Came in for our 20th Anniversary, it was so good. 100% will come back whenever we come back to Scotland.

Best steak we have ever had, it was cooked perfectly. The sticky toffee pudding was worth feeling too full, it was delicious. The staff were really friendly and cheerful.

Our 1st time visiting here and we certainly will be back the food was absolutely superb the service from the staff was also top class, I would definitely highly recommend you visit if you love a steak.

This establishment has the potential to be the finest steakhouse in all of Glasgow. Upon our arrival, an elderly gentleman greeted us with a warm smile and promptly served us drinks at the bar while we waited for our table to be prepared. The food was exceptional; we ordered a bone-in ribeye and a boneless sirloin, both cooked to perfection. Our waitress demonstrated great skill and attentiveness throughout the meal. As a delightful gesture, we were offered complimentary espressos at the end of our meal. I highly recommend this establishment and will certainly return in the future.

A great find in Glasgow. Small relaxes steak joint with great atmosphere and service. The steak is excellent. Melt in the mouth good. Great sides if you fancy a bit extra. Good drinks and cocktails. The sticky toffee pudding and ice cream is a real memory of Glasgow. It was the best I tasted... The ice cream yiy could stick your face in good 🤣

My partner and I ate here last night and both enjoyed our steak, it was cooked perfectly and the chips were spot on. The decor was fresh and the restaurant was very clean. The staff were incredibly cheerful, it's the happiest restaurant I've ever been to! It's set the bar high for the rest of our stay in Glasgow!

Just had the most delicious dinner of fillet steak and scallops to start. The staff made our night out so special, couldn't have met a more welcoming staff, even got a few free prosecco as it was my birthday, 10/10 all round and will definitely be back and would highly recommend this lovely wee restaurant 😊

Best fillet steak I've ever had 🍣

Service was great, very attentive but not overbearing. Perfectly cooked rare steak, chips and probably the best peppercorn sauce I’ve had. But regardless of how good the steak main was, the haggis starter completely over shadowed it, from the sweet turnip puree, crispy potato tweel to the haggis ‘wellington’ it was beautiful. Perfectly peppery and I’ll be dreaming of it for weeks.

If you want to eat real Scottish meat dishes, and meat in general, this is the place for you. Large Scottish beef steaks, to the point, very good. The service, as always in Scotland, was very friendly, courteous and quick. If we ever come back here, we'll do it again at any time.

Best food, best service, best steak I've had in the UK

We spent our last Scottish night in this cozy little restaurant. Great food and very attentive with the service.

My husband had been wanting a tomahawk steak for years, but in the US they are just way too expensive so when we came across this place and saw they had it on their menu at a much more affordable price than the US we had to get it and let me tell you it did not disappoint! It was absolute perfection and cooked beautifully! The flavor was so good and the garlic butter and red wine au jus paired so perfectly with it. The truffle fries were also a 10/10. Even dessert was delicious and it was homemade vanilla ice cream. Our server Mac was also so great and attentive and super nice. We left feeling so full, but perfectly satisfied. It was delicous and next time we're back in Glasgow we'll definitely be stopping by again.

Have been wanting to try this place for a long time and I finally did. All I have to say is Wow! The steaks exceeded my expectation. The bone-in côte du boeuf was so flavourful and tender, I asked for medium doneness and it turned out perfectly done. And I mean Perfect! The edge was a little charred which enhances caramelised flavour, the inside was juicy, tender and pink. My partner had the sirloin medium well done, the top layer fat was also perfectly done with some parts crunchy and packed with buttery flavour. All steaks come with choice of a side and small amount of salad. The côte du boeuf and sirloin were huge in portions. I had to bag half of them home and they still tasted so nice! We chose Peppercorn sauce which was cooked with mushrooms, again top notch. The house red Romanian Malbec was easy to drink and good. Service was prompt and attentive, the boys checked on us regularly. As the restaurant has limited tables (say around 10), reservation is highly recommended. Definitely will return! 👍🏼

If you haven't tried Meat Joint you absolutely have to go atleast once, and you'll want to go again and again. We've been twice now and rave about it to everyone, the fillet steak is the best thing I have ever eaten (twice). The peppercorn sauce is beautiful and compliments the meat very well, the chips are to die for. Would recommend the scallops or the haggis for starters, beautiful presentation and everything tastes amazing. The drinks menu is good but beware, if you are looking for a cocktail (which isn't on the menu unless you ask) they are dangerously good but also expensive... we would still recommend a pina colada and the old fashioned which made my whiskey-loving dad very happy. The scottish comedy act playing on the speakers in the toilets is a really nice touch. We will definitely be back.

We’ve tried many steakhouses in the area and this surpassed every single other one!!! By far!!! The Meat was cooked and seasoned to perfection. It’s not a big hustle bustle restaurant so the atmosphere was wonderful and the service and hospitality second to none!

Had a lovely Sunday roast with friends. Normally, I'd say it was a touch overpriced for what it was but we got it as a deal on Itson, so good value. The service was great, very friendly.

We were on the deal for a Sunday roast dinner and had the beef. Succulent and delicious - great banter and attention from the server and a decent price. What's not to like?

I made my wife happy at Meat Joint. The place is spectacular, very well decorated, with class and good music. Mark took care of us and it was an incredible experience. Super friendly and pleasant. The food is simply brutal. We will return, I am sure.

This restaurant had good reviews so we booked here. We got a table for 2 at the front of the restaurant near the fire extinguisher. When we received our starter the waiter nearly flipped the meal in my lap. He had to go back to the kitchen to rearrange the plate. I ordered a sirloin medium grilled that, according the menu was 500gr. What I received was not medium en did not weigh 500gr, more like 350 gr. 350 was enough but don't put 500gr on the menu. We didn't receive what we payed for. So for us this restaurant is overrated.

I don’t normally leave reviews at places but the way I have just been treated was horrible. We went in as I had an itison voucher and the manager was so rude. I misread it and didn’t realise I couldn’t use it on Father’s Day and when I said that I was fine to not use it, he got aggressive and so rude. He started talking down to me like I was an idiot ,even though ,I was happy to not use it and just have a nice meal. We ended up walking out because it wasn’t an environment we were comfortable in and I’m just disappointed that somewhere I was excited to eat at had such a rude worker that I don’t even want to go back to try the food and that I’m now out of a deposit purely because we didn’t feel comfortable eating in somewhere after being spoken to in such a disgusting, condescending manner. I feel sorry for the bar staff and other waiters as they seemed nice and were apologetic but I will definitely be warning people about him as he needs to learn how to correctly talk to customers.

Ate here last night (29th May) with two friends from Germany. From the minute we walked in, we were looked after extremely well, absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Haggis and soup starters were excellent, followed by lamb and the best fondant potatoes I've ever had, especially the sweet potato. My friends had the sticky toffee pudding to finish and assured me it was of the same level as starters and mains. Great value for money. I can't praise Aiden enough, made us feel so welcome. And please Aiden, stop calling me sir. lol

Waiting staff exceptional. Attentive and good banter, but not over bearing. Food was delicious and good size portions, presented beautifully. Really good wine selection, particularly the dessert wine. Would highly recommend the Sunday roast here.

Steak wasn't seasoned well, cooked as asked nor particularly soft or tasty. Desserts were terrible. They'd clearly been sitting out and the ice cream pre scooped. Tables are far too small. Service was okay.

Called in without a booking and was very lucky to get a table. Cote de Boeuf was delicious and Mark at the front of house was the perfect host. He really added to the whole experience. Will definitely call the next time I'm in town and would highly recommend to those who appreciate their meats.

I went to steak joint with some friends and I have to say everything was top marks. My friends and I keep on commenting how amazing the chateaubriand was. We would 100% recommend getting a table here. Also service was top notch. Felt properly looked after.

Amazing Sunday roast. The beef has such a nice char and the roast vegetables were great. I especially enjoyed the roast courgette. The roast chicken is good as well but we preferred the beef. The only thing that could be improved is the Yorkshire pudding which was a bit soggy. We finished our meal with a sticky toffee pudding which came with a side of homemade coffee ice cream. The ice cream is 10/10! The texture and coffee bean bits were incredible.

A great find in Glasgow. Went for dinner here whilst visiting Glasgow for the weekend. Staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming and the food was just what we were after. Everyone left happy and full.

We received a gift voucher for here and were so excited to try it based on the reviews. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. Both of our steaks were so bland; it was unbelievable. There were some parts which were and therefore those parts couldn’t be eaten. The peppercorn sauce was watery and the mushrooms were inedible. The chips were nice but when you are spending this kind of money on a steak, there is a standard that should be met. We have been to many steak places and therefore we had high hopes for here. I was so disappointed by the dinner that I didn’t order a dessert because I didn’t want to spend any more money. We promptly asked for the bill after the mains. It’s such a shame because the service was good. The 10% service charge is automatically added here which is something that wasn’t mentioned to us. Some people were very casually dressed which we didn’t like either. We wouldn’t recommend this restaurant and have shared this with all of our friends and family. There are plenty of other alternatives which won’t leave you disappointed.

Food was absolutely excellent all round. My girlfriend and I shared the 1200g Tomohawk steak along with scallops and truffle parmesan chips, all of which were cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Mark was absolutely great and made us feel welcome, couldnt ask for a more mannerly and professional server. Overall great experience and cannot wait to go back.

Me & my wife don’t get out much for dinner so when we do it’s so important to us that we select the right place. Honestly this may have been one the the single greatest meals I’ve had in my life time. Apon arriving I felt the restaurant was small and was slightly concerned with the table size. The staff made the experience feel intimate without being intimidating. The food, WOW. I opted for the scotch egg and sirloin and my wife went for the soup (parsnip and lemon) & filet. Both of us after each bite shared a look of joy and can honestly say this was the greatest steak I have had in a long time. After a toilet break I was smiling from ear to ear because instead of the usual elevator music the toilets had a tape of Scottish comedian Kevin bridges playing, I felt this was a very nice touch as not only did it make the toilet break a fun time but it was a nod to Glaswegian culture in a restaurant that initially felt it was taking its self to seriously this help to set the atmosphere as a place that takes the food and customer experience seriously but maybe not its self. My only feed back was the lack of a cocktail menu on the drinks sections, I would have loved to have washed this down with a negroni, I’m sure if I asked they would have helped but without a clear cocktail menu I was apprehensive We will be back.

I've eaten in few steak restaurants in my time but I can say this is by a country mile, the best in the business. Couldn't fault any part of my experience, the food, the service, the setting, all first class.

Great place, service and atmosphere

If like me you've read all the reviews for this place, and your concerned that it might not live up to the hype.....think again! This place is utterly AMAZING! From the moment we arrived the staff were warm and welcoming, they just could not do enough for us. The food was genuinely thee best meal I've ever had..period! The environment was just so lovely, portion sizes were amazing. We travelled up from Ayr for the weekend and this will for sure be our new go to restaurant in Glasgow, anywhere else would just pale in comparison. Thank you to our server Mark for such a lovely experience, we look forward to seeing you all again. 😁😁😁

I was here today for a Christmas lunch with my son. My wife always hijacks it . This year we timed it with her Christmas lunch. So just the just the two of us .From the moment we walked in Mark was the most hospital host . He selected the best steak I've ever tasted and the red wine was absolutely beautiful. I can't recommend this place more. It was recommend to me by a friend and all I can say he will most definitely remain a friend. If I could give it 11 out of 10 I would. Please treat yourself to lovely food great wine and a great host.
