The best restaurants in Scotland

We had lunch yesterday 19 October. We had a wonderful experience. Everything was perfect . The staff are amazing, one and all. The service is impeccable. The food is truly exceptional. If you get the chance to go here, do not hestitate. I cannot find fault with anything at all. We chose the Market Place menu and I was fortunate enough not to be driving , so chose the wine pairing with my menu. It was so worth it. I had an English wine for the first time and highly recommend it. My husband was driving and only had a sip of each of mine, but he agreed totally that the choices were perfect. We were both bowled over by the whole experience .I am looking forward to going back as soon as possible.

Tuvimos un buen paseo desde Edimburgo, a través de Dean Village, así que estábamos listos para una taza y algo de comer. Tomamos té, café, un bollo de pudín negro y un bollo marrón hachís, los marrones hachís eran bastante insípidos, sin embargo, el bollo / chiabatta era delicioso. El personal era agradable y la decoración estaba bien.

We have visited 63 Tay St a few times and it has 100% our favourite place to eat . We went for the 4 course lunch tasting menu and it was superb . We have had something different every time we have visited and like every other visit , it did not disappoint . Fabulous dishes, highest of standard produce , exceptional presentation and taste . I am vegetarian and my husband is fussy , we both had dishes we had not had before and loved every course . Fraser is exceptionally talented . Chris front of house gave us a warm welcome , very knowledgeable about the food, service was impeccable. We went to the wine flight to accompany the dishes , Chris’s knowledge of the wines was very informative and paired to perfection. A wonderful dining experience , worth every bit of the 40 min journey to visit . Portion sizes are amazing for a tasting menu , so much so I couldn’t finish the dessert ( much to my dismay as it was lovely). We will definitely return .

Got a takeaway from Phriends and it was really delicious, great portion sizes and the flavor was amazing. The service at the restaurant was great and I’ll definitely be back to sit in! I ordered off the vegan menu which was listed in its own section on the menu, love to see it! Thank you Phriends!

It was great. The space was truly exceptional. The staff was very helpful and nice. The pizza was incredibly delicious with beautiful garnishing. It’s true that it gets very busy, and we had to wait in the queue, but it was worth it.

Amazing food and atmosphere. The manager, Edwin came to our table to check on everything. and was so nice and genuine. Brandon, our waiter was attentive and very personable. The food exceeded our expectations! We only had about a 15 minute wait and trust me ...it's worth any wait that you have!

The only thing we enjoy led was started squid 🐙 Thank you for taking burned stake back and offered waiting for 20-25 min f9r new one or another option to pay for starter dry fries and go home 😂 we choose home.shame use to be such a brilliant food this year sticky toffee was almost like Xmas pudding taste with ice cream on top,last year was awsome 5+ this year probably kitchen chef changed Fries was so dry for my 3 year old and emidiatly on a table 2 min after order meaning they were dlfar from fresh.they changed it some were still old mixed with fresh fries I couldn't believe it.

Food was amazing staff very polite and helpful, couldn't have asked for a better night out to celebrate our wedding anniversary, best restaurant by far

The best restaurant I've been to in Edinburgh! The price for the meat buffet for dinner is high but it is well worth it. The meat is delicious and from time to time they ask if we have any meat preferences so they can bring us a little more of that. All the waiters and waitresses who served us were very friendly, especially Douglas, our favorite! Highly highly recommended!

Rally nice pub with great food, classy pub atmosphere and awesome service, staff explained the local food to us. The mussels were yummy and all reasonably priced. If after a traditional pub with a log fire, go here.

Food was nice and the service was great! Waiter Nico and one of the waitresses who i didnt catch the name of were absolutely lovely and so kind, would defo come back

Great meal with mates fully doggy friendly. Nice beers too
