Food was unreal the burgers melted in you mouth. Staff were brilliant too and even had a good laugh with you !!

Normal burgers for the price you pay, they also charge you for the potatoes separately and the sauces of which they put two small cubes that cost 2 pounds. Nothing out of this world to end up paying 48 pounds for 2 hamburgers and some fries with Coca Cola

Great food! Amazing selection for those who are gluten, dairy, and/or egg free!! I was able to get a burger with a GF bun and vegan cheese as well as poutine with GF gravy and vegan mozzarella! If I lived nearby, I would visit at least once a week 😊

Busy restaurant but tables turned around quickly enough. Big portions and very filling but tasty food in general. Buffalo chicken poutine was tasty but on the heavy side, a lot of spicy sauce you almost can’t taste the gravy after a while. Chips were a bit floppy, missed some crispy ones.

My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. The place had a foul smell of rotten meat, and the dish I ordered from the Christmas menu tasted like old, spoiled meat. But that wasn’t the worst part. Last night, I ended up with food poisoning and had to call an ambulance. It’s worth noting that I’ve tried their branch in Silverburn, Glasgow before, and the quality there was average. However, this branch was absolutely terrible. I wouldn’t recommend it at all!

Came tonight on Monday 16th December. 4 front of house members of staff on. Was seated promptly. Thats the positives. Negatives. Waited ages for same waitress to come back and ask if we wanted refreshments. (why not ask as we were seated what can I get you to drink?) Ambiance. Background music of back to back Christmas music. Decor Dated. Surrounded by cases of brioche buns in the restaurant. (there were other tables available. We were taken to these) Burgers I got the marky mark. £16.40 Claimed to be with pulled pork. Pulled brisket accompied with crispy fried onions. (i love crf) There was no pulled pork. There was no crispy fried onions. The brisket was full of sinue and inedible. Pickles were three very thinly sliced crinkle pickles out of a jar. I was excited to have Gochujang mayo. It works so well with puoled pork. Unfortunately my burger was bereft of it. Gochujang mayo was non existent. I had to ask another server for extra as ours neglected to do a table check on out cuisine. God bless his demeanour as asking as a paying customer where the mayo was on my burger i was told it was £1.50 for extra. My burger had a pathetic amount of it on!!!!!! I proclaimed i am not paying for extra considering so little was on my bun. Burger patties. Were tasty enough. All be it overcooked for a thin patty. Cheese very limited but a slice is a slice. Times are hard for business to operated and this place is the epitome of barely operating. £16.40 is only for the burger. you must pay extra if you want carbs. £3.50 extra for thin crusted chips. Ranged from this to £7 for bacon fries. £7 for a pint of italian beer. Overall Experience was that of nothing but Christmas music blaring in the background. Surrounded by baskets of brioche buns. By staff empliyed who had lost the will to live. No wonder this place is on its arse. Over £50 for two burgers and pints. Brioche buns are cheap My Gochujang mayo was like nothing I've ever experienced before It was watered down mayo, chilli powder and smoked paprika. (you could tast it) Bread meats bread when it first opened took over Edinburgh by storm. Its out lasted byron. Only due to its affiliation with online deliver service. To summerise BMB for me has lost its appeal. Lost its way and clinging on to its reputation in the online community only. an online delivery take away with a poorly run restaurant service attached to it. Purely basing this on looking at how many online drivers came in to to collect. Amazingly being seated next to the kitchen entrance surrounded by over 100 brioche buns. We won't ever be back. I doubt this place will be here next year. Terrible

Fancied a burger while visiting Edinburgh and found the perfect restaurant for it! Served by Robert who was absolutely brilliant and a delight. The burgers and fries were top notch, the price was very fair and I would recommend it to everyone who has a love for burgers! Menu is extensive and varied too!

I was pleased that some types of meat did not bother me.

Terribly expensive for more than mediocre quality. Much too salty, too fatty and not fresh. The fatty table and the smell should have alerted us but we still gave it a try. It was awful. 3 burgers, a bacon fries, 2 glasses of wine for €90. Scandalous To flee

I recently visited Bread Meats Bread on Lothian Road, and I’m absolutely disgusted by the way we were treated. From the moment we walked in, the staff were not just rude but outright dismissive, treating us like second-class citizens. It was clear their behavior was influenced by how we dressed and spoke, which is completely unacceptable and discriminatory. What makes this even worse is that it wasn’t always like this. We used to visit every Friday and Saturday in 2021-2022, spending close to £100 a night, and we were always treated well back then—welcomed by name and made to feel like valued customers. Clearly, there has been a change of staff, and sadly, the standards have completely collapsed. The entire experience left a bitter taste, and I won’t be returning. I strongly urge anyone who values fair and respectful treatment to steer clear of this establishment. Absolutely disgraceful. Avoid at all costs!

The waiter became very rude to myself a Scottish white male and my friend a Pakistani Muslim who was born and raised on the island of Scottish Island of Stornaway. when I asked what beers were on draft, the waiter took instant offence and said sir the beer menu is there to read. Instead of simply explaining what was on draft. Then refused to let me drink Alcohol.

Nice Gastro-pub experience. I had the fried chicken burger. The chicken was well cooked and ingredients well well together. Accommodated Gluten free as well.

Visited the city from Finland, really liked this place. Fast and friendly service, lots of good beers and also vegan options.

Waiter has added a 3£ tip on the bill and says it was optional for us to pay it or not. I think this completely unacceptable because it puts the customer in an uncomfortable position where he/she must pay the tip. Tips should not be put on a bill and decided by the waiter. The food was great and we were having a good time until the waiter got us the bill that included a tip. I am extremely disappointed with this place. Tips are a form of appreciation to the service being provided and should come from the heart instead of the bill. Never coming back again

I remember from many years ago that this place did a good Rueben, but this time around ranks as one of the worst Ruebens I've ever had. There was basically no sauerkraut on it at all, and when I requested some, I was bought a tiny ramekin of sauerkraut I had to ask them to refill because it barely covered half the sandwich. I'm not sure how badly a business must be doing in order to be that stingy with sauerkraut. The rest of the ingredients were mediocre, and a far cry from the sort of sandwich this business used to deliver years ago. Definitely not worth £15.40.

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had (and we’ve tried a lot). The food is outstanding - the burgers are the obvious highlight and I would almost recommend trying several and skipping the chips or just keeping them plain so as not to distract. Try the house beer if you’re a beer-drinker - it’s surprisingly great too. The interior is simple, classic, and the service is excellent and attentive. I tried BMB multiple times when I lived in Edinburgh in 2016 and it was just as fantastic when I came back in 2024.

marky mark was smaller than I expected for 12oz of meat, their smashed patties arent smashed enough, it's still very thick. It's a decent patty, although without something tying it tgt it's kinda flat(it's basically really just meat and bread) onions were rlly good Philly cheeseburger was more flavourful, the combination of toppings really worked to give it complexity.

A bbq brisket toast and a bacon cheeseburger were the perfect choice for us. Definetely to try and indulge in! Service was also impeccable!

Food and service excellent! We order two meal deal , we had 2 burgers and pay an extra to have bigger sides. Everything was sooo good! Just the women bathroom was not to good. It was kind of broken.

Great experience at this burger chain. £12.95 menu that includes burger, drink and chips. The waitress very kindly explained to us how the menu worked and the food was served very quickly. On top of that, the burgers were very good. A complete success.

arrived FREEZING and took 2 hours, obviously has been sat there for ages before it even got picked up, seems like they never attempted to keep it warm in the slightest.

And they put the thing that I love most is the chili pepper I couldn't eat it But in general, the restaurant and the experience are more than wonderful I really liked the attitude of the staff. Parents and I had dinner here. We all had burgers and I got a small poutine and they split a small fry. Everything was generally good, but we all realized that the burgers were VERY salty.

The food was ok, but I’d say not great value for money, nothing special. What really rubbed me the wrong way was the 10% tip included in the bill, which was neither mentioned anywhere on the menu, nor was it mandatory. Once we asked it was removed, but that left a bad impression. I would have probably tipped had I been given the opportunity to do so myself.

Menu is loaded with many burger options. Beef, chicken or vegan burgers and sandwiches as well. Had the chicken burger which was Very good and exceptional. Fries is very good. Servers are very friendly and welcoming. Wonderful atmosphere which makes you plan your next catch up once you leave.

First time here and we had the Luther burger. It shouldn't work but it does and it's delicious! Halloumie fries we're delicious too just not enough of them 😁 Will definitely be back again.

We visited Bread Meats Bread while in Edinburgh for the Royal Military Tattoo. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, we were shown to our seats straight away. We were given menus, and our drinks order taken. Drinks arrived promptly. We ordered a couple of different burgers, and a portion of bacon fries. The burgers were exceptionally good, and the fries delicious. Service throughout our stay was spot on. Recommend

Have been to bread meats bread multiple times and never disappoints. Food was really nice and would return again. The branch is small though so always hate how close the table next to you is.

What a fantastic find! We were on a day trip to Edinburgh and when we arrived there was only one other couple seated. Having now had their food, we have no idea why it wasn’t packed. Fantastic service, fabulous menu and amazing food. The staff were all so kind and friendly. We have a coeliac daughter and their gluten free and coeliac menu is extensive and very varied. Their knowledge on cross contamination and coeliac requirements is brilliant. Their kids menu is amazing value for money and, although there wasn’t a gluten free kids option, they adapted it so our daughter could have the same deal as our non-coeliac son. Coeliac adaptations tend to be a bit grim, but my daughter said it was really tasty and cleared her plate. Our burgers were quite possibly the nicest we’ve had at any restaurant. Again, really good value for money. Would absolutely seek out this little gem again if we are ever in Edinburgh (or Glasgow) again, it’s a real shame they have no branches near us. Many thanks!

Coeliac- Gluten free people, check it out. My wife is a Coeliac and we are lovers of good burgers. Since her diagnosis, we ha e struggled to find good, tasty gluten free burgers. They are always so bland and gross. This place blew us both away. Great knowledge of Coeliac requirements and practices, and most importantly the burgers were delicious. Price was reasonable as well but the joy on the wife's face eating a truly tasty burger, was priceless. It's been a hard challenge finding food that good in Australia but it almost made the trip worth it just for that burger.

My partner and I dined in, it was around 1:30pm. We ordered, finished quite quickly, and wanted to hang out a bit. The waiter immediately took our dishes, our glasses and asked us to pay. There were plenty of empty tables and it was not busy at all. Alright, we paid without looking at the bill. When we were about to leave, and looked at the receipt, realised the waiter added 10% tips to the bill without asking us. We were happy to pay for tips, but not to a restaurant with such a cheaty service.
