Great lunch of home made soup and a coffee, followed by delicious cake. We also purchased a lovely handmade wooden lamp base made by the owner.

This is a lovely location, worth stopping for at least getting a bag of goodies to lure the "hairy coos" over for a photo op. But if you're hungry, stay for the fantastic food as well. We had a steak burger and the Highland beef chili, both perfect for the chilly and rainy day and being locally sourced, was high quality and flavorful. We ordered a scone and toffee muffin for takeaway and later enjoyed the homemade treats. Delicious! We arrived here on a rainy day when there were flood alerts around Scotland. The owners asked about peoples' travel plans and checked out any road closures and gave great advice about the best routes to take for safety. Also, since we fed the Highland cows after we ate, the owner suggested we come back in afterwards to wash our hands, which was a nice offer. We were made to feel at home and welcome in this little treasure of a place.

As well as the tables in the cafe, there are outside tables with covers to protect from the wind and rain. We had some delicious freshly made sandwiches and the burger with great chips. I went to Urquhart Castle on August 19, 2023, and then on to Eilean Donan Castle. Nestled right between the two locations was this cafe had delicious food. Leanne was welcoming and I selected the Vegan Pastie from her various selections. There is an additional bonus to this cafe, however. They sell a bag of food for the coos across the road! Note: prepare yourself for the coo to engulf your entire hand when it takes food from it. I’m from Alabama and used to properly mannered southern cows gingerly taking the food from your hand. This coo took my hand in like a hillbilly with a chicken wing and sucked up everything that was attached into the full of his mouth. You’ve been warned!

After spending 3 days at this point camping in my car whilst travelling the Highlands on a business commission. I had all but given up hope of enjoying any sort of a cooked meal outwith the dried pasta packets I had packed with me. Covid had surely shut down all cafes even for takeaway on my very long wet trip a good meal was greatly missed, all hope was gone until I suddenly spotted a sign at the side of the road, brakes applied and a sharp left turn to happily discover they were infact open and took card payments! Praise the lord i had found the gates of heaven! Beautiful covered seating area outside, friendly owners and the most amazing labrador retriever named finn who kept me company. The breakfast was the best I've ever eaten and im incredibly fussy with food, the tea was lovely, the shop immaculate and toilet facilities open with hilarious wee wall signs for pee time entertainment. I only returned from my trip this morning 3 days early after 5 days away and this wee cafe was the most welcoming and friendly human interaction I had from my entire trip up north, miles better than the "rona rage" I faced from a very expensive hotel I booked into last night. I have been raving about the service I received here and the stunning wood turned items for sale handmade by the owner himself! I will most definitely detour here again and encourage everyone to do the same. The owners were a breath of fresh air and made me feel welcome, the only time I felt welcome in the Highlands and not treated like a plague carrying danger. Thank you for your pleasant welcome and the blether x

We stopped here while driving from Skye to Inverness and what a great decision! Fun, funky place with very friendly owners who live right next door. The Cullen Skink I had was fantastic, made with love. Came with some excellent whole grain bread as well. And as a bonus, we purchased some food to feed the cows across the road - so much fun and a great photo op! Definitely worth a stop!

Although it was not in our route we decided to drive there, good decision. We had a lovely lunch and saw the cows. Service was very attentive. I definitely would go back again.

We had given up hoping for a coffee/brunch stop on a very wet day, then suddenly came across this cafe. Good coffee, great food, friendly owners, nice ambience. A great find.

On our drive from Isle of Skye to Inverness we spotted this cafe (about 15 min drive from Eileen Donan Castle). The owners are lovely and the food was delicious (we had pies that the owner makes himself). The scotch pie is to die for. This place is very clean, fun (you can feed the cows) and unexpected.

Fab Highland burger and veggie burger with salad and the works. The burger was out of the ordinary a real juicy butchers burger with delicious haggis topping. Tea with extra water and milk. Wonderful
