Pad T'aye in South Lanarkshire

My daughter and her boyfriend had a table booked for tonight (31.8.24) was a bit of a celebratory meal. Not the easiest location from Bellshill, so we paid for her taxi. She was told on arrival for her booking, that her table was running late. She was totally amenable, gave a contact number and went to a local pub. When she was eventually called to return for her meal, she was told they were running late due to a ‘big’ table and they could only offer her a cost reduction on another night. She was understandably upset by this, wandering about Hamilton with 2 bottles of wine in her bag because it’s BYO. When I called to raise my concern as a parent, I’d barely got to speak, when the girl taking my call told me to ‘Lose the attitude. Your daughter was seriously cheeky’ Plus a whole load of other totally inappropriate comments. Barely gave me a chance to speak at all. I was stunned! She then put the manager/owner on as requested. He ended up telling us how upset his member of staff was (she’d clearly recovered when talking to me!!!!) Then he asked us ‘What do you want me to do? I’m now running more late (because we were an inconvenience) and need to get back to cooking!’ Never known such a lack of customer service or common decency/respect in my life! Absolutely Disgusting!!!! What a way to run a business. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs if this is how they conduct themselves.

This place is a little gold mine of flavours had the stake deal on Wednesday never tasted something like it the fried rice is something else tatsy and staff are very friendly will be a regular from now on

This place is awesome the food came fresh and is so so tasty easily the best food in Hamilton and staff are very friendly they also do delivery which is handy if you don’t want to go out for tasty meal big shout out to staff made us feel at home will be back as regulars time and time again.

Really tasty food. We had beef bites and fish cakes to start which came with zingy dips which were fab. Went for classic green curry and massaman curry. Both were class either way fried rice and Thai crackers. Excellent service and would definitely recommend. Make sure to book as it only has a few tables

The hype doesn’t live up to its reputation. We tried the steak offer on the Wednesday evening and the crying tiger arrived perfect however the steak masaman was cold and had to be sent back. The masaman sauce was lovely but the crying tiger sauce was poor. The atmosphere/ambiance wasn’t great as the music was loud and it’s very dark. I was glad to get outside as it feels claustrophobic. Not a place l would go back to sadly.

Excellent food, friendly service & great value. Good menu options and fresh seafood specials. Recommend the green Thai mussels.

Lovely little gem, food was lovely, the owner and his team were amazing, they were passionate about their food. Will make a real effort to return and try out the rest of the menu.

Fabulous food. 4 friends dining in restaurant last Friday night. Each dish nicer than the next one, so we had a try of each others! Looking forward to trying their taster menu at some point! Have had 1 sit in meal and 2 carry out’s so far! Can’t rate highly enough.

Fresh lovely food BYOB so great value too whats not to like Excellent will definitely be back Only thing i prefer to go for lunch and it dosent open until 4.30pm

Myself and the good lady went for the 6 course tasting menu - prior to the actual night went in to hand in deposit and got chatting to Liam and its fair to say that his passion and enthusiasm shine through all way to the plates. The intimate space lends itself so well to the small plates ethos although i could have happily sat and eaten everything on the menu beyond the taster menu. Liam clearly has many years experience pulling together great dishes - fresh and considered ingredients were consistent across the whole menu - deffo not thai by numbers and if your palate is jaded from " meh" south east asian flavours, his are spot on. Also fair to say the serving team are fabulous too. Corkage charge very reasonable as well. The restaurant is less than 1o mins easy walk from Hamilton Central rail / bus station and there's a great wee bar just round the corner for before / after ( JYNK YRD )

You should go here. I’d never been before, definitely going again. Great food, good range of options but not too many. Small and authentic place with Freindly service. They informed us about tasting menu events (check out instagram). Was eating with a vegan colleague and they loved it too. This place deserves to be successful and grow.

This is the best restaurant we have ever , ever been to. The fish cakes were amazing with such tasty dipping sauce and then the Masaman curry was out of this world!!!! It’s a small restaurant and the food is cooked fresh so there is a wait but soooo worth it. It’s BYOB but don’t drink too much or you will miss the best curry ever!

My family and I had the vegan tasting menu last night. Everything was delicious and fresh! The green curry was dynamite! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Date night with my hubby at Vegan taster menu. Hubby was not overly joyed at going to a Vegan night but I can honestly say he was plesantly surprised the food was so tasty!! I could tell he enjoyed it with the almost licked clean plates. My husband and I both are not Vegan but I thought the menu looked great and it didn't disappoint, fresh ingredients full of flavour... Delicious!! The staff and chef were great, really friendly, nothing was a bother. If you are thinking of going..YOU NEED TO!! I've already been on to friends and family to arrange nights outs when restaurant opens in February. Would highly recommend

Tried the restaurant and tasting menu for the first time with friends! Best Thai food we have ever tasted.! Highly recommend

We visited for the 6 course tasting menu at the end of August - and it was amazing, well worth every penny of the £42 price tag. I like to think I know what good Thai food is, having lived in Bangkok for a couple of years and visited the country several times - and this is the real deal! Proper Thai ingredients (morning glory, Thai basil to name just two that you don't often find in restaurants in Scotland) take the food to the next level. The cooking, and the service, were excellent on our visit and will definitely be back.

Visited here for the first time with my sister and it was amazing. Restaurant is small with an intimate feel and everything we had was delish. Thai fish cakes were tasty and fragrant, corn fritters were amazing. We had to try the pad Thai (obvs) and it didn’t disappoint, neither did the massaman curry. Staff were really friendly and helpful, will defo be back FYI it’s cash only and BYOB

Booked a table last night the 15th sept, by far the best Thai I have ever tasted! Plus great and friendly service. A great wee find and already booked for the taster night in Oct.(would have went sooner but Sept taster is fully booked) Will be back soon.

A truly outstanding meal, the care and attention that goes into the preparation of these dishes is unmatched. An excellent meal.

I have been in every restaurant in Hamilton multiple times because I’m a sheet cook but had never visited here but a workmate recommended. Pros. Food is excellent Holly has about the greatest customer facing skills I have ever encountered. We were still talking about her an hour after leaving Liam can cook Thai food like a Thai. He also has great customer skills and is very passionate about You can bring your own booze Cons. We know know both their names so will be obliged to visit regularly Honestly folks just go. You won’t be disappointed

Honestly our new favourite restaurant. We order a takeaway from here all the time as no other restaurant compares. Absolutely amazing food & even better that there are veggie options too. Definitely something for everyone!
