Che in Edinburgh, City of

Only ever ordered chips and cheese from here, but compared to other places they're way better at it. Their small sizes are pretty packed, and they layer cheese instead of just sprinkling it on the top. Very specific review, but I'd rather travel across half of Edinburgh to get chips and cheese from here than get some from a nearby takeaway.

Very tasty hamburger! Really reasonable prices especially in the center of the city! Very good fries & hamburger steaks too!

Hands down the best falafel wrap I have ever had. Falafel was freshly constructed and fried after I ordered, and the amount of stuff in the wrap was just right. Super ergonomic to eat and really tasty!

Loved the food. The pizza is amazing 👏 The staff is so friendly, I will eat there again tomorrow 😊

AMAZING little place!!!! just watched JLS and needed some food, stopped here and ordered 2 chips and donner and 1 chips. Was so warm and the man at the counter was so nice.

Firstly the man complemented my AC/DC top showing they have good taste. I ordered the chips and cheese and they were first class. Not only did the do a layer of chips then salt and pepper as I asked. They did a layer of cheese the. Another layer of chips, salt and pepper and mayonnaise on the side as I asked. The service was great and the chips were exactly what I needed at 1am. 10/10 would recommend. Thanks you very much xxx

Kets drank a lot then got some chaps here and that was a really great score! It was a bit spicy, but it was exactly the perfect hdp meal!

one of the best pizzas with halal options too. We went there for the first time and had a great meal,very good size for the price, and the pizza chef, who is the restaurant owner, was very generous; he gave us bigger portions with extra potato chips for free. We will come back next time we visit Edinburgh!

We ate shawarma and beef burger+cheese+salami+chips. It was just really delicious. The portions are large and you'll be full. The burger was very juicy and delicious. We recommend.

Me and my friend both got the lamb shwarma on the weekend late at night. It tasted decent, but we both got upset stomachs the same night and both haven't fully recovered though it's now been four days.

I knew a guy called Che. He was not the sweatiest Finn in the sauna. But the food I ordered definitely was! I ordered lamb shawarma yesterday and it was probably the worst I've ever had. My other three friends were even more dissatisfied. Extra star for cool name. Cheers

ordered a meal which states comes with drink - no drink. it's likely on purpose based on other reviews saying similar and not coincidental as has happened to myself more than once. if you're trying to save money, don't false advertise and try state clearly it doesn't come with one.

Very friendly environment with acceptable food but don't expect the best.

Solid burger meal delivery experience. Burger was juicy with all my custom instructions followed perfectly. Fries were crispy but not overcooked. Very good taste, bread quality, relishes and time to deliver was lazer fast. Thanks Che for satisfying my midnight munchies.

15.9.2023 On a trip around Edinburgh, we happened to visit this bistro, where we were very surprised by the nice staff (probably the owner) and very tasty food in a large portion at a very reasonable price. If we return to Edinburgh, we will definitely return to CHE.

Ordered lamb shawarma wrap online ,the food come piping hot.I must say the combination of cheese and meat is wonderful and the portion size is big. But the fries is just OK and have rooms of improvement. Would recommend.

Came here after googling halal places whilst visiting Edinburgh city. Glad we chose here instead of the others. Within a 7 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle (but you don’t ‘feel’ the walk as it’s an interesting route). This Veggie here had to have a falafel wrap with hummus was lovely and fresh salad ingredients used which was a nice contrast to the falafel (also yum!) inside. Chips crispy outside and fluffy within. The chicken burger was ‘mouthwatering’ as per my son’s words.

Had been working over time in Edinburgh, and after being on the go all day, was in need of something fast to eat on the go. Was passing by and thought I would give Che a shot. Nice little Middle-Eastern takeaway with a large menu. Ordered the mixed shawarma to go, and it was so tasty, I could have easily gone back and ordered another one as it was so good! Staff are fantastic. If in area, be sure to check out.

The restaurant does not send a soft drink with the meals. It has has happened 3 times already despite asking for it in the "leave a note section".

Without a doubt, Che has THE BEST chips (fries) in Edinburgh (maybe in the world...). I highly recommend anyone visiting the city to stop by for a snack here. I was a frequent customer pre-pandemic and loved going back to get some chips when I visited on holiday recently. It's close to the University of Edinburgh campus, very affordable, and the staff has always been very nice. Can't recommend these chips enough!!!

I've been trying to order from here for ages and was really looking forward to trying the mixed wrap! It arrived terribly packaged with ingredients falling out, bread was stale and crumbling at the top. It takes a lot for me to find something too salty, but this was waaaaay too salty. Hardly any salad just a load of meat. No tahini yoghurt included as far as I could tell which would have been nice 😔 went off all the good reviews here, maybe they just had a bad day

The best Halal place to eat in Edinburgh. The price is very reasonable and the serving size is also quite big. Absolutely loved it. Me and my friends were super hungry and after having the food we came back with a happy mood and full tummies. The staff is also very nice.

I enjoy the pizza and the chips. The pizza is cheesy and a little herby. The chips are medium thickness (not chip shop chips), but also really delicious.

Went in on New Year’s Day for 2 pizzas and they were banging. Loving the che Guevara decorations. Was surprised to see che himself come out looking spitting image of the man himself but absolutely jacked. in my head I like to imagine it’s the real che Guevara. Anyways. 10/10 food, literally never had a bad experience, it’s all good priced too. Always a good scran

This place is banging! I ordered some chips and cheese and it was bussin 😮‍💨! The owner was well fit and complimented my trim 💪. I will most definitely be returning for some more delicacies. I came here based on reviews and wasn't disappointed! I had the chicken shawarma wrap meal which is flavoursome and packed with sauces and salad. The perfect balance between meats and supplementary condiments. The portions are bigger than any other takeaway and the staff are polite and friendly. I would came back here next time I'm in Edinburgh! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Ordered at 1am on Deliveroo, order accepted. “Preparing” for over an hour and fifteen minutes. No update or anything to say it couldn’t fulfil the order. Apparently it closes at 2 am so as the order was still “preparing” didn’t know whether to cancel or not. Currently 02:21 still waiting for an update. No phone number to be found so can’t call and see what’s up. Nothing on Deliveroo support other than email. Rubbish, get in the bin

Customisation options on just eat menu are very convoluted

After trying many Halal places in Edinburgh, we came across 'Che' and it was by far THE BEST place to eat. The Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The place is very reasonably priced too and the Falafel is AUTHENTIC! We tried the chicken wrap, falafel wrap and lamb wrap. The Chicken and Falafel wraps were the best! It was so good that we came back the next day again! Definitely recommend this place to anyone in Edinburgh!!

They ask you to buy extra stuff with their fake "5 pounds minimun card payment" during a pandemic. Will never come back. Also the quality of the food... wouldnt recomend, if you go there and try it you'll understand why.

Best falafel wrap I've ever had. Dreaming about this place since. So fresh and tasty and the salad and chilli sauce was outstanding! Will definitely be back. Tried to get some the next day after I had it but it was closed on a Sunday. ☹️☹️☹️
