Cafe Biba in Perth & Kinross

We went for some breakfast snacks. There were very kind and sweet, offered us fresh warm loaf with toffee syrup and warm scones! Totally recommend.

Excellent restaurant, super friendly staff and really superb food and very reasonable prices, I would highly recommend this one to anyone visiting pitlochry

Really nice place we popped in hoping to get a table for 7 and we were pleasantly surprised that could accommodate us at short notice the food amazing everyone really enjoyed it definitely would recommend you pop in.

We come here every year before the Enchanted Forest. It’s always lovely, fast service from super friendly staff. The menu is simple good food. The portions are generous. The pancakes are amazing but they’re a bit enthusiastic with the whipped cream! We’ll be back next year as usual.

Went to this place yesterday whilst visiting Enchanted Forest. Apart from one lovely lady with blonde hair who was very sweet, the other two female members of staff were rude and disinterested. Half the tables were empty throughout the whole duration yet they complained we firstly hadn't booked and secondly that only 4 out of 5 of our party were eating. The food was dreadful...9 pounds for a dry jacket potato which was dry and burnt and served with 3 leaves of lettuce. Won't be visiting again, such a shame the staff and food were so bad.

Very underwhelming. Looks like the menus, walls and doors need a good wipe down. Service was acceptable, although another member of staff was quite abrupt to other customers. The food was really disappointing and, we feel, over priced for what it was. There are far better places to eat.

There's a varied menu of sandwiches, toasties, soup, hot meals, snacks ... and a fabulous cake counter! I have eaten here several times and will happily go back. I recommend the peppermint slices!

Come here whenever I'm in Pitlochry. Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is very good.

We came up to Pitlochry on a cold snowy day and popped in for some lunch to set us up for a day out walking. Simple, but tasty food, which kept us going all afternoon. Staff were friendly and attentive. First time trying this café, and would come back again. Hope to see you soon.

Friendly staff, tastless disappointing salmon pasta unfortunately. Lacked any flavour, perhaps we just got them on a bad day but we wouldnt return.

Great little spot. Quick service and the food was awesome. We were just passing by and decided to take a small detour to Pitlochry and glad we did, nice little town.

Took a visit to Pitlochry for the Enchanted Forrest event 2024. The town was buzzing and was very busy. We hadn't considered booking anywhere for our tea. The first place we asked was Cafe Biba, to ask if they could accommodate a party of 9. We could see the cafe was very busy and plenty of reserved tables. However, this fantastic staff went above and beyond at very short notice, made space for us, provided an excellent service, food ordered and at our table without any delay. The food was excellent, staff extremely pleasant and couldn't do enough for us. Absolutely loved the very high standards the staff work to at this restaurant. THANK YOU all again very much(especially for keeping the bag safe that I left behind)😳 10 / 10 all round.

Lovely place! Nachos are not huge, so not to share, but delicious. Chocolate pancake is massive and delicious (even though the ice cream inside could be slightly better quality).

Quite when we called in and 1st impression was get out quick.. But it was dog friendly and sold pizza so we gave it a go.. Pizza out of this world create your own freshly made and cooked. They need to advertise the pizza betterit was yummy.. We'd go back defiantly

The place was quiet, so we thought we’d go in for tea / coffee and some cake only to be told it was “meals only” despite them advertising it on their menu outside. The place looks pretty rundown anyway and judging by the lack of people inside it’s for good reason. Avoid.

A fine establishment with reasonable prices and lovely hospitality. We stopped in to rest a bit and have a small bite Two appetizers and two beers for £30.

Should have known better when there was space on a busy Saturday. The most expensive cheap frozen pizza ever, no draught beers just bottles, menus looked as if they'd been walked on, never changed them or wiped down . Pretty hard up looking interior, dim lighting. Cheerful service though!

We had cream of broccoli soup and Late, staff were very helpful. We were offered water for the dog and a treat. So yes very dog friendly and very helpful and polite staff. Nice soup and coffee. Recommend.

I have to say, the best Calamari I've ever had, followed by the best Venison Sausages I've ever had too.

Don’t Judge BIBA before going inside,it’s doesn’t look much attractive from the rode but inside is amazing,When I went immediately hostess attended me and given the table,it was quite full in that time.Have a great wide range of manu for lunch.Pizza , pasta,burgers ,sandwiches,salad , specials everything they have….absolutely value for money….have some local beers as well. Service was really really good Absolutely 5* for them.🥇🥇🥇

Great coffee and great food. Got the beef curry from the specials board and it was the best one I’ve ever had.

Amazing place to eat! For the price and portion sizes. The staff was really sweet and helpful. I'm celiac and when I ordered pancakes I forgot to tell them to make sure that they are not only gluten free but also free from cross-contamination. They made new pancakes for me. They have a full gluten free menu and the gluten options were also really good.

Loved the food and the staff were amazing with both my dog and my 18 month old, who had built up energy from a long drive.

If you have a gluten intolerance don't have the chips on the gluten free menu. Made my daughter violently sick. Staff did not seem to care. Spoilt our meal out. If you are not gluten intolerant food is nice.

Don't enter if you don't have to. Ranked the lowest in all respects there is. Repulsive food, inedible, not fresh!

Close to parking, very friendly and attentive service. Good little dishes without pretensions, but good and plentiful. The XXL pancakes are to die for with an extra whipped cream mousse. Apparently homemade dishes. Nice, fairly typical setting. I recommend!

If you're in the mood for a real Scottish breakfast, this is the place for you. At the entrance you get a really grumpy welcome, probably due to the rainy weather. It seems like you're disturbing. Since we were the first in the morning, I could still smell the slight smell of urine, which was probably caused by the use of the same mop for the entire store, including the yard and latrines as well as all surfaces. The streaks from wiping the tables haven't disappeared even after an hour's stay, but upon closer inspection they appear very greasy and from days gone by. I would recommend replacing the mop fluid or cleaning rag from 1967. Coffee is served with grounds and costs a whopping £4.35. Artificial flowers and things from everywhere round off the ambience mercilessly. All in all, this is exactly what we were looking for. Food only got 3 stars because the remorseful brown sauce was missing and the self-dissolving skin of the disgusting sausage that they call sausage here was still hanging nicely burnt on the phosphate tube. A waitress was nice and tried to serve a lactose-free alternative to butter so that I wouldn't have to sit there. 5 Out of 5, would recommend for some Scottish breakfast experience! (P.s.: although the chocolate machine was already processing the violent breakfast crime, we decided not to visit the local toilet.)

Came here today on our way back home for a quick bite. The dark haired waitress with glasses was very miserable and unwelcoming. Pulled a face when we said we weren't ready to order, we were trying to keep the kids happy and hadn't looked at the menu. Ordered the chilli and rice, the rice had very clearly been microwaved- it didn't have the taste of normal boiled rice and all the grains were split, chilli was bland. Husband didn't enjoy his toastie and the kids meals were okay. £46 for the lot which is a bit steep.

This was the second time we have visited Cafe Biba and once again we were very impressed. The staff are very friendly and engaging. The menu is one of the largest selections of food we have seen and there is also a specials board. There is something for every taste. My wife didn't want too much to eat so went for the Lentil Soup and I had the Chilli & Rice with a portion of chips on the side. Both were very tasty and filling. We highly recommend Biba either for a simple coffee and pancakes or a full meal.

This place is on the main road of Pitlochry. The the food was quite good in taste, and arrived without being unnecessarily delayed. Our server was actually quite courteous and fast. However - the lady at the bar, who seemed to control everything, was quite curt and insulting to the curstomers! I do not know what their usual timings are, but the day we were there, she made someone close the restaurant before it was 7pm even! Considering that all the other 3 restaurants in close vicinity are open and serving customers till past 9 pm, this was surprising. (We left without getting any desert, and went to the CoOp for buying some chocolate off the shelf just to finish our meal). The rating here would have been like 2 stars if it wasn't for our actual server who we could see was trying his absolute best to do everything quickly and courteously. (We heard him ask this lady why they were closing at 7!)

Delicious, freshly cooked food. Good size portion. We had venison sausages and haggis. Apple pie and cream for dessert. Good selection of beer. Service friendly. Would definitely visit again.

Waiting staff did not engage or make us feel welcome in any way. Not a vast choice of food on the menu and what we chose was pretty poor. Leek and potato soup (a special!) was watery and tasteless. Fresh Scottish haddock looked as if it came out of a packet. Chips were nothing special and peas were out of a tin. Was glad when meal was over!

Popped in for a breakfast me and wife both got toasties. The toasties were both good and the service was great. On a plus the toilets were clean which shows people care. So would recommend

Incredible. Absolutely incredible. Our waitress, a blonde woman very cheery, was absolutely lovely as was the young girl that took our payment at the end, food was wonderful and service impeccable. We shall be back!!! Excellent work Cafe Biba.

Great location on Pitlochry main street not far from train station. Good selection of freshly made food. Caters for gluten free, vegetation and vegan. Friendly staff.

Pretentious. Trying to keep the tourists happy with 'fine' descriptions of ordinary food. Even simple rice is over cooked. However the house manager will justify everything. They do have rather decent tea.

Food great, Bolognese and scampi, quick and pleasant service. Bit shocked at price of ginger beer can at £3.55!

Have been before to this venue and the food and service was great, but this last visit the the food was mediocre and the service was not great. It only takes one member of staff, a senior member, to be rude to customers, and this is what new members of staff are learning from, not good.

We have holidayed in Pitlochry many times and we have always eaten at Cafe Biba. Unfortunately, this year, the quality of the food and the attitude of the staff has gone downhill. We ordered the filled breakfast rolls .. the bacon was completely tasteless and the brown sauce (served in a sachet) was just sweet and flavourless. To top it all off, the woman who served us was not very friendly, just miserable as if she didn't want to be there. Sadly we will not be returning to Cafe Biba. There are plenty of far friendlier restaurants in Pitlochry.

Friendly atmosphere, varied menu, love the options of smaller portions - see "wee bowls". Recommend the very tasty wee bowl of (locally caught!)Haggis, neeps & tatties. Good value, would go again. No on-site parking but main car closed by. Good toilets.

Understaffed so had to wait a while to be shown to a table. Once seated, we were served by a woman who was miserable and made us feel uncomfortable as she came across as if she couldn't be bothered. We only had tea and scones, tea tasted cheap, and the scones were tasteless and served with cheap jam out of a paper disposable pill cup?? Very expensive for the quality. Never going back there.

It was our second visit to BIBA this week. My wife Liz has a dislike of certain herbs and she fancied the Bolognese but it contained herbs. We asked what they were. They said basil & oregano. Liz wasn't sure so our lovely server, Suzanne, offered to get a taster bowl for Liz to try. She has never been offered that service before anywhere else. That is a real credit to BIBA.

Nice cafe to have a bite, they're meals are ok but the service is great!

Very much tourist-led in terms of the prices. Staff were really friendly and chatty but the food and drink were pretty basic for the money. The tuna baguette (the bread bit at least) was a ‘bake at home’ one you can pick up at 4 for a quid in Tesco but was almost £12. Cost £50 for 3 of us including soft drinks (the Diet Pepsi was so watery it didn’t taste of anything, even before the ice took effect). Drop the prices by 25% and we’ll talk.

Vegan pizza and lots of clearly marked veg options! Lovely service and conservatory seating area.

Very pleased with food, service and value for money. Had a breakfast one morning and returned another day for lunch. Both meals were tasty and we'll presented on the plate. Staff most accomodating, no request was a bother and all service was with a smile and brief chat. Bright airy restaurant area with clean tables and cutlery provided individually to each customer, not well handled bucket of forks and knives dumped on table as in some eateries. Dog friendly with fresh water dish provided to table. Definitely worth a visit for a meal. 10/10 for staff front of house and kitchen.

The food was fine, but the staff were so rude! I was going to leave as I was worried what she was going to do to my food, but my husband persuaded me stay. I suggested a change of staff could improve the atmosphere.

We ordered the baguettes with fries and salad. The food didn't taste good, the fries were unsalted and the "salad" consisted of two dry leaves, a cucumber and a tomato. The service was very friendly but the atmosphere in the restaurant was very cool.

Service was absolutely top notch minus one who took our payment at the end, thankfully that was our only interaction with that member of staff. But the woman that served us could not have been nicer and was so friendly. We went when it was quiet but the place is nice enough and can imagine a nice buzz if it was busier. The food was unfortunately average which was especially disappointing considering the prices. The saving grace of this meal was the service, honestly cannot praise enough the woman who served us.

Cafe Biba is an excellent cafe and restaurant in Pitlochry. There is a wide and varied menu and tasty tray bakes to suit all appetites at different times throughout the day. The food is very tasty and there is something to suit all palates. The owners and staff are very friendly and give excellent service. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely food and has a wide choice. Cute smaller place . Some of the staff were lovely but some seemed a bit grumpy . But I wouldn’t let it put us off going again.

Wonderful service and atmosphere. What can I say, we were late Sunday diners and Cafe Biba kindly seated us and we unknowingly stayed almost half an hour after they closed , but the lovely staff never made us hurry or leave. How refreshing and kind in today's day and age. We feel awful now realising they closed at 7pm so we shall be tipping doubly next time we visit. Thank you ever so much for staying late for us, we'll certainly be coming back here every time

This is one of the best Cafés in Pitlochry. We have been in multiple times and it's always been great. There burgers and macaroni are both excellent. We have also been in just for a drink while waiting on friends and there smoothies and milkshakes were very nice. Would highly recommend. The staff are always very cheerful and it's alot better value for money than most other places in town.

Went here for lunch when we were visiting pitochry. Took us a while to find somewhere where we both fancied the food.. I had the special venison sausage with mash and veg and my sister had the fishcake starter. Both were excellent and we indulged in two of their amazing cakes too. Really enjoyed.

Excellent food, and served in around 10 mins from order. Staff friendly and courteous. Photos show our lunch. I had the haggis dish, my partner the goats cheese and black pudding. Good value (£10 per person) Atmosphere is hard to rank objectively but the restaurant was clean and well presented.

The restaurant is very cozy and has a lovely conservatory (probably need booking). The food was delicious too. We ordered the soup of the day and chefs special’s salmon spaghetti that came with the tastiest garlic bread. Although it was quite pricey but the portion was filling. Staff were nice but could have been a little more attentive as we waited a long time to order.

We went before the tsunami wave of tourists hit the area parked around the back it was a wet day, walked inside lovely kept, clean smelling restaurant. Drinks were cold and the food was hot, service was excellent pleasant atmosphere and clean toilets

Just love this place! Been here once before and returned today with our kids, such a good varied menu, even for my picky kids!! Lovely staff and the food was delicious, thank you!
