My partner had the fish supper and I had the pizza.good crispy batter on the fish.chips were fine and enjoyed the pizza.even had a pint while waited.

Brilliant set up, food and bar staff super friendly, doing a great job keeping a small business running in a small village, food is great, service fantastic and always welcoming. Keep it going !

The pizza's are excellent 👌 Always fresh and hot! 😉 The chippy is great too. Never had a bad meal from this place and I have been coming here time and time again. Great customer service and the staff are great, work really well and hard to make the food that you order. So I will highly recommend Food in the Park to anyone visiting, passing or staying in Blair Atholl! 😀

This is such an amazing wee fish and chip shop. Such great service and the staff are so friendly. They have so many chooses to choose from, including stone baked pizza 😍 On the inside there is a little bar with music and TVs amazing venue so welcoming if I could I would give this place a 100/5!!!

I had a pizza and my partner had chips and cheese and a long rib. I honestly don’t think I’ve rather such an awful pizza.. it looked like a 3 year had made it and it was dried out and overcooked.. awful. My partners kind rib was also overcooked. Over priced sub standard food.. avoid at all costs.

Chips not great tasting, possibly re-heated and not hot. Female member of staff taking order was rather curt to the point of being rude when taking order. Have previously used this restaurant and service, quality not as good as it used to be. Date of visit 21/8/24 about 7pm.

I'd like to preface this by saying I've been camping in Blair Atholl for over 30 years and have visited Food In The Park a handful of times each year since it's inception. Before today, my last visit was around March/April 2024 and I recall an error with our order but not enough that we were bothered by it too much/went through the hassle of writing a review about it. My experience with Food In The Park until today had been overwhelmingly positive. Today I went in with my wife and mother and the first thing I witnessed was the fryer saying 'and you sat there and said nothing?' to a customer who had come forward and asked where their order was. It transpired that they'd placed an order for collection @ 17:30 and it was now 17:50 and was now only about to be cooked. Fine, whatever, nothing to do with me. We placed an order of a sausage supper, smoked sausage IN BATTER supper (for myself and my wife) and a can of vimto with a girl maybe in her 20s with blone/red ish hair. As she was inputting it in the till, I reconfirmed the order, stressing IN BATTER for the smoked sausage - I want to say it was order 43 although this could be incorrect. We were told it would be some time and to wait, our order would be called. Around this time, a young man came through from the other part of the shop with a hot drink for customer who'd been waiting for some time. I overheard him and the girl who'd served us chat about how there was a different order of hot drinks which had been placed but had been missed. We'd only just stepped out of the shop when we noticed the receipt read something like 'sausage supper, smoked sausage - chips' - my mother went back into query this as she'd been in the night before and there had been an error with her order. My mother advised that the same girl who'd just served us spoke condescendingly and made her aware that it was not minus chips, it was the way it's entered into the till and that it was the same as a supper. Ok, fine, we just wanted to make sure the order was correct. 10-15 minutes went by and our order was called - my mother went to collect this whilst I was sat outside on a bench. She was served by the same young man who'd come from the other part of the shop earlier. My mother checked the order and the smoked sausage in batter was missing the batter. When my mother pointed this out, she was met with attitude and was advised that 'we don't have time to rectify mistakes'. The order was clarified twice at point of sale and my mother went in to query the order. We decided to eat our food as we were hungry - it was decent, 6/10. Fast forward an hour or 2 and my mother has went back in to place a different order for other family members. My mother was met with an apology from the girl who'd originally served her today, advising it had been her fault earlier and that she'd gotten the order wrong. Well, my mothers newest order is wrong again. My mum's had enough, that's 3/3. She asks for a refund, is told to f off and that they (Food In The Park) were sick of people complaining. We've been able to identify that the individual was Sally Judd - she told my mother that she was trespassing and that she was the owner of the place. My mother claims there were no other adults in the shop at this time, only children who appeared to be uncomfortable and this is possibly why she'd deem is acceptable to speak to a returning customer this way. Although it's possible this is an isolated event on a bad day but regardless, this is a terrible way to treat customers and Sally should be embarrassed by the actions of herself and her staff. Ironically, before today, I'd actually said to my mum on numerous occasions to buy the place. It's up for sale, she's got a background in catering and loves the area. After today, she's said she won't step foot in the place until the business changes hands.

My family have been visiting this chippy for years and used to love it, but it has gone majorly downhill recently and our experience today has been the worst. My mother in law queried our receipt as the last few times we have visited our orders have been wrong and todsys receipt looked to be incorrect also, to which she was met with attitude and terrible customer service from the young girl on the till, but was assured they had the order right…. low and behold our number was called and the order was wrong- my MIL pointed this out and was met with more bad attitude this time from a young boy, saying they don’t have time to rectify mistakes ?? Bit bizarre under any circumstance but even stranger considering my MIL already queried our order. She then went back later on to place another order and the young girl on the till apologised for her earlier behaviour but then got her order wrong… AGAIN. When my MIL asked for a refund she was met with more abuse, was sworn at and was told she was trespassing, all in the presence of children in the shop. Absolutely shocking customer service, and food average at best. It’s a real shame as this used to be a great wee chippy. The fact we were told they were “sick of complaints” really does say it all… avoid and spend the extra time travelling into Pitlochry!

Overpriced- £17 for 2 tiny wines and a pint of Tennant Lager all served in plastic glasses served by an unsmiling barman.

Great place fish and chips are on a par with some of the best I've had..always good when you can wash it down with a beer or cider.. great set up with the bar in at the back live music at weekends.. been here a few times always found the food to be excellent but just as important the staff are excellent and very friendly as well.. keep up the good work...

I was highly impressed with all the suppers we purchased from 'Food in the Park'. We were there on what must be the busiest night for this business, with a non-stop queue of hungry scouts and their family and friends. Despite the numbers of orders that were given to them they ran a well organised and smooth service with the best fish and chips I have had in a very long time. Service was polite and prices were fair for the quality of the food. Anyone observing the sheer numbers of people queuing would understand that the long wait for freshly cooked food was unavoidable, but the end result was well worth the wait. Well done to a small team of staff who worked seamlessly as a team together to supply the masses with minimal signs of stress, good manners and a smile.

All 12" pizza's £15 each. Terrible experience, pizza's are wafer thin not enough tomato sauce, nearly no chicken, meat or cheese on any of the 4 pizza's we bought. Paid over £60 for this order as we also paid £4.50 for a bag of chips . Avoid and drive somewhere else for your food. Reading previous reviews the, stock answer to a bad review seems to be " why did you not come and tell us?" my answer would be. I have more to do with my time that wait in you excessively long queue just to tell you the food was poor and vastly over priced. Why not just give your customer quality food at a reasonable price ?

A chip standard fish and chip shop. Menu came on QR codes which is a bit boujee. The only downside was no gravy? Just wanted a pie supper but no gravy. Portions were good and filled us up. Nice and fresh as they cooked it whilst we waited, toilets nearby.

We needed something to eat on a long journey home so decided to stop here as it seemed decent from the reviews. When we arrived, the ordering and collection point is a tight, narrow counter which is rammed full of people both ordering and serving/cooking. It seems like chaos but it is actually complete organised chaos...! Our food was sorted pretty quickly for how busy it was and how far away our number seemed from the current one being served. We were a little sceptical but actually, the pizzas tasted great and the kids had loads which is the best review anywhere could ever have...! The best and most unexpected part was the large beer garden and bar out the back. What a great place to sit and drink whilst eating. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and decent prices too. Not sure the bar would work if it was lashing it down right enough but the beautiful, clear sunny night we had, it was perfect...!

Great beer selection, good fish and chips and super friendly owners. When the weather is good you can sit outside very comfortably. Here you can easily spend a relaxing evening with a few beers. Takeaway also available. Location is perfect opposite the campsite.

Stopped by for chips 🍟. All good, tasty 😋 & quick service. They have a large outdoor eating area part of it covered out the back & a couple of tables at the front. Hot drinks also available.

This is a fantastic place. The best fish and chips I have ever had. The staff are really friendly, Davy is great chat . You should definitely stop off.

Just what we were after - great fish and chips and a nice seating area out the back with a bar on an rare warm evening in Scotland. Pizzas looked tempting too. Owner Davie very kindly offered us a lift up to Beinn a Ghlo the next morning which saved us an hour of tramping up to the start. A tenner well spent!

If you love your food " crispy" then this is the place for you. Chicken was so deep fried it was unrecognisable and dry and the cod batter was the shape of a flat fish with half the fish in it. Possible worse meal I've ever had :(

Fresh, tasty fish and chips at Food in the Park. Food freshly made and the batter was really crisp on the fish. The service was friendly and efficient; it's busy, but you get a number. There are a couple of tables at the front and benches out the back with a bar. Very handy if you staying at the campsite over the road.

Absolutely awful. Chips were still raw the the cheese was like plastic. The chips were all wet and soggy. The worst chips and cheese I've ever had, sorry, but it was rank 😤

Large chips for £3.80 but the portion size was small to medium. Didn’t have much taste. Pity as used to rave about this place from the previous times visited.

We arrived in Blair Atholl and decided to try the fish and chips . They are without a doubt the most delicious fish and chips I’ve had for a long long time . Not at all greasy , plenty of them so you don’t feel hungry afterwards. Pre ordering is a must if you don’t like waiting as this place gets so busy even on the quietest of days but it’s worth waiting for . This place is a must when in Blair Atholl . You can also get pizza ( sorry we cannot comment as we didn’t try this but they looked and smelt absolutely amazing! There is also a bar to have a drink while you wait . We managed to get a table down by the river .

We had our dinner at food in the park. 2 pizzas which were really lovely. Nice thin base and plenty topping. I liked that you can half and half pizza which is great as it gives you a choice. My brother had the fish and chips with a black pudding chaser. He said the fish was lovely and very tasty. We also had a portion of chips which were lovely and crispy and not greasy. A thoroughly pleasant end to a lovely day out

While camping across the road, we always come here for the fish supper as it’s one of the best I’ve had. We don’t mind the little wait as it’s always busy (good sign). An added bonus is the bar which is dog friendly. We have also been to one of the bands playing last year on a Saturday night which was brilliant.

Excellent Idea chippy with marquee and bar live band's in the summer..had some great night night's in here.. people staying in tent's.. lodges and caravans in Blair athol or bridge of tilt caravan park and locals well worth a visit lot's of tables and large areas to dance..

Went to get some food from the fish,chips and Pizza bar. No pizzas. Chips cooked only in beef dripping and no veggie or vegan food available. Not sure why they advertise such a selection of food if they don't have it !

I visted Blair Atholl for the first time just for the gig. Staying in Pitlochry and getting the train as don't drive. Unfortunately last train back at just before ten, I was having duch a good time and didn't want to leave as main act didn't come on until 9.30ish😬Luckily managed to negotiate a lift back with one of the band through help of the wonderful Skerryvore Facebook Group grand leader Ola!! This is a wonderful venue, food on site, lots of outdoor seating, fantastic bar staff. I just wish there were more affordable B & B 's in Blair Atholl or that I lived nearer!! Gig tickets on Eventbrite, really worth visiting for a gig, especially if staying at the campsite

We visited here while staying at the Glen Tilt Parc Royale. The setting is lovely with benches on the large grassy area and access to the pebble beach of the River Tilt. We had quite a wait for our food but it was absolutely delicious. We had a mixture of pizza and fish and chips within our group.

Food was fine, freshly cooked and tasty. However, a 45 min wait for fish and chips is excessive. OK, it seemed fairly busy but some indication of waiting time would be helpful. Had some very hungry kids getting quite frustrated waiting for their food.

Coming from a coastal town with loads of chippers I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and tastiness of this place. Very busy but had a great system for ordering and cooking.Also had sitting area in marquee with a bar. Previous reviewer mentioned frozen chips. Definitely not.

Went in an hour before closure for pizza, to be told that they've stopped doing pizza for the night and only chip shop menu to pick from. Selected 2 mince pies and chips. Asked for salt and sauce on both. The miniscule squirt of sauce he put on them forced me to ask him, " I don't want to be cheeky, but can we have more sauce on them? " He looked at me and laughed as he closed the boxes , handed them over and said, "bye". Got home , opened them up to find that the chips are actually reheated frozen chips you'd buy from a supermarket. The pie itself must have been sitting for a few hours or more as was very poor indeed. And as for being charged £12 for the 2.....a complete con!!!! Wouldn't waste my time nor money with them again.

Had a fish supper from here on Friday night which my husband picked up and brought back to the caravan. It was delicious and freshly cooked. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely visit again next time we are there 👌👌

It’s really good that the village of Blair Atholl has this establishment. Just across the road from the caravan site. We enjoyed our takeaway here. It’s also a nice location by a grassy area with seats and a visitor centre.

I attended the recent Bay City Rollers night, with a great support band, Last Orders. Clean toilets, friendly and helpful staff at the bar, and great food from the chip shop on the way in. It was a lovely evening, with tables and chairs, plus a floored dancing/standing area. All in all a fantastic evening!!

Tried to phone in an order for 2 pizzas for about 10 minutes, and they didn’t answer. So I walked down 1.5 mls . And when I got there there there was only 1 other customer waiting and it was 20.20 pm and the girl behind the counter said They had stopped doing pizza. I asked if I could have 2 fish suppers instead and she said ask the fryer.as he was finishing. I asked the fryer and he seemed to take great pleasure in saying no. I went to the Nisa store in the village and bought 2 frozen pizzas! 1 out of ten food in the park. After all the upset of COVID to businesses you would think that they would be glad to be welcoming back paying customers , but a not in Blair Atholl.

Waited 20/25 minutes for a takeaway. The food wasn’t great at all and chips cold. The chips taste as if they were frozen chips and not normal freshly cut chips. Won’t be returning due quality and over priced for what you get

A bit of constructive criticism. Offering vegetarian options, claiming to be vegetarian friendly, and then cooking your vegetarian menu items in animal fat is not vegetarian. It doesn’t even mention on your menu that the food is generally cooked in lard. This isn’t a good idea either - it gives you heart disease. Suggest you change something here and make it clear what you are offering. People who don’t eat meat often do so for ethical reasons and for you to provide supposedly vegetarian options (and your trip advisor page does say “vegetarian friendly” ) to people who are inadvertently consuming animal products is pretty poor. Otherwise the food was great and your service was fine too. Thanks

The fish and chips I bought at this place is absolutely amazing, well seasoned, delicious and worth the price. I much prefer using plastic utensils over wooden ones which is a good thing about this place. However, the only sauce they had was brown sauce and there wasn't any seating the restaurant as far I was I aware of. Overall, I enjoyed eating the food that I had bought here and I recommend that you buy the fish and chips if you can.

This restaurant offers takeaway and sit in dining options. The sit in option is located in an adjoining pub and if you opt for a takeaway, you also wait in the pub and you're given a gadget with a buzzer on it, which goes off...

Staff are really polite and friendly. Fish was ok but the chips were terrible. Expect to wait at least 15 mins for the food to be made.

Really enjoyed the pizza. Polite efficient service - you get a small buzzer that goes off when your food is ready to collect & you can either wait outside our go have a drink in the marquee out back (which was also very good). A few folk were also eating in the marquee. For such a small village, I thought it was a great business offering a wide range of food at a good price. Well worth a visit if you're nearby and can't be bothered to cook.

On our last night, my wife and I decided we would just go down to the local food in the park. A chippie, a lovely evening and we ate our chips outside.

Vegetarian options, but all fried in beef dripping, so NOT vegetarian.

Chicken burger, pizza, fish and chips all were terrible. Frozen chicken between two buns; no sauce, no lettuce, nothing else, and charged 25p for ketchup and mayo. Pizza was straight out of the frozen food section. They couldn't even bake it right, as the dough was hardly baked at all. Fish was way too greasy. Apart from the poor food, when you would like to go to the toilets provided by the council right next to the cafe (cafe's own toilets are closed), you are greeted with a passive aggressive note by the staff, almost taking out their anger for previous complaining customers on you. Would not recommend.

Fish and Chips was OK, had worse but had a lot better. Its not the best fish and chips in Scotland but it fills a hole. Overpriced for what it was.

Covid 19 precautions in place and an exceptional fish and chip tea. We sat in the park with the sound of the river flowing by.

Hemos disfrutado estar al aire libre todo el verano, así que en un viaje a Perthshire hicimos lo mismo. Sentarse, hacer picnic y evitar el contacto social. Paramos en Blair Atholl para una parada en el pequeño parque junto al río Tilt y nos recordaron que el chippy allí es muy bueno. Por extraño que parezca, se comieron y disfrutaron mucho 2 deliciosas cenas de pescado. No pensé que fuera caro con los costos de la cena un par de libras más baratos que donde nos quedamos. También vale la pena mencionar que los cubos de basura son enormes, por lo que no hay desbordes para que los pájaros rebusquen. Y el chippy tiene salsa chippy, un alivio para todos los posavasos del este que valen la pena.

NO es apto para vegetarianos como se dijo, ya que me informaron que todo, incluida la hamburguesa vegetariana, se cocina en aceite de res. Sin embargo, el hombre fue muy amable y nos dijo un lugar alternativo para visitar.

Debido a las restricciones de Covid, implementaron un procedimiento de pedido simple, pero no hubo mucho tiempo de espera, lo cual fue bueno, y puedes sentarte en los bancos del parque y disfrutar de tu comida para llevar. Buena variedad en el menú ya un precio razonable. Bien recomendado.

Had burger and chips which was very tasty and we had coffees which were awesome. Lovely area but the river to sit out at. Well sign posted social distance instructions. Staff friendly

Good Fish and Chips. The fish was fresh and flaky and the chips were good, but you can't beat the crisp of double fried. Great staff 😁

Really good fast food chip shop plus so much more! Handy for the campsite at Blair Atol where you can wait in the Bar until your food is ready... even had mararoni cheese pie for us vegetarians!

Esta es una combinación de chippie y cafetería con una zona de asientos cubierta más grande cercana utilizada para la música de la noche. El café sirve la variedad habitual de cafés, etc. (allí durante unos días, puedo confirmar que la moca, el chocolate caliente y el americano eran buenos) además de aperitivos. El chippie adyacente no es barato pero es bueno, pescado y gambas bien cocinados. No hay una gran elección en Blair Atholl, que es un lugar pequeño, este está bien utilizado y merece serlo. Hay un centro de visitantes cercano con información sobre la zona, el castillo de Blair o los paseos serían la atracción principal para la mayoría.

Hicimos dos visitas al restaurante Food in the Park durante nuestro fin de semana de Enchanted Forest. El complejo tiene una pequeña área de restaurante, un área cubierta más grande en el bar con mesas y un área para llevar papas fritas, hamburguesas, pizzas, etc.Optamos por llevar ambas visitas y, a pesar de estar muy ocupado, el servicio fue amable y rápido. Definitivamente volveremos el año que viene

Came here twice in the past week while away in Blair Atholl for a couple of nights with my wife. First time we were just having a few drinks in the marquee through the back. Good selection of ales to keep a fussy drinker like myself happy! The area is kid and dog friendly and looks like it would be a cracking place to go when they have live music on.Second night we came back for more drinks and to have a chippy for dinner. I had haggis supper which was fried brilliantly. Chips were cooked perfectly too and both suppers got finished with no wastage.Would definitely recommend popping in here if you are staying in the area or looking for a place just off the A9 to stop for food.

Great food We stopped by as we parked the motor home nearby in the caravan park for the night and decided to have food here it was lovely our dog dougie enjoyed his ice cream too

We are just back from a weekend stay in Parc Royale a 10 minute walk from Food in the Park. We came in Saturday night for live music and a few drinks. Nice family friendly place. Came back on Sunday night for a chippy, the fish and chips were fantastic.This is my second visit to Blair Atholl and each time have been to Food in the Park and will definitely be back.Staff are all very friendly.

Best fish and chips we have ever had, cooked to order. Very friendly service, really busy but food wait about right. If staying in the area a must to try.

First night of holiday, staying across the river at the log cabins, we decided to not venture far and try the fish and chips. Glad we did, cracking pint too, definitely visiting again before we leave.

Staying in blair Atholl for a break, first night decided something quick to eat, fish and chips were something else added a bottle of water ( £17.00? mix up some where but as per one of the previous reviews, if you don't query staff they can't rectify/explain issues) during stay also had the chipstake and delicious burgers. All fried fresh in front of my eyes(CLASS no) 2 hour drive seems irrelevant because the chips were also excellent To your staff, First Class guys

Soup was ok. Burger was fried and not even properly cooked. Not a great place to stop. Many nicer places in the area.
