Great environment and customer service. The food is lush! It's my friends favourite Thai restaurant place and now it's my favourite one, too. It's currently got a food hygiene and business rating of very good 5 star score by Derby City Council to date. I can't wait to dine out there again! It's a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating from me, too.

Dreadful service & food. Took an hour to get food . One person serving . 20 mins until we got a drink . Then when the food came , well, certainly not worth the wait ! Or the £65 total !

have I stung your nerves? Why are you so agitated? Everyone has the right to have an opinion on something, not to mention I'm a consumer. Good food we have to praise it without mincing words, why can't unsatisfied service and food consumers speak up? This has nothing to do with anything else, I am just describing my feelings objectively. Also, since when is liking hot water a mistake? I like hot water, just like some people like alcohol and some people like milk tea, so what? I don't have to explain too much to you because you don't respect consumers. Then you must also think vegans troublesome because they don't consume your meat products 🤷 so they consume less? I'm guessing that's what you mean. Anyway, there is a Survival of the fittest in the market and time will give you the answer

One of the best restaurants in Derby, great athmosphere, friendly host and extraordinary food. It was an amazing experience, it is great value for money as the food is something you will never forget. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

We found this little place by chance, the food was great at a reasonable price and the service was excellent, will definitely be visiting again.

Excellent Thai food! Fresh, tasty, well-presented and every dish full of individual flavours.

Visited early on a Tuesday evening and received a very warm welcome. The restaurant is small and intimate. The menu is varied and interesting. As we were celebrating we decided to go through the menu. Starting with the calamari, and a portion of Thai fermented sausages. For main we ordered the Weeping Tiger Steak, the Thai Green Curry - which was one of the nicest I’ve tasted, and Prawn Pad See Ew. The food was great and the service was friendly, efficient and attentive.

This was on a Tuesday, for a 13 th wedding anniversary. Please do not go to this place, as it is not welcoming. The host was so unpleasant, curt and rude. The host was telling us off, when we asked to increase the brightness of the light, zero hospitality. I understand it was a romantic place where the lights are dimmed, it was so low that we could hardly read the menu. The place is very small, dingy, over crowded with tiny tables and dark. Difficult to spot the place. And the set menu is a rip off. Says £30 for a starter, main, and rice. Also says a max of two people can eat from it. We were shocked to see that they charged us twice, since it was 2 of us who shared the meal. The host then shows us a fine print that says, price per person. So why would you say that 2 people can eat from it. And was trying to justify that it would have worked out expensive if we ordered a la carte. Poor portions, there were literally 3 chicken wings on the starter plate and 4 gyozas. It's such a sham and a huge rip off. Half a star really. So much for a 13 th wedding anniversary. Regret going here.

Excellent food and lovely authentic atmosphere. Was a busy evening so slow service, but staff were really friendly. Food was so tasty! Good value for money but not the cheapest evening meal out. Highly recommend the crispy squid and the massamam curry

What a wonderful eating experience! The food was absolutely beautiful, freshly cooked and a delicious variety. We had the set menu which pretty much fulfilled everyone's preferences. The seafood was lovely, pork curry tender and full if flavour and the pad Thai noodles excellent - we could even choose the degree of heat of chills - and the calamari was the best I've ever had! Everything was fresh and tasty. What a wonderful discovery in a tiny but welcoming atmosphere and the service was exceptional. Can't wait to go back!

The first time I went here to try Thai food, at the beginning everything was ok and satisfying until we felt like one of the dishes had a really weird taste, cause one of my friends had tired before she also thought the taste and flavor were totally different compared to previous one, we just ask the waitress the question if something was wrong or if we can change it but the waitress took the plate directly and said that is Thai food and I am Thai loudly and suddenly, ok they can talk about it in a polite way I think we may accept it because different cultures and cuisine we totally respect them, they didn't. Anything else is fine except this one.

Fantastic food. Lamb shank was amazing, vegetable tempura starter was beautiful.

Finale is a great place for excellent Thai fusion food. We ate early before a show and the service was prompt and perfect. The meal deals at the back of the menu were excellent value and so much food that we didn’t eat everything. Thai green curry and a sweet and sour fish dish were particularly tasty. Would definitely book again. Opens at 5.30 which is perfect for eating before a show.

Venue - cozy and peaceful. Value for money - great! The price is all worth it because this is the best Thai restaurant we have tried so far. Staff - wonderful and friendly, professional, efficient! Food - the best! We ordered for a variety of dishes one of which is the famous Tom yum soup which is very delicious and full of flavours. The prawn tempura, chicken gyoza, spicy wings are all tasty. Will definitely come back soon!

First visit here and definitely won't be our last! Lovely, quiet, relaxing vibe with gentle piano music playing in the background. Gorgeous food, takes a while to arrive but that's because everything is freshly cooked to order. Oodles of choice on the menu, really didn't know what to have so will have to go back to try other options! Lots of veggie and vegan options and several meals are gluten free. Try the Thai pancakes for dessert, just completely delicious.

One of the staff members was very rude then he took me to my ex wife house then the staff slapped my butt so hardly that i gone to heaven I recommend coming here

I love Finale Thai! Have been coming here for 3 years and their flavours have always been so authentic. I’m a Thai cuisine fanatic so usually very picky with liking, but this place just satisfies my soul 💗💗 I would definitely recommend coming in and ordering the Green curry and Massaman curry with chicken! Thank me later ;)

Absolutely incredible, has to be experienced to be believed. In a beautiful quirky little porters lodge which used to serve the museum. You really must go

Truly amazing food. Love Thai food and have been to many Thai restaurants but this is by far the tastiest food Ive had. Tbh not very glitzy but not many are as they let the food do the talking. Can only imagine if it was glitzy it would reflect in the price as for the quality of the food to the price its a win win. We will definitely be back thank you.

A lovely experience. It was our first time eating at this restaurant and it was a night to remember. The atmosphere is cosy and the waitress was so lovely and couldn't do enough. The food was incredible definitely one of the best Thai experiences I've had outside of Thailand. Compliments to the chef.

A quaint looking building in its locale, so one we’ve always been drawn to, yet never frequented. Whilst dining out the weekend prior, we’d both discussed this restaurant, so I booked a table! We were greeted welcomingly, and guided to our table. It’s a small, homely, beautifully presented interior dining area The menu is extensive, and varied. The drinks offering is good, though the draught option is poor Our order was taken after what felt like a little too long-a-wait, but as the menu is impressive, and the setting is cosy, it’s not something to be overly concerned about. As it happens, the wait meant we were ready to order Nibbles, Starter, Mains, and Drinks in one visit Drinks were served promptly, and our Prawn Crackers arrived shortly thereafter - homemade and so tasty! Our (shared) Starter arrived as we were finishing the Crackers, and its presentation impressed immediately. We had the fishcake. Unlike the British variation, this was pure fish (no potato). It was beautifully flavoured, and perfectly battered The Mains were delivered to the table shortly after our Starter was cleared and more drinks delivered. They looked stunning! As it was our first visit to this Thai restaurant, we ordered dishes we’ve enjoyed previously elsewhere Neither of us were disappointed. The food was perfectly cooked, and the portion sizes matched…and again with the presentation! This is the best Thai food (short of flying to Thailand) that I have ever eaten. Set in an intimate and beautifully decorated restaurant, you will be treated to a selection of fresh, delicious, authenic and memorable food. The host very friendly and hospitable - it's as if you're walking into her home for a meal. This was not our first time here and it will not be our last!

The food was fantastic. If you are looking for a home cooked Thai vibe then this is the place to go. The staff are friendly and the prices are very reasonable. There is a great car park close by and decent bars for after drinks.

What a gem!! We absolutely loved this place. So small and dainty but the food was to die for, especially the lamb shank massaman! The service was a little slow but the food was worth the wait. Will 100% return! Delicious 👌🏽

Best dinner I've had in a long time. A tiny little cosy, homely restaurant in the city centre. Despite being next to a Revs De Cuba it's quiet in there. The decor is lovely and the whole place has the feeling of being invited round to someone's house for dinner, which we loved. The food was beyond good. We had a range of starters, chicken satay, prawns, wings, gyoza dumplings. Everything was delicious. The peanut dip was the best I've ever tasted. The mains were something else. My massaman curry was so creamy and full of flavour and the fried rice was so good. My wife's seabass curry was also delicious and our friends loved their food too. Even the prawn crackers we ordered were so tasty I considered ordering more to take home. Presentation was amazing, every dish looked straight out of a fine dining restaurant, no corners cut or flourish spared. It looked as good as it tasted. Throughout the night the service was also excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, our server was attentive, polite and friendly. If you want to eat amazing, authentic Thai food at good prices and be made to feel like a VIP then Finale is the place to go. We'll be heading back soon and bringing friends to experience this gem of a restaurant.

An absolute hidden gem in the heart of Derby City Center. I can honestly say, this is the best meal out, I have had in a long time. Service was impeccable and every aspect of the food was sensational. Cannot wait to go back ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First time here tonight. The food is incredible and fantastic service too! Lovely quaint little place. I can’t remember the last time I had Thai food that was this good!

The food was very yummy. Arrived on time. The plating was gorgeous. Good customer service as well. Went in a very rainy + windy evening and had to sit outside which wasn't too bad, but the wind kept blowing the marquee we were sat under and I was so worried it'll collapse 😁 Well, it didn't which was good. I'd go again, probably on a day when it's not as wet.

We went here on Saturday for our anniversary. It was our first night out in over a year after having a baby and with being careful with lockdown etc. We were not disappointed. Every precaution had been taken to keep the customers and staff safe, the atmosphere was friendly, the waitress was welcoming, respectful and helpful and the food was fabulous! We recommend the duck and Weeping Tiger dishes. Both were fantastic. We have also had take-away deliveries from here and have thoroughly enjoyed the food at home too. Please support this lovely restaurant during these difficult times; you won't regret it!

Went here on government eat out scheme never had tai before but it was lovely, tasty food, hot and well presented. A lovely nice ambience so will definitely be willing to return and pay the full price in the future x well done finale x😊

Excellent Thai food in cosy atmosphere

Service was really good, place was quiet and romantic. Perfect for a calm night out with your partner. The food was exquisite, curry was very creamy and meat on point. They also serve fancy cocktails and Thai beer. Menu covers allergies, which is very helpful, but I recommend always mentioning it anyways, just in case.

I discovered the restaurant by chance and it could not be a better option. The atmosphere is very quiet, the staff very friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. This place makes you feel really special.

What a delight of a hidden gem! This little place is tucked away off the strand and you'd easily miss it. Tiny little building with a quirky layout. Service was very good, excellent in fact. We had the tapas menu, all of which were fabulous. The place is small and they fit 2 of us in as a walk in, but i'd recommend booking. I didn't take any pictures, but the images on here are descriptive and accurate enough. I'll be going back again. 100% certainty. for info, this is used to be a little tea rooms place, just down from Revolution de cuba and opposite The Strand arcade. Just in case you needed help getting to it. If in a taxi, get dropped at the bottom of Sadlergate, or Bold Lane car park area. 60 second walk.

Nice, but unusual building. As good a Thai Green curry as I've had anywhere. ONLY complaint is the Singha beer is only available in small bottles, meaning I kept having to flag the waiter over! :-)

Really enjoyed my experience here. The venue is a little quirky I must admit, but the service and most importantly the food was incredible. Between the three of us who ate here we were very happy, good portions and overall good value. Will certainly come back.

It was my sister’s 21st and we got to the restaurant 1 hour later than our reservation but the lady was still very sweet and welcomed us sweetly! The food was soooo amazing ... it was perfect thai food. Even the fries were yummmm and perfectly & crispy ❤️💖 We also stayed past 12 to celebrate and it was past their close time but the lady didn’t say anything. The interior and ambience is really nice too! Thank you, we will definitely be back again!

First visit tonight and definitely not the last! Lovely little place, varied menu but without giving so much choice that you feel overwhelmed. Only one waitress but she was extremely efficient and you never felt you were waiting too long between courses. Food freshly cooked rather than microwaved - give it a try.
