Really amazing pizza (loved the puttanesca pizza!) and excellent service. Portion of pasta for kids menu is a bit small. Really chill place to have a meal before going out.

We went here for our anniversary and it was so lovely. The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing. It is very busy so I would recommend booking a reservation so you definitely get a table.

Vittoria on the Bridge was our favorite or top 2 favorite restaurants from our ten-day UK trip. The food here is phenomenal, and the service is excellent. You’ve got to try the foccia and the arancini starters. The foccia may be the best table bread we have ever had. For mains, I loved my rigatoni with chicken and pesto. My girlfriend got a burger but loved it. If we are ever back in this area, we will certainly come back. Outstanding food and service!

I little corner of Italy on top of a famous Edinburgh bridge. As all the other comment attest, this is a very nice restaurant. Great food, good prices, good assortment of beer, great service. I ate Penne dello Chef, seating in front of the right windows right on the street, scottish beer on the side. Loved it. Also, as an Italian, it was nice to find the whole staff speaking my language! Thanks guys!

Excellent pasta and very pleasant service

Recently visited as a family of 4. It was without doubt the best meal we All had in Edinburgh. A beautiful restaurant, the service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble! The servings were generous and all the food truly delicious! It was also very reasonably priced. It is rare the whole Family agree on a restaurant choice but this will be our first booking when we return. Thank you

We recently had the pleasure of dining here and was thoroughly impressed. The star of the show was definitely the Burrata pizza. The crust was perfectly cooked, with a satisfying crunch on the outside and a soft, chewy interior. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, and the cheese was perfectly melted and gooey.

Five of us. For lunch. Very good food ambit most importantly the service. From Mirko and Alberto - who is from the family that owns the place. Get the schiopettino and the refosco 😎

Delicious food, but it's just plain Italian. Expensive for what is offered. They charged us £2 more for the mozzarella, which they didn't tell us about. They offered us water but not the typical tap bottle that they don't charge you for, but rather the bottled one. The waitress took everything from our table, everything went very quickly and with a lot of stress, it seemed like they were constantly kicking us out, we felt very uncomfortable. The boy at the door was nice and kind, the girl too but she was going too fast.

We had an OUTSTANDING meal! There was more than enough food for my husband, 8 year old, and I, and the service was excellent. MAKE SURE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS because it was VERY busy when we went at 4:30!

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and it's truly delicious! My family and I went there for two consecutive days, and even grabbed some pizza to go before catching our train home. The team at the restaurant is very welcoming and friendly, making it a fantastic experience. Do you understand the value of staying in Edinburgh for three days and eating for two consecutive days? !

An Italian run by Italians. Spectacular service, super attentive and fast. We loved the food although the pasta was much tastier than the desserts.

The mussels in the seafood risotto tasted rotten thus i went home and ended up sick

This was a lovely place to stop in and warm up after walking around in the rainy city. We ordered a garlic bread, minestrone soup, and penne alla Milanese and all were delicious- warm and flavorful. The waitstaff was attentive and kind enough to box up our leftovers for us. Would definitely eat here again.

The place is beautiful with a cozy atmosphere but I'm afraid that's it. We ordered the foccacia - it was flat as a potato toast. There was a little almost none tomato sauce in the lasagna, looked like microwaved, maybe? I'm not sure. Soup was ok, bread was tasteless. To be honest, it's nice that the staff speaks to you in Italian at first, but after you tell them you don't, they continue to do so. I think it is a little rude.

Absolutely fantastic! Came in on a random Sunday without booking, staff were very welcoming and the food arrived promptly. Not only were the portions big, but the quality of the food was excellent! My recent dining experience here took an unfortunate turn when a server accidentally shattered a glass, sending pieces across our table and dangerously close to ourselves and our dessert. While accidents happen, the response from the management was truly disappointing. We approached the incident with understanding, merely hoping to inform the staff for safety's sake and future vigilance. However, the manager's reaction was far from empathetic or apologetic; it felt dismissive, almost as if implying we were seeking compensation in the form of a free dessert. This lack of concern for customer safety and satisfaction has left me with a sour impression of a place recommended by many tourist forums. It's with a heavy heart that I write this review, hoping it brings attention to the importance of not just the quality of food and ambiance, but also the way customers are treated, especially in unforeseen situations.

Booked for a work lunch event for 20. Great experience from the initial booking the support during the pre order process and then when we arrived very attentive service from the team Food arrived perfectly and everyone said how nice it was. My partner and I visited Vittorias on a recent trip to Edinburgh. First of all we ordered a beer and a rose wine, the waiter had come down and gave me a red wine. However this mistake was very easily amended. My partner and I ordered meatballs and some focaccia bread - the starters were both beautiful and we really enjoyed these. I did find that the focaccia bread was a huge portion for a starter… there was about 8 slices of bread. However this would be a positive for people wishing to share a starter. In the middle of eating our starters a waiter came down with our main meals - he looked at us and realised that we were in the middle of eating starters. He took the meals back to the kitchen. At this point I was worried our meals would be sitting under heaters and taste not good. Although this wasn’t the case. For mains we ordered a chicken nduja pizza and a spaghetti bolognaise. Again both meals were beautiful. The waiter serving us was very friendly and he had a positive, enthusiastic attitude. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

Was not great at all the server was at the table every 10 minutes asking us if we wanted needed anything else the meal was ok but not great i felt it was very overpriced for pasta with a sauce shame as been before and it was lovely 1 to watch also a 10% service charge added which was definitely not deserved

Been going here for years . This restaurant is big, spread over a few floors . You always get a welcome , nice food and good service. It is a very busy place end of the week through the weekend , can be a bit noisey with large groups , not the most intimate of restaurants but 100% consistently good food and service . A good place to meet for a meal before a concert or a show.

3rd visit here. Food was really good on this occasion however last time I visited was with my children and their pepperoni pizza was just covered in oil, far to greasy but not a topping we would normally have so could just be expected for that type of pizza. What made the night last night was the cocktails! They were fantastic!!! Staff were lovely, everyone was working so hard. Also my 3rd time ordering the calamari and cooked to perfection everytime! My only negative is the food prices. Been to many better Italian restaurants that are almost half the price. I appreciate the location and size of this establishment will have high overheads but the cost is slightly off putting for a family visit and we certainly wiped out our work night out kitty last night here. All in all I would recommend but be prepared to spend quite a lot

I would like to say thank you so much for such lovely service at this restaurant and such fine food. My hubby and I took our little lad for a treat and my best friend recommended the pizzas here for when she goes with her partner! My pizza was so delicious, my son loved his and my hubby didn't speak for an hour because he was enjoying his food so much! I highly recommend the chocolate honeycomb vesuvius to finish it off. We wolfed it down and when we come back next time we'll definitely be ordering more!

We did not have a reservation however staff were very accommodating and found us a table, Food and drinks were amazing 10/10, The service was excellent as well as the atmosphere!

We came as a group of 3 couples and were taken to a table then immediately told it wasn’t our table and to return to the bar area where we ordered some cocktails. We were then taken to our actual table. The staff were all lovely and that’s all I’ll give them a good rating on. I started with the arancini that was severely under seasoned. Luckily it came with some sauce and salad to help mask this. I then had the carbonara originale that was quite frankly completely inedible. When it arrived it didn’t have that silky texture that I am used to and within a minute or two it looked like scrambled egg, and that’s entirely what it was. I know how to make carbonara in the traditional way (without cream) and I know they have added the egg mixture when it was too hot and the egg has actually scrambled. No chef should be happy to put that out. My friend actually complained in my behalf as she was appalled with what had been served to me. The waiter took it off the bill but didn’t actually offer anything else so I left unsatisfied. It felt like a chain restaurant that caters to tourists and takes little pride in the food rather than an authentic Italian restaurant. I’ve been to the other restaurant in Leith, granted it was a few years ago, but it felt much more authentic and much better quality. I will say that everyone else in my party really enjoyed their food so I have just been really unlucky. All I can recommend is avoid the carbonara at all costs as I’m not sure the chefs know what they’re doing, however I won’t be returning.

Loved it.Having discovered Vittoria on the Walk first and looking forward to eating there only to find it was being re-furbed went with a but of trepidation to vittoria on the bridge. But my worry was totally unfounded.The service was amazing from the greeting at the door to the servers who brought drinks, desserts or dinner.Food was five star.loved the wine, daughter loved the mocktails.pizza and pasta all lush . desserts to die for.practically had to roll out of there.highly recommended!!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had a fantastic meal here last night after finding it when we were exploring the city centre yesterday. We were welcomed by staff when we walked through the door and then superbly looked after by our waiter throughout our meal. As for the food, it was superb. Great varied selection on the menu which satisfied all of my family members. Great starters, fab main dishes and desserts to die for. Plates all cleared as well! Restaurant was busy so we were grateful that we had booked in advance. All in all a great evening - certainly one of the best, if not the best meal we have had during one of many stays over the years in this lovely city.

We had a reservation but on arrival were met with panicked looks, side eyes and lots of hmm (figuring out where to put us). Sadly as per a few other reviewers we were relegated to the fiery hell next to the kitchen. Ok no problem no other tables (so it seemed) but this is where the ‘hurry up and eat or we will make you’ started. We ordered starters - which arrived to share between the three of us (one of our party was 6). Those were tasty but his main arrived at the same time. Again fair enough but it left him confused as to which to eat first. We were still clearly eating starters when staff leaned over and removed a plate - my husband had to say whoah we aren’t finished! Again whilst my husband took my son to the loo - staff were trying to remove the rest of the starter as I was still eating it… bad bad form to not even ask. So adult mains arrived. The weirdest tasting carbonara ever (I could taste lemon zest and star anise of which I’m sure aren’t in that dish). Hubby enjoyed it however! Pizza was good however was offered no alternative knife to slice it, nor a pizza cutter ? Also strange. Upon presentation of the bill we noted that there was 10% already added on which we declined and suggested 5% as although the food was mostly tasty it just didn’t live up to the recommendation.

Really disappointed with most recent experience. Packed in like sardines on Valentine's night, seafood overcooked. Not what I expected of what used to be an amazing chain of family restaurants.

came here for a nice valentines meal and was incredibly disappointed, we were sat in the most awful table i’ve been at out of all restaurants i’ve ever been to. Right next to the kitchen and staff area so was incredibly noisy and often had staff stood with their backs pretty much on our table. other than the awful seating the food was good quality apart from the macaroni croquettes which were £9 so we were expecting maybe 4-5 no we got 2 singular croquettes for £9. mains were good but again incredibly expensive for what they were. however staff that served us were lovely.

Faultless. We arrived with a group of 30 - organisation was very easy beforehand, mentioning specifically Luca the guest services manager, who was helpful particularly when we had issues submitting the pre-order. The set menu was extensive and the food arrived quickly and was of high quality. The staff on site were fantastic were very attentive in keeping drinks filled, etc. Our invited guests were very impressed and we would not hesitate in returning in the future. Spent the day in Edinburgh and came across this restaurant. Beautiful outside so we went in . Lovley warm friendly Welcome. Stunning inside, toilets really clean. Staff very attentive. Great selection of food to choose from, we went late in the afternoon. My Partner said the beer on tap was the best he had in a while Think it was Moretti he had a few more since I was driving lol We choose to share a pizza n pasta which was recommended by the waitress which didn't disappoint . Good portion sizes, I couldn't finish mine but my partner did .. Overall a great experience. If you're looking for Exceptional service & amazing food go here.

Genuinely the worst carbonara I’ve had in my life and it’s meant to have its own spin “creamy” terrible I’ve had better at chippys !! Olive oil n spaghetti n cheese sauce n bits of ham is what I got minging

Had 3 course lunch here with 2. The starter (caprese) was decent but a bit dull. Our main pasta's were okey and the dessert was honestly quite good. The service was good but nothing special. Came in with high'ish hopes, weren't really fulfilled. If you're closeby and want pizza/pasta, hop in. But don't move through the city for it

Popped in for calamari, a big portion and an extremely tasty calzone pizza, a big eat, best calzone I've had in ages, proper Italian dough, not sourdough.

A beautiful restaurant with quick service,friendly atmosphere and fantastic food .

The food was nice, but on the slightly more expensive side. The restaurant interior was modern and clean. The waiters kept trying to remove my full drinks during the course of my meal and made us wait over 20 minutes to pay the bill... When the bill finally arrived we asked to split it and to remove the service charge. He proceeded to say that we hadn't complained about the service and so we were required to pay this service charge, even though the receipt said it was discretionary. We challenged this and he tried to make us feel guilty and said things like "I'll have to take it out of my wages to cover this as you've not paid your full bill". This made me my group of three females feel incredibly uncomfortable.

Pasta and mussel dishes are all delicious. Be sure to order a ball of gelato.

I had been here with work before Christmas and there was such a lovely atmosphere I decided to go back with my family. It didn't disappoint. The staff were all so incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were treated like we were old friends. The food was delicious and the service was good too. It was my youngest's 10th birthday and they all sang to her. A lovely, unexpected surprise. We will definitely be back again.

The food here is good. Authentic Italian, lovely pasta and pizza. My only gripe is that on this occasion, they did not serve a dessert as it was stated on the menu. My child had ordered a certain dessert and doesn't like a particular sauce, we ordered one that didn't have it yet when the food came it had the sauce she won't eat so we had to send it back. It was a personal preference, but had it been an allergy, it would have been really soppy to deviate from the menu like that. Not a massive deal, but just serve what is stated on the menu.

Absolutely amazing! Best Focacia I ever had! Valerio our server was so attentive and polite. Loved the atmosphere, definitely can't recommend enough!

The food was excellent, especially salmon, everything in that dish was perfect! On the other hand, the service was a little bit rude, for waiters it was really difficult to find a spare chair and they asked me to move, but then they immediately solved it after I declined it. Guests are not supposed to be solving these issues, but at least they could ask politely and not the way it was. Once again, the food is super!

Chef is a genius Managed to take every bit of flavour out the food, large restaurant no love in the food, no Italian chefs, bland like water every thing, cheap ingredients

We had a work group dinner at Vittoria On The Bridge and everyone enjoyed it a lot. Luca was very professional and helped us with the booking and event organising . The restaurant staff were very friendly too. Large portions and tasty food with many options available. All dietary requirements were accommodated . Larger space than we expected as there was also space downstairs. A very nice place for group dinner.

The service was awful 40 minute wait on our food came back 4 times to ask what we ordered while tables round us getting there food and they had ordered after us ( all we ordered was spaghetti meatballs Fish&chips) and 2 starters worse experience...

So disappointed with Vittoria table booked for 7.45 we were a bit early and we were pushed aside like we had the plague not even offered a seat at the bar ppl came in after us were sorted first ( that’s ok because we were early) taken to our table heater wasn’t working they had taken our coats I had to ask my husband to swap seats with me it was so cold and still had to go and get my coat we waited for our order to be taken guy took starter and mains order 40 minutes later no food (he had come back 4 times to ask what we ordered) and apologised for the delay now at least 3 other tables had come in after us and had their starters and some had there mains we didn’t order anything that wasn’t on the menu garlic bread spaghetti meatballs fish and chips they also offered us a discount for the wait when I went to pay there was no discount it was a service charges if nearly £7 my husbands food was lovely and hot mines was nothing special and was cold I couldn’t even be bothered to say anything cause I was so mad I just wanted to get out had the best time in Edinburgh and ate at some lovely spots just a pity our last nite was so disappointing food wise (just to say the young fella that was serving us was so nice the guy running around with the suit should take note sorry we got lovely crisps when we were seated at the bar complementary 😔
