So amazing! Can't recommend enough!

Got recommended to the place by a friend. Took my girlfriend here for her birthday. the 2 servers mark and the other guy whose name I didn’t get, took very good care of us service was great and matched the food the steak was incredible and the sides were the same. Will be returning here soon good value good food good staff thanks again for the great night

It's not often my response is "No words mate..." when the staff ask how the meal is. Genuinely the most incredible steak I've had, and the sauces were also amazing. I cannot wait to come back.

Top-notch service Excellent meat and fat (🤤) Great wine list If you generally want rare, ask for "rare"; it's their medium rare, but it's our medium rare. In short, a great place and truly premium service. A pleasure!

Our dining experience was awful. The smoke alarm in the kitchen was going off every 5 minutes throughout our meal. This was due to a broken extractor fan in the kitchen. The other tables around us were also unimpressed by the level of noise. The £39 ribeye we ordered came burnt to a crisp. The steak itself was also very chewy. I mentioned this to the waiter and he said he would pass our comments to the chef. No offer of a discount or an apology. We definitely won’t be returning and do not recommend anyone else wasting their money. £100 better spent elsewhere.

Great service, really friendly staff, we got the crab tartlet and the haggis starter. The tartlet was great however the haggis was disappointing. The chateaubriand and the sides we got were superb only criticism was no veg options for sides on menu and the peppercorn sauce was over seasoned. The tart for dessert wasn't great either it was like yogurt in a pastry case. Will definitely return

We had an amazing experienxe at The Meat Joint in Glasgow! Seriously, that venison was out of this world - best I've ever had, hands down. The steak was incredible too. What really stood out was how welcoming the staff were, proper handshakes and made you feel like a VIP. Funny little thing - even the toilets were spotless and playing Scottish comedy! Definitely recommend checking this place out and we are looking forward to coming back 😀

Friendly staff let us come in a bit early without booking. The starters were very nicely done, I particularly liked the haggis. The mains were sensational we had a ribeye steak and a sirloin; both were very good cuts of meat and both were cooked perfectly. We left happily full and passed out for a big sleep afterwards ;-).

We had a wonderful lunch Tuesday 22nd April Food and drink were spectacular. A special mention to Mark who was most definitely the host with the most. Will return 10/10

Went here for a late lunch on our wedding anniversary. This was our second visit and both times it didn’t disappoint. Easily the best steak you’ll find in Glasgow. Mark at the front of house was very friendly and attentive which topped off the whole experience. Definitely hope to be back soon.

Perfect steaks and great service

Come to meat joint for the first time this evening and we cannot fault our experience in anyway! Food was absolutely incredible we shared the chateaubriand and it was cooked to perfection! Service was also excellent, all staff couldn’t be friendlier but mark went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great experience! Overall I highly recommend this place if looking for somewhere to go in Glasgow city centre!

You will not find a better steak! We first came here in 2023 before we got married and the meal we had then became a bit of a legendary tale for good it was. From then on, every other steak we had was compared to the famous Meat Joint magic and while good, others just never came close to that melt in the mouth experience we had in Glasgow. Determined to seek out weather or not it was truly as delicious as what we remembered, or was it all a myth we'd generated in our heads, we ventured back to the restaurant two years later... Needless to say, the plates were near licked clean! Oh yes, it was as good as the fabled tales had foretold! Honestly, expect a beautiful meal here and overall wonderful experience - this is a perfect cozy restaurant which can be enjoyed through the day or at night and is a gem of a location close to the centre of town. The staff could not be more friendly, welcoming or helpful and clearly they are passionate about good food. But don't just take my word for it... go and create your own legend! And i can only apologise for ruining every other steak experience you have from there on :P

My first time visit courtesy of my eldest & her husband who have been several times. Unbelievable food; Scotch Duck Egg to start and then Tomahawk steak with Mac n cheese/ parmesan truffle fries. Definitely the best steak place I’ve visited and will be back. Big shout out to Mark who was wonderful; so pleasant, attentive and also a dead ringer for Will Sergeant(guitarist in Echo & The Bunnymen). Overall superb and a lovely treat all round!!!👍

Today I had what I'd happily and easily say was the best steak I've had in a long, long time. Not only was my côte de boeuf cooked to a perfect medium / rare, but it had an exceptional crust on it also. The Diane and Chimichurri Sauces were excellent, as were my Parmesan chips too. An all round 5 Star steak dinner, and I'll definitely be back ..... and probably in a hurry too.

Just returned from a Sunday lunch and happy to say blew away my expectations. The staff are simply outstanding, nothing is too much and their attention to detail is second to none, so thank you guys. Opted for their Sunday lunch over what I really wanted which was the tomahawk (I will be back for that) and was very happy indeed , high quality produce cooked superbly and presented in a first class manner thank you again. Exceptional food and service - highly recommend.

I honestly could not fault one part of this meal in any way, from the food to the service to the over all atmosphere of the restaurant. Myself and my partner came to Glasgow for a mini baby moon before I give birth next week. We thought we would just chance our luck for a table after stumbling upon meat joint on Google. Marco and Stuart were so inviting and very attentive from the second we walked through the door. Making sure we had plenty to drink and that everything was okay with every course. We had a starter, main and dessert and I can fully say both our plates were empty after every course and i could not complain about any part of the meal. I highly recommend the tomahawk sharer as it honestly melted in your mouth. Overall the visit we had tonight was 10 out of 10 and the only thing I'd do differently next time is book ahead, but that was a fault on our part.

Best steak in Glasgow, no debate about it. Staff are fantastic, so polite, attentive, knowledgable and the menu is great. Can’t recommend the place enough.

The steak was unquestionably a great cut and perfectly cooked, medium rare, along with super nice peppercorn source and real chips cooked to perfection… so why four stars? Well, no vegetables on the menu… at all (potatoes aside) though we did get some lettuce on the side..in the middle of winter. Though I will say if you are a foodie, wanting a great steak and chips this is the place to go! Oh the desert was great too.

Really impressed by the food and the atmosphere here. Had the venison which was cooked to perfection and I like that they don’t try to squeeze in as many tables as possible, so even though the restaurant is on the smaller side it never feels crammed. Staff also couldn’t fault, very helpful and pleasant. Thanks for a great meal!

Late lunch with my other half on Saturday afternoon. Food and service was both excellent. Completely lived up to all the other great reviews. Had a great time and will be back.

Second time at Meat Joint, it's faultless. Staff are very friendly, they are efficient without being pushy or hurrying you. Food is delicious, very ample portions. Premises are small which allows the staff to be attentive, have been to other places where they cram as many tables in as possible, certainly not the case here. We will be back.

Great experience, Haggis keeps and tatties starter was very well done. Chateaubriand was cooked to perfection, sides are amazing (the chips!) Garlic butter was unreal not taking away from the meat. And unexpectedly the sticky toffee pudding was by far the best I’ve ever had. The service couldn’t have been any better giving a laid back vibe but there to cater to every need. Super friendly and professional. Will be back!

I had a wonderful Birthday experience at the Meat Joint! We had the chateaubriand and it was faultless. It was tender, cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The side we had were also wonderful (roasted potatoes and onion rings). When we next want great steak we know where to go! Thank you also to the two gentlemen serving us they were top notch.

This is hands down the WORST restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We came to Meat Joint Glasgow expecting to enjoy the best steak in the city, but instead, we were met with pure arrogance, disrespect, and blatant racism. The waiter was unbelievably rude, and when we asked to speak to the manager, he smirked and said, “I am the manager.” When we demanded to speak to the owner, he arrogantly replied, “I am the owner.” What kind of nonsense is this? On top of that, he had the nerve to suggest that we should have ordered at least £400 worth of food, as if our £100 order wasn’t good enough for them. So now customers have to hit a spending target just to be treated with basic respect? Absolutely disgraceful! This place is a joke—horrible service, disgusting attitude, and a complete lack of professionalism. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! They don’t deserve a single penny from anyone.

We ate here tonight indulging in the fantastic sirloin of beef Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Hands down the best beef roast I've had when eating out, the haggis neeps and tatties starter was also incredible and probably the best haggis dish I've ever eaten. Really 10/10 for the food and service, our server Layla was lovely. So warm, welcoming and attentive. We can't wait to go back.

Unbelievable lunch at Meat Joint. We had the scallops and black pudding & chorizo scotch duck egg to start, chateaubriand with sides and sauces for mains and a sticky toffee and seasonal tart for dessert - there is not a single thing we could fault! The food was top class but the service was what made our experience. A laid back attitude to quality food, served by Laila and Aiden who were brilliant throughout. Birthday day out in glasgow with jacqui & Guide Dog Wee Skye on Hogmanay. My friend booked it as a surprise Had a lovely warm welcome and was asked where we would like to sit and we got the table next to where the heater was with plenty of space for Guide Dog Skye I had delicious scallops and cote de Boeuf, medium rare with onion rings and peppercorn sauce it was so delicious and filled me up. Skye was given a bowl of water ; bowl was imprinted with meat joint on it - fanciest water bowl we have ever had when eating out Jacqui had the duck egg scotch egg which had black pudding and chorizo and then she had a sirloin , medium with garlic butter and chips. The steak defeated her so got a doggy bag to bring home. Service was brilliant and the man who was serving us ( think jr was Mark? ) asked about Skye etc and loved the story of the #the2skyes 😂 ( I have a collie called Skye as well ) and he wished us a happy new year when we were leaving which was lovely Will definitely be back I think it’s the best steak I’ve had and would highly recommend

My wife and I went to this place tonight 22.12.24 and had the best fillet steak that we have had in a long long time. It was totally amazing. We were served by Mark And Addie their service was brilliant. Honestly anyone that loves a steak you need to visit the Meat Joint can’t wait for the next time we visit 10 out 10 all rounder

My family and I had a lovely experience eating here. The dishes were prepared with obvious great skill and care and presented beautifully. Lots of locally sourced ingredients too which is always good to see. We were really well looked after by Aiden, a consummate professional host. Would recommend and would visit again for sure.

Lovely staff, very attentive and up for a laugh. The food was the best I've had in a while started with the Barra scallops and shared the tomahawk steak and even took the bone home for the dog.

Fantastic welcome. Wonderful service. Super freindly staff. Steak was ok, but not special. The starter was very interesting and creative. Haggis,neeps and tatties. Delish. I've given a low score on atmosphere because of the horrible noisy woman who projected her fish wife, heavy smokers voice above everyone else's. Including ours, we couldn't hear ourselves think. This is not the restaurants fault. But more and more this is the case in restaurants and I do believe it is the place of the restaurant to ask people to respect other diners. Without having to be asked to do so. Just keep the peace and a cordial atmosphere for everyone. My dining experience was seriously spoiled.

This establishment has the potential to be the finest steakhouse in all of Glasgow. Upon our arrival, an elderly gentleman greeted us with a warm smile and promptly served us drinks at the bar while we waited for our table to be prepared. The food was exceptional; we ordered a bone-in ribeye and a boneless sirloin, both cooked to perfection. Our waitress demonstrated great skill and attentiveness throughout the meal. As a delightful gesture, we were offered complimentary espressos at the end of our meal. I highly recommend this establishment and will certainly return in the future.

A great find in Glasgow. Small relaxes steak joint with great atmosphere and service. The steak is excellent. Melt in the mouth good. Great sides if you fancy a bit extra. Good drinks and cocktails. The sticky toffee pudding and ice cream is a real memory of Glasgow. It was the best I tasted... The ice cream yiy could stick your face in good 🤣

My partner and I ate here last night and both enjoyed our steak, it was cooked perfectly and the chips were spot on. The decor was fresh and the restaurant was very clean. The staff were incredibly cheerful, it's the happiest restaurant I've ever been to! It's set the bar high for the rest of our stay in Glasgow!

Just had the most delicious dinner of fillet steak and scallops to start. Best fillet steak I've ever had 🍣

Service was great, very attentive but not overbearing. Perfectly cooked rare steak, chips and probably the best peppercorn sauce I’ve had. But regardless of how good the steak main was, the haggis starter completely over shadowed it, from the sweet turnip puree, crispy potato tweel to the haggis ‘wellington’ it was beautiful. Perfectly peppery and I’ll be dreaming of it for weeks.

If you want to eat real Scottish meat dishes, and meat in general, this is the place for you. Large Scottish beef steaks, to the point, very good. The service, as always in Scotland, was very friendly, courteous and quick. If we ever come back here, we'll do it again at any time.

Best food, best service, best steak I've had in the UK

My husband had been wanting a tomahawk steak for years, but in the US they are just way too expensive so when we came across this place and saw they had it on their menu at a much more affordable price than the US we had to get it and let me tell you it did not disappoint! It was absolute perfection and cooked beautifully! The flavor was so good and the garlic butter and red wine au jus paired so perfectly with it. The truffle fries were also a 10/10. Even dessert was delicious and it was homemade vanilla ice cream. Our server Mac was also so great and attentive and super nice. We left feeling so full, but perfectly satisfied. It was delicous and next time we're back in Glasgow we'll definitely be stopping by again.

Have been wanting to try this place for a long time and I finally did. All I have to say is Wow! The steaks exceeded my expectation. The bone-in côte du boeuf was so flavourful and tender, I asked for medium doneness and it turned out perfectly done. And I mean Perfect! The edge was a little charred which enhances caramelised flavour, the inside was juicy, tender and pink. My partner had the sirloin medium well done, the top layer fat was also perfectly done with some parts crunchy and packed with buttery flavour. All steaks come with choice of a side and small amount of salad. The côte du boeuf and sirloin were huge in portions. I had to bag half of them home and they still tasted so nice! We chose Peppercorn sauce which was cooked with mushrooms, again top notch. The house red Romanian Malbec was easy to drink and good. Service was prompt and attentive, the boys checked on us regularly. As the restaurant has limited tables (say around 10), reservation is highly recommended. Definitely will return! 👍🏼
