Nice place had the 2 course pre theatre' starters were nice. I ordered Korean Bibimbap and got nothing like Bibimbap. It was crispy chicken and rice. Nice but no what I expected. We pointed it out and got some barbled explanation about Thai version ...eh don't call it Korean then... its like calling a dish haggis and supplying fish and chips..

Another fantastic meal in Mekong! Went along with a group of friends for an early Friday dinner! On arrival restaurant wasn't too busy but it quickly filled up and the atmosphere was buzzing! The food again was out of this world, the vegetarian [Greenhouse Menu] was fantastic and a super addition for any vegetarians in your party! They felt so included in there choices Excellent value and a must if in East Kilbride

First class for service and enjoyable food and drink

absolutely beautiful place, the restaurant itself has expensive looking design inside and the food was just amazing. We had yum soup, which could be a little spicy but full of flavour, then green Thai curry and sweet and sour chicken with rice. Tasty and well presented food, we will definitely be back.

Went here on 09/03/24 with my partner and some friends for a meal. I had heard good things and they were all correct. Really friendly service from everyone there. The food was amazing. Very tasty and good portions. The price was good and will definitely be back!

Forgot I hadn’t reviewed this lovely discovery near Hairmyres station. Worth the train journey and short walk from there. It’s in an odd location but inside it’s a pleasant restaurant with great service and the best bit was the melt in the mouth flavoursome food! We’ll definitely be back.

I went for lunch, going for the 2-course fixed price menu. Food was excellent, as was the attentive but not intrusive service. The décor is new and very pleasant. The gents toilets were also newly refurbished and spotlessly clean. Recommended, I'll certainly go back.

It's not often that a restraunt has five stars with so many reviews, but this one deserves its rating. If you eat here you will be treated to visually pleasing tasty food. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. We will be back often and also order the food as takeaway and delevery as it is pretty close to us.. Quality 10/10

Best restaurant in East Kilbride without a doubt! The food is amazing, great selection on the menu and the presentation of the food is absolutely stunning! The restaurant itself is beautiful inside as well! The staff really make this place as they are so attentive and kind! Well worth the money and already can’t wait to come back, thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Wonderful food - Thai green curry with jasmine rice was vibrant and robustly flavoured, friendly staff too, very extensive drinks menu. My friend had the Thai red curry, said that it was faultless. We both had the vegetable spring rolls, these were wonderfully made. I highly recommend it, and will be back!

Visited for the second time on New Year's Eve as a party of 11. The restaurant was full and there was a great atmosphere. Our servers didn't miss a beat, no meals missed, food was perfect, and drinks topped up. The food here is exquisite, full of flavour, great portions, and leaves you wanting to come back to try more. This is a must visit.

First time visit to Mekong. Lovely restaurant, friendly staff, nice bustling atmosphere. Great choice on the menu. Starters £7/8. Mains £15-£20. We shared thai golden bags starter. It was very nice. I had chicken Phad Kra Po, which was minced chicken and was quite spicy. Others had Seabass Pla Phad Cha and chicken Phad Priew Wan which they really enjoyed. We all had jasmine rice, 2 rice between 2 would have been enough. No room for desert. Nice restaurant for special occasions. Would definitely recommend the restaurant and would return.

To be honest it's not a Patch on the previous establishment,Sali Thai. The meal we had was Okay but I don't think value for money. Quite Overpriced not Authenticate either. .

Great food will definitely be back

Having eating in the restaurant and been impressed, we decided to try a take away. The wait was 40 minutes for collection, which wasn’t an issue as it was a busy Sunday night. No issues until I got home and an item was missing. I called and they offered to drop it off but as it was so busy it was quicker to go back. They had it waiting for me, but apart from an apology they offered nothing more. By the time I got home to eat it was 30 minutes from my original collection and the food was stone cold. Feel let down by the service.

Food was delicious & service was excellent. We had the pre theatre meal which was great value. Will definitely be returning.

First visit with the Family and it won’t be the last. The food was superb and the staff very attentive. The crab starter was excellent and I could have ate it as a main it was so good. All dishes were very well presented and the Korean crispy chicken was out of this world. Can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely outstanding Thai food. Each course was amazing. Beautiful restaurant & lovely staff. I’d recommend the tempura, king prawn pad Thai & the deep fried ice cream! Can’t wait to go back, I can’t believe it good it was. 🤩 Great value for money too with the set menu’s.

Went for anniversary date night with the wife and was absolutely superb. A bit more expensive than your standard Asian food but this isn’t standard Asian food- it’s excellent. The atmosphere and staff were great too.

I have been here 3 times now for dinner and going again next week for my sister’s birthday. The food is out of this world, the taste, the flavours and every dish is beautifully presented. I cannot believe such a restaurant with Thai food of this quality exists in East Kilbride, of all places lol. My sister was taken there by a work colleague and she could recommend it enough. I was skeptical as I thought if there was such a brilliant Thai place I would have heard about it but true to her word,the menu is full of authentic dishes and you know the flavours are going to be fresh, vibrant, zingy and pack a punch! Just what you expect from Thai food. The decor is stylish and elegant but comfortable to create a relaxing ambience to eat and relax.

I always look forward to going here. Friendly and attentive service. Broad choice of highly varied dishes. Food is DELICIOUS! Been 4 times now and have been thoroughly pleased on each occasion. AMAZING (try the softshell crab!).

Had a great lunch today for my partners birthday. Service was excellent from the minute you walk in the door! They were all so welcoming, friendly and professional. We also had our young baby with us too and they were just so good with him which added to the experience. Place is beautifully decorated and well spaced out, food is amazing and well presented. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be back!

First time trying here and definitely won’t be our last. The waiters and waitresses are really nice, friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and was so tasty and fresh. The honey, chilli crispy chicken was amazing as was the garlic beef. Salt and pepper chips were sooo good too! The whole place has a lovely ambience and the decor is beautiful.

After reading reviews I was keen to try. Took my 10yr old along. Staff were excellent, very attentive. Food was very disappointing. Portion size for price. I ordered chicken stir fry I got chicken mince!! I didn’t want any rice as I’d had a starter but the portion was so small and cost and £14.50 for chicken mince. My son ordered ribs off main menu. There was little meat on them. Perfect for a child but tiny for adult for the price. Maybe I ordered the wrong main. I skipped lunch knowing we were going for dinner. Starter was hot and sour chicken soup, it was lovely but still very small. Over priced for portions size even in todays climate.

Walked in of the street with no reservation, was made to feel welcome straight away. Staff were very efficient and gave us water as we sat down then quickly bought our drinks. Our orders were taken and the food was delivered very quickly. The food looked great and tasted better! Starters and our main courses were great with superb service! The restaurant was busy and had a great vibe and it was Tuesday! Will definitely be back! What a great place to eat…..!

The result is dishes that are agreeable but lack the adventurous edge and complexity one might expect from an establishment touting Oriental cuisine. Second visit and can't wait to return. Excellent service and food , spoilt for choice on the menu. So many new dishes to try over the next visits. Thoroughly recommend.

I Went today for Lunch for My 15 year olds Birthday there where 4 of us the Food was Amazing & The staff where excellent they even brought out a wee cake with a candle and sang Happy Birthday to my Daughter above and Beyond . Highly recommended and will 100% return . 👌

The restaurant is so lovely decorated and spotless and the food did not disappoint. We have visited a few different Thai restaurants and this has been the best. Staff were all really nice, attentive and did not rush you. We highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Delicious food, fast service and very polite, attentive staff! Loved the atmosphere and the decor inside, although a little cold for my liking. Overall a very pleasant experience. Although when a waiter came to take our starter dishes, what looked like a manager grabbed her arm slightly aggressively and pulled her away from our table. This seemed very impolite to do in front of customers, however she was perfectly pleasant with us! But this was one off moment in an otherwise lovely evening. Highly recommend Mekong!

We've been big fans of Padi since it opened so we had high hopes for its sister restaurant. I'm very happy to say that it doesn't disappoint one bit. The food was delicious with fantastic sauces that are far removed from the gloopy fayre served by some Asian restaurants. Once again East Kilbride restaurants punching well above its weight.

Lovely meal with my husband and daughters to our new local restaurant. Really enjoyed our meal and were very impressed with portion sizes especially with children’s meals.
