Mezzo is a little gem 💎 Recommended to me around 2 years ago. The BEST, freshest, tastiest food. Seriously fresh. Prepped and cooked to perfection. Take out is just as excellent!! Lovely atmosphere if eating in.....feels like being abroad. Staff and couriers always friendly, and passionate to deliver the best service for their customers. Highly recommend x.

Fantastic value, great tasting lunch Greek themed buffet that is cooked fresh daily with a range of protein options including roast chicken thigh, chicken breast, grilled halloumi, falafel with a wide variety of prepared salads, teriyaki noodles, fresh potato wedges etc. Ample parking outside with clean and well lit interior, outdoor seating options, too. I look forward to returning again soon.

From just looking at the menu the food seems really basic and overpriced and I do find it difficult to justify spending £9.95 on lunch (with the small portion option) but while the ingredients are simple the portion you get for small is filling and as they say the ingredients truly are fresh and delicious. My favourites were the daal and hot potatoes. The main protein I had, chicken breast, seemed bland at first glance but actually tasted very good. Unfortunately I forgot to take additional pictures below the top layer. I think I'd only get this for lunch on special occasions but I think I would get the better value medium for dinner more often, I can't imagine finishing a medium bowl in one sitting.

If anyone gives this less than 5⭐️. I would really be surprised. Speed of service. Value for money and an extremely friendly atmosphere and service. First time buyer today. But certainly not the last.

The food from Mezzo Is great, its fresh and preped quickly from ordering. The staff are really nice. my only issue is the opening hours are somewhat odd some weekends they open some they don't and they don't really give any info on bank holidays. Aside from that the food is great.

Finally - somewhere actually healthy and actually tasty! The portions are great btw, and that’s coming from someone who very rarely leaves restaurants full, I eat alot! I had the large bowl (of course) and for £13 it’s a really good price. Loads of protein and loads of room for whatever your heart desires. The service was nice enough, though a little blunt, and the place was empty, but I’m not complaining - more for me haha! The daal was excellent, same with the hummus but the chicken was somehow so juicy! It really was very good and considering it all is ACTUALLY healthy, not just the usual stuff labelled that way, all home cooked and all self-served, it’s difficult to not like it. The self-serve bowls do finish at 3pm which I didn’t realise, so heads up if you’re planning to stop by, though they do offer pre-made bowls too. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised, usually let down by these kinds of places, but I would recommend this to any health conscious foodie! I will probably be back if I’m ever passing again, thanks so much!

Been here a couple of times now, and it never ever disappoints! Especially the choice of GF! Keep smashing it :)

Home cooked style, high quality, healthy and ran with passion. Excellent variety of super fresh buffet style choices for lunch. Clean and friendly too. We have had dozens of deliveries and eaten in house too.

Extremely bland roast. Decided to take it home and season it but the veges were very hard too. Nothing stood out taste wise and there was little to no atmosphere when dining in. The portion size was big otherwise it would have easily been 1 star.

Decent food and can be healthy....if you want. I do think it's a little overpriced for what you get (£10 for a small bowl)

Food was very fast and seemed healthy too and fresh. Was nice to be able to choose and add sauces too. Was nice could talk and was friendly.

The chicken gyro and fries were the best I have ever tasted. The buffalo wings were just the right heat, very tasty My wife had the mixed medium bowl, which she managed half of and said its now her new favourite place to eat in Derby. Excellent online ordering system as well.

The atmosphere isn't great as is primarily a take away. Very clean. The food is healthy a tastes fantastic. A superb alternative to any traditional takeaway. The portion sizes, quality of food and range of food are far better than it's closest rival: Leon. Edit: We bought from them again last night. Same great level of service and food. 6ish pick-up so cannot comment on the lunchtime restaurant experience!

Spent over £50 and was only allowed one stamp on loyalty card despite buying for four people. Next time it'll be separate transactions. Also bloke in back telling people off for a lettuce leaf going over the top lip of the bowl, very petty.

We use Mezzo frequently both personally and also for corporate lunches, the staff are always helpful and accommodating when placing large orders for 20+ people each with a completely unique order and they have always got it right 100% of the time! The food is always delicious and I would definitely recommend to anyone - a healthy option whilst tasting incredible! We love mezzo and will definitely continue to use ❤️

I have been getting my lunch here and there from this place ad I cannot fault it. The portion sizes are amazing, the food tastes fresh and flavorful, and the prices are reasonable. If you are looking for a filling, healthy lunch, then look no further. It is obvious that the staff care about the food they make.

This place is great, I went once with a friend, and now I take clients when doing a working lunch. 10/10 would recommend. The food is always tasty and perfectly cooked EVERYTIME!

I'm a chef and honestly, I'm confused. The website and social media sells this as a posh nosh, table service restaurant, but when you arrive, its a healthier fast food outlet. Don't get me wrong, the food was stunning and a good price. We thought we would eat in as it was so clean and nice looking, but the two girls that were on shift had very little interpersonal skills, it wasn't exactly welcoming. Having Kiss Energy on wasn't very conducive to my expectations or the atmosphere of the place either. I'd have expected at least plates when eating in too, but instead you get cardboard takeaway boxes. The place is lovely, nice and bright, well decorated and clean. As they do takeaway and delivery service, I would have expected a reasonable flow of people on a Friday evening, but we were the only ones there, feeling like we were a pain in the backside to the staff because they wanted to close and go home. In my mind, the owners have an excellent idea and an excellent USP, but it needs polishing a bit. Simply get the service to match the website and social media, create a nice atmosphere, which in a place like that is very simple, get some plates in and you'd be onto a winner. I would definitely order delivery from them, but as for eating there, no.

Came in for the first time, the girl at the register was very friendly and accommodating. She recommended that I go for the buffet where I was not disappointed!!! The wedges were to die for. Noodles, scrumptious. Have read other reviews suggesting the prices are too expensive, however, I didn’t even manage to finish my large sized bowl and I would back myself to eat a lot. Would highly recommend and will be returning. All round a good bang for your buck.

Great food, a little on the pricey side but the 'small' bowls still hold a lot so are a good deal and very tasty. Sometimes run pre-orders quite late (by 20 30 mins) if they've got a rush on at lunch which can be an issue if you're short on time on a lunch break.

Ordered takeaway for the first time from here and it was really lovely! Not greasy and heavy like a typical takeaway but still really tasty and satisfying. Would deffo order again.

Found this by googling healthy takeaway food in Derby. I had a few to wait in the city and am not familiar with it really. I took a small takeout box. 8.95 with a protein choice and self serve filling the rest. Very nice, if I'm back I'll visit again

I visited mezzo the other day after only just discovering it, I wish I’d of known before now it was there The food was amazing and so full of flavour!! The front of house girl was very nice and polite

I discovered Mezzo through my place of work and if I could afford to eat here everyday, I would. This is the kind of food that has you weeping with pure happiness with every bite and can make a bad day that much better. Mezzo really does remind you how incredible food can be. Highly recommended!

Decent for a lunchtime, although not daily because it's quite pricey. They have a range of sumo bowl sizes (I've always found the 'small' to be plenty big enough).

The best restaurant in derby. So great to have a restaurant with a wide variety of healthy delicious meals. There are so many vegan and gluten-free options. We love being able to choose the size of our bowl (which means the kids can have the right size for them) and then choose from proteins, hot options, sides and the massive salad bar. We highly recommend their falafel, potato wedges and coleslaw. We will be going many more times! Service is quick and everyone’s really friendly.

Ermmmm hello? So where have I been… THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!! The food is authentic and flavourful I just couldn’t put my fork down. The quality and freshness is next level compared to competition! So glad we tried here we will 💯 return!! Oh and those Potato wedges 👀 can I get a bucket full next time 😂 MUST TRYYYYYYY!!! Delivery was super easy and convenient and the food was still pipping hot.

Love the food here. So many options to choose from. Food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Staff are so nice and welcoming and have a great engagement with their customers too. I have been going to Mezzo since it pretty much opened and would highly reccomend this place to anyone !!

I love getting lunch at Mezzo. Alongside a healthy sized portion of chicken I usually get some daal, maybe some meatballs or chicken curry, vegetables, rice and salad. Delicious and nutritious!

Was visiting Derby for the first time today and a friend suggested we headed to Mezzo for lunch. This business is amazing. The food has kept me full for hours (1pm to 8pm and I'm still not hungry) such a great variety and concept. If you ever expand down to Kent please let me know, I'll be your first customer

Visited here for lunch with my daughter and 3 nieces. We had a really fantastic experience. The staff members were great and very accommodating, the food was very fresh and tasted so good. Between is we tried the salmon, the chicken and the halloumi and none of us were disappointed. I had the salmon and it was delicious. There was a great choice of sides and again they were fresh, tasty and even in a small bowl we had plenty to eat and we were all full. It was very reasonably priced too. Would highly recommend this place

Disappointing. Prices have gone up for the 3rd time since opening and now at staggering 'Airport-esk' rates. No loyalty scheme. No meal deal. No discounts for neighbour businesses and variety of options lacking. Shame as had potential. £6.95 for an extra small box? £8.95 for a medium box? may as well go for a proper sit in Lunch at Seven or Nicco's.

I’ve got to say that this is my go to place if I’m fancying a takeaway. The food is sooo good! I’ve tried a few meals from Mezzo but my favourites have got to be the chicken curry as well as a portion of potato wedges. Highly recommend. You can tell that they use nothing but excellent quality food to make their meals. If you haven’t tried Mezzo, you really should! You won’t regret it!

We order food from Mezzo's on a regular basis for our office team and client meetings, we always find the food is amazing, healthy and with a wide choice and great value for money compared to other offerings on Pride Park, the staff are always polite and helpful when we order, we'll certainly be back again soon.

Its got too expensive. Was decent when it was a local, convenient and cost effective option for busy business people but now priced to compete with proper pride park restaurants yet not offering the experience, variety or service. Used to go every day, won't be going anymore sadly.

Great food; clean and well set up. A good Mediterranean feel on a sunny day eating outside.

Was recommended to me. Food was really tasty. I chose the boneless chicken thighs, then I was able to help myself to a bit of everything else that I fancied to fill my bowl. Hot and cold selections. Sat inside at the window, very clean and relaxing. Friendly staff. Large undercover outdoor area to sit at too. Will definitely return.

First time I've ordered from this restaurant via a take away app, the food was tasty, cooked very well as its tough to get fresh veg cooked just right but this was perfect. Food was still nice a warm on arrival. Food was also reasonable priced and the best take away Food I've had in years and I suffer from eating issues. 100% recommended.

I had lunch here a few times now. Amazing food. The chicken is seasoned to perfection, the portion sizes are perfect, and the staff always seem happy and friendly. A touch pricey for regular lunch, but absolutely worth it.

Found this place on Instagram. Great tasting, healthy food with a multiple vegetarian variations as well. We like to order for 8+ people and never have an issue with collection if we give enough time. Little tricky to find the place when collecting but there is signage that makes it a little easier for returning customers.

I have been to Mezzo more times than I can count now, I have never ever been disappointed, everytime I come in I say I need to write a review and forget so here it is. The food here is incredible, you can choose one of several protein options, as a meat eater the chicken is cooked perfectly! I went today and there was a chicken curry which was amazing, they even have vegan options which are also delicious! They have a good amount of options but not too much where it's crazy and can't decide, even have salad and premade sandwich section. If you haven't been yet honestly you should go, I can't recommend them enough, if you go before 3pm it's a buffet style so you will be able to try a good variety of things. I go so often it's silly but the price is decent and the food is too good to say no to!
