Incredible lamb biryani by the guys from Behrouz The Royal Biryani. Plenty of meat, flavourful rice and sauce with authentic taste. Wraps are great value and vegetable kebabs in the house were amazing as well. Food alone is worth a visit, but great value pints and a comfortable beer garden with parking make it a must visit.

Good karaoke crowd. Shame they have to finish early at 11pm.

Hopped in for a beer and surprised to know they have started food as well. I tried a chicken wrap which is very good in taste, will be stopping to try biryanis in next visit.

Very surprised by some of the food reviews here, especially when it comes to food value for money. The Tikka Paneer Wrap was tiny for 8.99 and not very tasty or special, cheese in a wrap with lots of mayo and some fries. Wraps you get in Cambridge would be cheaper and tastier, therefore I'm sorry for the bad review, but I'm very disappointed. Maybe the Biryanis are better, will try again at some point. Staff was very friendly.

Wonderful food tonight! Sorry we ate too quickly and didn't take any photos. The mutton biryani was amazing 🤩 so much flavour and right amount of spiciness. We also had the chicken wrap which was also amazing. We originally thought they were quite cheap, maybe the portion would be quite small but I was so wrong! We have leftover for tomorrow and I have never looked forward to tomorrow's lunch so far LOL

Best biryani I ever had in Cambridge . I have been to Behrouz in India many times and since they have opened in Cambridge and Waterbeach, this has made my life easier to order food and I have a taste of India. I recommend their lamb biryani, Hara Hara kebab Samosa chaat For sure.

Edited 28/11/24. Still a 5 star review as The Taps has only improved further with the food truck roster becoming a permanent weekly staple (Instead of a trial and error when the pub first opened). Always fun and entertaining events going on, aimed at families and not just drinkers or sports fans. Team always friendly and always chatty. Major sports shown but even on a quiet night will gladly change one of the two sport televisions if you want to watch something specific. Affordable, fun and friendly atmosphere with good food and vibes. Will continue to make The Taps my go-to when in Waterbeach.

Amazing experience, we went there on opening day with our friends who live in Waterbeach and enjoyed a lot. With great choice of beer specially Neck oil & Cobra on Tap was our favourite. They had some nibbles and that was so delicious that I will definitely coming back. As soon as they start doing food, this pub is going to become a place to eat and drink. Cosy atmosphere, great service, highly recommended. Their new landlord Sukhi is great person who makes sure that everyone is welcomed, he was talking to all the guest making sure they are comfortable, I am sure he will make this place a successful pub. All the best guys!

Nice pub, great service and a perfect beer garden, partially covered for the rainy days, and with an amazing playground area, so great for those like us visiting with kids.

Honestly one of the best places around. Always here on a weekly basis! Landlord is a great laugh and always feel welcome! Especially with the cocktail nights on the last Friday of the month!!

If you live in Cambridge you need to come here to find out what a proper pub is. What you spend on taxi you will save on drinks.

Good old proper village pub, landlord makes you feel welcome & at home nothing is to much trouble, only does food at certain times but there is a chip shop 200 yards away & the landlord don't mind if you get fish & chips & eat them in the pub, good size garden kids can run round garden is fenced in so kid can't get out, but still need to keep an eye on them

Passing through as a trucker... unable to get served coz not a “local!” Walked passed after visiting another close by pub and two people having a drink. Their loss.. will not be visiting again, little disappointed!

Used to drink here on a very regual basis when I was posted to waterbeach. Went in today when passing to be told "no passing trade, only locals" Unfortunately for them they have lost my trade for good and the trade around 15 others who would have regularly drank there.

Good, well kept ale at a fair price

Brilliant place. Very welcoming local village pub. Allows dogs provided they are well behaved of course.

Great memories of a life gone by has not changed, just changed hands. Glad this pub is now run by an ex Sapper, even though the Regiment has now moved. At least some tradition can kept up and old Sappers have a home to visit.
