Absolutely shocking! We turned up at the door and the place was CLOSED! We had a reservation and even on google it told us it was open?!? No calls or emails to tell us anything and they even sent us an email reminding us of our upcoming reservation 2 HOURS BEFORE OUR RESERVATION! absolutely ridiculous and raging

Booked online but turn up and it’s closed? Well done. No email, no phone call nothing. Who’s running this place?

Voilà une aventure assez étonnante... Réservation faite le 21 mai pour le dimanche 26 mai. Nous arrivons à l'heure de la réservation à 19h après avoir reçu 2 confirmations de réservation: celle du jour de la réservation et le matin même de la réservation. quelle surprise de nous retrouver devant la porte close d'un restaurant fermé; Juste inadmissible et honteux !!

Very nice place with good food and very nice staff. 6 people in the party and we ate 4 different dishes. Everyone was very satisfied and happy.

This place was so good! The risotto we ordered was great, and their sticky pudding and churros were fabulous deserts. We where taking about how good this place was the rest of our trip.

“Outstanding Experience at Toro Latino Steakhouse! We visited Toro Latino Steakhouse and it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was cozy with soft music in the background. Just around the corner of Double Tree Hilton in Centre Edinburgh. The service was impeccable. Our server, Amy, was attentive without being intrusive and recommended the perfect steaks. The steaks themselves were the stars of the evening—perfectly seared, juicy, and cooked precisely to our request . All the side dishes and grilled asparagus were excellent sides that complemented the main dish well. We will visit again! The prices were on end, the quality of the food and the excellent service provided great value for money. I would highly​⬤

This is an absolute must for all steak lovers. The food was fantastic and the service we received was just amazing. We will most definitely be back and we can't wait.

Steak Perfection. We both had rump steaks & they were cooked exactly how we wanted - this doesn't always happen elsewhere! Desserts were excellent too. Great location for dining before a gig at the Usher Hall.

An amazing food experience! The food was delicious and the restaurant had also taken the food allergies into consideration. It was a relief to get gluten free food for my mom who has celiac disease. The staff was also super friendly and aware of the gluten free options.

The Steaks are fantastic! The sides aswell, especially the garlic bread an the chili broccoli. Most of all, we liked the service. Faisal and his team are great!

Dined here for the first time tonight as visiting Edinburgh. We arrived at 5 and were the onky customers for a short while. The staff were lovely, waitress was very very new so is learning as she goes. The food was lovely, although our steaks were more medium-well done than medium and there was far too much pepper on it but was still tasty.

We had a meal here for my birthday a couple of weeks back… It was absolutely AMAZING 🤩 (and we are a group of real foodies!) The steaks were of brilliant quality and cooked to perfection. All of our meals were top class, and the service was fantastic too. Best meal I’ve had in a while, and a lovely atmosphere also. Highly, highly recommend!

My wife booked a dinner to celebrate my 40th birthday. It surprised me that upon arrival the staff member greeted us and wished me a happy birthday, It felt good, as often restaurants don’t take care of small details like this. The food was superb, we had lomo steak and a t-bone steak, accompanied with a very good Malvec. The mains and the garnishes were delicious and nothing was out of tune. We didn’t request dessert as we usually don’t have dessert. But staff members surprised us again with a cake, a candle and the birthday song on the restaurant. It was a nice detail again. We had a good time there, thank you!

This will be our 3rd visit and this time we went with family, as always fantastic food and excellent service. Looking forward to our next visit!

Definition of a hidden gem. Sometimes you gotta close your eyes to the hype around steakhouses and trust your tastebuds - is that a knock out steak? Answer from Toto Latino is a definite yes - perhaps one of the best I can recall, Great service, warm vibe and all the tables had big smiles - this is a best kept secret in the city of Edinburgh.

Quality place. The Argentinian meat is amazing. Really enjoyable place. If you like modern latin music the experience will be completely wonderful. I did not give 5 stars to the environment because I missed some classic latino music like tango or cumbia. But the food is unbeatable.

Booked a table for a special occasion months ago and received a text 3 days before the booking to advise they wouldn’t honour the booking. When I called to try to sort it out I was offered a table 2 hours earlier or 2+ hours later these were not suitable alternatives. Member of staff blamed booking system, no explanation as to why it hadn’t been flagged as an issue way sooner which would have at least given me a chance to make alternative arrangements. Very disappointing

Extremly poor, avoid at all costs. Worst ever chateaubriand; served medium rare as requested, presented as one cold, dry, flavourless slab. Unpleasent flavour added to outside of steak. Garlic butter was a cold water and contained neither butter nor garlic. Potato dish cold and looked like it was scrapped from the bottom of a pan. Vegetable was three small stems of brocoli with a 1/4 of a walnut on it. Should have realised when we walked in at 6pm on a Saturday - no other customers.

26th December and I found this place open ! Immediately I reserved table for 2. That was a good shot because food was delicious, staff super friendly and atmosphere were epic. There was a lot if confusion. Staff looked like still being trained. The empanada were still cold inside (even though hot outside, maybe frozen) The picanha was good and cooked as asked (medium rare), the fries were great. The chicken espetada was very bad,it was undercooked, we asked for kore cooking but it still came back cold and had a weired taste. My husband couldn’t eat it. Staff was very helpful and asked for changing the meal but we didn’t want to wait more. We got offered 20% discount even though we said it’a fine.

One of the best steakhouse in Edinburgh I must say that.

Had our early dinner here while visiting Edinburgh, and it went well. Looks like a tiny restaurant, but it got very busy, there was a large group along with a few couples and a solo diner, and everybody seemed to be getting their meals with no delays, so respect to the kitchen. Our steaks were cooked the way we asked, and both were delicious. A cup of cortado to complete the dinner. All in all a place worth visiting if you’re after a good steak and friendly atmosphere.

This restaurant is overpriced and overhyped. The meat is semi- decent but nothing that would make an argentinean proud, far from it. The venue is trying to convey a weird, pan-latino vibe without too much sucess. Maybe this place caters to people that don't really know how a bife de chorizo looks like

Fantastic steak restaurant just off Lothian Road. We've lived close by to this place for years and only recently visited but we now take any visitors there. Steak is top class, cooked perfectly and sides and sauces are always spot on. It's also very reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

My partner and I booked this restaurant prior watching the Edinburgh Military Tattoo Show. We were both very excited due to the good reviews and the love for Argentinian steaks. However, we did not have a great experience., This has honestly been the worst service we have encountered in the thousands of restaurants we have visited. I will be listing the disappointed that occurred on this night, due to the fact that this would be a very long review. 1. Upon arrival the waiter looked very flustered and had no clue where to sit us dow even though we had a booking. 2. We were asked if we wanted water which we both agreed to. The waiter came back with out water after 15 minutes and left. 3. after this it took at least 20 t minutes for the waiter to come back and take our drinks order, we asked if he could also take our food order as I was worried that he would again take a long time to come back and take our food order. The waiter replied no I would have to take your food order after, which was strange. 4.Our drinks arrived after 5 minuted and the Another waitress took our order. 5. After this we waited for at least 30 minutes for the food to arrive ( at this point we were ready to just cancel and walk out as we were worried about the time but though to just wait for 5 minutes more) 6. When the food finally arrived, the waitress forgot the side order fries it was to get her attention because she just placed the sauce on the side and left without asking if everything is ok and if we needed anything else ( I am only mentioning this as this is a normal thing to ask when you are in a restaurant) so my partner tried to get someones attention but couldn't not as they were just standing around and doing nothing, he had to get up from his seat and motion this to one of the acted like he didn't even know what was happening. 7. The food was at a good standard however the steak was not rare and the side of fries with paprika tasted bland. Normally the steak would have been given back due to how it not cooked as per guidance, but because we just wanted quickly eat and get out of there we just said nothing. 8.When the bill arrived we were charged x2 service charges which was of course odd so we voiced this out on why this was and the waiter has said oh this must be a mistake.Because of how terrible the service was we asked for the service charge to be removed. Both server apologised saying that we are very sorry because our manager in not in today and that it it was because it is a weekend and very busy that night. In my opinion these were not the reason why the service was so outrageously poor. It was because all three waiter/waitress did not know which tables they were serving for, this was because every time something was given to us it was a different server that aided to us and that we noticed that 2 waiters were standing at the bard and leaving waiter on how own to do everything. Lastly, we also got served after the people who arrived after us because they complained about their order not being taken yet. Over all, it does sadden me that we have had this experience in this restaurant as I wanted it to be a great experience as the place looked great but the service was just a let down. I also wanted to mention that the couple next to us who did not speak great English seemed annoyed also as their orders were taking ver

The food was very good. The beef was cooked like wanted (medium/well). We had the house special beef and a sirloin steak with additional potatoes and sauce. I would give it five stars. But the tip (service change) 10% was added to the bill. We like to choose the amount our selves. And this annoy us. So it was zero. And "only" a 4 stars review.

Quality restaurant that has more of a local vibe. Steaks are excellent especially the TBone. My only gripe is the service could have been better. There was two occasions where the waitress brought the wrong food to our table, especially when we already had mains on our table. Good selection of wines. Happy to recommend and it pricing wasn't too bad either.

Naprosto dokonalá restaurace a zážitek. Byli jsme na dovolené s manželem a rodiči. Během jednoho týdne jsme restauraci museli navštívit 2x, protože lepší steaky nenajdete jak zde. Obsluha byla velmi příjemná a vstřícná, váží si hostů. Doporučuji si vždy udělat rezervaci. Mají skvělé chimichurri a dezerty, kterým nešlo odolat.

14 oz ribeye was dry and over cooked not medium it was well done. I dont send food back. Overall the food was good but the meat was not a ribeye there was not an ounce of fat on this steak at all.

We were kind of skeptical at first with only 1 couple in the restaurant but we went in & asked the couple how the food was and they said it was their second night there! So we went with it! Excellent food!!! Albeit a bit disappointed they didn't have a Pinot Noir available... a cider will do just fine! We will definitely be back before we leave! Then we saw another couple peeking in the window & we motioned them inside & said they would NOT be disappointed!
