I had such a nice evening at The Goat in the Tree. The staff, services and food were amazing. I would recommend the sharing platter appetiser

Lovely dinner out for 2 on a Friday night. The restaurant was very accommodating by fitting us in for a last minute booking in the late evening. We enjoyed a couple of starters, the goat tagine with couscous, ans the gorgeous caramel cheesecake. The restaurant is homely and welcoming, will definitely be back.

Great experience in this restaurant. Second time we visited it today. We arrived without reservation and we got a wee table. We ordered sausages and chicken pastilla as starters - both were delicious, especially the pastilla. For mains, we got the lamb tagine and the chicken tagine with couscous. Both of them were delicious, the meat melted in your mouth and the flavour of both tagines was incredible! The portions were quite big and we were so full we couldn't order any dessert. We will come back to eat the Moroccan crepes -Msemmen- next time. We got them the first time and they were so tasty!

First visit to goat in the tree and we were not disappointed. My partner and I booked the restaurant for our 10 year anniversary and it was the perfect intimate setting with a maximum of 6 tables. The food was incredible, cooked fresh and so flavoursome. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for authentic Moroccan food in Glasgow.

Amazing food. The lamb tagine is probably the best item on the menu. Every visit is worth it and the staff are friendly. The place is fairly small but does have bookings online so having a few people isn't a problem. The desserts are just as good as the mains and well worth revisiting.

We arrived at 5:50pm(we reserved a table at 6pm) looking forward to a delicious meal and meeting up with family for a catch-up, to be told our table wasn't ready please come back at 6. OK, we were early, so that was our fault and the place is tiny so they can't accommodate people standing about... but it should have rung alarm bells of what was to come... We ordered the sharing platter to start which was delicious, followed by the goat tagine and Moroccan chicken, both dishes were hearty if a touch bland, but tasty nonetheless. You're possibly wondering, so why the low score? Well, here it comes... We were looking forward to dessert( the cheesecake reviews were awesome) , when we eventually caught the server's eye to ask for the dessert menu we were told, we don't have time to have a dessert as the next diners were due in at 7:45.... it was now 7:37pm.WHAT???? I appreciate the place is tiny, but after spending close to £100( in total) for food ( party of 3) I didn't see that coming!! I've never been hoofed out of a restaurant to make way for the"next round of diners" There was no mention of a 105 minute dining curfew when we booked online, or indeed when we eventually got to our table. To say we were stunned was an understatement. If we wanted a fast food type experience we would have gone elsewhere. We ordered the desserts to go, received then in a paperbag and went home feeling slightly disgruntled.... Not the best experience

Awwww I LOVE this place! Visited for the first time last night after walking past it for a few months and being charmed by the name and observing how busy it is, and the warm atmosphere radiating from it. A wee restaurant, just 5 or 6 tables but such a cosy and inviting space, with twinkly lights and lanterns. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. My pal and I shared hummus (AMAZING HUMMUS) and pitta and then both had lamb tagine. It was so flavoursome and warming and sweet and savoury. The chefs here are skilled. I'll be back for sure! 💓

Still dreaming about that lamb tagine with the prunes. The starter platter was just enough for the 3 of us, everything on it was really good, included wings which aren't in the photo. We got 2 mains between the 3 of us, they were just enough but next time I'm going to keep that tagine all for myself, it was so good lol Service was good, not sure of our server was new but it seemed like she was still learning. Lovely girl though, nothing against her. There is a service charge added to your bill if you are wary of such things. Atmosphere was relaxed. I will definitely be back.

The restaurant is small but very busy; we visited at 7.45pm on a Tuesday, and every table was occupied until the restaurant closed. I would highly recommend booking ahead or risk disappointment Having been to Morocco a few years back and falling in love with the country and cuisine, we realised it was difficult to find a restaurant in Scotland that served authentic Moroccan cuisine. When planning a trip to Glasgow, we booked a table after looking over the menu and seeing that pastillas were on offer; my husband practically lived on this dish during our holiday, but unfortunately these have proved impossible for us to find in Scotland and a difficult dish to master making at home. Overall our visit here was a no brainer. The food was absolutely incredible and seasoned impeccably. The pastilla, which after years of waiting had a lot to live up to, was absolutely incredible. We also had the Merguez, lamb tagine, Moroccan chicken, baklava, and m'semmen; all were wonderful and we'd forgotten what a great tagine should taste like. In total the meal came to around £51 which I think is more than reasonable for three courses for two people in 2024. Due to the exceptional quality of the meal, we spoke to the waitress when she was clearing our table (I think her name was Kirsty? - she was really lovely!) and spoke about how we had tried to find pastillas in Scotland and how very much we had enjoyed our food. When the time came to pay, she had passed our praise on to the chef and he came out to thank us personally with, to my husband's joy, a pastilla for us to take home. This was a complete surprise and was appreciated very much by us. All of the staff care deeply about their restaurant and the experience of their guests, and all were absolutely lovely. We are still stunned by their generosity and kindness. We will definitely be back when we are next in Glasgow!

Authentic Moroccan food in Glasgow. My friend and I were in Scotland for the weekend, we searched for Middle Eastern/North African restaurants and here we are, we ended up in Goat in the tree. Lovely and cozy vibe in this place. I also admired the fact that it is a family business, serving authentic Moroccan recipes. The meatballs and lamb tajin were amazing, served with couscous on the side. We also ordered a side of traditional bread which was really good. If you’re there, don’t forget to order mint tea, it’s the best. We were lucky to find an empty table for 1hr or so.. but I think it is best to book a table here as the place is bit small and might not lack availability. Will definitely visit again next time in Glasgow.

A hidden place in Kelvinbride area. Their morrocan menu and food was delicious, very tasty, good portions and well priced. The restaurant has a very homely feel to ot and is tucked away from the main street. We were seating near to the main doors and the only annoying part was takeaway people coming and going while we having our dinner. It's good to see they are busy as the food was great, but having a dinner and being interrupted constantly with people coming and going next to you wasn't best. Service was attentive and very nice. They desserts and teas are also great, a must try. I also noted that they have an extended menu with pasta and pizza, I assume it's purely for take away purposes, but I felt it slightly clashed with authenticity of the Moroccan theme.

We ordered a 3 tier pre iced sponges with decorations, the cakes arrived to us in Clacton, they were packed brilliantly we knew exactly what day it was arriving, looked amazing, we added some of our own decoration ideas on as well on the day, this was for our wedding cake looked just as we wished at a fraction of cost compared to prices of local bakers/cake makers. The cake was amazing, had so many people comment on it. The communication from them was helpful throughout. Thank you so much to team at Cloud Nine xxx

Outstanding food, and service. Family owned restaurant and it mirrors with the personal service. You won't get a better steak in Glasgow.

Absolutely top notch. 10/10 would recommend. When are you going overseas? Can't wait for Tandoori Choice to open in The Netherlands!
