Loved this! Got take away portion was massive, price was reasonable and staff were really nice! Great spot for take away pasta ✅

Food is genuinely amazing but I’ve visited a few times and certain members of staff are quite unfriendly and won’t even greet you when entering the shop. The first time I thought maybe stress or a bad day but that’s been a few times now that I’ve felt unwelcome or that I’m inconveniencing the staff. If the food wasn’t so nice I’d probably not visit again.

Food is absolutely outstanding. Best Italian I’ve tried in a long time 😋. So much choices which is great. Service from Kayleigh & Jack is second to none. Always friendly and look after me when I’m in. Will definitely be back and recommending to friends & family 👍🏼

I came in here with my partner after a long working day! Neither of us could be bothered cooking. The portions were healthy and the food was spectacular! Probably one of the best Italian takeouts I’ve had! The guy behind the counter was super friendly and chatty with us! Will definitely be back to try the rest of the dishes on the menu!

A wonderful, refreshing take on Italian street food! Fresh, hot pasta dishes filled to the brim with quality ingredients, made with care, and seasoned beautifully - commendations to the chef. Service - fantastic, greeted with a smile, and had the menu kindly explained to me, with a recommendation that didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the name, but it was a chicken and friarelli, in a (somewhat) spicy cream sauce. Parmesan and black pepper available when you pick up your order, a nice touch. Pasta bars are notoriously hard to execute, explaining why there are so few of them - Piatto have it down to a T. Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed. P.s. although I didn’t have one this time, the cannoli are fantastic, white choc and pistachio being my favourite.

Lovely food, amazing service and good portion sizes

Fantastic place for well priced, home-made style food. 9 times out of 10 it is perfect, and all the different pastas are top quality. Every now and again the dishes are way too salty or exceedingly hot temperate wise, but other than that a reliable place for good food. Staff are always great and there's two little tables outside to eat if you'd like to. Coffee is fantastic!

As always, a happy experience at Piatto and this is due to the staff who are always pleasant and provide good quality food. Thank you very much.

Didn’t get served or acknowledged as waitress with black tied back hair was discussing designer bags and hairstyles. I ended up leaving as who wants to stand and be ignored. No acknowledgment of me waiting to be served. Honestly don’t think I’ll be back as it was a wee bit out the way for me, so was always a special effort to get over but not after that no chance.

Placed an order to manager for spaghetti carbonara, she gave me penne . I don’t like or want penne as it’s always hard ! She offered me another Spaghetti carbonara , picked it up & it was again penne .. come on ! That’s a brass neck coming from the manager . Ended up with nothing except cheek from her !

This place is golden. Authentic, traditional Italian food. The focaccia is incredible. Three of us had lunch, massive portions and loads of parmesan cheese and black pepper.

I bought the special sandwich that they had with the homemade lasagne. Quick tasty and cheap! Love this place

Piatto’s is the best Italian street food about, from staff to food the service is outstanding. The staff always goes above and beyond from the minute you step in the door to you step back out. Highly recommend as it’s one of those things you Will constantly crave.

As a regular patron of Piatto’s, renowned for their scrumptious Italian street food, my recent foray into their delivery service left me profoundly disappointed. This venture, a departure from my usual takeout experiences, was marred by a series of failures and miscommunications, tarnishing the high regard I held for this local favorite. My ordeal began when I placed an order at 19:18, expecting the same quality and service I had joyfully come to associate with Piatto’s. Instead, what ensued was a frustrating wait of over an hour and a half with no update on my order. My first call to the restaurant assured me that my meal was en route, a mere six-minute drive from my home. Yet, 12 minutes later, there was still no sign of it. The next call bewilderingly implied that my order was already delivered, a claim that was far from the truth. The situation escalated when I was left waiting indefinitely after being promised a callback. My subsequent attempts to reach the restaurant were futile, leading me to visit the establishment at 21:15. There, I was met by a lone worker who, despite acknowledging my order, was unable to offer a refund or a solution as the transaction was through Uber Eats. The only recourse offered was to leave my name for a manager’s follow-up. Further aggravating the experience, the delivery driver eventually appeared with my order. However, his attitude was dismissive and unapologetic, blatantly ignoring my queries and walking away mid-conversation. To add insult to injury, the food, once a source of much delight, arrived cold and the chicken was akin to rubber. This entire debacle, spanning an exhausting two hours and fifteen minutes, starkly contrasted with the many delightful meals I had previously enjoyed at Piatto’s. It pains me to say that their delivery service has not only failed miserably in maintaining the standard of their food but also showcased a complete disregard for customer service and satisfaction. This episode has regrettably tainted my perception of a once-beloved local Italian street food gem.

Generous food serving and lovely place and staff. will comeback again!

We have been customers of Piatto almost from the day they opened. Still, one of the best. (if not the best) italian streetfood places in Glasgow. The pasta is just really tasty and the portions are enormous. They are also very generous with the parmigiano, which I love. The prices are still very very moderate. 6 to 8 pounds for pasta that could almost feed two people. There have been many attempts to copy Piatto in the neighborhood, but nobody has come even close. The recently opened deli next door (Soto) is also very good.

Loved everything about my experience. Food was cracking, and even after reading other views about generous portions still can't believe the bang for your buck here. Pasta, sauce and chicken were brilliant. Pizzas were tasty. Service was super quick and the espresso was delicious and will be back often for more as a double espresso will only set you back £1! Don't take this as a statement of quality because it would have been worth twice what you'd pay in a dedicated coffee shop, and the beans were fresh and the machine clean. Really lovely interactions with the team there, too. Super friendly and welcoming to my nervous dog, chatty with us and it was the same for everyone who came for takeaway whilst we sat in. Can't wait to go back!

Went for takeaway lunch with my wife and got the special. One portion was massive for the price, filled me and my wife for under £10. So value for money is unmatched. Freshly made pasta with a brilliant sauce. 10/10. Will be back again and again

As for the food, is fresh but over seasoned at times. The authenticity of the flavours, freshness of the ingredients, and their tantalising taste are fulfilled most of the time. The Milanese, a particular standout, is an irresistible dance of delectability, calling you back bite after delightful bite. Their value proposition lies not just in the top-notch quality but also in the quantity, with generous portions that ensure satiety. We chose 1 pasta with carbonara and 1 with puttanesca sauce fpr lunch. Both dishes were fresh and full of flavour. Generous sized helpings that we finished off later at home, they were that large. Would recommend for food alone, but staff were also very friendly and helpful.

The best plate of pasta I've ever tasted. Don't pass on trying the specials. I've never been disappointed after trying them. Portions are huge! So so tasty.

Their ciabatta fillings are excellent and plentiful.

Stefan makes the best coffee in town

The vast place in the southside for coffee. Stefan never fails to make me and my friends laugh and Angelo's special is the yummiest chicken in the city! Seriously love the feel of this place for a summer lunch or a takeaway for the park.

Whether it’s pasta pizzas or salad, it always hits the spot. Service is always amazing especially when Stefan is on. 10/10, couldn’t trust another one stop Italian!

I've been going here regularly for three years now. I love it. Service is always friendly, the food is second to none and they've never been like the rest of Shawlands in that they've always stayed reasonable with their prices, which no doubt the community appreciates during a cost of living crisis. This really is a gem of a place. Don't be tempted by cheaper places nearby offering pasta bowls for a fiver because there is NO COMPARISON. Stick with Piatto folks.

Glasgow's best (massive) sandwich-based lunch. It is the best I've ever had, and my lunch companion said the same thing too. We ain't a pair of spring chickens so we've eaten almost every type of food in almost every eatery in the city. Soto/Piatto is the best in its field, and by a distance at that.

Popped in at recommendation of Bike Shop across the street while getting a repair done. Great Hot Chocolate; lovely & helpful staff who were very cheery as we tried to make the most of a unfortunate situation on our part. The cakes for the road were stupendous. So thanks for those.

We come here regularly, lovely pasta dishes which are big portions and so flavourful. Fab takeaway packaging that keeps the food roasting hot. This is my go-to in the Shawlands area and perfect for a quick lunch break.

Beautifully-made cappuccino (probably the best I’ve had in Glasgow), crisp but fluffy (how?!) pizza and a hearty sage and butter ravioli. The cannolis were also lovely; layered crispiness with a sweet filling that went so well with the coffee. A 10/10 experience, made all the better by the excellent barista — Stefan was his name I think! Will definitely be frequenting when I’m in Glasgow.

I have to say the pasta was mediocre

We’ve just had our Piatto pasta for our date night and it was the most delicious meal we could have imagined. We’re both out of breath because we didn’t breathe the whole time. Absolutely stunning. Won’t get over it emotionally for a long time. Edit: wanted to add more because I’m obsessed. The portion sizes are amazing and the pasta was perfect temperature. They look just like the photos - if not better. Can’t even put into words. I’m not sure words are doing this justice but if you’re reading this, trust.

Two stars are only because the food was delicious. 2 hours delivery when advertising 30-50 minutes is scandalous. I called around a hour later and be told "You're next mate, just waiting on driver." Not a problem. 20 minutes later, no sign of driver so call back, a different member of staff answers. "Your order is just being cooked right now". ?????? I'd much rather be told the truth that its taking longer than blatantly lying. What's the point? The more you lie the more irate customers get and it'll continue. Received the delivery two hours later with the wrong pasta we had ordered. Asked for rigatoni with one and linguine with the other and got penny for all. To lie about the delivery time, be over a hour late with my order and still have it wrong. Shambles. The bright side is that the food is class.
