McDonald's in Belfast

Just got a meal from there and it was honestly gross, but cold fries and a from.a double burger one of them was a quarter of a burger and the while burger had completely fell apart as well as it being cold. Too many bad experiences of the quality of the food here, wont be back.

Me, my daughter and my mum went for a treat. I ordered one big mac and apple pie. When the burger arrived it only had the meat (no bun or salad). Also smelt like fish it made me gag... To top it of the apple pie was replaced with apple slices. When i raised the issue with the staff. One of them grunted and started punching the till. My 30 year old daughter was in tears and couldn't stop shaking. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AVOID!!

If I could give it 0 stars I would, sickening delivery service especially on just eat if you're looking for something quick or SOMETHING THAT'LL ACTUALLY ARRIVE AT ALL!! Do NOT order from here. Marked my order as delivered when it clearly hadn't been and no refund or option to call them was given. Horrible customer service and even worse delivery drivers.

I ordered food in the app and wanted to pick it up. I was told that this was only possible with a car and that there was no other option. A questionable corporate strategy, especially in times of climate change, which unfortunately emphasises the chain's reputation for making profit at the expense of the environment. Unfortunately, I had another bad experience with the chain, in addition to the already questionable quality of the food

Slow service in drive through and wrong order delivered to car had to go in and collect items missing from the order

I am actually fuming !! I ordered my food at 5.30PM, its 7.30PM and im still waiting with the excuse on the app saying they had to find a new driver. and now suddently they cancelled my order without so much of an explanation. and i have 3 kids in the house waiting for dinner.... good job mcdonalds !!!

Went to This McDonald's tonight Saturday 30th November, ordered our food for table service. We waited 20 minutes for food, when we enquire we were told that delivery orders take priority over in store orders. We then waited again until we managed to ask a manager what was happening, after a cheeky reply from the manager, we had to ask for a refund. Ended up going across the road to KFC no queue for our food and helpful staff.

Called in today to get something to eat I was ignored whole time while i was waiting to be served at the counter as I didn't want to use the order machine 1 floor staff was wondering around the restaurant didn't even bother asking If need any help , while 1staff member appeared from th kitchen ignored me then walked back into the kitchen

The food isn't good for you, but it tastes good and is quick and reasonably priced.

It's become a nightmare from the refit. Called one night to be told they closed due to no food and no staff It's supposed to be 24 hour. But when you do get to order its never right always items missing and you never find out until you get home and it's a nightmare using customer services to complain as they always fob you off with a free medium meal which I'm a couple of instances never even came close to missing or incorrect items in my order.

Service is great, food is what it is.

This McDonald's is always busy and crowded, orders always wrong.

Security having hassle with young teens trying to gain entry. They were very patient but firm with them as they were making lots of noise.

Twas me and the woman ordering two mcflurries and the staff delivered them with such efficiency and top tier quality I damn near crawled through the drive through window to shake their hands.

Absolutely terrible everything! I was waiting in my car at disabled spot for at least 20 min. I ordered two plane burger for my kids and guess what I had when I got home ? Cheese burgers!!! Is difficult to understand? So annoying. Was driving after long day at work and my kids still hungry. Suppose to be a surprise for them

It's a McDonald's, a nice clean McDonald's serving McDonald's food reasonably quickly and reasonably hot.

Order no 2087 Ordered fro.m Dundonald branch at 20.42 on Friday 18th Oct and they kept changing my timings .It eventually arrived at 22.10 stone cold and ice cream melted( it was like a drink) Mcdonalds had obviously cooked it right away and left it sitting for hour and half.Tried to ring Uber to complain but no answer.But I do think McDonald's should have had the sense to do a new order

Not the most comfortable McDonald's, the seats are oddly placed with no clear view of privacy. It's also incredibly busy most of the time so you can't be shocked if you're kept waiting for your food. Maybe I'm being too negative here, but the quality of the food doesn't seem to be as good as Knockagoney's. Still, it's McDonald's, you can't complain. The highest value for your buck when it comes to cheap fast food and definitely satisfies you if you eat a few double cheeseburgers.

Shockingly bad at getting deliveries right. Their inability to put in the bag, what is on the receipt in front of them, suggests a level of incompetence that is mind boggling. You are pretty much guaranteed to get a delivered order that it wrong.

A recent redesign has removed the last few elements of pleasure from a visit to McDonalds at Connswater. The interior is now an afterthought; deliveries and drive-throughs have annexed the space. Another erosion of communal places -we are meant to enjoy McDonalds separated in our car interior or in our home now. The restaraunt interior withers away. The great visual epicentre of McDonalds that was the till and the back-lit banner menu high above the heads of the staff with its impossibly beautiful burgers, the experience of queueing, greeting, and paying. All this was already dying but now its destruction is complete. The attenuated interior is decorated without attention or care. The shining plastics and vinyls; fake plants; and bad art of my youth now a golden age in retrospect. Surfaces and materials that were lustrous and joyful by contrast. My burger was cold and the Coke always tastes soapy but that I can forgive.

Able to order in the store as its not that busy early this morning. My app isn't working right with my card payment not processing so have to pay inside. And got my card tap on the machine . For some reason the apps doesn't work as good as it used to before.

This is the absolute worst McDonald's I've ever been in and makes the Knocknagoney one (2nd worst) seem like it's got a Michelin star. Ever since the re-fit over the summer it has gone to the absolute dogs. It is like a cattle market when you go in. The counter is on your right when you enter and there are so many people waiting in the lobby that it is difficult to even get through the door let alone get to one of the order screens - which are often broken anyway. Ordering in advance by the app doesn't make things any quicker... I waited over 25 mins for 2 coffees the other evening as it was just so busy and can only assume the amount of staff was totally unable to deal with the amount of customers. A victim of their own success? Funny tho that the delivery drivers (who now gladly have their own door) come and go with great frequency and staff can be seen constantly setting out bag after bag for them to collect yet the rate at which the regular customers are handed out their orders is painful. It seems that delivery orders are prepared far qucker and given preferential treatment than those who don't pay through the nose for the pleasure of cold food being brought to them. Lots of customers appeared at the door and then turned and left when they saw the state of the place - being barely unable to get through the door without feeling you were trying to get round the dancefloor at Kelly's. Feel for the staff who are clearly run off their feet all shift and constantly seeming to be correcting orders - but maybe bring more of them in or provide them better equipment to deal with the floods of people.

It was closed for six weeks for a refurb. Definitely not an improvement. Still cramped and crowded.

The Mccrispy meal which I ordered today was pathetic the burger buns are burned. So pathetic

Abysmal. Slow service and cold food. Manager lacking in basic skills. Staff incapable of dealing with orders in efficient manner. Go elsewhere.

Shockingly slow, food cold, unpleasant staff who couldn't cope with a slightly busy spell, shelves full of just eat Orders left to go cold. Had to complain after 17mins without any food whilst sitting watching other orders go out. God forbid you want to customise a burger or have a plain cheeseburger. Just like most McDonald's these days, they only care about drive thru orders and to help with anyone who goes inside. Don't waste your time, or money. Try the KFC beside it instead.

Ordered two wrap of the days. Was charged full price and told the order board at the drive thru was incorrect in saying that the sweet chilli chicken one was the wrap of the day.

This McDonald's has had a major refurbishment and it has made the service much smoother.

Absolutely disgusted me Donald's in general but last few time was in here tonight waited ages was told to go to bay 2 having a autistic child going nuts waiting to get food rushed home to find half my order was missing.. I would stop getting but only food my autistic child eats and hers wasn't there 🤬🤬🤬

Order from here every Sat night. Ordered 20 chicken nuggets the past 2 weeks qbd got 18 last week and 19 this week. Also ordered 4 x BBQ sauce each time. Didn't get any last week and only got 3 this week.

Probably one of the worst McDonald's in Northern Ireland. Avoid this McDonald's, 99% of the time the will get your order wrong. They recently closed it for a few weeks to try and make it better, they made it 100% worse! 0 improvement on what it was before. It always has massive queues for its drive through which is going to cause an accident.

All started when I was hungry after a nice wee date. It was lovely so we thought we were smart getting the 3 for 3 deal. I had a really good 2 burgers and my partner had chicken nuggets. The nuggets so warm that her mouth was brunt. To top it all off I used my app reward points to get some chips… THEY FORGOT THEM. as you can tell I’m actually not happy about this and I would like to be in contact with Roland McDonald himself.

Food was prepared as we waited and was tasty. Chips were spot on too. I know it's McDonald's but I'm reviewing as over in Scotland the foods normally look warm and chips soggy. So fair play to the team here

Ordered the offer which had to be delivered via Uber Eats. The App said delivery time would be 7.05pm and we watched the driver on the app faff about for 25 minutes stopping here and stopping there before arriving at 7.30pm with cold food for us.

Only really use it when I am on the move. Food is OK for what it is. It fills a hole.

Ordené salir de aquí la semana pasada y me dieron lo incorrecto en el drive through, volví después de unos 10 15 minutos cuando me di cuenta de que era el pedido incorrecto y me negaron un reembolso o incluso una corrección de pedido por el gerente extremadamente ignorante e incompetente, volví esta noche y me entregaron el pedido incorrecto de nuevo por la ventana, por suerte nos dimos cuenta de que era lo incorrecto esta vez antes de salir así que lo corrigieron, pero la actitud del personal es de un servicio al cliente extremadamente pobre y que no les podía importar, es como si quien posee este específico nunca está allí y esto se hace dolorosamente obvio por la falta de respeto dado por el personal.

Avoid at all costs, feels like they’ve just asked a couple of people off the street if they can work the kitchen for them with no training, extremely poorly managed, not helpful in the slightest, one thing they’re consistently good at is being the worst McDonald’s in the country, if I could give 0 stars for service I would 👍🏼

Can't add bacon to a quarter cheese, can't add lettuce either, apparently it's because staff aren't very smart, this makes it easier for them to do their job. That's what the crew member said when I questioned it, left me absolutely speechless tbh. Not experienced this at any other McDonalds, but this appears to be since the recent refit was done.

Useless… ordered twice and still no sauces.

I placed an order via Mcdelivery as we couldn't get the offer in the branch. Ordered arrived quite quickly. Once I had opened the bag I realised a burger was missing. Tried ringing the branch but went onto an answering machine. I took all of the order down to Connswater. I was told that all of the order had been put in the bag. (In other words I was a liar) I told the assistant that I had opened it and it was not in the bag. He then told me they would replace the missing burger and walked off. When he came back I said I wanted it all replaced as by now everything was cold. He said that's not our policy. I then asked for the manager. Off he went and arrived back a few minutes later to tell me the manager said they would only be replacing the missing burger. That's when I said let me speak to the manager. Off he went again, came back lifted the rest of the order and walked off again. 10 minutes later he arrived back with the complete order and set it down on the counter. He didn't speak or make any eye contact. I was very polite and said thank you, grabbed my order and walked out. I think a little more training needs to happen as this experience today definitely wasn't good.

**update since 'refit'** this place is laughable. It's been closed for a 6 week £1million refit and the main big sign still has a big bit missing, the parking is still horrendous, and the inside of the restaurant is as bad, in fact worse (it looks like its been done for the sake of it), the staff as miserable still getting simple orders wrong, and the printers on the order machines still don't work. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. As below. Of the McDonald's in the East Belfast area, I would stay away from this one at all costs. The drive through is always a shambles, unfriendly, mumbled, frequently get something as simple as a plain burger in a happy meal wrong. Ordering inside isn't much better and even at 8am the staff are monosyllabic (Google it). It also seems to be a central hang out place for fast food delivery drivers so they block the entrance and parking. And entrance and egress in general is appalling and if busy you often can't get out as the drive thru queue blocks exit (surely an issue if an emergency vehicle needed to get in). I've been told it's the busiest McDonald's in NI, but this doesn't seem to be a good thing. The service, food quality and order accuracy is 100% better at Knocknagoney, Dundonald, Saintfield Rd and Sprucefield to name but a few. I had better service at the McDonald's at Gatwick Airport. Only the Belfast city centre one is worse. Something tells me the refit it's getting won't help. Same miserable staff in the same miserable area with the same entitled miserable customer base. Avoid avoid avoid.

Despite a renovation the quality of this particular mcdonalds is still shocking. Very slow service at the drive through, usually being asked to park in one of the bays, and food always comes out cold or missing an item. You have to ask for napkins and dips after receiving your order while checking to make sure it's all there. I've lost hope for this one

I ordered three large burger meals and a cheese share box. It was a takeout. One burger was missing. It wasn't even that busy it seemed that they had enough staff at the moment. I don't understand how can they miss an entire meal. Very bad service.

apparently the store will be closed until end of June, no signs, no warning, no info on the website. I showed up with a number of other people to all be turned away. Builders advised they have been left to turn everyone away this morning as nobody was aware. shocking.

Worst McDonald's ever, Waited for 20 mins only to receive the wrong order (again). Staff rude and very unprofessional to deal with.

Just wanted to comment on the exceptional service we received today from one of your staff at McDonalds Connswater, learned from her colleagues her name is Fay, nothing was too much trouble and it was lovely to receive such thoughtful and professional service.

Always quick and efficient, if people actually ordered what they wanted and didn’t over complicate a simple McDonald’s meal they wouldn’t have anything to complain about, dips get missed and occasionally forget napkins but never any issues asking at the drive thru window for them, sometimes pulled into a bay but it’s never longer than 5 minutes, this is the best and quickest McDonald’s in the country and I’ve never had a wrong order.

Disgraceful customer service from the restaurant manager, didn't catch his name and he wasn't wearing a name badge. Just Eat delivered our order to the wrong address, we tried calling Conswater McDonald's multiple times to explain the situation but they wouldn't answer the phone. Eventually drove down to enquire in person, where the restaurant manager was ultra-defensive from the off. Just repeatedly said "my hands are tied, nothing I can do". We pointed out they contract Just Eat to deliver their food, surely there's a process for when this happens? He just said they are really bad at deliveries, happens all the time, nothing he can do. He then actually used the words "what do you want me to do, lay down and cry about it?". Horrendous way to talk to a potential customer in any industry. He did offer discount on a new order after 5 minutes of "there's nothing I can do", but by that stage we didn't want to give the restaurant any more money. Drove straight to Burger King in Forestside and had a great experience

I was int he connswater McDonald’s and I didn’t receive my triple cheeseburger and on top I didn’t receive 3 medium fry’s I’m I am fuming and I don’t understand this

Should have been a one star, but I was mad starving and at 4am choice is limited. I would have eaten the box which in all likelihood would have tasted just as lovely as the missing fries and dips that never arrived. There's a fantastic burger joint over on Botanic called Tribal Burger go there if you can.

Never go to McDonald's just drive Past it.

This restaurant is easily one of the worst McDonalds in the whole of the UK, I am not being dramatic, this particular McDonald’s does not giving a flying F about its customers. It’s actually a meme how often they forget to pack things into your bag be it fries, burgers, the little peeley promo things on the side of cups and fries during monopoly or winning sips, or dips (especially dips - they don’t bother, sincerely THEY DO NOT PACK DIPS EVEN IF YOU PAY FOR EXTRA, SO DON’T BOTHER!) They are impossible to contact as they have their phone lines turned off, even the delivery companies give up trying to contact them when there is an issue. The staff are completely useless, obviously they don’t take pride in their work. Sometimes they leave their deliveroo running despite not having the bloody tablet or printer turned on, so they aren’t actually receiving their orders. Which means 2 hours can go by before deliveroo or whoever decides to refund you. (I was told this the last time my order was over 2 hours late l, when I decided to go down to the store myself they then refused to make my order and told me I had to get deliveroo to cancel and I could re-order in store… shambolic) Apparently there is never a manager working to talk to. Honestly just don’t bother ordering McDonalds because these guys are horrendous

Terrible service. Got home wrong order. Had to wait in bay 1 got home no sausage in both meals. Phoned up took it back and wouldn’t give me a coffee as I didn’t bring the cold one back. I certainly won’t be back. Service is awful 😢

The fries were raw Also the got my order wrong I had ordered a wrap with only sauce and chicken and got only lettuce, while ordering the food the person taking the order was speak really fast and it seemed like she was just rush us to move on.

As a frequent fast-food patron, I was sorely disappointed with my recent visit to McDonald's. The overall experience left much to be desired. Firstly, the service was painfully slow, with long queues and disinterested staff who seemed more preoccupied with chatting amongst themselves than attending to customers. The food quality was subpar, with my burger tasting like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, and the fries were disappointingly soggy and lukewarm. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also concerning, with tables left dirty and a distinct lack of attention to hygiene. Overall, my experience at McDonald's was far from satisfactory, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Rule of thumb: never order soda drinks for delivery (unless they're bottled) - by the time you get the order the ice will be melted, it will be flat etc. Fries are best consumed fresh so another no no for deliveries.

This McDonald’s has consistently left out certain things from my order and the customer service is useless, refusing to offer any sort of refund or help.

Ordered 2x chicken mccrispy meals and didn't receive fries. Kept the order simple by ordering the same meals twice and they still manage to mess it up. You would think they would have someone checking the orders prior to sending. Absolute useless management, clearly lack of adequate training provided and lack of care. Not the first time this has happened either. Stupid of me for repeating to order from them. This will be the last. I expect fast food but not no food.

Everytime I go through the drive through here, they do not give me the correct order. I get home and am usually missing half of the meal or I have been given the completely wrong order. Most recently they have forgotten a wrap from a wrap meal, a burger and have gave me a sprite instead of a strawberry milkshake. It’s not hard.

Feels like being the lunch line in some eastern bloc mens prison with all the deliveroo drivers jostling around the tills in their track suits. Place is a hole. Drive through if you can or even better drive past.

place is an absolute disgrace. went in for an order and had to be about 15 delivery guys all shouting and arguing about picking up orders..all the orders where just sitting on the counter 20+ orders easy not being kept warm and i waited 30 mins and all them orders are still waiting to be delivered..i will never order a mcdonalds delivery of any of those apps

I am sorry to say I am disappointed in the service at McDonald’s and the standard of food, I’m there every Saturday and I always have to wait at least 25-30 minutes for my order and when I get it home it’s always cold, the worst thing they ever did was Uber eats and deliveroo because they seem to get preference over the customer in the restaurant. I get food for 6 people and spend anything from £30 to £40 so I expect my food to be warm but because they are so busy with the deliveries my food is left sitting until I complain and someone decides to pack it. Quite a few times I have got home home and some of my order is missing and I have to go back and your lucky if you get a sorry.I have also noticed in the drive tru you have to wait longer because of deliveries I was there last night getting a quarter pound cheeseburger meal with only cheese and ketchup and they parked me up and I had to wait over 10 minutes which is something I never did before deliveries started so come on McDonald’s look after all your customers not just the ones getting dliveries

The wait times are getting longer and longer every time you go. Everytime you go it is a guarantee you will be told to wait in a bay. Even if it’s for one meal. Used to be a great McDonald’s and it has really went downhill.

Missing big tasty, rest of the food was stone cold and no option on the Mc Donald's app to complain and delivery service is only able to refund £3, even if the missing item was £8. This is now the third time out of 5 that item is missing, we are honestly so disappointed and won't order again!

Don't go to this place they always leave out food on purpose and pretend they didn't know avoid at all cost or prepare to loose out in money and food then have staff make you out that your crazy when you go back. So either staff are taking money and pretending to take your order or the blind leads the blind in that place.
