were not at all attentive. We finished our drinks and were trying to catch the eye of the servers to order another round. Two stood and were talking to each other (gossiping) for NO JOKE about 10 minutes. We failed to order a second drink, but managed to get the attention of a third server to ask for some water and the bill (remember, salt!). The bill came, but not the water. This has everything to become a fabulous restaurant, and I am certainly willing to give it a go again. Staff needs more training and/or better supervision. Hope they keep the steak pie the same and just cut back a little on the salt. Would be a great place for a romantic date, special occasion, or just a really good meal!

Walked in at 7:30pm and the interior is absolutely beautiful, gorgeous place. We were sat and asked for drinks quickly, we ordered food around 7:45pm, but we didn’t receive our food until 9pm, which we actually had to wait for our starter after our mains, the staff were Absolutely lovely and really felt apologetic about the situation, the manager was so nice and honestly saved the experience, but when I received my main (Steak pie) it was very salty and I had to send it back and order something else, I got the Mac and cheese, which was great! Ordered some cocktails to end the night and was fantastic, really felt professional, for the £100 Overall (wasn’t offered any discount for the night) the food and the wait really disappoints, but the staff and the atmosphere really bring it back, would love to give this a second try! 2.5/5

I had been here for dinner with friends it was lovely. I decided treat my mum to lunch for her birthday since it had started opening all day. We went with my two children aged 11 and 12 and when we went in were told that they don't serve children under 14! Apparently the same rules as cafe Biba although I remember taking my children there for pancakes so that's a little confusing. It does not say anywhere that children are not allowed, not on the website, Facebook, Instagram, in the restaurant itself. Very disappointing, won't be back.

Came only for cocktails (not food) and staff very friendly and knowledgeable about drinks offer tonnes of drinks not on the menu. Great quality drinks, amazing central location and cool interior. Definitely recommend to visit!!

Most of our party ordered pizza and the bases were overcooked. We complained and the staff said it was because the bases are so thin. They were perfectly nice about it, but we were still expected to pay the full amount despite the food being sub par. The macaroni cheese was not very nice, tasted like cheap plastic cheese. Not good value for money

Had a lovely meal here on a very busy Saturday night. It's only recently opened and really clear that a lot of time and thought has gone into the menu, and the decor (the loos are v pretty 😉). Amazing food and really friendly knowledgeable staff. All our food arrived promptly, despite the place being packed. I recommend the feather steak (sooo tender) and the boozy sorbets 🥰

Amazing food! Starter, main and dessert so unique and delicious!! Highly recommend the haddock and prawn main! Melt in your mouth deliciousness!! Atmosphere great, so nice to see a busy, booked up restaurant with a great buzz about it. Music was great, setting a relaxed but up beat mood. Stunning decor, modern and cosy feels. great cocktails and staff super friendly. So so good 10/10. So nice to see an independent restaurant do it THIS GOOD!! Every detail is lush!! Had a fantastic Sunday dinner tonight! All the food is so fresh and made in-house. The beef was melt in your mouth good and the Sticky toffee pudding was the best I've had! Booked dinner here for 2 as liked the look of the place from the outside and the menu looked tasty. Very happy with the choice - the food was delicious and we had 2 decent sized courses. Service was excellent, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend it - looked like a great place to go as a small group of friends too.

First visit tonight . Service was good as was food. Couple of teething things to sort …. One of our party was going to have a cup of Tea at end of meal to be told there was no tea there was a problem with tea delivery !?! Am sure M&S or Tesco round corner would help out ! Our vegetarian friend was given a meat burger instead of the Vegan one in error but was quickly rectified . Might also be nice to offer water as a matter of course ! Will be back as am sure just teething problems x

Very disappointed with our experience tonight. Incredibly slow service, the menu is poorly written, drinks order was wrong, food was bland and nothing special and I got two small scoops of ice cream for £6! What a disappointment. Will not be coming back

As someone who worked in a great gastro pub in London 20 years ago, it's fantastic to see that Perth has finally caught up with the rest of the world! A great alternative to the typical old man pub that Perth does so well! Simple food done very well, and at a competitive price. As a quality cider drinker it was nice to find an Aspells there, but it would be nice to have a veriety of other proper ciders - not that awful fruit juice like so many places sell! I was asked by Ewan to give feedback at the end of our visit, which I did, and it was all very possessive, but it slipped my mind to mention that, assuming you are a Freehouse, it would also be great to have some quality craft beers, Belgian beers and perhaps some Bavarian weiss beers, to offer some proper alternatives to cooking lager. You can get them all in every single supermarket, so Perth people do drink them! I know I do, and would! We're booked in for Sunday roast today, and we can't wait!
