Birds in Derby

The manager in glasses was very rude and unhelpful regarding my special request for my disability and laughed in my face. Very disappointed in this experience at birds as it’s usually my go to spot on a morning.

It states on line that the Oakwood shop opens at 7:30, this is not correct. I was there for opening but by 7:50 sill no sign of life at the shop but the shutters were only lifted about 18 inches. I have better things to do with my time so I went else where. Don’t advertise incorrect opening times or was the staff to lazy to open on time?

I went in on Saturday 5/4 morning at 8:30 and was served by 2 great female colleagues. Friendly, chatty and a credit to your company. Please can you make sure they receive this positive feedback.

They forgot 2 cakes and it’s not cheap to buy from. So was gutted, plus paid under £4 for 2 things that didn’t come.

We payed for 100 cookies go give out to the homeless and they gave us 99 we payed shedloads of money and they missed out a singular cookie not impressed Oakwood 1 star Rembert that that singular honless person never got there chocolate chip cookie shame on you

I never received my food. delivery driver gave me someone else's food shopping from coop and not my birds order!

Coffee machine not working again, told to use the chaddesden store, drove 20mins to it only to find there coffee machine was being cleaned. Used Costa Coffee instead, cheaper & better service after all!

Called in yesterday to buy a pork pie but walked out after being ignored by 3 members of staff who stood around chatting. One even had the temerity to turn tound and say "be with you in a minute". Oh no you won't because I won't be there. Put your customers first before discussing your social life.

Cakes and pies are still amazing after all these years, but you will never find out their true calorie content. Just enjoy the best cakes, pies, and bread you have ever tasted 🥰

Birds is legendary in Derby, possibly the best cream cakes in the country, everything is delicious and the hot sausage/bacon/roast pork rolls are fantastic.

Who can say anything bad about birds. Staff are friendly shops are clean cakes are too die for. Such a good selection of savoury took. Top bakery birds.

Ordered chicken may sandwich and got chicken mayo and bacon . Bacon seemed old like wanted to get rid of

The lady at birds didnt read the ordered correctly. Admitted that over the phone. Then we had get a family to collect the order. Think the lesson is make sure staff read the order correctly or ask if he or she doesnt understand the order. Hope its a leason learnt.

I really like the products there, food is very nice, few tables and chairs are bonus, but to me the smell of sausages over the donuts and cakes is a big NO.

Can't fault birds, never had anything bad from there all excellent.

Excellent food is always so very tasty a bit expensive but totally worth it.

Everything nice lots to choose from cakes, pastries, sausage cobs, sandwiches and tea, coffee.

Busy bakery,brought hot pasties and cakes for lunch. Very flavorful pasties, recommend you try these. Cakes we had egg custard ,caramel donut filled with cream and an elephants foot,what's not to like?

Lovely cream cakes, fresh bread and tea cakes, the small chocolate santas are expensive but nice for the odd treat. The staff are usually cheerful and chatty.

Birds bakery shops you cannot fault them. Staff are brilliant, pleasant helpful. Bread and rolls are amazing.

What can you say? This is the region's best cake shop and their bread is delicious too. Good place for a morning coffee and a hot bacon roll or mid morning coffee and pastry.

The only bread I can eat without bloating, cakes are great too.

Staff are not polite never helpful asked for 3 sausage cobs they said there would be a 25min wait I payed and said I would come bk and when I did another lady said they would be another further 10min didn't apologise for the inconvenience i had to go to counter they should of come over and apologised for how long ive waited but no nothing I definitely will not be returning and putting in a formal complaint
