Not the most comfortable McDonald's, the seats are oddly placed with no clear view of privacy. It's also incredibly busy most of the time so you can't be shocked if you're kept waiting for your food. Maybe I'm being too negative here, but the quality of the food doesn't seem to be as good as Knockagoney's. Still, it's McDonald's, you can't complain. The highest value for your buck when it comes to cheap fast food and definitely satisfies you if you eat a few double cheeseburgers.

A recent redesign has removed the last few elements of pleasure from a visit to McDonalds at Connswater. The interior is now an afterthought; deliveries and drive-throughs have annexed the space. Another erosion of communal places -we are meant to enjoy McDonalds separated in our car interior or in our home now. The restaraunt interior withers away. The great visual epicentre of McDonalds that was the till and the back-lit banner menu high above the heads of the staff with its impossibly beautiful burgers, the experience of queueing, greeting, and paying. All this was already dying but now its destruction is complete. The attenuated interior is decorated without attention or care. The shining plastics and vinyls; fake plants; and bad art of my youth now a golden age in retrospect. Surfaces and materials that were lustrous and joyful by contrast. My burger was cold and the Coke always tastes soapy but that I can forgive.

This is the absolute worst McDonald's I've ever been in and makes the Knocknagoney one (2nd worst) seem like it's got a Michelin star. Ever since the re-fit over the summer it has gone to the absolute dogs. It is like a cattle market when you go in. The counter is on your right when you enter and there are so many people waiting in the lobby that it is difficult to even get through the door let alone get to one of the order screens - which are often broken anyway. Ordering in advance by the app doesn't make things any quicker... I waited over 25 mins for 2 coffees the other evening as it was just so busy and can only assume the amount of staff was totally unable to deal with the amount of customers. A victim of their own success? Funny tho that the delivery drivers (who now gladly have their own door) come and go with great frequency and staff can be seen constantly setting out bag after bag for them to collect yet the rate at which the regular customers are handed out their orders is painful. It seems that delivery orders are prepared far qucker and given preferential treatment than those who don't pay through the nose for the pleasure of cold food being brought to them. Lots of customers appeared at the door and then turned and left when they saw the state of the place - being barely unable to get through the door without feeling you were trying to get round the dancefloor at Kelly's. Feel for the staff who are clearly run off their feet all shift and constantly seeming to be correcting orders - but maybe bring more of them in or provide them better equipment to deal with the floods of people.

Shockingly slow, food cold, unpleasant staff who couldn't cope with a slightly busy spell, shelves full of just eat Orders left to go cold. Had to complain after 17mins without any food whilst sitting watching other orders go out. God forbid you want to customise a burger or have a plain cheeseburger. Just like most McDonald's these days, they only care about drive thru orders and to help with anyone who goes inside. Don't waste your time, or money. Try the KFC beside it instead.

Probably one of the worst McDonald's in Northern Ireland. Avoid this McDonald's, 99% of the time the will get your order wrong. They recently closed it for a few weeks to try and make it better, they made it 100% worse! 0 improvement on what it was before. It always has massive queues for its drive through which is going to cause an accident.

All started when I was hungry after a nice wee date. It was lovely so we thought we were smart getting the 3 for 3 deal. I had a really good 2 burgers and my partner had chicken nuggets. The nuggets so warm that her mouth was brunt. To top it all off I used my app reward points to get some chips… THEY FORGOT THEM. as you can tell I’m actually not happy about this and I would like to be in contact with Roland McDonald himself.

Can't add bacon to a quarter cheese, can't add lettuce either, apparently it's because staff aren't very smart, this makes it easier for them to do their job. I placed an order via Mcdelivery as we couldn't get the offer in the branch. Ordered arrived quite quickly. Once I had opened the bag I realised a burger was missing. Tried ringing the branch but went onto an answering machine. I took all of the order down to Connswater. I was told that all of the order had been put in the bag. (In other words I was a liar) I told the assistant that I had opened it and it was not in the bag. He then told me they would replace the missing burger and walked off. When he came back I said I wanted it all replaced as by now everything was cold. He said that's not our policy. I then asked for the manager. Off he went and arrived back a few minutes later to tell me the manager said they would only be replacing the missing burger. That's when I said let me speak to the manager. Off he went again, came back lifted the rest of the order and walked off again. 10 minutes later he arrived back with the complete order and set it down on the counter. He didn't speak or make any eye contact. I was very polite and said thank you, grabbed my order and walked out. I think a little more training needs to happen as this experience today definitely wasn't good.

**update since 'refit'** this place is laughable. It's been closed for a 6 week £1million refit and the main big sign still has a big bit missing, the parking is still horrendous, and the inside of the restaurant is as bad, in fact worse (it looks like its been done for the sake of it), the staff as miserable still getting simple orders wrong, and the printers on the order machines still don't work. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. As below. Of the McDonald's in the East Belfast area, I would stay away from this one at all costs. The drive through is always a shambles, unfriendly, mumbled, frequently get something as simple as a plain burger in a happy meal wrong. Ordering inside isn't much better and even at 8am the staff are monosyllabic (Google it). It also seems to be a central hang out place for fast food delivery drivers so they block the entrance and parking. And entrance and egress in general is appalling and if busy you often can't get out as the drive thru queue blocks exit (surely an issue if an emergency vehicle needed to get in). I've been told it's the busiest McDonald's in NI, but this doesn't seem to be a good thing. The service, food quality and order accuracy is 100% better at Knocknagoney, Dundonald, Saintfield Rd and Sprucefield to name but a few. I had better service at the McDonald's at Gatwick Airport. Only the Belfast city centre one is worse. Something tells me the refit it's getting won't help. Same miserable staff in the same miserable area with the same entitled miserable customer base. Avoid avoid avoid.

Very slow service at the drive through, usually being asked to park in one of the bays, and food always comes out cold or missing an item. You have to ask for napkins and dips after receiving your order while checking to make sure it's all there. I've lost hope for this one

Always quick and efficient, if people actually ordered what they wanted and didn’t over complicate a simple McDonald’s meal they wouldn’t have anything to complain about, dips get missed and occasionally forget napkins but never any issues asking at the drive thru window for them, sometimes pulled into a bay but it’s never longer than 5 minutes, this is the best and quickest McDonald’s in the country and I’ve never had a wrong order.

Disgraceful customer service from the restaurant manager, didn't catch his name and he wasn't wearing a name badge. Just Eat delivered our order to the wrong address, we tried calling Conswater McDonald's multiple times to explain the situation but they wouldn't answer the phone. Eventually drove down to enquire in person, where the restaurant manager was ultra-defensive from the off. Just repeatedly said "my hands are tied, nothing I can do". We pointed out they contract Just Eat to deliver their food, surely there's a process for when this happens? He just said they are really bad at deliveries, happens all the time, nothing he can do. He then actually used the words "what do you want me to do, lay down and cry about it?". Horrendous way to talk to a potential customer in any industry. He did offer discount on a new order after 5 minutes of "there's nothing I can do", but by that stage we didn't want to give the restaurant any more money. Drove straight to Burger King in Forestside and had a great experience

This restaurant is easily one of the worst McDonalds in the whole of the UK, I am not being dramatic, this particular McDonald’s does not giving a flying F about its customers. It’s actually a meme how often they forget to pack things into your bag be it fries, burgers, the little peeley promo things on the side of cups and fries during monopoly or winning sips, or dips (especially dips - they don’t bother, sincerely THEY DO NOT PACK DIPS EVEN IF YOU PAY FOR EXTRA, SO DON’T BOTHER!) They are impossible to contact as they have their phone lines turned off, even the delivery companies give up trying to contact them when there is an issue. The staff are completely useless, obviously they don’t take pride in their work. Sometimes they leave their deliveroo running despite not having the bloody tablet or printer turned on, so they aren’t actually receiving their orders. Which means 2 hours can go by before deliveroo or whoever decides to refund you. (I was told this the last time my order was over 2 hours late l, when I decided to go down to the store myself they then refused to make my order and told me I had to get deliveroo to cancel and I could re-order in store… shambolic) Apparently there is never a manager working to talk to. Honestly just don’t bother ordering McDonalds because these guys are horrendous

As a frequent fast-food patron, I was sorely disappointed with my recent visit to McDonald's. The overall experience left much to be desired. Firstly, the service was painfully slow, with long queues and disinterested staff who seemed more preoccupied with chatting amongst themselves than attending to customers. The food quality was subpar, with my burger tasting like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, and the fries were disappointingly soggy and lukewarm. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also concerning, with tables left dirty and a distinct lack of attention to hygiene. Rule of thumb: never order soda drinks for delivery (unless they're bottled) - by the time you get the order the ice will be melted, it will be flat etc. Fries are best consumed fresh so another no no for deliveries.

Everytime I go through the drive through here, they do not give me the correct order. I get home and am usually missing half of the meal or I have been given the completely wrong order. I am sorry to say I am disappointed in the service at McDonald’s and the standard of food, I’m there every Saturday and I always have to wait at least 25-30 minutes for my order and when I get it home it’s always cold, the worst thing they ever did was Uber eats and deliveroo because they seem to get preference over the customer in the restaurant. I get food for 6 people and spend anything from £30 to £40 so I expect my food to be warm but because they are so busy with the deliveries my food is left sitting until I complain and someone decides to pack it. Quite a few times I have got home home and some of my order is missing and I have to go back and your lucky if you get a sorry.I have also noticed in the drive tru you have to wait longer because of deliveries I was there last night getting a quarter pound cheeseburger meal with only cheese and ketchup and they parked me up and I had to wait over 10 minutes which is something I never did before deliveries started so come on McDonald’s look after all your customers not just the ones getting dliveries

Place is a complete shambles went through drive through as normal ordered a Big Mac meal with no lettuce and pickle and a coke. A McChicken sandwich meal with Coke Zero and two hot apple pies. Paid for meal and went to next window to pick up to be told as usual to go to a parking bay (nearly the norm now!!) waited 15mins on our food and observed every man and his dog going in and coming out from just and deliveroo and god knows who else. Got our food and arrived home to find the chips freezing, hot apple pie luke warm and the plain McChicken sandwich meal had mayo in the burger even though the sticker on the box said plain. If I do grace you with my custom again I will be checking my order before I go anywhere because your staff seem more interested in sorting food carrier orders than anyone else’s!!! Sort it out.

Drive through can be very slow sometimes. Customer service is not great. One girl doesn't even speak a word. I've found customer service at Dundonald and Knocknagoney much better. One morning they kept me waiting in line to order breakfast and then told me it was over!!😡

Pretty good. Staff are friendly and efficient. There is a decent variety of food, which is usually well-prepared. One slight niggle is that one of the servers placed a curse on my cheeseburger. Now, Ronald McDonald keeps watching me when I pee. Leave me alone Ronald. No, I won't let you do a quality control taste taste, so stop asking.

Food wasn't that cold, but I got my order on McDonald's App and they left out a Chicken Big Mac which is £5.69. We also didn't receive 4 sauces for the 20 chicken nuggets. Also no way to contact them for a refund or any compensation. Disappointed.

Went to Mannys in Glengormley yesterday 7th October at 6.30 pm. Ordered one bag of chips and one battered sausage. The guy (with scruffy beard) no glove, serving obviously didn't want to be there. I paid him said Thank you, he didn't look at me or acknowledge my custom. Now l was the only customer. I should have taken note of that warning sign. Mannys was usually packed with queues out the door. Anyway for the privilege of being served l was charged £6.10. Yes £6.10 Now let me get to the food. I asked for salt and vinegar. The vinegar was watered to a tasteless liquid. Couldn't taste any salt. The chips were a soggy cold greasy mess and half were practically raw. Now the battered sausage was something else I'll swear it had been cooked at least twice before I got it. I couldn't bit into it, and that's the truth. Now I was sitting outside Mannys in my car l rolled up my " chips and sausage" and put them in the bin at the garage. I know the guy that served me saw me do this. I was so mad I wanted to confront him, but thought the better of it. The only way to stop this is to warn off other potential customers. Via sites such as TripAdvisor. The thing is Mannys used to be so good. Crispy chips soft juicy sausages. Their fish was a joy, and their sauces delightful. I mentioned my ordeal to a friend last night, he said that Mannys had sold up to a new owner. And had since went downwards fast. I did wonder the staff were new to me. Well the two staff I saw. Then again there were no customers. So my chip, fish, and sausages loving friends all I can say is beware. I've been all over Europe and these were probably the worst food and service in any "chippy"

Food was luke warm at first time of asking. Chips were like mash potato and after 2nd time after complaining the food was the same. I actually thought they were making a joke outta customers. 10 outta 10 won't be back. Hope they enjoyed the price of it 30 quid down the drain. Would rather eat out of the gutter
