A long wait for food and then we were asked to leave our table while eating dessert as another party was due on there. If the food wait wasn’t so long we would have vacated the table much before. The food was also not great, it all looked like it had been sitting around a long time and tasted much the same. Very disappointed considering the high prices.

Unfortunately, not a great experience. Whilst I appreciate that they were very busy, a 90 minute wait for our main course, to have one of the meals come out raw was not acceptable. I ate my meal on my own whilst waiting for an alternative meal to come out for my husband. Admittedly, we were not charged for our main courses but it kinda spoilt the first day of our holiday. An experience not to be repeated !!

Our 3rd time here. Walked all the way from Fenstanton for the Caribbean night to have a meal and a fews drinks. The add doesn't say must book to eat at all. When arrived they said Food only to pre booked. Wasn't happy decided to cut the lossesand go somewhere else. Next time they should advertise properly. Rather annoying.... Review from previous visit below. Food was more or less traditional pub grub. Creme brulée was the best. Wine a bit expensive. Starters with not much choice. Good countryside pub and nice beer garden. Will return.

Absolutely disgusting place, the staff are very rude, spoke to the manager, some man, he was very egotistical and incredibly rude. The food was mediocre at best. We went on a Sunday as we were told the roasts were something amazing. I had the beef which was well done, tough and chewy, the roast potatoes were burnt, the Yorkshire pudding was flat and doughy like it wasn’t cooked properly and was very heavy. All in all will not be coming back again and will be warning people off this place

Nice menu with something for everyone as well as the specials on offer. I ordered the three tuns burger, it was absolutely delicious! A very generous amount of fries, some lovely battered onion rings. The burger was perfectly cooked and the bacon was full of flavour. Would highly recommend having food here. First lunch out since restrictions lifted on 17th May. The weather was cold, wet and windy and the pub was freezing. Everyone was sitting in their overcoats inside. Not helped by everyone going out the rear exit and leaving the door open - need a spring closer on that door. The poor lady sitting just inside the door spent her whole meal getting up to close the door. The cream of asparagus soup was delicious and hot. Two of the steak and ale pies had over cooked and dried up pieces of steak but there was plenty of filling in the pies. The veg was hot and well cooked. Desserts were really good. Waited 25 minutes for the bill. Normally would have been happy to sit and chat after the meal but, by then, everyone was freezing and ready to go home. Would go back again on a warm day.

I went to The Three Tuns for a Sunday meal with friends. We sat outside in the covered area. It was really beautiful there, but it was a little chilly. We arrived at 1pm and we only got our food at 2pm. I was starving! I had a gluten free Sunday Roast with beef. The beef was really good, the gluten free Yorkshire pudding was not very nice. I like my vegetables to be healthy, but the vegetables were too undercooked for my liking. They were so hard that it was difficult to cut through them. The gluten free gravy was good. The gluten free brownie dessert was amazing! I don't think I will go back here for a Sunday Roast

Having been here before we had hoped to enjoy it just as much. Unfortunately we didn't. We were placed by the ladies toilets which whilst there is some kind of air freshener to hide a toilet odor, it was off putting - they should consider doing something different in that area. My steak and ale pie was good, but the chicken dishes were pretty poor. The chicken was chewy. My daughter spat hers out after about a minute of chewing a piece - I (dad) then tried it to see and it was very tough; almost like it had been reheated. My dad (grandad) also had chicken and his was the same. In addition, I like al dente veg, but some of the veg was raw, including the cauliflower cheese, which I didn't think was possible. It wasn't worth sending back because we'd already waited 1 hour for the food (That's not their fault, they were busy, which is a good sign) and everyone was getting hungry. To that end, the atmosphere was good, they have a good pint and the kids play area is excellent.

Another visit and have come away full of praise for this pub. Everything works very well from the initial greeting to paying the bill. Food is tasty, well presented, and good value which isn’t the case at so many pubs post Covid. Good selection of beers that regularly include a couple of good guest ales. Pub has great character and a chilled vibe which is as important as the food and drink when spending good money eating out. One of those pubs you’re confident will consistently deliver highly and are happy to recommend to friends.

This is our experience on the night. I can’t vouch for others. A group of us went to the Three Tuns on the evening of Sat 20 Jan. It was very busy with a mixed age group of people drinking in the bar area and eating which created a good vibe in this classic country pub which is full of character. We had a variety of mains and puddings and all of us enjoyed them. I had the Chicken Dhaba which was outstanding (IMO better than any Indian Restaurant. It’s about as hot as a Madras). We also had the fajitas, seabass, jerk chicken and pie. Everybody was happy with what they had ordered. All arrived together. Clean plates all round. I chatted to a chap from another table who said that the prawn curry was also spot on. From what I saw all the staff seemed friendly, efficient and, while attentive and timely in their service, were not overly present. Overall we had an enjoyable and stress free evening in a relaxing atmosphere. We all agreed that we would definitely go again and I will be recommending it to friends and family.

Visited as part of a large group and was very pleasantly surprised by the excellent service. Staff were exceedingly friendly and the atmosphere was great. We were seated in an outdoor area but it was very warm with a log fire and well decorated for Christmas. The food was alright, although definitely could have been better. This is to be expected though with a larger group, when serving everything hot together comes with the cost of slightly chewy roast potatoes having been kept warm. The turkey on the roast dinner was also very dry, which was a shame. I'd definitely be happy to return, though, and would expect the food quality to be fantastic with fewer people.

Was their for the switching on the Christmas tree lights and Carol's being sang. This now is becoming a traditional thing every year with the Swavesey Choir, singers from Fen Drayton and Brass accompaniment. Is a very festive event. The Three Tuns is a lovely pub very popular and has a garden extension that you can have a drink or meal in but you do need to check because of heating this in the winter it is not always open. The garden has seats in it so if you feel you want to be outside you can still do this. Father Christmas opened the Carol Service.

Great community pub! The guy who greeted us and took our orders was amazing and so attentive. Great food and dessert. Very welcoming and felt very relaxed about the whole evening and meal. The chocolate fudge tart was incredibly rich but with the crème fresh it cut through the tart and gave such amazing flavours. 5/5 Came back this Sunday for roast lunch and while the beef was amazing and cooked great! the vegetables were undercooked and the women running the pub instead of being apologetic said it's Al dente which is fine for pasta but not root vegetables that require me to put strain on the knife to slice through. 2.5/5

Great service, choice and food. Bring your own a great offer too that reduces overall cost. Although looks basic from the outside do not be put off. Staff very good.

We’ve visited Provenance a few times in the summer and it is normally a treat. We popped in for lunch this week and it was really disappointing though. Firstly the restaurant was cold. I didn’t take off my coat and gloves the whole time we were there. For starter I had a pork croquette. It was a lump. The size and shape of a Gregg’s sausage roll and a really peculiar texture. I only ate half of it. For main course my husband had a lamb burger. It was left on the side for ages and almost cold. The amount of cumin in the mayo made it very peculiar. Our fries were also almost cold. My main course, pork loin, was underdone in places and over in others. It came with a gravy that wasn’t mentioned on the menu. I wouldn’t have ordered it had I known. Overall, we won’t be rushing back. Staff apologised and took the cost of the fries off our meal (£4). The experience still cost us £67. Very unimpressed.
