They are very good pork pies, not P Turner standard, but pretty good. And the beer / zero chav count is an excellent combo 👌🏻

Really sad to have to leave a one star at the creaky floorboard. Been many times with my elderly mother but after today, sadly we won't be returning. The landlady behind the bar kept on giving me dirty looks, but soon became very clear they have a zero policy for mobile phones.She shouted over to me from the bar, very abruptly and said turn it off, we don't have background noise in here.I couldn't believe what I was hearing,i wasn't even playing music, and volume was turned down low while showing a friend a 3min video, however ever, another person next to me was swearing out loud,but nothing was said about that.I would suggest the lady should go on some kind of hospitality course on how to treat customers, or better still find a job more suited to your personality.Having said that, it really is a nice well decorated quirky micro pub, good beer and nice customers.

Now if anyone tries to tell you that the floorboards at this location are not creaky, they are dearly wrong 😡. They are some of the best, and most creaky floorboards I have ever encountered on my travels. A great selection of delicious dishes and drumptious drinks, such as the beer 🍺 and ale 🍺. Staff were lovely also. My only critique is that I stubbed my toe on a particularly creaky floorboard. I proceeded to fall over and was laughed at by many a customer. My physical wound has healed, but the embarrassing event has left a permanent mark on my mind. A great time for the whole family

As the name suggests, the floorboards were CREAKY!! So creaky in fact that they added a mega mega atmosphere to the place, I could hardly hear my wife (thank god). Great selection of Ales and I especially loved their wheat beer. The beer garden was wonderful although someone put out their cigarette in my Ale!! Great staff and service.

Awesome local pub that opened a year ago, Beer is amazing with something new to try every week and some old favourites to. Tuesday night is Open Mic with some excellent local musicians on. Rest of the week is just good conversation with friends around the fire and no annoying Tv`s or Juke box to spoil the piece. In the summer there is a stunning beer garden to chill in.The staff are really friendly and there is always a warm welcome to all who visit. Its really is one of the best Micro pubs around and no surprise they won Best Newcomer this year. Several years on We now only go to the Creaky, just as good as ever. Jim and Josie always have a warm welcome and the beer is as good as ever.

Great bar to go to for a few real ales. A bit of a walk from the city centre, but it was worth it

Found this place by accident last night. What a gem. Log fire, cask ales and ambiance. Nailed It £3.80 a pint lovely. Like going back in time and no noisy children to contend with. Bliss!

This micro pub is actually quite big as there are two rooms and a covered outside bit as well as the beer garden. Its located in a Victorian house which has bare brick walls and lots of original features such as the Minton tiles in the hallway entrance. This is a real ale pub and they also do proper cider, Really nice to see a Thundering Molly cider by Celtic Marches. Its an awesome little pub, I visited on a very frosty day and it was nice and cosy in the main bar as they have a proper fire in there. The owner and staff were super friendly and chatty. The toilet was nice and clean and modern. If your coming here via bus from Derby city centre then catch the Allestree (Trentbarton) from outside the Council house on Corporation street and get off outside the Jonty Farmer. I really enjoyed my visit to this pub and very much look forward to coming again. I would highly recommend this pub. I have added lots of photographs and also surveyed it for Google Streetview. Andy

Gutted that they don't serve my usual drinks i.e. guinness or peroni, etc.. it's all IPA, Ale stuff. Very nice place if you're into that kind of thing.

Lovely warm atmosphere and a friendly welcome at this dog friendly pub. Just like sitting in your front room but where they happen to serve alcohol! Well worth a visit.

This place is great! The ambience, the quirky nature of the place and of course the beer All perfect. There really needs to be more places like this.

Great little pub with good range of local brews, wines and spirits. Has couple of rooms with different table sizes and types of seating. Also has outdoor area, part covered where they have live music occasionally. Great to have this as a local.

This converted old Victorian house is so cute. Has a friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. Excellent range of drinks and a separate room where you can sit and relax away from the bar. We ventured out into the Courtyard which have lovely hanging baskets and seating area. Made a really nice change from visiting a larger pub chain. We loved it..

Always call in once a week. Lovely place with a good selection of beers. I frequent to pub for the Brooklyn Defender. Just under a fiver a pint which is very reasonable. Great friendly staff on every visit and lovely locals. No kids allowed! 👏 Spot on👌❤️

Very nice little pub. Outside seating as well. Basic food menu. Cobs etc. It's a old Victorian house. Seating the bar area quite cosy. Do sit in lounge area very unsual decor in there.

Love this place! The owner has done a fabulous job of turning the family home into a larger-than-average micro. Great choice or beverage even for non beer drinkers. Good outside space too. Worth the walk from the city centre.

My oh my. This was our first time in this drinking establishment and we were a little bit disappointed. We got an ice cold welcome from the lady serving. There wasn't anywhere to sit in the main room so we were relegated to the side room, which was ok but completely soulless. No music and no atmosphere. We won't be rushing back.

What a wonderful hidden gem! Fabulous real ale and a very good selection of drinks to suit all! Staff are very friendly and are great hosts and to top it all off they serve the best pork pie I have ever tasted & the cheese & onion cobs are 10/10. The regulars are also lovely the four legged ones are especially great. Brilliant evening at the Creaky, love it! X

We visited The Creaky Floorboard over the Easter weekend, the staff were welcoming and it was lovely to sit in the well kept outside area to enjoy our drinks in the sun. This place is just what this area needs! Can’t wait to return.

Perfect micropub. And we like the landlords dog. As well as his well kept beer andld interesting local cider... Of course.

Were told 1. “I am sick of young people coming in and not always drinking as it is hard to run a micro pub” 2. “Are you gonna get some more drinks then or shall I turn the light off (above your table)?” 3. “Is it just you buying then.. bet you’ll share that” 4. When I asked if he’d prefer if some of my friends drink & drive, he replied “Well I’m old & pissed” - absolutely disgusting and totally unacceptable behaviour. Unprofessional and really quite embarrassing. Do better.

Traditional style independent venue, all about the ales and conversation. Warm and cosy and with a good outer drinking area, both open and part open. Recommended to escape from music and TV venues

Great Micropub on the Kedleston Rd, but very easy to miss: you need to know you're looking for it. Super selection of beer (one of which is a house beer - Derby Brewing I believe, but unconfirmed). Busy, friendly and welcoming.

Lovely pub fantastic ales can get cozy though as not a huge place but we'll worth it if you can grab a table

Surprisingly large for a micro-pub, with an excellent range of real ales and ciders.

In it come to keeping a good hostelry these guys really know their stuff. A welcoming atmosphere, good choice of beers and ciders kept in peak condition and clean toilets. I am sometimes disappointed though when a particular favourite beer of mine has run out when I return. They are just too popular!
