Anytime I go to this Burger King, I've never had an issue. I always get the same thing. A plain double whopper. A good sign for any restaurant is when they don't accidently put cheese on. McDonald's is horrible for this. However, this Burger King branch in the Kennedy Centre has never done it to me. The Burgers for me have always been delicious. Never cold or burnt. I can't speak for everyone, though. I tend to go during the quiet times of the day, so perhaps it's why I get better versions of the food. Just remember. People tend to review when they're angry about a restaurant, so if it's in the 3s. It's probably not that bad in truth. The food court is very spacious, and there are always around 3 to 4 people cleaning it up. So it's never dirty. The staff seem friendly. Often, they're foreigners, so they're hard to understand a little with accents, but they couldn't be nicer. Anyway, don't be put by this Burger King. I've had nothing but good experiences so far.

I was part of a group which ate at the Winter Mill restaurant in January 2024, and sadly none of us will be looking to repeat the experience. The soup starter was indifferent, but problems really began with the main courses, which in my case consisted of what was quite-obviously the starter version of the dish I’d ordered. Our waitress saw nothing wrong with the very-small portion offered, but was eventually prevailed upon to return with the full-size version of the dish. This was thankfully a bit warmer than the original offering, although the “grilled halloumi” centrepiece was actually deep-fried. We should have probably cut our losses at this point, but instead requested the dessert menu, which was duly presented after an interval of about fifteen minutes. Several of us ordered the sticky toffee pudding, which was tepid and stale to the extent that most of us abandoned our attempts to eat. Our waitress, once again, saw no reason to remark on dishes being returned three-quarters uneaten. I’ve given two stars rather than one as my dining companions fared somewhat better with their mains. The Winter Mill confidently aspires to the prices of a quality contemporary restaurant, but makes no effort to provide commensurate standards of food or service.

It's actually bizarre how atrocious this place is, and it still seems capable of operating. I popped in here a few years back with my partner, it was middling then. Yesterday, I'd had a long day and was parked nearby for heading home and thought - I'll chance a fillet burger before I drive. So my order after not too bad a wait arrived. I was asked - 'sit in or take out'? I replied 'take out' One moment later I was handed the order on a tray (by the same girl). The burger wasn't the worst - the fries were strange in texture and appearance - but not only that - they were cold too. The flaccid pepsi max was a delight. I decided to sit in after all. I used extra napkins to clean the floor under my feet - chunks of lettuce, chips etc. A first for me. The table too obviously. I'm not blaming the staff here - whoever owns this joint clearly doesn't give a s**t about cleanliness or food for that matter, the whole thing is a mess and a fuppin' disgrace. I've only ever left feedback like this on tripadvisor when I've thought that perhaps it may be taken on board - as otherwise the establishment I'm talking about has some redeeming qualities. Not so here. In my 53 years I've tried KFC here (twice), once in dublin (inedible through grease all over food (Tallaght)), was about to in Sligo one evening when I saw a conficted felon preparing the food and left. (Nothing wrong with employing young offenders but I had previous experience of the guy - and there was a distinct hygiene issue with this young man). Bye bye KFC. It wasn't nice knowing you.

Never really had a good experience here, the food often comes out cold and the staff are talking to each other instead of serving the line of customers behind me. I can't even confirm or deny if they've stopped doing gluten-free pizzas because they're being obtuse about it

Best Chinese takeaway in Derry, in my humble opinion. Portion sizes are huge, prices are decent, food tastes great and my order is always ready to pick up by the time I get to the door. Been going there for years and I’ve never had a complaint. Highly recommend the Munchy Box for sharing.
