We had the 8 course afternoon tea extravaganza for my Mums birthday and it was absolutely amazing, best afternoon tea we have ever had! We were made to feel so welcome and didn't want to leave! The food was delicious and the service outstanding. If you are ever in the area, make sure to pop in, you will not be disappointed!
Catering for 15 people
Simply gorgeous!!
We have pre-ordered to collect on Saturday early morning for a family picnic gathering at the seaside.
Picnic/gift boxes individually prepared with love and care keeping in mind the few allergies and dietary requirements.
The Kitchen Larder team made sure our bespoke order was suited to everyone needs, likes and fit for the 2 hrs car journey - the picnic boxes were carefully and individually labelled, all placed in a practical catering/cool bag to preserve the quality of the food.
Everyone, including the children, absolutely loved their picnic boxes - beautifully presented, lovely fresh ingredients and tasted delicious! Perfect option for the occasion really - smart, as food stayed sand free in the lovely gift boxes and no litter flying away in the wind!
It truly felt like a treat!
I usually use the Khao Sarn restaurant in Walton-on-Thames for takeaway Thai food, but ordered from the Thai Courtyard in East Molesey as Khao Sarn was closed this evening.
The food consisted of a spicy beef panang and sticky rice. Or at least thatâs what I ordered. There was a layer of oil on top of the beef curry that was literally around 1cm thick. The sticky rice was undercooked to the point that it was crunchy.
I called the restaurant to point out the state of the food, at which point the first member of staff told me, âI can assure you that the rice was microwaved correctlyâ.
After a brief dialogue where I was basically accused of lying about the state of the food, I offered to send a photograph of the curry to show how bad it was.
I duly sent a photograph of how bad the food was, and heard nothing back. I then called the restaurant again, before I was asked to explain why the food was unsatisfactory again to several other members of staff, before finally speaking to a woman who purported to be the manager.
The manager was rude and disinterested , making clear that she wasnât interested in the quality of the food she had served.
My advice would be to avoid Thai Courtyard and use Khao Sarn in Walton.
Came in one night just to check it out and have been coming back since. Love the staff, the prices and most importantly, the food; the chicken shawarma wrap is one of the best in Nottingham. If you are ever in Hockley I implore you to visit, you wonât regret it!
