My terrible photo doesnât do the products justice, they were delicious! Pictured here are the dulce de leche malteser meringue biscuits and the Vietnamese coffee buns (though I may have got the names slightly wrong as itâs been a few days since purchasing!) I emailed the bakery just before they reopened to see if they definitely did takeaway for all their products, as Iâd planned on surprising my partner on his birthday with a coffee and some baked treats. When they replied they explained how they have boxes, bags etc etc so yes it was all takeaway friendly. Unfortunately my partner spoiled the plan by booking an all day bus tour starting at 8am on his birthday (eyeroll haha) so I nipped in the day before for baked goods instead. I was nervous because I have ridiculous anxiety, and the lady that served me was lovely - she was patient and wasnât annoyed about the fact that I was stress reading the menu and not really taking any of it in. This really is important to me because I literally NEVER go into bakeries, small cafes etc etc by myself because of the anxiety it causes, it has helped boost my confidence going into small establishments. She told me which product was which and was truly just a lovely person to briefly interact with. So, thank you! The price was good, the bakes were delicious, and the birthday boy was well chuffed with the surprise! We will definitely be coming again next time we come to Edinburgh!

Stayed a couple of nights before heading north west. Pitlochry is a lovely spot and Knockendarroch was the perfect place for us. Great views, bedrooms and service but the star of the show is the food. The menu has 4 options for each course and completely changes every night. Three courses balanced just right and with canapés in the lounge before dinner, the whole experience is just wonderful. Particularly liked the seafood laksa and the guinea foul / chorizo dishes.

Three courses all absolutely delicious! Of special note, the veg scotch broth served with fresh bread was flavourful and warming. The star of the show for me though was the life-changingly good coconut panacotta, beautifully delicate flavour that I won't forget for a long time. Thank you for a great meal!

Visited 2 nights during a stop over in Comrie before heading to Fort William. What can I say amazing food yet again. Both nights we tried a different dish and both nights we very pleased. Excellent food and flavours. Katy & Brian run and amazing restaurant.

Years ago, I received a free lunch at this place. The man serving me could tell from my expression and mood that I had been having a very difficult day. I never got the chance to say thank you, but I still remember it well. Good deeds do not go unnoticed.

Recently discovered this place with friends on a visit to Scotland. Add this as a must do. Giovanna and team were tremendously warm and great hosts. The deer and haggis Wellington is excellent, as was the Cullen Skink. Make sure to finish off with the sticky toffee pudding. Will make sure to visit anytime we are near.

We stopped in here this morning, killing time on our way to the ferry, ended up pleasantly surprised by a real gem of a place. Both ordered a full scottish breakfast, which came with toast and tea/coffee included. Food was great and the value is unreal - absolutely huge pot of tea, loads of toast, really nice haggis, sausage, bacon etc. Staff were really friendly and the whole place had a lovely relaxed vibe, everyone chatty and having a lovely time. The real treat was the huge range of sweet treats - i was full from brekkie but I am an unstoppable sweet tooth so i bought a biscoff rocky road and a banoffee tart as takeaways to have later. Can happily report both were delicious! If you find yourself in Newton Stewart be sure to visit Bridgend Pantry, you'll be glad you did!
