Popped in today and managed to get a table as they were very busy so enjoyed our usual wonderful lunch. Always cooked to perfection and the famous "Richard's chips" were fantastic. They are dog friendly too so our wee pooch Alvah had a great time being petted by other visitors.

Absolutely disrespectfull and hostile place. We arrived with our family in a campervan, just to have a coffee for take away. Stop for 5 min. Strange guy started banging on the front of our car as apparently we Parked in a wrong spot and that the owners don't like when someone parks there. So we moved our campervan where he wanted and we blocked the way out/in. Woman and a man who were serving us were giving us very angry looks. We piad £10 for 2 small coffees and a wee muffin (from Deep frost). Even my 2.5 years old daugher said that "they weren't nice" ! Put a sign up that you don't like to serve people from campervans or foreign as your place isn't welcoming anyway! We don't recommend at all.

What a happy accident finding this place on the way to Inverness! It was adorable inside and we were greeted by a very friendly lady (who I assume was the owner, although I didn’t ask). I would recommend going st least an hour before close if you are looking for food as the restaurant does close before they café does. We had a great mocha and chai latte, and got to meet the highland cows too!

What a wonderful little cafe & gift shop. The owners were very friendly & the food was excellent & well priced. A bonus they have 5 hairy coos that you can feed (1$ bag). They don’t charge extra to see the coos people were stopping along the road just to see them!

What a lovely little gem of a coffee shop / gift shop. Popped in for a coffee and light bite. Their gifts were beautiful and some hand made by the owners. We ended up coming away with a beautiful hand crafted and paint table lamp. Highly recommend a stop here. The owners were polite and place and facilities were very clean. Food was very delicious too. It’s beautiful location, the fact it was well maintained, ample parking, the lovely food on offer and the friendly owners made it a most enjoyable experience. This is a lovely location, worth stopping for at least getting a bag of goodies to lure the "hairy coos" over for a photo op. But if you're hungry, stay for the fantastic food as well. We had a steak burger and the Highland beef chili, both perfect for the chilly and rainy day and being locally sourced, was high quality and flavorful. We ordered a scone and toffee muffin for takeaway and later enjoyed the homemade treats. Delicious! We arrived here on a rainy day when there were flood alerts around Scotland. The owners asked about peoples' travel plans and checked out any road closures and gave great advice about the best routes to take for safety. Also, since we fed the Highland cows after we ate, the owner suggested we come back in afterwards to wash our hands, which was a nice offer. We were made to feel at home and welcome in this little treasure of a place.

I went to Urquhart Castle on August 19, 2023, and then on to Eilean Donan Castle. Nestled right between the two locations was this cafe had delicious food. Leanne was welcoming and I selected the Vegan Pastie from her various selections. There is an additional bonus to this cafe, however. They sell a bag of food for the coos across the road! Note: prepare yourself for the coo to engulf your entire hand when it takes food from it. I’m from Alabama and used to properly mannered southern cows gingerly taking the food from your hand. This coo took my hand in like a hillbilly with a chicken wing and sucked up everything that was attached into the full of his mouth. You’ve been warned!

After spending 3 days at this point camping in my car whilst travelling the Highlands on a business commission. I had all but given up hope of enjoying any sort of a cooked meal outwith the dried pasta packets I had packed with me. Covid had surely shut down all cafes even for takeaway on my very long wet trip a good meal was greatly missed, all hope was gone until I suddenly spotted a sign at the side of the road, brakes applied and a sharp left turn to happily discover they were infact open and took card payments! Praise the lord i had found the gates of heaven! Beautiful covered seating area outside, friendly owners and the most amazing labrador retriever named finn who kept me company. The breakfast was the best I've ever eaten and im incredibly fussy with food, the tea was lovely, the shop immaculate and toilet facilities open with hilarious wee wall signs for pee time entertainment. I only returned from my trip this morning 3 days early after 5 days away and this wee cafe was the most welcoming and friendly human interaction I had from my entire trip up north, miles better than the "rona rage" I faced from a very expensive hotel I booked into last night. I have been raving about the service I received here and the stunning wood turned items for sale handmade by the owner himself! I will most definitely detour here again and encourage everyone to do the same. The owners were a breath of fresh air and made me feel welcome, the only time I felt welcome in the Highlands and not treated like a plague carrying danger. Thank you for your pleasant welcome and the blether x

This was a wonderful discovery off the net. Small place with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was superb! The couple take great pride and put in so much effort in the preparation and presentation of the food.A lot of the stuff that they use is grown in their own vegetable patch. Delicious and fresh. We had limited stuff but the best of the lot was their chicken salad that was a visual delight and gourmet stuff. The roasted salmon soup was excellent. We thought the venison burger was OK but maybe we are not experts on that. The mushroom soup was also very good.I strongly recommend this place. You must stop here for a lovely lunch.

We have a delicious afternoon tea at The Snug today. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. Lots of thought is put into the afternoon tea with a great choices of sandwiches, yummy homemade sausage roll, scone and lots of delicious sweet treats. I would highly recommend this just make sure to book in advance because obviously this needs to be prepared. Excellent value for money. Great atmosphere too.

We didn’t have a booking but the restaurant fitted us in which we really appreciated. We were not disappointed the food was exceptional and so was the service. The menu is small, but perfect. We all ordered a different main course and none of us were disappointed. I have a starter again, beautiful and the rest of the party a dessert again fantastic. The complimentary soup was a nice touch too. It was the first evening of our stay and it could not have been any better. A really great restaurant. Thank you.

On our holiday in Glenelg we popped into this cafe, which is popular with both locals and visitors. We only had coffee, but the food on offer looked very tasty. The owner was very friendly and helpful. There is ample parking nearby. Overall a nice place for a snack. Highly recommend.

A lovely cafe, very cute and delicious food. Well worth a stop, my only feedback would be that the food could have been served hotter. Thank you ☺️
